Text
Can't stop thinking about how the miraculous literally gives Adrien his freedom. It's not just the liberation of being anonymous. He is literally freed from his father's control when he's transformed because even the other miraculouses don't recognize the holders when transformed.
Examples:
Passion when Safari can no longer find Ladybug and Chat Noir after they detransform and swap miraculouses
Emotion when Argos can't bring Marinette back because he Thanos snapped her away when she was transformed and the peacock miraculous doesn't recognize that Ladybug is Marinette
Pretension when Matagi Gozen loses the trail every time anyone transforms and has to track their transformed and detransformed scents separately
Meaning that when Adrien is transformed as Chat Noir, the amok ring theoretically wouldn't recognize him. Being Chat Noir is the only time Adrien is ever truly free.
We see the results of this even early on back in season 1 with Adrien being unable to leave his room after being given a direct order to stay there until he transforms. His rational is "Adrien is grounded, but Chat Noir isn't" really showing the way he rationalizes the mental blocks he has against defying his father when faced with a direct order. And he's right. Adrien is grounded, but Chat Noir isn't. Adrien is capable of being controlled by his amok, but Chat Noir isn't. Because the magic hides identities even from other miraculous holders and miraculous magic.

So, here's a thing about Marinette.
She is a kind, rather cultured person, agrees to a lot of things, but also knows when to stand her ground and say no. The averagest of average protagonist models you can write with the exception of her obsessive personality trait. About Derision later, but she might possibly be one of the blandest characters I've seen in popular media
While watching Demon Slayer's finale yesterday, I realized something. Marinette is very much like Tanjiro. She can be both kind and badass when needed, be humble and be confident whenever the writers need her to be. Marinette is like Tanjiro -- written to be liked. She wasn't written to be unique or stand out from the crowd nor was she ever supposed to make a breakthrough in how to write a compelling protagonist to root for. She is a vessel. An empty vessel to watch in the background, because once you start analyzing her, it's over for your sanity
But why is she so hated then... She's so kind, so extremely helpful. A person everyone can get along with (famous people count too I suppose), but she also has her own frustrations like deal with brats who apparently targetted her as their victim for no apparent reason!! She has struggl-- It's nothing new. Look at it a little closer, go in depth and tell me that she has a consistent personality. She's more of a big pile of clay that the writers will model and shape according to their mood and how they want a certain storyline to end. Even Chat Noir has more consistent personality than her despite being neglected by both his own father and the writers. I guess more isn't always the merrier.
Is it actually hard to give YOUR PROTAGONIST a DAMN CONFLICT?! HER ONLY CONFLICT IS WHETHER SAYING "HI" TO ADRIEN WILL RUIN THEIR FUTURE TOGETHER. GIVE HER FLAWS GIVE HER CONSEQUENCES MAKE HER LEARN THE LESSON THE HARD WAY
Actually, I take it back. There is one conflict. Well, "conflict" or rather a turning moment for her is when she loses all miraculouses, which is followed by a nasty panic attack. That's it. That's all I could think of from the top of my head.
Tumblr media
The only thing that really makes her stand out is her obssessive nature towards Adrien and we got some insight on why in the season 5 episode Derision and you know what I have to say about that? Fucking BULLSHIT. In a very short summary, Marinette crushed on Kim, but he humiliated her whilst working with Chloe. After that event, she decided she will only confess to someone when she knows them through and through. Putting aside the fact that we only then found out that Marinette had a friend that wasn't Alya, It's actually a total asspull in terms of Kim's behavior. Why would Marinette be friendly to Kim in Dark Cupid when he did something like THAT to her? Why is he potrayed as a funny, a little misguided himbo in the friend group - did nobody actually know about what's happened? I mean obviously they had to so why is everyone pretending like everything is fine? Why is SHE pretending everything is fine? Did she forget?! The answer is no, because Derision was not planned from the beginning. Thomas heard that his beloved protagonist isn't liked and went back to the drawing board to cook up some fake depth to her. Despite what I said, I'd actually love to see an episode like that, maybe Chloe IS the bitch we're lead to believe she is and I could've accepted it as a valid explanation to both Marinette behavior and her cruel, unchanging nature....
IF IT WAS IN SEASON ONE OR TWO
Putting a lore piece like that in the final season of the story is actually fucking ridiculous. Do you really expect me to care NOW?! When we're like 15 episodes from the FINALE OF THE SHOW? Na-ah, absolutely fucking not
Everytime I see a post praising Derision for how well written it is my stomach does a fucking cartwheel this is not an exaggeration
Tumblr media
Marinette is like Zoe except Marinette is actually an asshole sometimes. It would be good If she was! I want to see an asshole protagonist where I'll have to see them change before I start rooting for them, but Marinette is neither changing, evolving or facing consequences. Using a miraculous for her personal gain and lashing out as Ladybug on Lila? it was a good fucking moment. I found it uncomfortable and embarassing to watch AND THAT'S A GOOD THING. IT HAD LONG LASTING CONSEQUENCES in form of Lila being a menance in return. Then again, I can't exactly praise Lila because she's equally as stupid- sorry, everyone's brains and common sense seem to evaporate when they're in Lila's closest proximity, but that's where they're similar. Everyone seems to lose their awareness when Marinette does her puppy eyes to break into a house too.
She is genuinely getting harder to watch and don't even get me started on season 5 because I've seen the leaks alright

Tiger!Juleka 🤝 Black Cat!Holder
I headcanon that Juleka and Adrien are besties due to their cat miraculouses (miraculi ?) in the canon show, only because i think that they would actually get on but also coz cat and cat yk, they're practically family, like Chat Noir said, they're siblings !!
but in my au, Adrien doesn't have the black cat anymore, he's got the dog, and Marinette has the black cat which is even better!!
they're already part of the same friend group, and they have history together from previous years, so why wouldn't they be like this 🤞
Luka is jealous that Marinette would pick Juleka over him but he's not all too sad because then he gets Adrien all to himself
ORRR !!! Adrien and Marinette are constantly visiting Luka and Juleka as Superheroes just coz they can (like how Chat Noir would always visit Marinette) and they don't even plan it together, they just end up at the boat at the same time or one of them would already be there then the other one will just show up
and Luka would hate it if he didn't care sm about his partners, so he just allows it and let them use his house as a chill space
Juleka does hate it tho, at first anyways, but then they both grow on her and she starts caring for them herself and when she gets the Tiger Miraculous (idk which one of them I want giving it to her yet) she starts caring even more, especially Kitty Noire - coz yk, thats her kitten now
so then Juleka and Kitty are like this 🤞 and Luka isn't even mad abt that one coz he gets Adrian/Flairmidable all to himself and he's content with that
(Kitty also platonically flirts with Juleka, just coz she can, Juleka doesn’t mind and sometimes plays along)

