Laios Touden and autism; admiring the non-human
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Do you think people exaggerate when they scream about Laios being autistic? Do you feel like it’s weird that so many people including autistics are so set on Laios, the problematic (but incredible and kind) king TM, being the most autistic that has ever autisticed? Why do we cheer on autistic people wanting to be monsters?? Isn’t that weird?
Well, of course it depends on the way it’s done, it can be done quite offensively, but long story short Kui blew it out of the park. The thing is, autistic people really do like monsters and animals and robots. Nonhuman does not mean subhuman, it just means Other. Feeling a connection with them has been shown to be an extremely common autistic experience for that very reason.
Because some people don’t understand why we autistic Tumblr Laios stans cheer “autism! Autism!” whenever he talks about monsters and feeling alienated to humans so! Here’s a post about how yes even research papers are analyzing the special connection we form with animals. I’m not even joking but Laios Touden & the mass cries of relatability with autistic people he gets and all the love for him could be used as study material and evidence for future papers because the link is that strong. Oh also I think it’s notable that being autistic and undiagnosed vs diagnosed makes a huge difference. In my experience as someone who was undiagnosed up until 18, it’s even more alienating to not know that there’s a reason why you’re different, being gaslit that you’re ‘normal’ and you just need to try harder and get with the program, etc. Personally when getting diagnosed I went through the 5 stages of grief because the thought of having been fundamentally different all your life (a difference which you will never be able to change) and mistreated for it when you weren’t “wrong” all along makes you unload all the anger and sadness and loneliness and sheer trauma you’ve built up over time. Like it’s world shattering.
So! Back to seeing dogs as family. Also I implore you to value experiential evidence when it comes to autism and other neurodivergences because brains are complicated and neurotypicals not being able to understand us well even with scientific research is like, a whole thing even though we’re right there speaking about how we feel and being right every time because the topic is literally us and how we experience the world.
Disclaimer for this whole post that, of course, no group is a monolith and everyone has different experiences or can diverge from the norm of the group, and that doesn’t diminish the validity of either side! Like, I know autistic people who have trauma with dogs and hate them. But, trends do happen, and in this case... Autism is very “My experiences with humans make me feel dehumanized in a bad and lonely way so instead I’ll dehumanize myself in a good and inspiring way”.
“I was treated like a failed human my entire life and you’re surprised that my response was to become a dog.” -Patricia Taxxon
It’s literally well recorded that autistic people relate to animals more than humans globally. With this post, besides spreading autistic Laios truthism and explaining why the portrayal hits so deep for so many,  I want to show in what way this is a very specific experience and not looking at his character through an autistic lense really misses a lot of why he’s everything that he is. (Tacking allegedly onto here for legal reasons, different interpretations are valid etc etc /gen). This honestly isn’t super long though.
To define an important term, anthropomorphism in the studies and in this post means to attribute human traits to the nonhuman, which not only includes anthro furry designs but also animals irl, inanimate objects, and animated media as opposed to live action, to humanize them and empathize with them.
Tumblr media
Paper: https://www.liebertpub.com/doi/10.1089/aut.2019.0027
Tumblr media
“Dogs taught me how to hunt and socialize and work in groups”, Laios having internalized body language... So real so real. I, too, make a great dog impression. And I want to emphase the part that it helps greatly develop a sense of emotions and relationships! For Laios, he didn’t get along with kids his age, it was him, Falin and the dogs against the world. Since it’s a group of dogs too, it taught him group dynamics and social hierarchies (like with Falin being considered as being below the dogs in authority according to the dogs rip), and the importance of group coordination when hunting.
For me, I cannot like, concisely explain just how much animals were important to me developmentally. I also grew up with dogs, but like I vividly remember encounters with like hamsters as well just radically shaping my understanding of boundaries, the importance of giving something space and the way you interact with them and respect their side of it. Unlike humans they don’t really mask how they feel, it’s direct cause-effect reaction and data gathering. There are no words involved, so the focus on having a perfect phrasing and tone is gone, leaving just pure interactions.
Tumblr media
There’s also no reason to mask how you feel either, and you don’t have to feel silly over wanting to form a connection and it showing, what, is the dog gonna laugh at you because you obviously want to make friends with it? Toshiro or Kabru might, but dogs and cats will just tell you to fuck off and leave it there worst case scenario. I often say that I think one reason Marcille is special to Laios and he feels comfortable around her is because she emotes INTENSELY, she gestures, she puts her whole body into it, her facial expressions are pretty exaggerated and her ears even emote too- like with a dog’s ears!
