Tony Was Wrong.
Ahhh my first request!
Request: I really like this make more pls maybe where Tony’s sister comes back after years and meets dr. strange and they warm up to each other and later confess
Pairing: Stark!Reader x Dr. Stephen Strange
Warning: Slight use of language (nothing to bad really)
Tumblr media
If there was one thing you absolutely hated about working for SHIELD, it was the fact that they loved to put you on undercover op missions.
This time you were tasked to go in, capture the bad guy, and get out. Simple really. “It will be quick,” they said; “In and out mission; a week tops,” they said...well, they were wrong. That conversation with Patchy took place two years ago.
Yep, that’s right...two years ago. “It will be quick,” my ass. Patchy will get a stern talking to about this.
At least you were done now. You did what every superhero does: caught the bad guy (who happened to be an old, bald Hydra dude) and saved the day. Woohoo! Time to go home to your annoying brother and the band of misfits.
Tumblr media
After a stern talking to with Patchy over what his idea of quick is, you finally made your way to the Tower.
Walking in through the doors like you own the place, you enter the elevator with one thing on your mind. Making an entrance. It had been two years after all.
The elevator doors opened, and with a flick of your hair you spoke, “I’m back sweeties, and, I’m taking autographs.”
Entrance was a success. But before you knew it, you were tackled to the ground, your back now on the floor.
“You backstabbing, two-faced bitch!” That was not the welcome home you were expecting.
Tony hugged you (much to the surprise of everyone) and whined, “You didn’t tell me you were coming home! I missed your annoying ass!”
You giggled, “Have you heard of something called a surprise?” He groaned.
“And I missed you too, you big dork.”
You both stood up and turned back to face the group. You pointed to the spot in front of you, “The line for autographs starts here.”
Everyone came running over, your quip about autographs seemingly forgotten. You don’t think you’ve ever received that many hugs in your life.
After squeezing the life out of you, you relocated to the very comfortable couches in the common room, and began to retell your very boring mission in an extremely dramatised way; much to the amusement of everyone.
“So, I know that this is a stupid question because I wasn’t here, but did anything exciting happen while I was gone?”
Everyone just shrugged. “We found this magician guy over on Bleecker St. Goes by Strange. He’s nothing special, not worth your time.”
Big brother mode activated. You’d forgotten how overprotective he was. No one was good enough for you according to Tony.
You frowned then grumbled, “You’ll never find someone worth my time.”
Tony just sighed, exhausted over starting this conversation again. You wiggled your way over to Natasha and put your head on her shoulder.
She just pushed her fingers through your hair and whispered, “You’ll find someone one day, Y/n.”
You sighed and began day-dreaming about one day. If only you knew how close one day would be.
Tumblr media
You had been back at the tower for a while at this point, and nothing exciting had happened...at all. No missions, no pranks, Clint and Tony hadn’t been idiots.
It was safe to say that you were extremely bored.
So you can only imagine your reaction when gold sparks just randomly popped up in the common area.
You quickly jumped up onto the coffee table and drew your gun, pointing it at the weird sparkles. “What is that?”
Tony just yawned, “It’s the magic man.”
“It’s Master of the Mystic Arts, douchebag.”
That was a new voice. It was deep, sultry, delicious...sexy. That voice could make you do things; very, very bad things.
“To what do we owe the pleasure, oh mighty one?” The man just rolled his eyes.
“The Sanctum was destroyed during a battle, and someone needs to stay in New York while it’s being fixed, hence why I’m here.”
Tony began walking out of the room, “Yeah, yeah, take whatever room you want.”
You rolled your eyes and huffed, “I apologise for my brother.”
The man jumped. “I did not know you were there.” You just laughed.
“The pros of being an undercover SHIELD agent.”
He smiled, “I’m assuming you’re the reasonable Stark sibling, then?”
You nodded your head, “Y/n Stark, the better Stark sibling, at your service.”
He laughed. A nice, smooth baritone laugh. Sweet baby Jesus that laugh sounded like angels singing at the gates of heaven. You’d be avidly trying to get him to laugh during his stay at the Tower, that’s for sure.
You were brought out of your thoughts by a yellow glove and his baritone voice. “I’m Stephen Strange.”
You shook his hand. This was going to be an interesting few weeks.
Tumblr media
Over the next few days, you kept running into Stephen around the Tower, and acting like a blubbering mess.
Like, there was this one time...
It was just your typical day at the Tower. Everyone was doing their own thing, and you were lounging on the couch, watching your favourite TV show, Sherlock.
If that man was real, you’d be all over him. Those sharp cheekbones that could probably cut through glass, his curly hair that seemed so fun to run your hands through-
“Am I seeing things or does that look like Strange?” Of course Tony would interrupt your ‘me’ time.
“I don’t see it.” You grumbled. All you wanted was to watch your favourite show in peace, without the commentary from your brother.
“Yo guys, come here for a minute!” And ‘me’ time over, thanks Tony.
Everyone was now seated on the couches around you, much to your disdain, and avidly staring at the screen. “Now does that look like the Bleecker Street magician or not?”
A round of “yes” and “that’s creepy” were heard. You groaned, “It doesn’t look like him!”
“Why doesn’t it?”
“For starters, Sherlock has curly hair, whereas Stephen has those two adorable grey streaks on either side-”
“So Strange’s streaks are adorable, huh?” Nat interrupted.
You blushed, “I didn’t mean to say that.”
“Well, that’s a first.” You had never spun that fast in your life.
“H-hi Stephen,” you squeaked. All he did was laugh.
Then, there was that time the cloak pushed you together.
It was late, probably around 1am, and you were trying to navigate your way around the Tower in the dark. What? You were considerate to those who were asleep.
Somehow you managed to stumble into the common area and walk straight into someone. However, just as you were about to hit the ground, someone (more like something) caught you, and pulled you back up.
“Thank you-” You stopped. You didn’t expect to see the face of the Sorcerer Supreme so up-close...and God help you he looked even more delicious in the moonlight.
“I really didn’t do anything, it was all the cloak.” You chuckled.
“Well then, thank you, Cloaky.” It seemed to preen under the praise and pulled you closer to Stephen.
“Umm...” Of course this would be the time you became awkward. Why wouldn’t you lose comprehension of the world around you when you’re squished next to the sexiest man alive?
A blush made it up your cheeks as you felt Stephen’s hot breath on your face. “I’m sorry, Y/n. He’s not normally like this.”