Alright, so I've been off the internet for a few days because I was reading a fanfic (unsurprisingly), and it's a popular Boboiboy x Boku No Hero Academia fanfic (Elemental Hero), and it's so good but I'm so sad that it's still a WIP and it's been a year since it had a new chapter.
Anyway, I'm not that sad about it (kidding, I'm depressed), but I can't help but think of other crossovers for Boboiboy after reading it.
Obviously, I've thought about a crossover between BBB and RC9GN. It's an interesting concept actually, and it works well in my head. But recently, I've been thinking of a different series other than RC9GN that would be a cool x-over for BBB.
Miraculous Ladybug
Listen, I already said before that I don't really like MLB (I used to be a fan, but ehh-), but that's because of how it is written. It is so poorly executed that I just gave up on it, I like to look at the fandom's works more than the canon series at this point. I like the concept and potential the story that Miraculous has, and I think it's being wasted on.
That is one of the reasons why I love imagining a crossover between BBB and MLB. Like, seriously, I know that BBB is a pretty obscure show, and isn't as well-known as MLB, but I really thought there'd be more crossovers of them??? Wouldn't it be an awesome idea for Marinette, Adrien, and co. to enter the BBB universe? Or even the Kokotiam gang to enter the MLB universe? With plenty of villains on both universes, there'd be plenty of writing potential for these two shows together.
Personally, since I'm in the BBB fandom atm, I've been daydreaming thinking of a story where it's the Koko gang that somehow ends up in the MLB universe (thanks to the many amounts of crossover fics and that Elemental Hero fic I've read, I've thought of a way how they got there + it's easier to think of how they got there than how MLB characters would in the BBB universe). They have to find out how to get back to their world, while trying to fit in in Paris so they don't attract too much attention. The latter obviously fails when villains appear and, like the heroes they are, tries to save the day, but they bump into the local heroes of this world: Ladybug and Chat Noir (with additional other heroes depending on the timeline of MLB). Weird shenanigans ensues and the gang escapes from being questioned by the two heroes.
Now, Ladybug and Chat Noir are on the hunt to find the 5 weird people who had powers (just like them, but somehow more different), the gang tries to find someone who can help them find a way back home, and ofc, Hawkmoth (or Shadowmoth or Monarch, idk when this takes place in MLB honestly) takes a liking to these weird, new comers and tries to take advantage of them. And a new (or old?) threat appears from Boboiboy's world (somehow, idk) and tries to form an alliance with Gabriel so that they can both get what they want.
How will the Kokotiam Gang get home? What will Marinette and Adrien do to find those weird people with powers? Once they find them, what then? Will Gabriel be able to get the Miraculouses now that he has a bigger threat? Who would the mysterious villain from BBB's universe be? And will Marinette still be pining over Adrien like in the original series?
That last question, if I were to write this, then I wouldn't do that. I seriously hate writing romance, and Marinette pining over Adrien in almost every episode is boring. So, romance wouldn't be the main focus of the story.
But for the rest of those questions? Honestly, idk. I don't have the motivation to make this into an actual story. I still plan on writing RC9GN: Ninja Watchception once I get the motivation to write again.
Though, it is nice to dream.

I'm confident someone else is also complaining about this right now or already mentioned this, but the possible change in the Miraculous Ladybug Season 5 ending from the leaked version...just swapped one set of issues with another. While "Gabriel sacrificing his life so that he may be with Emilie in death" would be an improvement from the "Gabriel sacrificing himself so Emilie would live" ending in the leaks, a switch like that also comes with its own issues. Aside from the fact that this makes Adrien an orphan (hasn't he suffered enough?), there's an obvious problem with having Amelie assuming guardianship over Adrien.
This means Felix is moving to Paris.
Having Felix stay in Paris is a terrible idea, because the character works by having sporadic appearances and not being accessible. He is written as "smarter" than the other characters and has possession of one of the most over-powered Miraculouses in the show. How is there going to be any credible threat to Paris now that he's clearly one of the permanent heroes?
Plus, the show has made a big deal about how dangerous it is for a person to know both Ladybug and Cat Noir's identities. Luka had to leave town because of it, and it's unclear how much mini-Bunnyx knows. Felix and Kagami learning Ladybug's identity means they can't learn the latter in the near future. How is this going to work with Felix living with Adrien, or even Felix being in proximity with Adrien? Felix isn't as oblivious as Gabriel or Nathalie. He's going to know both identities within two seconds of staying in town (assuming he already hasn't figured it out).
I know, the counter is that if Felix is part of the hero crew and knows or figures out his cousin's secret, he would be a much more effective confidante and cover for Adrien than anyone else in the class. But even if you somehow nerf Argos (say, make him unable to create another sentimonster by making him semi-permanently using another one, like if by some horrible twist of fate, Kagami or Adrien's feathers were released from their objects and Argos had to "recreate" one of them...or he had to create a Sentibug of his own if Marinette somehow could no longer become Ladybug) I can't see him being around as a full-time hero and there being any challenges.
Then again, I couldn't see how Gabriel could lose with having all those Miraculouses and he definitely did.