I think there’s def also things to be said about how he gravitated towards Izutsumi at first, all excited, was eager to sleep in the same bed as her, but in the Izutsumi sleep rating chart we see they really just casual and chill so it’s not a Laios talking to Shuro deep into the night situation just a “I like sleeping besides animals” situation and that is enough to hype him up. I love how he pet her in the extra about why Chil let her sleep with him too. He’s just so transparently eager to befriend her, even if in the end they weren’t all that compatible and he accepted that.
Tumblr media
There are honestly so many examples I could give for this. Like Grandin the famous cow lady.

More about autism & empathy:
Tumblr media
https://www.spectrumnews.org/news/double-empathy-explained/ (Also mentions a study in which groups of autistic, allistic then a mixed group played a game of telephone and both singular groups had similar levels of information retention, but the mixed group was significantly worse. As an autistic person yeah duh, obviously autistic people are different from one another and can have plenty of interpersonal issues, but communicating with other neurodivergent people feels pretty intuitive and straightforward and comfortable. One of the reasons why neurodivergent people tend to naturally gravitate towards each other I suppose.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Paper: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5932358/  For good, extensive summary of why we relate to animals so much you can go to the “anthromorphizing and asd” section of the paper. This paper extends to our widespread liking of cartoons and robots as well. Ok so this is a whole thing I won’t get into here but this is a big reason why a lot of autistic people are agender leaning as well. Genders and queerness in general is a lot about social constructs, and being queer is being marginal to these, not fitting into boxes or challenging those social norms and conventions. Queerplatonic relationships are a great example of this, where the framework of the relationship is platonic but the intangible nature of what it is exactly is the point, not familial not anything but everything at once too, just adoration, I like to say having pets is a bit like it as well, bc obvi it’s not romantic and often not fully familial, very platonic but also sooo much cuddling and adoration and kissing and whatnot that you wouldn’t typically do with a friend or family member. I’ll talk about qpr and labels another day though.
I got carried away but queerness in Dunmeshi is something I 100% want to make a big post on one day. Experiencing the world with different guidelines and not registering things to have the same boxes, sigh. Personally I also relate to Laios on a gender level, “cis by default because I don’t care all that much but if I were to dig deeper I’m probably otherkin and I want to be socially associated with traits of monsters and animalistic rather than man/woman” sighh hard to be a cryptid in this day and age. I wish we had a term like furry but for monsters, I want to be in the fantasy or folk tale genre ty, like changelings. Goshh changelings... You know, the irl myth where people said their neurodivergent kids were fairies’ children instead of human. Diminished physical sense of self means I see myself as some unknowable black  void aesthetic wise, but like in a way that simultaneously makes me feel seen. Like becoming a monster, losing your sense of self but also somehow just being simplified and seen for what you are, it’s weird to try and explain. This post is more about relating to the nonhuman than about seeing yourself as such, but like connect the dots right, that IS an important point of Laios’ character. It’s because our brains literally work different than allistics which makes us feel as other, but also because of social ostracization and functioning in a different way than society at large, living in the margin of society, being weird and non-conforming.
Meanwhile, animals and social norms... Like ok, showing your neck and rolling on the ground to show that you’re friendly and harmless and play biting might not be proper. But have you considered that it’s also fun and feels very intuitive. Play with a dog in the dog’s way I promise it is so nice and freeing. Play tug of war and growl back when they growl. Hiss at your cat to tell them they do something wrong, engage with them on their level.
Tumblr media
Autism made social life hard, but it made animals easy. Do you have anyyy idea how good it feels to mask all day every day and feel constantly misunderstood or like you’re doing a performance but then you can just, drop all of that in the company of animals and they understand you. They understand you. You form an understanding and rapport so easily.
And this whole thing with Laios is so explicit too, with the Winged Lion saying “You’re sick and tired of the human world”. Notice the choice of words. Sick and tired of the human world. Exhausted from the constraints, sick of the mind games. It really isn’t as much about loving monsters as it is about loving the nonhuman. Relating to them because you feel that you can actually understand how they work and think, and feeling like they could understand you back as well. Animals are safe.
Tumblr media
Like I could go on about how Laios admiring even just demi-humans like orcs is because they’re socially seen as non-humans more than any true physical thing, that they’re not bound by human society and its rules and live with their own lifestyle. But it would deal myself 1000 points of psychic damage and I am not ready to cry today. It’s idealization 100%, and like, Laios DOES want to be treated as human, to be valued, but it feels like an unreachable thing meanwhile becoming a monster is instant gratification and freedom and a sense that now no one will be able to hurt you in a way that reaches you, never again shall you be defenseless, and then if people dehumanize you then that only strengthens your sense of identity as a monster and UGHH ugh ugh.