You smiled sheepishly, “T-that’s alright. No harm done.”
No matter how hard you both tried (even though you were slightly reluctant to do so), the cloak refused to budge.
“Looks like we’re stuck like this.” Your breath hitched.
“To the couch?” He suggested.
With a slight nod of your head, you both made your way (quite slowly) to the couch, and talked until you both fell asleep.
It was safe to say that the team found you wrapped in Stephen’s arms the next morning snuggled up together, with the cloak nowhere to be seen.
It was as if the universe was amused by you being a blubbering mess around him, and kept pushing you together because of it.
But you didn’t mind it really, it brought the two of you closer together...and it was safe to say that you now have a crush on the ex-neurosurgeon.
Not that you’d ever tell him that, of course. You’ve only known him for a few days. So all you could do was enjoy it while it lasts...
Tumblr media
Alas, Stephen’s time at the Tower was now coming to an end. The Sanctum had miraculously been fixed and he had to return to his duties, much to your chagrin, of course.
Opening a portal, he turned to the group of badass Avengers.
“Stark, thank you for letting me stay here.”
Stark nodded his head, “It was no problem.”
He turned to you and winked, “I’ll see you around.” And with that, he stepped through the portal, closing it behind him.
You were really going to miss him and his dreamy eyes.
Just as you were about to leave, you felt something appear in your hand.
Friday night, 7pm, Eleven Madison Park. I’ll be the one with the adorable grey streaks. ~ S.S
You smiled. Maybe someone was worth your time after-all.
Tony was just going to have to get used to the fact that he was wrong.
Tumblr media
My laptop decided to die and I hadn’t saved this yet...had to rewrite everything. :(
Probably not my best work, but oh well.

He listened to his friend about the dreams and nodded.  “I get it, trust me I do.  I spent seventy years asleep and what I don’t talk about is the whole time I was dreaming.  I was in war so you can imagine they weren’t the kinda dreams you wanna have for that long.” He swallowed hard at the thought of the nightmares that woke him every night and the dreams Natasha said she had, Bucky too.  They were all tainted in that way.  Even Kara who’s optimism was the glue that held them all together had been waking up screaming every night since Thanos.
Steve reached out and clasped his shoulder and squeezed.  “You know, I’m not supposed to say anything but you might wanna talk to your daughter, she’s been bad with nightmares since she watched that happen to you.  Just something I’ve noticed.  We all have nightmares that are terrible but I’m guessing whatever those stones did to you, it might be amplifying it.  You’re friends with Dr. Strange, right?  Maybe he knows something.”
When he got up, Steve sat up in his chair and rested his arms on his knees, eyes following Tony.  He laced his fingers together and smiled. “Well see, you’re right there where I hoped you’d be with this.  Kara’s rebuilding the compound, I accepted the position as Director of the new SHIELD.  What if you come on as a teacher at the compound.  Everyone is gonna want Stark Tech… and as the Avengers, you and Kara have always done that.  So keep doing that.  Don’t be Ironman, the Avenger.  What about being Tony the Avenger that stays back and keeps us all safe… same thing Bruce has decided to do.  Whatta you think?”
"I think that sounds like a good idea Steve and I'll try to talk to Stephen about the dreams that Kara is having. I don't want her having horrible nightmares because of the magic in those stones and we all know that she's weak against magic." Tony looks at Steve, tilting his head to the side and then cocks an eyebrow "Thanks for telling me, I'm always concerned about her like a father should be about his daughter, but she keeps things from me to make sure I don't worry too much about her." He smiles, tilting his head to the side "She's always been that way, fine until she isn't and then she comes and talks to me."
He comes back over to the table and puts a hand on his friend's shoulder "I had no idea that you had such a bad time of it when you were frozen, I would have thought that you wouldn't have dreamed at all." Tony then smiles slightly as he looks at him "I bet you're just like the rest of us still having nightmares about that time in your life and not knowing how to deal with them in a way that's healthy. I talk to Pepper, but I hate to throw all my shit on her plate you know when we have our Morgan but sometimes, I just need to get it out. You might think about going for professional help and maybe I'll go with you."
Tony then squeezes Steve's shoulder and nods his head "I can still provide tech and help out with teach the noobs sometimes sure but I have a family to take care of now so it won't be often that I can come into the compound, but I have a lab and I can do the tech around the clock if I need too." He smirks, getting a thoughtful look on his face "It'll be good to still be of use even in retirement you know what I mean? I mean giving over the mantle is something that I had been thinking about since I messed with those stones, but I never thought that I could do it really. That I couldn't feel like I would be done ever."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that you think about it, maybe you shouldn’t have skipped school today. Maybe then you wouldn’t be in this situation.
....On another planet. Watching Thor be forced to fight some old dudes “Champion”, whatever that means.
Let’s go back to the beginning.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nerves filled your body as you walked to school. You had an audition in the school play today and you were determined to get the part. Tony had offered to take you to school today but you decided to walk as it would give you extra time to learn your lines. As you pushed through the busy streets, occasionally bumping into a random pedestrian, you heard some girls whispering.
“Oh my god is that..”
“Yes! oh my go, he's so handsome”
“Ask him for a selfie”
“No you go ask hm”
At first you rolled your eyes, thinking it was just some youtuber or Tik tok star, you kept walking, eyes down re-reading your script. Then you heard the girls speak again.
“Thanks Thor, I’m sorry Jane dumped you.”
Hearing the name, your head swiveled up. You scanned the crowd looking for the blonde man, at first missing him as he wasn’t in his usual outfit of a cape and battle armour. But then you saw him, in a hoodie and some jeans. Picking up the pace, you jog toward the god not noticing the darker clothed man next to him.
“....it was a mutual dumping”
“I didn’t know the renaissance fair was in town” you say, a small smirk making its way on your face at the quip.
Both Thor and ...Loki?! Turn around in surprise at the sudden voice behind them. Only to see you looking up at them with a arched brow.
“Lady Y/n! How wonderful it is to see you” Thor boomed as he brought you into a bone crushing hug. Over his shoulder you could see Loki roll his eyes.
“Honestly, had I known this trip would consist of young woman flocking to you, I would have allowed your hammer to kill me.”
Thor ignored his brother as he put you down. “My how you’ve grown.”
You smile and say, “Well the last time you saw me I was twelve.” Then you eye Loki with distrust. “Um Thor, why’d you bring brother dearest back to New York?”
Loki looks at you with distaste, “ Who is this child, and why is she conversing with us?”