Submitted Prompt: A wish for Solitude
This is the accessible version of this prompt.
The special-text version can be found here.
- - -
Hi Rjalker, I'm kinda back! So after who knows how long since I wrote my prompt about Serrah, and the show's ending of the fifth season being a dumpster fire like always (actually, even worse than usual, I seriously miss the finales like the ones of the first and second seasons), I decided to write this because... something. I myself aren't sure, but I guess I will just write something different than cosmic entities trying to fix the universe (or doom it because their existence requires the universe's own oblivion) because I'm not planning to rewrite the entire plot of this idiotic show.
I will be honest and say that this is a completely new territory for me, so if you spot mistakes and see something that needs to be changed, please do so.
So, have fun?
Occurs after Strikeback (season 4 finale).
My try at an Akumanette prompt.
Pronouns: lon/lones/lones/loneself (same as she/her/hers/herself)
TW: mention of sexual harassment, and a character experiencing touch revulsion
-----
It was so hard.
It was so hard for her.
Marinette thought as time kept moving too fast, yet it felt like everything was crawling to a halt.
Everything was becoming too hard, too difficult, too unbearable.
It was so painful, dealing with it. Being Marinette. Being Ladybug. Being the Guardian.
"Marinette, how did you forget to go to our planned party?"
Because Ladybug's job is too important than Marinette.
"Marinette, is there something bothering you? I heard you've been skipping classes."
Forgive me mama, papa, I can't schedule for when an Akuma strikes. That's the sacrifice I must make.
"Marinette, cheer up! We will defeat Hawkmoth in the end!"
Yes, Tikki, in the end. And what about my life?
"Marinette, I know that Chloe is a bit too much but..."
I know, Ms. Bustier, I must forgive her, for I am Marinette and I am nice, forgiving, no matter how many times I and others get hurt by her.
"Meowch Bugaboo! You know that you always have me!"
Leave me alone. Don't call me by that. Don't come closer to me. Don't flirt with me. Don't touch me. Don't try to kiss me. Leave. Me. Alone!
"You still are in denial about Adrien, Marinette?"
I didn't want this, Alya. Your question isn't funny. I don't love this. I don't want these feelings. I hate them. I despise them. They were why I lost the other kwamies. Love only hurt me.
"You must be responsible, Marinette!"
It's difficult to be responsible. It hurts to be responsible. I don't like this. It's so painful. So suffocating. So tiring. So dark. So cruel. I don't want more even if I have to take more. I want to be alone. I want to be left alone. Alone. Only alone. No one to nag on me about something. No one to have me deal with their problems. No one to guilt trip me and shame me for not doing what they want.
I want to be alone, with only myself being the only company I need.
"Hello, Solitude. I am Hawkmoth. I will give you the power to be alone, free from responsibility, at the price of giving me the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculouses."
It was so wrong to accept. She knew it. It would be admitting defeat, admitting that evil had won in a way. But why bother? She was so tired. So exhausted of fighting, fighting when everything she tried to do backfired on her.
What's the worst to happen if the accepted? Surely, Alya and that harasser Chat Noir can deal with it. They seemed to never run into real problems or face truly permanant consequences.
Oh how jealous she was.
"Yes, Hawkmoth."
And Marinette ceased to be. ---- When lon opened lones eyes, Solitude felt it, the desire burning from lones being.
"I want to be alone. I don't want anyone else with me."
That was it. Simple, yet clear. To be alone on lones own. Lon only wanted to be alone with loneself. No one to bother lones with anything.
No responsibility, no demands, nothing but simple, and sweet solitude.
Yet it just wasn't so easy.
"What is this?" lones expression looked repulsed.
Something was wrong, something was feeling off.
Solitude's body felt something uncomfortable, disgusting, hateful.
Something that just felt like something was touching lones body. Something that just refused to leave lones alone.
What is this? Lones body feels heavy. Breathing and moving feels difficult.
Nothing was touching Solitude, yet the feeling only grew stronger, the repulsion and hate for this thing that was seemingly crawling all over lones, seemingly invading lones blood and skin only continued.
Solitude hated this. It felt so wrong, so awful, so utterly-
"Marinette!"
A voice screamed as lon saw... a girl closing towards lones. Rose? That was her name, right?
Immediately, lon jumped away, as if burned by her presence, almost screaming and attacking her and the others that came alongside her.
How dare they come so close? How dare they call lones Marinette? How dare they try to touch lones?
"Leave me alone!"
Solitude ignored their pleas to come, to wait for Ladybug to help her, to fix her, to heal her.
There's nothing to heal or fix. Nothing wrong with Solitude. Solitude isn't Marinette. There's no need for Ladybug to heal lones.
The awful feeling seemed to diminish, it wasn't as bad as before. So this sensation of pure disgust relates to lones presence with others? Or when others enter lones comfort zone without permission?
Solitude felt that this was the correct answer.
Then, Solitude might go to a place far away. ---- Lon was on the top of the Eiffel tower for nearly half an hour now.
It was a calm area, and there was no one around lones from what Solitude can feel.
Yet...
The sensation of something surrounding lones body still persisted.
Solitude couldn't comprehend it. Nor did lon like it one bit.
What's going on? Why doesn't this feeling leave lones alone?
Lon could feel it, something was seemingly demanding for lones to do something. Something that Solitude doesn't want to do, and it is getting almost physically painful to deal with.
What is this? Why is this happening? Solitude wanted to be alone. Is that really so much? What is causing this? Who? Why?
Lon would like it if they stop continuously touching and crawling all over lones bod-
"Hello, mademoiselle!"
A voice that feels extremely, horribly familiar resounds, and Solitude feels all sensations go overdrive.
Chat Noir was so close-
So close, too close, that repulsive smirk, that leering look, that uncaring posture, too dirty, too repulsive, too hateful.
Lon hates it. Hates him. Hates that person. He will touch me, he will ignore my boundaries, he will torment me, will not leave me alone.
For just a moment, Marinette's memories resurfaced, and nothing but pure rage and hatred consumed lon vision.
A blast of pure, unbridled energy of repulsion and exclusion consumed the part of the Eiffel tower they were in, practically erasing it from existence, and that hero harasser being thrown away, far away so he couldn't violate lones boundaries anymore.
Solitude's body shook from the sheer disgust lon felt, lones mind already making possible connections to why lon felt so much worse with that guy around.
"Is it because Marinette suffered the most due to him?" Solitude thought in rage.
Is that why? It made sense, right?
But before lon could fully calm down, the sensation returned once more.
Why? Why? Why don't they leave lones alone!?
"Good job, Solitude! You've lured Chat Noir! Now go and take away his miraculous and Ladybug's!"
Lones heart raced with pure rage as Solitude felt the connection linking lones with Hawkmoth.
It's this guy...
Lones eyes seemed to look somewhere, what Solitude felt to be Hawkmoth's direction.
This guy was who was crawling over lones body using that link...
Hate and energy, already twisted due to the corrupted magic, twisted even further as it followed Solitude's desires.
If only he didn't exist... if only he and Chat Noir didn't exist...
Then Solitude would be already happy, alone with nothing bothering lones...
Solitude must destroy them first... And make sure not even a shadow of them remains...
---
End?
Or at least until I might write a sequel.
Hope you liked it.