And like. This post is a mess at this point but if you want to kinda delve into the more “why” then I recommend this Patricia Taxxon video essay. It starts out on a very different topic, but it’s all about autism and finding comfort in the inhuman. Long story short is othering made us like this also animals are just simpler to intuitively get along with.
So when I post this
Tumblr media
I mean it. I really mean it when I say he’s me. I have never felt so seen. So many conflicting emotions all wrapped so concisely yet so intangibly woven into the whole storyline so subtly.
Not being depicted as a monster of an human being for feeling/having felt that way?? The manga understands you. The world can understand you. Other humans can understand you. You can bond with them. You can. And I think that’s a big part of Dungeon Meshi too- Laios opening up to others about how he really is and his interests, and all the bumps on the way but how it was the only way to truly get to know each other and bond. With the climax being Laios confronting head on his complex with monsters and humans, and his monster-loving side and animalistic side being exactly what saves the whole world, what saves humanity. Because Laios does value his friends, does think humanity has beautiful sides to it, he wants to help it thrive and eat and become more accepting, carving out a kingdom for misfits and demi-humans. At the end of it, transforming into a monster and being free is a daydream fantasy, and the reality of it is that Laios does belong in the world as he is, and does receive and give out love.
If you enjoyed this you’ll probably like some of my other Laios analysis!  Here’s an analysis of his succubus and what it says about his relationships with other humans. And here’s an analysis about his relationship with Shuro from his perspective.

Nightguard
Just something small cos I liked the image in my head of Moon laying on top of someone like a cat trying to hide her kittens and decided I could make a scene out of it
----
You wake up to something climbing on top of you.
Like, on top of you. Though no weight actually lands on your body, the dip of the mattress behind and in front is more than enough to pull you from slumber's sweet embrace. A lifetime shared intermittently with pets (and even more intermittently with partners) keeps you from lashing out as you wake up. The fact that the covers are pinning your limbs down also helps.
Blinking blearily, you struggle to make sense of a room painted in charcoal and carbon black. It takes you a few seconds to figure out that the reason you keep interpreting the patch of grey directly in your line of sight as a solid surface is because it is a solid surface, one only a few inches past the end of your nose. You really only figure that one out when it moves, the lighter dot of a screw moving incrementally to the left.
An amused huff, and you whisper to the figure crouched over you, "Hello, Moon. Something wrong?"
Soft bells, and the speaker housed just above your ear vibrates with an even softer "Shhh..."
The corners of your mouth pull back in a slight smile, and you snuggle down in your blanket. You're beginning to overheat a little, but the plastic and metal limbs forming this cozy cage leave no loose fabric for errant toes to make an escape. You'll just have to endure it for the time being.
The flat disk of Moon's head takes up most of what you can see, and his arms cover the rest. Wiggling your legs a little confirms what you can't see; the former Naptime Attendant's legs on either side of your own, loose starry pants covering a much larger area than legs could alone. If anyone were to walk into your room, only the blanket around your midsection would be visible under the tangle of jester.
Which was the point, of course.
The springs under your ear creak as Moon shifts, raising up the slightest bit. His head clicks as it rotates, the sound mixing with the white noise of the box fan sitting in your window. That's one of your clues that this is just a Warning and not a Watch, otherwise Moon would have turned the fan off before climbing on top of you so he could hear better.
(If this was a true emergency the animatronic wouldn't have even bothered with that much. You'd have woken up to being bundled in your blanket and unceremoniously dumped into the bathtub, your tiny bathroom having been chosen as the most defensible location in the apartment.)
You can't hear anything, and that doesn't surprise you, either. The Daycare Attendant's hearing is much, much better than your own. Sometimes you worried about them a little, if the noise in and around the apartment complex was too much for them, but the only time you'd voiced that worry Sun had been quick to assure you that it was nothing compared to how loud the Daycare could get. That just made you concerned for different reasons, ones that he'd chased away with a quick topic change.