“Brother” Thor warns and then turns to you, “ Lady Y/n, we are searching for our father, it seems as if my brother” Thor harshly pats Loki on the shoulder, “ Has misplaced him.”
You look at Loki and then look at the building that has been demolished
, “ Woah, I didn’t know Gods put their parents in nursing homes” You say “ If you want we can go back to the Tower and try to track him down”
Thor smiles at the suggestion, “ A wonderful idea, tell me, how have my comrades been in my absence?”
You cringe at the thought of explaining the events of the so called “Civil war”. Then notice a ring of sparks forming around Loki.
“Uhh Thor” You say as you nod your head
“What’s this..wha.what are you doing?” He asks in alarm. Loki looks confused as the sparks get larger and more erratic.
“ This isn’t me” Loki says in confusion. Then suddenly the ground opens up beneath him and he falls through with an alarmed “Oh!” only leaving behind a business card. You and Thor look at each other, confusion written on both of your faces.
“Loki” Thor whispers as he nudges the card with his umbrella. You look at him with concern and think to yourself
“Does..does he think the cards Loki?”
You bend down to pick up the business card and read it out loud.
“177a Bleeker St” you look at Thor and ask,” Do you know anyone from there?”
“ No” He says, ‘ i don’t even know where that is.”
You sigh, looking down at your script and making a decision. “ Well, lets go find your brother.”
And with that, you turn around and start walking to your destination.
“Oh well, school can wait”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You and Thor find yourselves in front of two big black doors. You stand near Thor as he raises his hand to knock. Suddenly, before his hand is able to touch the door, you find yourselves inside the building.
“What the fuck?” you mutter to yourself as you look around.
“Thor Odinson” a deep voice says. You look up to see a floating figure in the shadows coming towards you both. Thor pushes you behind him as he holds him umbrella threateningly. If you weren’t in potential danger, you would have laughed at the sight. The figure floated into the light and you saw it was a man.
He was wearing a cloak and some weird robes with yellow gloves. He was relatively handsome, salt and pepper hair that was slicked back, high cheek bones and a goatee. He wasn’t horrible to look at. His deep, baritone voice was soothing.
“God of Thunder” He said looking at Thor. He glanced at the umbrella. “ You can put down the umbrella.” Then his gaze turned to you.
“Y/n Banner. I wasn’t expecting you here” He said eyes narrowing at you,” Shouldn’t you be in school?”
You chuckled nervously, “ Eh, how can I abandon a friend in need?”
The man smiles and looks back at Thor and suddenly your in a different room. Looking around in awe you hear Thor start talking.
“So..Earth has wizards now” He says, picking up a dagger from a display on a table, then dropping all of them trying to put them back. You try to hold back a laugh, feeling embarrassed for the god.
You might have failed though because Thor looked at you with an unimpressed glance. You giggle out loud this time, as you watch him struggle with the knives. Everytime he managed to put one back, another fell.
“The preferred term is Master of the Mystic arts...” Clank! another knife falls. The man looks very unimpressed, at your giggling and Thor's clumsiness.” You can leave that now.”
At those words Thor leaves the knifes, trying to regaine his cool, he leans against the table.
“Alright wizard, who are you and why should I care?”
“Thor! That’s rude!”
Ignoring you, their conversation continues,
“My name is Dr. Stephen Strange and I have some questions for you.”  He says as he eyes you and Thor. “Have a seat”
Within a second you’re in another room in the building...or least you think it is. The wind blows your hair back as you are suddenly dropped into a chair. You can see Thor look around startled and confused at the sudden setting change. You’re sure your face mirrored his as well.
“Tea?” Dr. Strange asks nonchalantly, a cup of tea appearing in your hands. You look at it in awe, not used to this level of magic, or magic at all. Thor on the other hand looked unimpressed with the cup.
“I don’t drink tea.” He says examining the cup that looked small in his hands.
“Well what do you drink?”
“Not tea.” Thor says shaking his head. You roll you eyes as you go for a sip of tea, but before you can a large pitcher of beer was in its place. You look up at the two men with a raised eyebrow.
“I hate to be a bother, but I do drink tea”
Strange looked at you in amusement as he returns the beer to tea.
“Jesus made water into wine, you make beer into tea. Interesting..” You say as you sip your tea. It was perfectly brewed of course. Dr. Strange smiled at the comparison
“Well its not exactly like that” Then he turned to Thor, “ So, I keep a watch list of individuals and beings from the realms that may be a threat to this world. Your adopted brother Loki is one of those beings.”
You scoff and roll your eyes and mutter, “Yeah no kidding.” Then you finish the last sips of tea, as you bring it down, the glass is already refilled
Thor looks up from his glass that he basically chugged,”Thats a worthy inclusion” His beer is refilled as well. He looks at it in astonishment.
“Then why bring him here?” Strange asks leaning forward.
“We’re looking for my father.”
“So..if I were to tell you where Odin was..all parties concerned would return to Asgard” He then looks at you, “ or upper Manhattan.”
“Promptly” “Try and keep me away from this place.”
“Great then I’ll help you...and get to that later”
You smirk at the doctor, knowing that it’s basically impossible to squash your curiosity once you get started. Then you realized something.
“Wait, if you knew where Odin is, why didn't you tell anyone?”
“Well he was very adamant he was not to be disturbed,” He turned to Thor, “Your father had chosen to remain in exile. Also you don’t have a phone.”
“Hmm, no I don’t have a..a phone but you could’ve sent an electronic letter. It’s called an email.”
“Thor you don’t have a computer.”
“What for?”
You lock eyes with Dr. Strange and share a look.
“Uh huh well, my father is no longer in exile, so if you can tell me where he is, the quicker I can take him home.” Thor then takes a sip of his beer.
“Okay, hes in Norway.” Suddenly your on your feet again standing an a library of some sort. You’re a bit unbalance and catch yourself on the self. Strange is muttering to himself as he looks through a book. Then again, you’re in another room with a shelf. Nearly falling over you cling onto Thor, but he’s in no better shape than you, beer spilling everywhere.
“Oh we don’t need that” Boom, in another room, this time you do fall and Thor breaks another shelf. He places the glass on a table, shaking the spilled beer of his person.
“Can you stop doing that?” He asked irritated
“Please” you add in, looking up from your place on the ground.
You’re on your feet in a blink of an eye, feeling dizzy at the continuous movement.
“Can I..I need a piece of your hair.” Strange says looking at Thor.