Michelle!! Happy Birthday!! You said you loved asks so here is an anon ask as a present to you, I hope you have the nicest day with lots of love and cake <3
if you have the time would you talk about what you expect to happen in season 6 of MLB?? And what you WANT to happen??? What's your wishlist!! I know it's supersupersuper early and we have to wait forever but it's fun to speculate, isn't it hehe
I personally hope it'll be the most LadyNoir Season there ever was mostly because I'm still sad that season 5 only had a few crumbs after the first few episodes. And that with Strike Back being the perfect set up!! What the heckie!
omg tysm anon u cutie also YESSS for sure!!!!!!!!
honestly im not too sure what to expect in s6. i find that mlb is a show that is simultaneously predictable and completely unexpected all at the same time. but also its messy. and they like being subversive. but also they dont forget things. but also they take so long to address certain things sometimes that it makes u think they did forget?? (also sometimes they do just forget certain things)
like how they spent s4 driving a wedge between ladynoir and spreading the burden of world-saving up between all their friends and classmates only to cast all the other miraculouses away and make ladynoir need each other more than ever. and then in s5 they kick things off w ladynoir having this tragic love that twists into being so painful that they seek each other out as adrienette and dont even retrieve all the miraculous until the end of the season. and ladynoir gets their feelings just like suppressed and sidelined. but also adrienette meets trouble in their relationship via all the adult disapproval and meddling but by the end they seeeeemingly seem perfect and happy
i feel like the interesting (and fun for me) thing to do with that is to unravel the cracks in their current world. while it seems as though gabriel made a 'good' wish, the fact of the matter remains that wishes should never be made. our protagonists' lives would not be in this state if making a wish did not come with unforeseeable consequences!! i think s6 will show that not all is right with the beautiful world presented at the end of s5, and they've already teased some of that with lila and her acquisition of the butterfly miraculous. obviously, as the two characters that are tortured most by the narrative, adrichat and maribug will face so many consequences of gabriel's lies, notably maribug, because she's helping uphold these false pretenses, because only she knows the full truth
i truly believe that adrien and marinette getting a wonderful lovely fairytale kiss at the end of the season puts them in this light as a loving couple who will never break up. and ive seen speculation that fans think that they would 'never' do that because breaking up would mean that 'love square can never get together post-reveal' which is just. untrue. like they would get over that so easily. even if they revealed right after breaking up. they'd talk it through eventually and realize all the problems their secret identities caused them. also the whole point of this show is that their love is doomed because of said identity secrets soooooo
anyway people have also said adrien would never break up with marinette. i agree. i think she will be the one to do it. like she WOULD break up with him if she thought being with her was dangerous or bad for him or if she plain did not deserve him. she is very much prone to denying herself happiness despite constantly being in pursuit of it. and i think this will happen either mid s6 or at the end of s6
if it doesn't then well... come back and call me a dumbass. but its a 26 episode season and a lot happens in one season when it comes to this show
also i hope giving her classmates/friends all miraculouses backfires. i know in the future they have a full team but besides bunnix (and alya and nino) i feel like a lot of what consists the future team is up in the air. i feel like something regarding holders losing miraculouses or getting their identities compromised in a dangerous way is up in the cards! also, things will happen to the world that feel weird and they'll have to solve it. also, i believe its possible that it will be exposed that a wish was made and ladybug will have to suffer with the consequences of not admitting to the world that a wish was made and that she 'failed' (and chat noir will come to her side and defend her maybe hopefully)
anyway yes. as long as LADYNOIR COMES HOME! i am good and happy. i miss them so s o soosos o so much. again currently it looks like ladynoir has nothing which is why they would probably maybe make their relationship stronger again because it would be subversive. whether people see it coming or not is like. irrelevant i guess? praying we win in s6 anon

Submitted prompt: Multiverse of Magic
As with every superhero comic and universe, there are multiple universes for MLB, some more serious, some lighter, many with divergent timelines entirely. There's a Miraculous that lets someone jump between them, but it's only to be used in the event of a catastrophic emergency, which Hawkmoth gaining all the other Miraculous definitely qualifies as, so the second Marinette is aware of it, she uses it, intending to go to another universe to ask for help from her counterpart there.
One major detail changed because I hate manpain.
Imagine her surprise when she ends up in a universe where Adrien/Chat Noir is actually a good guy.
-
This Adrien was actually monitored and restricted by his father, (Unlike canon Adrien who's literally been able to sneak out at literally any time he wants to without consequences and can quit modeling without any fuss or problem at all lol) forced to stay inside, unable to sneak out. More than that, however, he was never spoiled, because this Gabriel didn't give his son frivolous things. He made Adrien study constantly to live up to that Golden Boy title and one day take over the Agreste brand, so this Adrien has turned out very differently. He's constantly serious, his voice is quiet and low but firm, his eyes are eternally taking in his surroundings rather than only lingering on Ladybug, and while he's still a pun-loving, smiling, optimistic guy as Chat Noir, he takes his responsibilities as a hero seriously. He has to - he's risking actual reprimand from his father to sneak out.
Though he doesn't want to talk about it, alternate universe Alya explains to Marinette that this universe's Ladybug and Chat Noir were able to defeat Hawkmoth, through Ladybug uniting the Cat and Ladybug Miraculous and using their combined power to undo all the damage Hawkmoth had wrought over the world when he'd gotten the other Miraculi. Now she's off on an adventure somewhere with Tikki and a few other kwami, searching for the other lost Miraculouses so their kwami can be found and rescued.
Adrien had to stay behind, to keep Paris safe, and though he'd longed to go with her, he knew his responsibility lay here, keeping the city safe. So this Adrien is first extremely overjoyed, then concerned about this Marinette, as in actually listening to her, wanting to help her, and being willing to plan with her how to fight Hawkmoth and win without her getting hurt in her own universe.
Unlike our universe's Adrien, he never flirted with her, because his life was so busy and he was only able to leave the house to fight Akumas that he knew he could never be a decent boyfriend, especially when no one would ever be allowed over to visit him. Unlike our Adrien, he isn't allowed to go to a public school, not even if Chloe's already enrolled there. At least, he hadn't been allowed to while his father was still alive. But now he's dead. And now she's off who knows where, doing who knows what, and every day he hopes she'll return so he can tell her all the things he's thought about since he last saw her.
Everything he's been doing since, modeling and making sure to keep the brand going over the summer break, is just because he doesn't have anything else to do - he feels lost without the first real friend he ever made, though now that he's befriended Alya and Nino, now that he can finally leave the house, he's started doing better. He's a sharp dresser, he's smart, he's his best self and yet he's still desperately missing his first partner and friend.
He treats Marinette from the show's universe with kindness. She crashes at his place while they plan out what to do next, where he talks to her and is actually worried if she's doing okay, something her Chat Noir would never ask, he asks her permission to hug her (because it's been a very long year since his father died and Ladybug went on her quest, and he just needs a hug), and he actually has interests outside of just video games.
As he opens up to her and gushes about how he found the Dragonfly Miraculous that lets people be invisible by studying the legends of King Arthur, she finds herself incredibly fond of him. When he lets her be vulnerable and cry about how exhausting her superhero duties are, he asks if she'd like a hug, and is surprised when she cries harder.
Her Adrien, she explains, her Chat Noir, is nothing like this.
"What's he like?" he asks, and she tells him. She tells him about the harassment, the touching, the kissing, the comments, the goofing around during battles, the unrelenting stream of talk, and she's just so tired of it, she hates having to deal with him. He always ignores whatever she wants or says and it makes her feel like dirt.
So alternate universe Adrien, when he's given permission to, holds her close and promises to make this right. She's his best friend, albeit from another life, and he won't let anyone hurt her like this ever again.
He goes back to her universe with her, with the temp heroes and their Miraculi and the Miraculi he's managed to find since the fall of Hawkmoth in his universe, to go defeat Hawkmoth and let Marinette live the normal life she deserves to live.
But first, he's going to find this universe's version of him, and they are going to have a talk about respect, boundaries, and what being a hero means. And if he snatches that ring right off original universe!Adrien's hand and decides to fight alongside Marinette in his stead, well, Marinette is fine with that. It'll be nice to feel like she has back-up, for once.
And if she's falling in love with this guy who's actually there for her, well, she's kind of fine with that, too.