The seconds tick by, counted by your beating heart and breathing, the soft clicks and whirs of the machine crouched over you protectively. You wonder what set him off this time. Maybe it was two-thirty and it was the couple who always came home with drive-thru tacos and a tired argument, slamming the doors on their worn gold Camry. Maybe it was five, and he'd heard the knocking engine of the navy blue (or maybe black?) truck that belonged to the guy a street over, the one that Moon only ever said was 'unsafe' but refused to elaborate on. With your limbs trapped you can't grab your phone to check the time.
You'll ask Sun about this in the morning, over a breakfast of cereal and an energy shot (because you were out of bagels, you'd had the last ones two days ago and grocery day was tomorrow). There's no guarantee that he’d answer, and you haven't yet figured out if it was because he didn't always know what Moon did at night or if it was because he liked keeping secrets.
Well, that was fine. If there was something important he'd tell you-- you knew that much because he'd promised. They both had.
More creaks and movement, and you only realize you'd been drifting off when you jerk back awake. Whatever it was must have moved on because so is Moon, the animatronic slowly shifting his weight so that you're no longer trapped under him. As soon as you have room you scootch forward, both to give him enough space to settle behind you without toppling off of your full-sized mattress (full-sized for who, exactly?) and to get some fresh air on your overheating limbs.
The creaks stop. Your phone rests on the nightstand but you ignore it, the uncertainty about the time a lot less pressing now that the moment has passed. Instead you flop over to your other side with all the grace of a landed fish, staring into a dinnerplate face with a too wide grin and faintly glowing eyes. His expression is fixed in place and only half visible in the darkness, yet it never fails to make you grin back.
"All clear?"
Moon's head click-clicks and he nods, the bell on the end of his hat ringing softly. "All clear~" he confirms, in that mocking sing-song way of his.
"Good." You yawn, something that draws a staticky crackle from him. "Thanks, bud. You gonna stay in here?"
It's phrased as a question, but really it's a request, even if the bed is laughably small for a person plus a lanky robot. Moon hums softly, considering, and to sweeten the deal you let your eyes close. You know its worked when you feel the edge of the blanket be pulled up higher over your shoulder, tucking you in. "Yes."
"Good. Goodnight, Moon."
The barest brush of something against your forehead, gently chiming bells. "Nighty night~."

Why 2012 Raph's development is realistic and more human like
I wanted to talk about this about 2012 Raph. When you look more into Raph's character and why it's one of the best character developments ever and a realistic one. And I'ma just get to the point... ANGER can NOT all of a sudden disappear. Anger, by definition, is a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility. Something we have seen a lot with Raph. He is the hot-head of the team. Raph has been shown thru out the series to be easily annoyed by his brothers and that is mainly because he is always teased and picked on by them, mainly Mikey who always messes with him. And Raph's response is always to hit or yell at them. Something I myself have done several times because I ab taken by rage that my first reaction is to yell at someone and even become aggressive. That is what Raph is feeling. He doesn't think twice because he is over taken by anger and usually a person will not think twice when they get angry or upset. Remember the episode called ''Riddle of the Ancient Aeons''? Raph immediately goes into a fit of rage in one scene when Leo says he has always been jealous of him and Raph yells that Leo has always been Splinter's favorite and his first reaction was to attack Leo. But then after Leo hugs him, he feels guilty and horrible. That wasn't the only time he has felt guilty for hurting someone as well. Raph clearly does not want to hurt anyone at all but because he isn't able to think twice because of his anger, he ends up doing something terrible and people will often point their fingers at the one who is angry and see them as the bad guy. Raph represents how people will usually first react when they are angry or in rage or even just annoyed by someone. Which I have done even myself before. And the fact that Raph doesn't immediately learn his lesson or immediately feel guilty or horrible about himself is also really nice. Mainly because well,... People who are angry have a harder time and take a lot of time to realize how much they have messed up and end up regretting their actions. And they eventually start to blame themselves for acting that way and even feel ashamed for feeling angry. And Raph clearly has tried to control his anger and it could have been because he felt ashamed and felt like he would be at fault for hurting one of his brothers. Now let's actually get to why Raph's development is realistic that of a person who deals with anger and that is that well- Anger isn't something that can all of a sudden disappear. It's a human emotion. Something that will always be apart of someone. Raph can't make his anger disappear, but he can learn to control it. However though, he is shown to struggle with holding in that anger and will often throw an emotional tantrum and or outburst. There will always come a time where something annoys you so much to the point you just give into the anger. Which is the same case with Raph. The point of Raph's development isn't him trying to stop being angry but to learn to control his emotions and anger is one of them. He wants to control his emotions and when you really think about it, he is the most emotional out of all of them. Raph wants to control his emotions so he doesn't hurt his family and friends. He wants to become a better person because he doesn't wanna hurt his loved ones. I already said this and I will repeat it once more, Raph CAN'T make his anger disappear and will always stick with him because anger is an emotion nobody can escape or make it disappear from them. But Raph can indeed learn to control them. In conclusion: Raph having his development be restarted in many episodes is so understandable and realistic. Raph has shown to thru out the entire series want to control his anger and not let it get the better of him. By the end of the series he was finally able to control it and learn from it fully.