“Let me tell you something, my hair is not to be --OW”
You smile sweetly as you pass the yanked out hair to the Strange. “ Here you go Dr. Wizard.”  He makes a face at the nickname but takes the hair with a nod of thanks. Thor looks at you in betrayal.
“Don’t be such a drama queen” You say rolling your eyes.  You then walk away from the duo, examining books and artifact that were in the room. You were too caught up in looking at all the cool stuff you didn’t pay attention to the rest of the conversation. Suddenly you were in the front room again. You managed to stay on your feet as Thor tumbled down the stairs. You watched in amazement as Dr. Strange did some hand movements and created a shape in sparks.
“Could’ve just walked.” Thor muttered as he brushed the dust and wrinkles out off of his clothes.
“He’s waiting for you.” Then Dr. Strange turned to you,” Would you like to go home Ms. Banner?”
You looked at him with consideration,” Um Mister Strange, do you think you can help me find my dad?”
“I’ll see what I can do.” Then he turned to Thor,” Don’t forget your umbrella.
“Oh right.” Thor sticks his arm out like he’s summoning his hammer. You look at him confused. Then you here several bangs and crashes, as if something is being thrown around the rooms.
“ohhh thats where your hammer went”
Dr. Strange looks at Thor unimpressed again.
“Sssorry” The umbrella lands in his hands and he brushes the glass off the hammer.” I suppose I need my brother back”
“Oh right”
The a portal appears a few feet off the ground, in comes Loki screaming as he falls and hits the ground.
He flips his hair back as he catches his breath, “ I have been falling..FOR THIRTY MINUTES”
You snicker as you go to help the god of mischief up,” Come on reindeer games, lets get you up”
He doesn’t decline your help but he doesn’t thank you either. You turn to see Thor and Strange shake hands.
“Handle me?!” “Oh boy” “ Who are you?”
“Loki..”
“You think you’re a sorcerer? Don’t think for one minute--”
“Alright bye bye” The portal then is thrown to them as Loki charges with two daggers.
It’s silent in the room as you whislte,” Well he’s very catty.”
Strange laughs as he nods,” Come on kid lets find your dad.”
You’re then taken back to the library and you give him a piece of your hair.
“You have had quite the adventure today.” Dr. Strange says as he looks through the books again.
“Ehh, when you live with the Avengers stuff like this is an everyday thing.”
“I could imagine” He says smiling at you. “ Well..it seems like your father is off world”
“Off world?” You question,”why would he be...?”
“Your guess is as good as mine.” Then a bag appeared in front of you.
“I have a feeling you won’t stop searching until you find your father.” He nods to the bag. “ Everything you need to survive in Sakkarr is in there, I trust you know how to use knives?”
“Yeah, Bucky taught me.”
“Perfect, now you must try to get on the grandmasters good side, that’ll give you the resources you need to find your father. Don’t get caught by scavenger or scrapper , you’ll either get eaten or sold into slavery.”
“Slavery?” you ask with an eyebrow raised.
“Sakkarr is known to be the ‘dump’ of the universe. It’s filled with people you must be weary of. The main entertainment are these gladiator type fights the Grandmaster puts on.” He thinks for a bit the conjures up a portal. He pulls a amulet out of it then hands it to you. “If you find your father, or need a quick escape, rub this amule three times t and I’ll make a portal for you to come back home”
You nod, nervous to go on your personal mission. You look up at Dr.strange and hug him. “ Thanks Dr.Wizard.”
He pats your back uncomfortably,” It’s Stephen.”
You let go of him and smile,”Well, beam me up Scotty”
He rolls his eyes and creates a portal, you take a deep breath and look at him. He sends you a reassuring smile and you’re filled with determination. Then you step through.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You step through it to see...the steps to some weird looking palace. You look around to see an even weirder looking city. It looks like its built out of scraps of metal or parts. You walk up the steps and into the palace. You look around, astonished at the amount of people??
Beings. So many different kinds of aliens. All different colors and shapes. It was like a Star Wars movie. Then you see a familiar face.
“Loki??”
He looks up at you in confusion, you speed towards him, happy to see a familiar face. Even if it is Thor's evil brother.
“Ah Thor's child friend. This doesn’t seem like your type of setting.”
“I’m looking for my father, Stephen says he’s here.”
He scoffs, looking around the room. “It seems everyone is looking for their fathers.”
“What are you doing here? I thought you were in Norway with Thor and your dad”
“Well it seems that father dearest has been hiding a secret daughter. Who appeared after my father died. And is destined to destroy Asgard.”
“Well shit” you blurt out. “Are..are you okay?”
Loki looks at you like you’re a puzzle.
“What.”
“Well..” you start nervously, “it sounds like a traumatic experience, so..are you okay?”
He’s quiet for a few minutes, just staring at you. Suddenly he turns around. “We must see the grandmaster. He’s the only one who can guarantee your protection, and I’m sure you would prefer not to be slaughtered brutally in the competition.”
He walks ahead of you, and you stare after him wondering what just happened. Then after he noticed you’re not following him he turns and says
“Well, come on. I haven’t got all day.”
“Oh right.” You catch up to him and walk by his side. Looking around in wonder.
“Why are you looking around like that?” Loki asks as he makes his way through a crowd of...pink women. They had their hair in very intricate styles and weird metallic unitards. They eyed you as you passed by them.
“I feel like I’m in a Star Wars movie.” You pass by a man, he looked almost reptilian. He had pale yellow skin with green slits as his eyes. He looks like he was gambling or something.
“I don’t know what that is. Why would stars commence in battle? It makes no sense.” Loki scoffs as he turns to look at you. You laugh at his misunderstanding.
“I just..never seen..” you trail off not knowing how to explain. Luckily, Loki seems to get what you were says.
“ I can see this is a bit of a change for you. But..you have seen people from other planets before.”
“ yeah..it’s just a lot to take in.” You smile at Loki, “ I’ll be fine, don’t worry. I can freak out about it after I meet the Grandmaster.”
He nods his head and starts walking again, but this time he’s closer to you. Finally, you reach a large room. It’s filled with guards all wearing different colored armor. They part as Loki walks through them, confident with long strides. You follow him, shrinking under their gaze. Loki leans down to whisper to you
“ when you meet the grandmaster, do not be too meak . And do not mention anything about your father till I tell you. Actually, just follow my lead.”
You look up at him and before you say anything, a large woman appears in the room. She looks normal to you. Stocky, a stern face with white markings. A slicked back bun. She’s wearing yellow armor with black accents. She’s holding a large staff with an orb attached to the end.