In Emotion Argos slips away as Marinette is reuniting with Kagami and Adrien, she forgets about him entirely. In Pretension she goes after Felix again and wants to make him pay/teach him a lesson. Felix is unconcerned about Ladybug being a threat but Kagami convinces her to let Felix get away anyway. In Representation, Felix lures Ladybug to him and puts on his play where he makes himself the sympathetic protagonist; she doesn't even try to go after him. And he shows up post-Wish in the finale at the miracuclass party and then as Argos for the team group shot as Ladybug asserts that they're all united and unstoppable or whatever. The Wish fixed all the miraculouses so the fact that Felix is the reason they needed to be rescued and fixed isn't even mentioned.
Yeah this is user error and/or writer interference

D-DAY Chapter 5 | 6 Days Before
They had decided to meet up in Gotham Museum, since Marinette had never stepped foot in the place. Tim had a last minute errand to run, so she took the liberty to explore the place for a bit while waiting. She paused in front of a large square painting, a realistic piece showing a horde of townspeople crowded around a faceless figure.
She buried her hands into her jacket pockets and stared. The paint strokes were immaculate. Each direction led the flow of emotions in the representation of each person. An oil medium, it looked like. The warm colors sweeping around were drowning the villagers in either a sunset or the flames of hell.
Marinette sat down on the bench, absorbed in the painting.
"The Recreation," a woman next to her uttered. She wore a long-collared coat and a pair of reflective sunglasses. "Wouldn't it be nice to have the power to reform the world?"
"That would be playing god." Marinette never broke her gaze.
"But if you had the means to undo a tragedy, wouldn't you take the chance?"
"For such actions, there are always equivalent consequences." Her lip curled in distaste. "Erasing and rewriting reality isn't anyone's decision to make."
"Does that mean you will let Paris live with its scars for the rest of your life?" From the corner of Marinette's eye, she could see the woman smiling a little.
Says the one who kills without hesitation.
"It means that I know people would like to change the past." She lowered her tone. "But I also know people who don't. The events of Paris have caused misery and grief among the people but it has also strengthened their wills. I have no right to take that away from them."
"Besides . . ." Marinette continued, "Even at the hands of the League, I don't think the Miraculouses will be used for honorable intentions, Talia."
"We might," Talia taunted. "Don't you want those jewels to be taken off your hands once and for all? Wasn't the guardian duty thrust upon you at a young age?"
"That is true. I do want to get rid of the burden. I'm too young to handle my current responsibilities." Marinette's fingers tensed around her arm. "But I'm not incapable or stupid. I'm not letting the Miraculouses fall into the wrong hands."
"It's a shame. You don't doubt your decisions." Talia stood up, brushing down her coat. "I suppose I'll come see you another time."
She slipped into the bustling crowd, blending perfectly against the unsuspecting Gothamites. Marinette pressed a hand against her chest to calm her pounding heart. For a minute, she'd thought Talia would pull off a trick even at the risk of causing a commotion, but she didn't do anything but leave her with a few words.
You're wrong, she wanted to say. I do doubt my decisions. Everyday.
She had the power to reverse the disasters that had haunted her city for years. The power to bring back the life Adrien wanted for his family. The power to give herself a chance to live as an ordinary person, who didn't wake up in the middle of the night screaming or hid tears in front of other people.
She could readily offer herself as the sacrifice.
But what about the others? The Parisians who found meaning amidst the distress? The rest of the world that didn't know how much one city had suffered? Was that fair to them at all?
She felt her kwami's reassuring pats from the inside of her jacket. Marinette took a deep breath. Everything's over now, but at the same time, it's not. She was tired. Dead tired. But she couldn't stop fighting because that was all she ever knew in her life.
She looked at the painting again. 'The Recreation', huh? Her jaw clenched. Those people don't look too happy about that.
---
"Want a bite?" Tim pushed his slice of carrot cake towards her, eyes gleaming. "You've been staring at this for a while now."
Marinette's cheeks burned as she broke her staring contest with the cake. "No—no it's okay."
He laughed, handing her a fork. "Come on. You can have some."
She reluctantly accepted his offer, not wanting to admit that she barely had anything to eat that day. As she took pieces off the cake, she was careful not to take too much.
Marinette took a sip of her iced latte. "I should open your gift now."
He arched an eyebrow. "I thought you weren't opening it until we got home."
"I want to see it now."
The sound of ripping paper joined the loud calls of orders from the register, the whir of the frothing machine, and the murmurs of the other customers around them. The inside of the box had strips of paper for cushioning, enclosing a pink French press with a gilded top. Plum blossom patterns swirled on the glass body, with branches of other flowers.
She sucked in a breath. ". . . Tim, I love it!"
He stopped fidgeting. "Really? I, umm, I actually wasn't sure what to get you in return for that jacket you made me. Alfred helped a little."
Marinette took the gift out of the box to inspect it. "You didn't have to return that favor, you know."
"I know, but I wanted to."
She laced her fingers with his from across the table. "I'll make sure to use it all the time."
The smile that broke out on his face was contagious. Every time she was with him, she felt like she could temporarily forget about the world. Ignoring the sliver of guilt she felt, she wished that being with him was something she could always come back to.
"You spoil me." Marinette tucked the press back, placing the box carefully under the table.
"You deserve to be spoiled." Tim sipped on his drink. "You deserve so much more."
He looks sad. Or tired? Marinette noted. She could guess the hidden meaning. "That goes the same for you. You've been working so hard recently."
He shrugged. "WE's busier than usual. Nothing new."
She chuckled. "I'm close to kidnapping you away."
"Is it kidnapping if I'd willingly go with you?"
Damn.
She held herself back from closing the distance between them. She focused on the aroma of caffeine and spices around them, but all her other senses were overwhelmed by him and only him.
"Maybe not," she said weakly. "Where do you want to go?"
He answered automatically. "Paris. Your home." The feather-light touches of his fingers glided along the back of her hand. "Or a faraway island somewhere."
She snorted. "An empty island. How romantic."
Tim grinned toothily. "Only if you're with me."
She should be used to it already: trading bold comments with him with the occasional diabolical and outlandish plans they came up with. But she was still a victim of blushes. Of the skipping of her heartbeat.
"I can get us fake identities," he proposed, "Make our locations untraceable."
"Didn't know Mr. Drake-Wayne would lavishly spend his money like that," she teased.
Tim looked proud of himself. "I should let you know he does that on a regular basis."
Marinette ran her thumb on his palm. If only it were that easy. To drop everything right at this second and abandon all our priorities. It was tempting, really. He had the capability, she had the reasons. She wouldn't have to worry about carrying lives on her back, or look out for her enemies.
Strangely, freedom was the same thing she was offered earlier that day.
But freedom with Tim was much more appealing.
---
Tim stretched on the bed, waking up from the cold. With his bleary eyes, he saw Marinette sitting up and looking out the window of his room. He yawned and nudged her with his leg. "Mari? What's wrong?"
She looked back at him with a tired smile. "Sorry. I couldn't sleep again after I woke up."
He opened his arms to welcome her warmth. She crawled to his side as he wrapped the sheets around them. "Thinking?" he whispered before planting a kiss on her cheek.
She nuzzled his chest. "Yeah. Lots of things."
"Tell me about them."
"Future plans," she mumbled. Tim moved his hand to stroke her head. "My responsibilities."
"Mmm. I have those thoughts too."
Thoughts that were unlike hers. Heavy. Looming at the back of his mind.
He had begun to trust her with his life, but was he trustworthy enough to protect her? He desperately didn't want her to be involved with his family's secret job. He even thought she'd be better off not staying in Gotham. This city eats you up and spits you out as a different person.
She didn't need to be caught up in any trouble.
Marinette snuggled deeper into his hold. "Comfy."
"Only with you."
"Tim?"
"Yes . . .?"
She looked up at him, eyes a stark contrast against the night. "What if I'd have to leave someday?"
"I'll follow you," he assured. Slow strokes of his thumb traced her jawline, up to her cheek. "I'll still be right by your side."
"Won't you be sad?"
"I want you to do whatever you think you should," he said softly. It wasn't like he had the right to be the sole reason for her to stay. He couldn't hold her back like that. "And I'll keep in touch. Or go with you. No one can stop me."
She put her hand at the back of his head and pulled him in for a soft kiss. The brush of their lips deepened into a fervor and when they'd pull away for a brief second, they would find their way back to each other again.
The words sat unsaid at the tip of his tongue.
"Let's get some sleep now." She buried her face on his neck whilst wrapping his arm around her waist.
"Good night," he said softly.
"Good night, Tim."