I wish more people understood that Sega / Sonic Team carefully scrutinizes and approves every single issue of the IDW comics before they get printed and release, down to characters' facial expressions.
This isn't like the wild west of the 90s where people like Penders were allowed to do whatever they wanted. Scripts and storyboards are sent to Sega for approval multiple times for every issue. And the IDW team has to make the requested changes before it can print. One example that has been specifically mentioned was when Amy hugged Sonic in the "Chao Races and Badnik Bases" arc. Evan originally drew a little blush on Sonic's cheeks. Sega said "no" because Sonic doesn't show that much vulnerable emotion, and so Evan had to revise the panel to remove the blush. The oversight is that finite. Absolutely NOTHING gets put in the IDW comics that is against Sega or Sonic Team's ideas for their characters and brands. Like it or hate it, but that's simple fact.
So when you hear, "Sega wants to bring the comics and games (and potentially the shows) under the same canon umbrella" — yeah, it makes sense! Because while Sonic Team might not be crafting the comics themselves, they ARE overseeing their creation and are approving every story beat and facial expression contained within. They know exactly what is happening in the comics, are actively working to keep them in line with the current vision for the Sonic brand, etc. If they're working to keep them in line with their current vision for the games anyway, why NOT tie them all together? Especially when the comics have helped bring a new generation of kids to the franchise (similarly to how the movies did) while also being compliant with the games (unlike the movies). It just makes sense.
I understand that people who are perhaps more used to stories about what the Archie comics were like in the 90s might have reservations. But for good or for ill, the IDW comics are a completely different beast, despite having a lot of the same crew. I'm not saying Sega are overbearing evil overlords who don't let the IDW team have any fun (personally I think it's clear the team has a lot of fun working on the comics), because hell, they let a zombie pandemic arc happen. But I am saying that nothing that happens in the comics happens without Sega's express approval, right down to whether Sonic is allowed to blush when Amy hugs him or not. You still don't have to like the comics, everyone has different tastes and that's cool. But just know that the comics are Sega-approved panel by panel, so if you have an issue, take it up with them. Ultimately, they're the ones who get final say.

Living my best Teenage Life at 25: 2023 Hyperfixations ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
Are they really “hyperfixations” or am I just winning at my hobbies?
Tumblr media
My diagnosis last December changed nothing but my awareness of my experience tbh. So much good came into my life from unabashedly engaging in my interests thriving online community and totally new creative outlets being the biggest ones!
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the Legendborn Cycle Books, Spider-Verse Movies, and Percy Jackson TV Series all have Black characters that I deeply relate to.
The things I was inspired to create this year—deeply immersive narrative playlists, character analysis and theories, cosplay, fanwork challenges—all came from seeing my personal experience in brave, smart, rebellious characters.
I am Bree Matthews, I am Hobie Brown, and I am Annabeth Chase. Their stories all resonated with me so much that I’m inspired to do things I’d never done before, and I’ve had the good fortune to see the ripple effect it has on my community, online and offline.
Art doesn’t have A Reason™️ but if it did…I think that’s it. I’m excited for what new things will find me in 2024, and the new parts of me I’ll discover along the way 😊

Not people now trying to claim Jamie is "the son of Keeley and Roy" just because he leaned heavily on them during a period of emotional vulnerability. Are they forgetting that Keeley and Jamie have dated in the past?
Also we have just witnessed a whole season of Jamie looking after both Roy and Keeley, when they were struggling.
- Jamie helping Roy to distract himself in Amsterdam when he felt down, teaching him how to ride a bike.
- Jamie going to Keeley during her lowest point to take accountability and generally be there for her.
Honestly their relationship works so well because it is build on mutual support and understanding which it has been building up to for 3 seasons.

Flash Was Killed Because It Was Objectively Dangerous
I get it, I get the Flash nostalgia and the fondness for old Flash games. I was big on Neopets before they decided to ruin the art and make all the pets samey paper dolls to play dressup with (completely ruining the point of the far more expensive "redraw" colors like Mutant and Faerie and Desert). I have fond memories of Newgrounds games and I even managed to take a class for a semester in high school where I could learn flash.