“ Didn’t the Grandmaster just see you” she says to Loki, glaring at him. Loki smiles charmingly and says
“Oh yes, but it appears that I have found a...friend.. of mine. She, like I, has arrived here on Sakkarr by accident and is hoping to meet with the Grandmaster.”
Then Loki nudges you in front of him, and into the view of the woman. She looks at you with distaste.
“ Poor child is skin and bones. She’s puny.”
You look in offense, but before you can say anything Loki spoke for you.
“Yes, and that’s why I have decided to take her under my wing.”
“ Can she not speak for herself? You expect the Grandmaster to—“ “ Easy Topaz”
“Loki! How wonderful to see you again, even though it’s been about twenty minutes”
A voice cut through the air. Suddenly everyone in the room stood up straight. Topaz immediately stopped talking and turned. A man came in on a floating throne. He was wearing red, blue, and gold robes. He had a blue line down his chin and blue under eye liner. He...he looked like..
“Jeff Goldblum?”
Loki looked at you like you were insane and the Grandmaster and Topaz just looked confused.
“What did she call me?” He whispered to Topaz, she looked at him in equal bafflement. She then tries to hand him the staff.
“ Why are you handing me the melty stick?! She had a slip of a tounge! That’s not a capital offense”
“What is wrong with you?” “I’m sorry! It just slipped out!” “ Do you want to die” “To be fair, that was the biggest compliment I could have given him. Jeff Goldblum is basically a god of cinema.”
Topaz looked at the Grandmaster, “ apparently this..Jeff.. is a god from her world.”
“Hm, child.”
You and Loki stop your whisper arugument and turn to the Grandmaster.
“Come forward.”
You look at Loki in fear and step up to the floating throne.
“Hm” The man says as he examines you. You suddenly feel self conscious about what you’re wearing. A Jurassic park shirt (ironically) with a turtleneck under, some plaid pants and converse. To be fair you weren’t expecting to end up on a different planet.
“I don’t know what Jurassic park is, but look there’s a big lizard on her shirt” he says to Topaz, “ you like lizards?” He asks you. Your eyes widened at the question not expecting it.
“Oh I think I’ve embarrassed her, it’s okay if you like them. I don’t personally like them, they’re all scales and fast and blegh” the Grandmaster rambles then Topaz chimes in
“ and they can grow back limbs”
“Yes! That’s disgusting”
“ I’m sorry, it’s not a lizard, it’s a dinosaur ” you explain. “ it’s from a movie, it has Jeff Goldblum...”
You trail off as they stare at you.
“ Go on, you keep mentioning this Jeff Goldblum, I’d like to hear more about him.”
So there you were, explaining all the different movies Jeff Goldblum was in. From the Fly to Jurassic Park. Everyone seemed...intrested. The Grandmaster somehow got it in his head that you were this great storyteller. So now you were on his good side, just like Loki.
“ Storyteller, I welcome you to Sakkarr! I have never met a child with such interesting stories!” He turns to Topaz, “ Aren’t they entertaining?! So adventurous!”
“ I think they’re weird.” “ Oh don’t be such a buzzkill”
“ I thank you Grandmaster, for being so gracious with my...ward” Loki says, “I assure you that I will keep her out of trouble.”
“ Yes yes, now go, if she is going to stay here, she’ll need to fit in. Topaz, see if you can find a tailor for the child, she’ll need a change of clothes. You as well Loki”
She nods and gestures for you both to follow her. As you walk through the futuristic castle, you are completely in awe. Even though you live with Tony, this is a different kind of technology. Topaz gives you both a tour. She mentions the fights and the arena, but you don’t pay too much attention. Finally you make it to the tailor. After being fussed over and much debating, you finally come to an agreement.
You end up with a sort of body armor. With a black catsuit made out of a leather like material, there were pieces of armor covering your legs, hips, torso, shoulders and arms. Blue fabric was wrapped around your waist, draping down the front and under the armor there. There was also fabric wrapped around your upper arm and shoulders preventing the straps from rubbing against your skin. Finally, to top it all off, a long blue cape drape down your shoulders. You felt awesome. You took the daggers Stephen gave you out of the bag and attached them to your hips. And the amulet around your neck.
“What do you think?” You asked Loki. He looked at you for a bit.
“Your daggers should be attached to your thighs, that way the hilts are at your fingertips and not your shoulders.” He squints for a bit, “ that cape looks ridiculous.”
“Fuck off man I look awesome.”
Loki just laughs and goes to put his outfit on. “ Such foul language for a child.” Then he comes out fully dressed. With a yellow cape.
“ oh? My cape was ridiculous?”
“Hush.”
You smile, and a silence falls between you both. You sigh and look down, playing with the end of your cape. Loki looks at you, examines your face, then looks away.
“ Why...why did you ask if I was alright?” He questions, “when you first saw me..?”
You looked at him your face scrunched in a puzzled expression, “ because.”
“Because what?” Loki asks, not understanding where your coming from.
“ I don’t know, because like I said, something that traumatic must’ve been shitty. I know I wouldn’t be okay.”
“I do not understand you. Why care about someone you never met? Nevertheless someone like me?”
“Someone like you?” Now you were really confused. What does he mean by that?
“No midgardian would trust me. Especially after...” He stops, hinting about the attack of New York. “ I am not... not a good person. Nor a good influence. Not for a child.”
“That’s bullshit.”
Your words seem to startle him.
“I beg your pardon?”
“ That’s. Bullshit.” You stand to face him.
“Loki, I’ve known you for about six hours. And in that time, you managed to help me gain favor of a ruler, enough for him to give me a room to stay in and new clothes. You also helped me when you could’ve just left me alone. From what I’ve seen, you’re pretty chill.”
“Chill?” He asks quirking an eyebrow.
“A good person.”
He stops and looks at you, “ you think I’m a good person? Even though I nearly destroyed your planet?”
“ Sure. We all make mistakes.”
He stares at you for a while. Smiles briefly and then gets up from where he was leaning.
“ You, my dear, are one odd child.” He walks out of the room. “Come along, I must get you to your room. It’s late and I am certain you e had a long day.”
You follow him to your room, turns out someone was paying attention to the tour. He leads you to your temporary room, shows you how to open the door and lock it, then makes sure your settled.
“Well, it’s time for me to retire. Good night child.”