Miraculous AI Adventures #1
I asked ChatGPT to write an episode where the miraculous characters vote for Trump. God forgive me for what I'm about to show. Title: "Miraculous: United We Stand"
INT. COLLÈGE FRANÇOIS DUPONT - CLASSROOM - DAY
Marinette, Adrien, Alya, Nino, and their classmates are gathered in their classroom for a special meeting. The atmosphere is tense, and everyone is buzzing with excitement.
MARINETTE: (standing at the front of the room) Hey, everyone! Thank you for coming to this important meeting. As you know, our city, Paris, has been facing many challenges lately, and we've all been wondering how we can make a difference.
ALYA: (nods) That's right, Marinette. It's time for us to take action.
NINO: And that's why we're here today. We've decided to vote for someone who we believe can bring positive change to our city.
ADRIEN: That's right. We've been researching and discussing our options, and we've come to a decision.
MARINETTE: (clears her throat) We believe that Donald Trump can be the person to help us overcome these challenges and make our city a better place.
The room falls silent, and everyone exchanges surprised glances.
ROSE: (stammering) Wait, Donald Trump? Are you serious?
MYLÈNE: (confused) But isn't he an American politician?
MARINETTE: (nods) Yes, he is. But we believe he has the experience and leadership qualities that can benefit our city.
ALYA: And he's known for being a strong advocate for change.
NINO: We've researched his policies and believe that they align with our goals.
ADRIEN: But remember, this is just our opinion. We encourage all of you to do your research and make your own decisions.
MARINETTE: That's right. Democracy is about having a choice, and we respect everyone's right to vote for the candidate they believe in.
The room erupts into a heated discussion as students share their thoughts and opinions on the unexpected choice of candidate. Some are supportive, while others express their concerns.
INT. HAWK MOTH'S LAIR - SAME TIME
Hawk Moth observes the commotion through his dark portal.
HAWK MOTH: (whispering) Interesting... They've chosen a candidate who has caused quite a stir in the past. Perhaps this could be the chaos I need to finally obtain their Miraculouses.
Hawk Moth smirks and prepares to send an akuma into the world.
EXT. COLLÈGE FRANÇOIS DUPONT - COURTYARD - DAY
As the debate continues inside the classroom, an akuma emerges from Hawk Moth's lair and begins causing havoc in the city. The group quickly notices the chaos outside.
MARINETTE: We can't let this akuma cause any more harm! It's time to transform!
Everyone rushes to transform into their Miraculous personas.
INT. COLLÈGE FRANÇOIS DUPONT - CLASSROOM - DAY
As the Miraculous heroes prepare to leave, Marinette addresses her classmates.
MARINETTE: (putting on her mask) Remember, we may have different opinions when it comes to politics, but we're still a team. Let's work together to save our city!
The Miraculous heroes leap into action, leaving the classroom behind as they head out to confront the akuma.
EXT. PARIS SKYLINE - DAY
The Miraculous heroes engage in a thrilling battle against the akuma, showcasing their teamwork and determination. With their combined powers, they manage to purify the akuma and save the day.
INT. COLLÈGE FRANÇOIS DUPONT - CLASSROOM - DAY
After the battle, the Miraculous heroes return to the classroom, their classmates applauding their efforts.
MARINETTE: (smiling) No matter our differences, when it comes to protecting our city, we stand united.
ALYA: And that's what makes us strong!
NINO: Let's not forget to cast our votes wisely in the upcoming election.
ADRIEN: Absolutely. Let's make sure our voices are heard.
The episode ends with the group reaffirming their commitment to their city and the importance of unity, even in the face of differing opinions.
FADE OUT
I'm sorry. @artzychic27 @msweebyness