But I also remember how terrible it was. And you should too.
Leaving aside all of the issues involving performance and inaccessibility (such as being easily broken by bog-standard browser actions like the back button, and its ability to modify web code AND OS code in real time likely broke a lot of accessibility tech too), Flash was legitimately one of the most dangerous web technologies for the end user. An end-user is you, or more specifically back then, child-you.
According to Wikipedia and its sources, Flash Player has over a thousand vulnerabilities known and listed and over 800 of these lead to arbitrary code execution.
What is arbitrary code execution? That's when someone can just run any commands they want on a machine or program that didn't intend it. A fun way to see this is in this infamous Pokemon tool-assisted speedrun where they manage to get an SNES to show the host's twitch chat in real time. It's not so fun though when it's someone stealing all the files on your computer, grabbing your credentials so they could clean out your Neopets account (yes, really, it was a pretty common concern at the time), and other nefarious works. Also, there was a time where it allowed people to spy on you with your webcam and microphone.
Oh and on top of all of this, Flash had its own "flash cookies", which could not be cleared by ordinary means and thus could be used to track users indefinitely, at least until Adobe slapped a bandaid over it by introducing yet another screen an ordinary person wouldn't know to use. (I assume this is how the infamous neopets "cookie grabbers" worked, so they could get into your account. This is mainly what I remember about using Flash back in the early 2000s lol) So it not only was a "stranger taking over your machine" concern, but a bog-standard privacy concern too, arguably a precursor to our current panopticon internet landscape, where greedy websites would track you because they could and maybe get some money out of it, facilitated by this technology.
When Apple decided to block it, it wasn't out of greed; Steve Jobs cited its abysmal performance and security record, among other issues such as an inherent lack of touchscreen support, and Apple cited specific vulnerability use-cases when blocking specific versions before they nuked it entirely. When Mozilla, who makes Firefox, decided to block it, it's not like they would've gotten money out of doing so, or by offering an alternative; they did so because it is fucking dangerous.
Your ire and nostalgia is misplaced. Flash was not killed by our current shitty web practices that ruin unique spaces and fun games. Flash was killed because both Macromedia (its original developers) and Adobe were incapable of making it safe, if that was even possible, and it was killed after third-parties, in an unprecedented gesture, collectively threw their hands up and said enough.
Well, that and HTML5 being developed and becoming more widespread, being able to do everything Flash can do without being a pox on technology. One could argue that you should bemoan the lack of Flash-to-HTML5 conversion efforts, but that requires asking a lot of effort of people who would have to do that shit for free...and if they have to run Flash to do so, opening themselves up to some of the nastiest exploits on the internet.
Nostalgia is a fucking liar. The games themselves I think are worth having nostalgia over (look, I still find myself pining for that one bullet hell Neopets made and Hannah and the Pirate Caves), but Flash itself deserves none of that, and absolutely deserved to be put in the fucking ground. You're blaming the wrong causes. It was terrible.
(specifics and sources found via its wikipedia page, which has a lot more than is mentioned here. and also my own opinions and experiences back then. lol)

Ok ok ok but what if po3 was in denial? Like he refuses to believe hes that bad? Like he wants to believe that he has better reasons and he wouldn't go as far as they would? I feel like he would deny it even to himself for a good long while. I think he would only reach that point when pushed and hed have a nervous breakdown over it. Yknow like how some survivors will sometimes become the thing they hate/fear but dont want to acknowledge what they've become by making up excuses?
Okay. This concept is starting to leave "Ha ha funny Yandere robot" territory and that's a little uncozy for me personally. Like I'm still here and I will continue to engage you in thoughtful discussion but like. Anon you should make this post on your own blog instead of sending it to me.
Anyway yeah Yandere P03 who slowly isolates you and takes away your choice the same way the other Scrybes had done to him would absolutely give himself a mountain of excuses as to why he's doing it that makes it different from why they did it.
He's protecting you from them. He's giving you the game you wanted. He's just keeping you safe and entertaining you and doing everything he knows you want before you even have to ask.
I think the only think that'd trigger a breakdown is if you, the object of his affection, the one he's building all these excuses around, called him out on it. Compared his actions to the other scrybes, denied wanting any of this.
But you wouldn't do that.
You love him.
You'd never be so cruel
Look at all he's done for you.
You'd never imply he's the same as them.
You love him.
