funfacts (instead of headcanons) for: samuele lamon (crystal cosmos - toon isles - toonified)

Funfact A: sammy had always been unable to see out of one eye and while that and the comments of those around him could have kept him from doing what he wanted, he continued composing music and when he properly met joey, he became ink drop's music director. it was one of the many things henry admired him for.

Funfact B: samuele's family is a long lineage of werewolves and while his parents look closer to wolves, he and his sister look more like domesticated canines. in a feral form, he looks a lot like a maremma sheepdog. he's not sure whether to be relieved he doesn't look threatening or mad at the fact he looks like an italian dog breed.

Funfact C: he has moments where he thinks about how he got where he was now and it makes him worry that he made people pity him. he hated making people feel like they had to feel bad for him when he's sure there were people who had it worse off than him. he usually considers his partial-blindness "not the worst thing to happen" which is his own internalized abelism that sometimes resurfaces.

Funfact D: because this is my universe which means everything i say is canon, have an extra funfact:

sammy and nolan have this kind of teasingly goofy kind of rivalry where they poke fun of each other-- without crossing abelist + racist boundaries, of course. sammy finds "pasta man" the funniest nickname he's been given. nolan's jokey nicknames have been why sammy can't take legit attempts to offend him seriously.

i guess this would mean calum would be the beast in this case...so i guess a beast who looks monstrous but is actually a timid sweetheart who is also intimidated by her attitude...except he has a library so he gives her access on the first day

mana develops a soft spot...and is probably actively looks for a way to break his curse

raphael

he keeps sneaking down into the kitchen to cook meals when he should be studying

mom is exasperated since he's supposed to be taking over the position of the kingdom's ruler since dad died.

if raphael could have it his way though, he would be traveling instead as a chef, not tying himself to the throne.

this royal prince is rumored to be guarded by fearsome beasts and poisonous plants after a betrayal from one of his closest confidantes.

they say that if you can get past all of them, you'll be rewarded with a great treasure...

okay so in actuality, he planted those plants and the beasts came on their own...they're actually quite nice if you're civil as well

spends most of his days sleeping, reading and taking care of the plants...some of them are carnivorous.

there's only one person who's gotten past these obstacles and that's the wandering chef who came in looking not for the treasure but for interesting ingredients. lam let him stay because he makes good food.

the closest analogy i can get is to snow white minus the biting into a poisoned apple.

a runaway prince in this version after he was cursed by the bonghwang...the history books say he perished in an uprising.

although there have been rumors...people whisper that there’s a boy with hair the color of gold who roams the land, goes where the wind goes...

a very competent ruler...although people may argue that he is not the legitimate heir as he is not the blood child of the previous king and queen

five years later in the kingdom where the conspirators are located, he’s having second thoughts about well, everything...not to mention there’s also a avoiding a certain someone ( *coughcough you know who you are* )

uses his position to take down the conspirators but also the corrupt officials in the system- still super paranoid though :/

lam doesn't strive to be a nice person. i would even say that he doesn't want to be nice; he wants to be decent, meaning that he wants to be able to do the kind thing because it is the right thing to, not because it please others.

in his eyes, being nice is akin to people pleasing. robin and his 'friends' liked him because he was nice and as a result of that, he got into that accident.

and so, being nice is the last thing he ever wants to be again.

extra tidbits for this verse that one should probably know:

his gaming career actually started with the har*vest moon ( now known as story of s*easons RIP :'D ) series and since he had grown some of these plants before, he would talk about what would actually go into taking care of them in RL...as a special, he would show his viewers what he's planting

when he grew his following a bit more though, he also started to introduce nin*tendo games into his content...in particular, it starts to be one of the bigger parts of his channel once he ends up in a group of four that plays weekly games of ma*rio party...