When he doesn’t get a response he turns around, he sees you’ve fallen asleep on the bed. He chuckles at the sound of you muttering in your sleep.
“ An odd child indeed.”
Then he covers you, turns out the lights and shuts the door. Leaving you to go to his room.
( he promptly freaks out over how quickly he’s grown fond of you.)

Stephen Strange could play around with an apple and make it rot and go back to fresh and unbitten. They tryna tell me he couldn't have done the same glowy time-turning thing for Tony Stark as he was dying of his injuries? Enough so he could be saved? Also the whole team hand-holding thing in Guardians Of The Galaxy, why didn't they try that? People give me the excuse that Quill was a half-god at the time and I'm like ??? Thor is a God! On the Avengers team they also had The Hulk, not one but two fecken super soldiers, A mighty powerful Spider-Man, Dr. Strange and his magic buddies, The Scarlet witch, and mutherfucken Captain Marvel?! They couldn't have done the same thing to save Tony? To stand together in that epic battle against Thanos and his homies? Why were the rUsSos so willing to kill RDJ off, he was like one of the best things in the entire MCU. They could have thought something up to save him if they wanted to. Also I'm PMS:ing hard and I just get so upset sometimes with how they let go of Tony in such a way. Sorry, I just had to vent! ^_^
I think you’re completely right. I even had a seven paragraph rant typed out explaining why; I backspaced it all since it was long winded, but it all lead up to the conclusion that Tony died and sacrificed everything for nothing—for people who didn’t deserve or appreciate it. Not because he had to die, but because they wanted him dead. I went over a few key moments in the MCU where his unfair treatment is revealed, but here are two main ones:
In the beginning, he was originally rejected from the Avengers, and proceeded to save everybody in the battle of NY. Then, Steve Rogers still had his name go first on the memorial placard even though he barely did anything.
And in the end, they cut the scene on the endgame battlefield where every single hero took a knee to honour Tony. (I guess we should be grateful he got a funeral since Natasha got fuck all too. Easy to see who the writers’ favourites are.)
All that to show that he’s disrespected by writers and therefore the other characters themselves. Nothing he did was ever good enough for anybody, and he was consistently written off as an irredeemable douche. They gave him his happy ending and took it away. 😃 (although I would argue over whether an ending with Pepper was ideal since she mostly complained and rejected his identity for their entire relationship—again, a writer issue bc they tend to make women discontent nags. But still.)
I don’t know. It’s just depressing really. Tony didn’t have to die and he shouldn’t have. I mean…he’s iconic and a badass, so him dying while making the ultimate sacrifice and then getting a statue and documentary etc. is an excellent fuck-you to his doubters/enemies. But of course, it’s not as effective as it should be because people STILL talk about shit his pre-IM1 character, and Beck and his minions came for the barf glasses in FFH because they couldn’t let him rest. (Not to mention Toomes in Homecoming was anti Tony too as if he caused the Battle of NY—they even make Spider-Man villains be villains of Tony they hate him so much.) (even the Iron Man trilogy villains aren’t bad people Tony decided to stop himself, they were specifically people who HATED TONY. Stane and Hammer out of jealousy etc., Vanko for something Howard did to his dad, and Killian bc Tony was mean to him once.)
And that’s all just canon bullshit. Don’t get me started on the MCU fandom. I once saw a tik tok where someone criticized the new Captain America bc his intro on the football field with the marching band was too similar to Iron Man and his cheerleaders in IM2, meanwhile Steve Rogers used to have dancers and a play while he toured the front lines??? Like out of all the reasons this fool could’ve criticized John Walker, he chose to compare his MARCHING BAND INTRO to Tony’s Expo cheerleaders. Like what a fucking reach!!! (Meanwhile golden boy Steve can do whatever he wants and still be worthy of mjolnir) That’s how much people hate him lmao. Our king should’ve just snapped Peter back and let everyone else rot.
OOPS I turned it into a long answer again. Hahahaha. Anyways. Fuck anyone who isn’t Tony Stark. That’s my point.

Your friends look troubled. MJ leans forward. “What do you mean, ‘something bad’? What did you see?” You can’t seem to do anything to stop the panic from pounding through your veins. You shake your head frantically. “I don’t know-I don’t know. I looked everywhere, and it seemed like it was coming from the basement, and I went down, and then I saw-”
Peter cups your face in his hands, finally allowing you to calm down. “Breathe, Y/N. It’s alright. Start from the beginning.” You hold on to him for a heartbeat or two, then speak once more. “I felt like something bad was coming from the basement, so I went down there. When I went through the door, it’s like I was seeing something that no human was ever meant to see.”
“The room was broken, almost destroyed. Everything was being slowly drawn towards this, this thing in the center of the room. The ceiling was black with smoke and the floor was broken in channels leading to the middle of the room. There, the ground had completely fallen away except for one place in the very center. It was like there was this pit with a single space remaining intact in the middle, which was drenched in blood. It was dripping off of the sides into this empty space beneath the school. There were runes drawn on the ground around the pit, too. Peter, I think they were drawn in blood.”
Your breathing is slowly returning back to normal, and you are able to stand on your own once more. Your friends look horrified. “You saw all that in the basement?” MJ asks, and you nod. Next to you, Ned furrows his brows. “You’re sure that’s what was there?” You nod fervently. “Positive.” Ned glances from you to his phone screen. “That’s weird, because according to the security cameras, there’s nothing there.”
He holds up his phone, which is displaying the live footage from all of the rooms around the school. Sure enough, the basement is empty and looks perfectly normal. You step closer, unable to understand what you’re seeing. “That’s impossible. I’m sure it’s there.” Peter puts an arm around you supportively. “We believe you, Y/N. Maybe it was something that could only be seen if you’re astral projecting?”
You nod slowly. “That could be it. Tell you what- we do have to get to class. How about after school ends, you all come with me to the Sanctum and we can see if any of the books there have something on weird chasms and blood runes appearing out of nowhere?” MJ nods. “Sounds good. I’ve always wanted to go there- I have a thing about visiting places no one else is supposed to go to. Will that Dr. Strange guy be okay with us visiting?”
 You smile. “I’ll send him a note. Also, Ned, I do have to ask you- how did you get access to the security cameras? I feel like that’s not easily given out to most students.” Ned just grins. “I felt it might come in handy. Besides, all the teachers keep talking about making sure you have the right tools to solve a problem, right? This is just my select tool.” Peter sighs. “Yeah, but I think they were talking about internships or calculators, not security feeds that you had to hack into the school’s mainframe to set up.” You can’t help but laugh at that, and head to class with your friends.