Ok that Miraculous finale was.... a lot.... like a LOT... to take in. 🥴 (this is long & scrambled, my bad 🤪)
I liked Gabriel's battle w/ Bug Noir. And I think Gabriel stinging Mari at the last second was so shocking. 😭 Tikki & Plagg revealing their true forms and combining to that being was wow.... Giving his life for Emily & Natalie's was the only wise thing that Gabriel has ever done. I won't commend him for it tho, because he knew his time was done, and that there was nothing else he could do. Even tho he froze Mari and in this way "won", he knew that his wish all along was a false reality. Imagine if things had went his way just for Adrien to have been the price...
I wonder what the story of Emelie popping up completely healthy, and Natalie being healthy all of a sudden will be. 😵‍💫 Regardless, I can't be too upset at the idea of Adrien being in a great environment now with two people who'll value him, experiencing romance like the hopeless romantic he's always been, and having control over himself with the rings. 🌻
Gabriel getting a statue was gross to see and so was Adrien seemingly wishing to "be like his father" (not blaming him btw). But it's not unrealistic for a billionaire to have a statue & be remembered as a hero. That happens often irl despite their atrocities being known by literally everyone. 🙃 And the idea of "Gabriel helping Ladybug to defeat Monarch"... Maybe this is supposed to be taken figuratively, but ugh... I hope we don't see a huge theme of Adrien missing his father next season. 😮‍💨 Like yeah, that's his father who he never got to say goodbye to. But like... He put him in solitary confinement for not wanting to move from the only home he's ever known, plus force a relationship on him. 🥴 Arranged marriages between wealthy families isn't an uncommon thing, but ffs, they're just kids. Even w/o Marinette & Felix in the picture, Gabriel & Tomoe's obsession w/ having their children together - enough to put them in solitary confinement for escaping their controlled life - was truly predatory.
Adrien knows he's a senti-being now for sure tho... right? ?😭 I just feel like that's such an important part of himself that he should know by now. I mean, Kagami & Felix know, and now that "Lila" may know, that concerns me. 😥 Regardless, he deserves to know....
Speaking of Lila, idk how I feel about Lila being the new villain while knowing Mari's identity... Based on the ending, things seem a bit uncertain there too. Don't get me wrong - I fully enjoy her as a character and as an antagonist, and I want to know more of her background. How did she become so manipulative? Why is she so vengeful? So deceptive? Why is so unhappy, and thrives off of lying to random people over the smallest of things? We have at least two seasons left of this show, and I'd like to know so bad. 😭 She may only have the butterfly miraculous, but the amount of knowledge & history she has is abundant....
All the chosen heroes from before have their miraculouses, but will be full time heroes this time around. Now that Adrien will have a more stable home life + a true relationship w/ Marinette, life as Cat Noir won't be treated as the escape it's been prior. I mean, exploring his feelings for Mari, coming to terms w/ just being friends w/ Ladybug, and not having to model anymore somewhat changed that this season already. So I don't think we have to worry about a repeat of S4's Ladynoir distance happening at least. Them all being full-time holders and Adrien not feeling trapped nor abandoned in his civilian life should change that too.
Luka, Jagged Stone, and Penny being under the celestial guardian's wing wasn't something I was expecting 🤔 Idk how that came about, but it's definitely not bad for Luka at all as someone who knows both Cat Noir & Ladybug's identities still. Still kinda wish he had become more involved w/ the miraculous, but hey, at least the three will be back in Paris ig? 🎉
In conclusion, I have no idea what to expect for S6. 😭 I'm excited to see what Lila is like holding her own power w/ no strings. I'm excited to see Felix & Kagami's relationship bloom, to Adrienette bloom, and to see how our three senti children move while in control of their own lives (although Kagami might not be completely out the gate their w/ her mother around :/). Excited to see more interaction w/ the kwamis as most are free again. All but our baby Nooroo. Again. 😞
These are all just my initial thoughts directly after watching Re-Creation, before deep-diving into everyone else's opinions tho. 🤗 S5 may be my 3rd favorite season. Not the best, but not the worse. Just right in the middle. ✅️ The wait for S6 begins! 🎉

Different nonnie, I went through your After Wish AU tag after seeing that ask and it’s a really interesting premise ngl!! Would Emilie be alive and well in the new universe Adrien and Marinette created (going off of the concept image of what I’m guessing is her PV self standing with PV!Gabriel and the PV!Gorillas)? I always got the inkling that Emilie in-show, given the pre-story circumstantial evidence, isn’t nearly as sweet and innocent as we’re lead to believe by Adrien, especially since he would be a very biased narrator anyway, and it even seems that she and Nathalie were meant to be one character in the same way the twins seem to be what the Gorilla eventually came from, though being conceptual I naturally can’t say for sure. And on that note, are those four along with PV!Felix Adrien’s new family since they’re all designed similarly enough to really look related (the twins could maybe be his older cousins/Felix’s older brothers since they look more like young adults)? I saw that note you made about Gabriel still being Adrien’s father since the Wish works in some sort of karma as punishment for making it, so it would be very thematically fitting for Adrien to get the close, tight-knit family he so desperately craved in his past life only for them to also be cold, vindictive crime lords with the only other black sheep in the family (or I suppose white sheep since he’s ultimately a hero) being closed-off and distant in his own right.
Ok, so first off, I haven't thought about After Wish in a long time, so anything previous to it, you take with a pinch of salt as it's open to be changed, especially if I really get the au going. I also may combine it concept wise with Airy Fairy.
For what I remember, I don't think Adrien remembers that previous reality, so having a more cold family isn't going to hit him the same if he had his memories of that previous reality. But I'm not sure as I haven't thought of this set up in a long time.
I also can't remember what he wished for, but I remember Airy Fairy's wish: that his family never came in contact with miraculous. Might just keep that.
But on Emilie being secretly evil, that is up in the air as I just can't say for certain as canon won't really give me details. And when they do, it's questionable canon like Shanghai special. It's a similar issue I'm facing for the au of Marinette winding up with the Peafowl instead of the Agrestes.
Were they always villains and somehow knew about the miraculouses? Did they discover it by chance and then became evil? Is Gabriel's villainy just a response to Emilie's fate? If they never came across the Peafowl, would they even still get the Butterfly and book? Also, was the Peafowl broken before or after the Agrestes got it?
I need canon to give me some sort of answer to work off of (though realistically it'd probably be better to just answer them myself), so for an au like After Wish on whether Emilie is evil or not, I can't entirely answer. I don't have enough facts and honestly I haven't thought about this au in a long time and barely remember it.
Not a lot I can give you at this moment.