he'll never admit it but while he does need his calming games ( like har*vest moon and ani*mal crossing ), his favorites are actually the competitive games...ie. the games that 'ruin friendships ( ex. ma*rio party ) aka ones where he can as 'toxic' as he wants all in the name of winning the game

that's really where his channel starts growing; his fans do love the tranquil side of his channel, but the firecracker that bounces out when he's in competition is what really draws the people in- they think it's funny the contrast between the two sides

while he's not entirely upfront about the fact he's mentally ill and has a bad arm ( he doesn't like showing his face much either ), he does let his followers know upfront that there may be weeks where he can't post any playthroughs-

on those weeks, sometimes he'll post one of those 'study with me' streams, where it'll just be his set up slightly messy to soothing music- it emulates company in a way

he does do these kinds of videos on sundays too bc a lot of his followers are students and he knows how stressful school can be and if he can help his followers focus, then- he'll take care of his tutoring stuff while he's at it

if it's his arm hurting, he'll also just rope his roommate into playing the games instead- he likes to ask ray about the difference between cooking games and actual cooking

lamon: if it weren't for the fact that raphael's concoctions are more often than not demon spawn, he'd probably hate it. but in comparison to say burger milkshakes and squid pickled in kool-aid, pineapple on pizza is nothing. he'll take it.

as you might be able to tell, lam is quite...the crybaby although he's more likely to stress cry aka cry out of frustration when he can't properly express himself. comes with repressing his emotions for at least the first twenty-one years of his life :/

as for what can make him cry, surprising, it's never any of the super serious things that make him cry....like when he woke up from the accident and robin was sent to serve time, he didn't shed a single tear. he felt completely numb about it and may or may not have scolded himself over being an emotionless asshole too. that being said, when he dropped his pen involuntarily due to his arm acting up and he could no longer use it the way he used to, that's when the waterworks started...😭

okay so a lot of these flowers ( whose definition i’m getting off of google search results ) have a lot to do with renewal and modesty, but starting with liliac daisy, that’s a symbol for new beginnings but also fidelity, something that lam is VERY known for. white peony means bashfulness but also if you want to apologize and seek forgiveness, that’s the flower you send...violets mean modesty, but also honesty, wisdom, determination, and rembrance. white lilacs are for purity bc in a way, while he is jaded, he hasn’t given up on people yet.

and then the lettuce? well he’s a practical guy. literally give him a head of lettuce instead of roses, i guarantee you’ll make him very happy JFKSLDJFKL

and this is where i make the oddly personal statement that there is reason i relate to lam so much....anyways so basically one day i was like ‘what if i put all of my student anxieties and internal expectations into one person and then multiplied the pressure the feel by like three? yeah, that’s how lam was born jfsdklfjsk but that’s also back when i wrote him as a student...nowadays i like to think he’s growing and changing along with me as we transition out of school and into working life <3

What would your muse sacrifice to remove a memory that plagues them? If they'd opt to keep the memory, why? What's the memory that came to mind when asked?

2day i'm calling this....synnie's marathon ( @eternasci )

for the most part i'd say no as a number of my muses here have been shaped by the memories that plague them most and while the memories do hurt a number of them have come to process the memories to glean lessons and core beliefs from them. it's not an idea situation, but...well it is what it is.

that being said though! i'll go through my main muses:

mana: it would be the time she was forced to spend with mr dinh, but i don't think she would ask for the memory to be removed simply bc?? there's no point in having it erased at this point? it's not like it's going to change the effects it's had on her up to this point....better to be able to name it and know it by heart at least....

raphael: the mourning period after his dad's death; like mana, he wouldn't, but that's because it would be denying the fact that his dad is gone and that's not a healthy way of coping....that and it would be erasing a memory of his father and those, are going to be limited now.

lamon: see, he would be tempted to erase the aftermath of the car crash as the guilt that came afterwards was crippling and ultimately wasn't productive for him as he was forced to put his life on hold for like a year or two. still he wouldn't erase it, however, as he isn't sure if anything else would have helped him become more compassionate person with firmer boundaries.

yoojin: wouldn't need to make this wish since he forgets a lot of memories to begin with....he'd probably pick the times when the immortality weighs the heaviest for him, but again, time erodes at the impact of all memories so really, a wish wasted :)

patrick/myungdae: absolutely not. felicity is his beloved and even if her goodbye/death was painful, he would not give that up for the world...it's a memory of her and if there is one thing patrick does, it's that he hoards on memories, both good and bad, even if it is to his detrimental :'D

the exception here though, is annie because her memory of the h*stage incident really really really didn't have any meaning to it as the point was to inflict pain on the victims just because they could, there's nothing in her eyes ( and in mine too ) of value to learn from it...so she would ask for that period of time in her memory to be erased.