After school, you meet up with your friends and head over to Bleecker Street, where the New York Sanctum awaits. When you push open the door and head inside, your friends stand in the main entry, gawking at all of the artifacts and relics housed in the Sanctum.
Ned is the first to speak. “This place is so cool! You really live here?” You laugh. “Yeah, I guess I’m pretty lucky.” After everyone’s gotten their fill of the artifacts, you guide them to the library. When you first file in, Stephen is standing at the shelves, book in hand, but he turns when everyone enters.
“You must be the friends I’ve been warned about.” He says with a raised eyebrow, and you do your best to stifle a laugh. “Yeah, they already know that Peter’s Spider-Man and that I’m a sorcerer, so they’ll be fine here.” Stephen doesn’t reply to that, but strides out. You can’t help but notice that he gives Peter a sidelong look as he goes.
MJ watches him leave. “I don’t think he likes us very much.” Peter nods emphatically. “Especially me. Did you see that glare?” You just smile. “That’s how he is with everybody. He’s just wary of regular people in the Sanctum.” Peter shrugs. “Well, I’m glad we have you to let us in.” With that, everyone heads to the shelves and you start pulling books that could be of use.
Once you’ve gathered an armload of books, you set them down on a table and your friends take some to read. MJ holds up one book in confusion. “This is in a language I’ve never even heard of before. And I’ve heard of a lot.” You take the book from her, smiling. “It’s mainly spells, so you’d only be able to read it if you were a sorcerer. I’ll get that one.”
After a while of paging through the musty old books of the Sanctum, Peter turns to you with a shout of discovery. “I think I found something! Is this it?” You lean over the book. “Calamis..the Shadow? Formed when other dimensions intersect with this one and causes a rift between the worlds. Yeah, the drawing looks the same. I think that’s our monster.”
Peter steeples his fingers together. “So how do we take this thing down? All it says is that you have to close the rift, which will weaken it. I think that’s easier said than done.” You nod slowly. “It’s our only option at this point. I guess we just try to approach it and see what happens?” Ned looks at you. “That sounds like the most dangerous plan in the history of plans, but I guess it could work. Try it tomorrow?” You shrug. “Sure, why not? It’s probably best to get this thing out of the way before it attacks anyone.”
The next day comes around before you know it. To be honest, you’re not sure how you feel about seeking out this mysterious Calamis. You barely know anything about it, and you’re hesitant to put your friends at risk.
Yet you find yourself arriving at school early the next morning, silently meeting up with your friends and trudging down the stairs to the basement before school starts. Your breath catches in your throat as Peter reaches for the door knob. Nothing happens.
“It’s locked?” “I could break the lock.” Peter offers, but MJ steps forward. “I hate to say it, but there’s no need for unnecessary property damage. I have keys to the building.” She rummages around in her bag for a second, then pulls out a few keys all attached to the same faded keychain.
You, Peter, and Ned look at her in confusion, and Ned is the first one to speak up. “So it’s weird that I have access to the security cameras, but you literally have the keys to the school and that’s fine?” MJ nods. “Yes.” Peter bites back a laugh and tries the door knob once more. This time it opens, and you and your friends walk into the basement.
Instantly, you freeze. The room emanates that same heavy horror as before, but this time even more intense, if that’s possible. The runes painted across the floor and walls appear to have grown in number, and you can practically watch the ground cracking away. The small island of ground in the center of the room that has not fallen away to nothingness still remains, and blood pours from it like a deadly waterfall.
Beside you, Peter, Ned, and MJ seem oddly unmoved. “I can’t see anything.” You look at them in surprise. “What are you talking about? It’s right there.” Ned just shakes his head. “No. It’s just an ordinary basement.” You think for a second, and then it hits you. “It must be a sorcerer thing. Here, I can make you see it.” MJ frowns. “What are you going to do to us?” You wave a hand dismissively. “It’s a very basic spell. It just allows you to see past invisibility spells like this one.”
Peter nods. “I’m down. Do your magical thing, Y/N.” You smile and wave a hand in front of his face, watching his eyes flash gold briefly before returning to their normal color. He blinks once, then his eyes go wide. “What is that?” He points at the room. “The walls, the runes.. Why is the floor gone?” You sigh. “It’s the rift between dimensions.” Peter just stares, shocked. “Wow.” You project your spell onto Ned and MJ, who have the same horrified reaction as Peter.
The four of you stand there, gazing upon the mystical mess that is the basement of Midtown High. “What do we even do to stop this? I mean, how can we patch up this type of thing?” You shrug at Peter’s words. “I don’t know, but we have to find out before things get too bad.” Overhead, the bell rings once, signaling that the school day will start in five minutes. “I guess we figure it out in class.”
Luckily, the four of you share first period today- chemistry. Peter is partnered with Ned, and the two of them are one row in front of you and MJ, who are also paired together. This allows you to have muted conversations during work time about what you’re going to do about this Shadow problem.
When the ground shakes the first time, you’re not sure you felt anything. The second time, you think you’re just imagining it. Then, the tremors truly start, and you look at your friends in fear as your desks and chairs start rattling on the moving ground. Overhead, the lights flicker and then go out. Above the din of the classroom, the teacher shouts in an attempt to calm down her panicked class. “It’s just an earthquake! Please, go back to your work!”
Yet there’s a sound growing from outside of your classroom. It starts off quietly, and then grows in volume. It sounds like a roar of sorts, and it’s joined by the terrified screams of students down the hall. You realize in horror that it’s coming from the direction of the basement.
When the rest of your classmates hear the students screaming, all hell breaks loose. People run out of the room and into the halls. You take advantage of the mad rush to grab your friends. “I think Calamis- that shadow monster from the other dimension- is causing this. We have to do something.”
Peter nods in agreement. “I’ve got my Spider-Man suit in my bag, I’ll meet you by the stairs to the basement. Ned, MJ, you have to get people out of here.” MJ raises her hands in protest. “We can stay around! You need all the help you can get. You shake your head. “Peter is right. This is an otherworldly threat, and we’re the ones best suited to stop it. The best way you can help us is by getting people out of the way and into safety.”
MJ and Ned don’t look happy to leave you, but they agree and run out of the room. By the time you make your way through the panicked throng to the stairs leading to the basement, you’ve changed your school clothes into the robes of a Master of the Mystic Arts, hood pulled up to hide your face and pure magical energy coursing around your hands in preparation. Peter’s already in his Spider-Man suit, and the two of you exchange a few words for a plan before heading down the stairs.