hey it's me back with MORE MIRACULOUS LADYBUG THOUGHTS but this one's shorter this time, season 5 spoilers
Okay so we get confirmation that Felix is a sentimonster and he somehow knows Kagami and Adrien are too. Putting aside the horrific implications of this - first of all, that you can create a sentimonster INSIDE OF ANOTHER PERSON - like why didn't Shadowmoth/Mayura just do that and kill Ladybug and Cat Noir in that case; also that this essentially means that Ladybug, Adrien, Felix, Nathalie, and Gabriel have literally murdered sentient beings.
Putting that aside, I see people pointing to stuff from way back in season 1 that's supposedly foreshadowing and the stuff they point out is pretty obviously confirmation bias - oh Adrien is allergic to feathers, even though there's no indication that any other sentimonster is also allergic to feathers! The girl who has a crush on Adrien and his own father both refer to him as perfect, that must mean he isn't a naturally created being! The only logical explanation!
The thing is that in season 1, Hawkmoth's apparent motivation for getting the ladybug and black cat miraculous is to *take over the world.* He doesn't indicate he needs them for a specific wish, he just makes normal "the same thing we do every night, try to take over the world!" declarations. And this is apparently the case in the original French as well. So how is there foreshadowing for a concept that Adrien is a sentimonster before the main villain has made any indication that he's anything other than just some power-hungry psycho?
Also the people pointing out all this season 1 foreshadowing, this is the same fandom that insisted during the gap between seasons 1 and 2 that Hawkmoth and Gabriel were in no way the same person and it was absurd to think they were the same person. Spoiler alert: they are the same person. There was more actual foreshadowing about that in season 1 than about the thing they totally didn't just write into the script in season 4.
Also I haven't seen enough people talking about the fact that Adrien quite literally murdered his own father??? I see people complaining that Ladybug making all of Paris think Gabriel was a hero for helping her defeat Monarch is bad, but like, if Adrien learns the whole truth of what happened he should logically put together that the Cataclysm he used on Monarch at the start of season 5 is what ultimately killed him. How just beyond devastating would it be for a 14/15 year old boy to lose his father, find out his father was a supervillain because he was trying to revive his mother, and then realize that he technically killed his own father? Major yikes.
Of course knowing the show it won't matter if he ever finds out anyway.
I just, like, man, I know this show is for like 12 year olds and all but I do enjoy it, I just wish I could discuss it with adults or at least with kids who have critical thinking skills and actually listen to the show??? It's so hard to discuss episodes when you have people asserting something that is the exact opposite of what was said on the show. For instance, in the episode "Reunion" Marinette can talk to a previous Ladybug miraculous holder. This holder, Joan of Arc, can't tell Marinette what happened after she renounced her miraculous, because the memory is only of when Joan had the miraculous - since she can talk to past HOLDERS she can't talk to the versions of the people when they were no longer holders. I thought they were very clear about that but there are still folks who are like "oh no if Marinette ever stops being a miraculous holder, she'll lose all her memory :(" even though we've seen literally over a dozen people stop being holders of various miraculouses, even more permanent holders like Gabriel and Adrien, and they didn't lose their memory. And then when Tikki and Plagg forced Marinette and Adrien to stop being holders, they didn't lose their memory. So why, even if you missed Tikki literally saying "the memory of Joan as a holder is only thememories she had while a holder, she can't remember something that happened after Joan no longer had the miraculous" would you think Marinette giving up being Ladybug would make her lose all her memories?? Her giving up being the GUARDIAN would, but not LADYBUG.
Like... sheesh. I'm not looking for adult fans to talk to for any reason other than wanting some more coherent discussions. But I don't talk to anyone anyway, so, oh well.
I swear I only meant this post to be like 4 sentences long.

Okay I GET that the pair bonding thing is being used by most of the fandom to reference the love square but I feel like S4 kind of just showed that Ladybug didn't really need Chat? That was the whole thing she was calling on other heroes and putting more trust in Alya and Chat didn't come across as an equal or a true partner...and not to make it about the sentitwins but. Felix is viscerally aware of his bond to Adrien and everything he has done has been for the both of them-something something "CN and LB repeating 'it's us against the world' is parallel to Felix's POV that it's TRULY him and Adrien against the world even if Adrien doesn't know it" idk
yeah it's like . i appreciate the love square on a casual basis where i don't particularly care for it in canon bc S4 fucked them over but if there's the occasional cute moment (like the hand-holding in risk) i'll smile at it . in theory adrien & marinette r meant to be a matching set - inverted color palettes, yin and yang, or the concept of good luck and bad luck which isn't used at all but remains implied with the animals their miraculouses take after! it's not wrong to see them as such and the aesthetic appeal stays despite canon's AWFUL take on soulmatism but obvi marinette doesn't stand a chance against felix because they're bound not by the forces of the universe but by LIFE itself . there's just no comparison as felix will take the exact opposite approach from what adrien would do - not out of disdain for him but a belief that the way HE's doing it is the correct one . absolutely normal about them

Breathe In, Breathe Out...
So I just looked at a Season 5 episode. All the spoilers follow so do not click unless you saw the latest episode.
Okay, the episode Passion was so good, it's scary. I'm not just happy with the overdue bits of lore and character work it did (especially with Emilie), but how it weaved both that and a memorable fight in its runtime.
Seriously, that action was more tense than I'd seen since perhaps Season 2.
It's also scary to me how many of its ideas were ideas that I had planned to use in my fanfic.
A "hunter" villain. (Mine was Nimrod.) A return of Mister Bug and Lady Noire because the villain specifically had a power that would require a Miraculous switch. (That was going to happen near the end of the Miraculous Ladybug/NFL Rush Zone crossover.)
A villain who Adrien knows and can only defeat when he's a superhero because of his knowledge as Adrien. (This was going to happen in Mitosis.)
It's like the writers were reading my mind.
The ONLY quibble I have with this episode (other than the villain looking like she stepped out of Tokyo Ghoul) is that somehow, again, Weredad wasn't even mentioned when it really would have merited a reminder that as far as Marinette knows, Cat Noir is explicitly not in love with Marinette and the last time she "confessed" to him, someone got akumatized. In fairness, though, it would have been a little hard to sneak a line like that when every line has meaning.
Plus, it's cool to find out that Venom actually can have a targeting function in an adult form wielder (which makes Queen Wasp/Miracle Queen's powers even more an extension of the Miraculous itself and not just something unique to a supervillain).
One thing that this episode cements, though, is Gabriel's end fate.
Gabriel is NOT permadying.
This episode made it explicit that Adrien needs his father and would not be happy without him. Thus if Gabe permadies, Adrien is going to be upset and not be part of the iconic duo. I know some people are hoping for a "villain arc" but Cat Noir is not going to go bad on a long-term basis. The point of the show is that he's needed as much as Ladybug.
Gabriel is getting a memory wipe. That's so obvious now, especially that Emilie has been confirmed to accept her impending demise (of course, the "Evil Emilie" theory is highly unlikely at this point). Without his memories of Emilie, he will have no reason to carry on his obsession.
He might temporarily die, but this isn't going to be the end of the 2002 Spider-Man movie. This show can get dark, but in the end, there is light. It's pretty much now flashing a neon sign for Gabriel to literally forget about Emilie and move on with Nathalie as well as to be a father to Adrien. Of course, that also allows an avenue for Hawk Moth to come back if he starts learning about the Miraculouses again.
Maetch, wherever you are, you called it! All credit goes to you presuming how this plays out.