The basement doors are flung open. One is bent almost in half, and the other is lying on the ground a distance away from the doorway, having been ripped off its hinges. You draw up a shield of magical energy in front of you and Peter, and the two of you step through the doorway.
Inside, you can see the true form of Calamis. He looks just as the book described- a somewhat humanoid silhouette, composed of pure shadow. He seems dark enough to snuff out the lights of an entire civilization, which is actually what he was born to do. When the two of you approach, he raises from his seated position on the blood rock in the center of the basement to stand and face you. He doesn’t have to say anything, just raises his arms and shadow pours from his hands, flowing across the chasm towards you like thick black smoke.
Instantly, you can tell that this shadow stuff won’t be safe to touch. You grab your sling ring from the chain around your neck and open up a portal in front of it, causing it to disappear somewhere deep in the pit below the school. Hopefully, it’ll end up in Calamis’ dimension and won’t bother you any longer.
Calamis twists around in rage and spreads his arms once more, causing the ceiling to shake and rain rubble around you. This time, it’s Peter’s turn to act. He slings the largest chunk of plaster and concrete towards the Shadow using his webs, and it actually hits the monster with some sort of impact. Unfortunately, all this seemed to do was make him mad, as Calamis finally steps off of his position on the rock and rushes toward you.
When he first hits you, he knocks you several feet down the hallway. You and Peter are forced to engage the Shadow in a desperate fight, you forcing back pools of darkness with spells and Peter using his webs to go on the offensive. You think you’re doing a pretty good job of holding him off, but eventually Calamis grows tired of the fight and summons one massive wave of darkness that knocks the ceiling down on top of you.
From the second his blow hits, your vision fades to almost nothing. Distantly, you feel yourself knocked backwards, and your body hits the ground with an impact that should hurt more than anything but is barely noticed. There’s a slight coppery taste in your mouth; it could be blood but you can’t sense enough to be sure. Overhead, you can distantly hear the sound of someone shouting your name, and then there’s the sensation of someone holding you in their arms.
When you finally come back to reality, Peter’s carrying you. He appears to have swung out of the basement and the two of you now stand in a deserted hallway, one lined with rubble from the fight. You must not have gone far.
Peter notices that you’re conscious once more, and he breathes a sigh of relief. “Thank God you’re okay. I managed to get us out of there, but I’m not sure where Calamis went.” You nod slowly, still not entirely thinking straight. Your hand unconsciously travels to your neck, and your eyes fly open in a panic when you realize that the chain is empty. “Where’s my sling ring? It’s gone!”
Peter hands you something. “Don’t worry, I picked it up before we left. It’s alright.” You breathe out, feeling your heart rate come back to normal. “Thanks, Peter.” You slowly stand up, stretching as the injuries you sustained during the fight start to make themselves known. You wince as you flex your wrist. Peter looks at you, troubled.
“Just promise me you won’t do anything like that again. I thought you were going to die, Y/N. You took a pretty hard hit. I know-” He cuts himself off, turning his head to the side as he struggles to find the right words. “I know I don’t mean a whole lot to you right now, but please, please tell me you’re going to stop risking your life like that. I can’t take it if you die.”
You look at him, shaking your head softly. “Peter, I do care about you. What are you talking about?” Peter sighs. “I know you said that at the beginning, but god, Y/N, you’ve barely spoken to me in weeks. You’ve stopped doing patrols, and then you’re saying you want to leave all of this behind, leave me behind? Maybe you can’t say it yourself, but you’ve made it pretty obvious that I’m not anywhere near the top of your priorities.”
You stare at him for a second, then break out into an incredulous laugh. “I don’t care about you? Peter, I’ve done all of this for you. You’ve been on my mind this entire time, from the second I met you. Why do you think I did patrols with you? Why do you think I watched all of the Star Wars movies so I could have talking points with you and Ned? Hell, why do you think I moved to Midtown? It wasn’t just so I could excel in school, Peter, it was because I loved you. And the worst part about loving you is that I’ve had to watch you choose MJ over everyone, and it hurts me more than I thought possible. You’re the most important person to me, but I am not the same to you.”
You breathe out slowly. Why did you say all that? You do have to admit that it feels good to let all of those words out in a rush, to finally get everything off of your chest. For once, all of the secrets you’ve kept bottled up inside of you have been let out.
Peter is silent for one second, two seconds, three. Then he walks over to you, and for a heartbeat you think he’s furious. Then his arms are wrapped around you, and he’s kissing you. You can’t do anything but stand there, stunned. Peter laughs quietly. “You thought I was in love with MJ? Y/N, I kept spending so much time with her because it was the only thing I could do to stop staring at you.”
You shake your head slowly, letting a smile cross your face. “Really?” “Really.” He kisses you again, and for once you’re not thinking about malevolent Shadows, or overbearing teachers, or any of the thousands of troubles that have made their way into your life. All you can think about is the fact that the boy you love is standing close to you and that he feels the exact same way about you.

Stephen ~ What It Needs To Be

Warnings: Neutral Reader, strong magic reader, family rejection, cloak fluff, hint at protective Stephen, start of relationship
You weren’t a fan of being the new kid on the block, and yet, from the moment that you’d gotten to the Sanctum, you’d felt more at home than you ever had.
As a child, you’d always had the ability to make strange and unusual things happen.  It had cost you many friends and you saw enough, even at a young age, to know that your parents feared it.  You’d eventually taken the plunge and left it all behind you, and while that was many years ago, it was what had finally led you here.
The magic around you felt familiar, and you knew that, with a bit of effort, things might actually begin to settle for you.  It was what you’d really craved, some control, because as you’d gotten older, your power had just grown more chaotic.
Several instructors tried, and failed, to train you and bring your magic into control, and as each one did, you got a little more frustrated and desperate.  This was your last option.  There were no doors left open to you.
After further failures, that was when they introduced you to Dr Stephen Strange.
You knew his name of course, as both a doctor and an Avenger, and around here as the Sorcerer Supreme.  What you weren’t expecting was to be told that he was now to be the one training you. You had expected simply for him to offer words of advice to move forward with.
He observed you in silence for a long time, and you knew he was calculating something, having no doubt been told of your abilities.  It was a little unnerving, but knowing this was it, you let it happen.
“Natural ability is a rare thing to come by,” Stephen said eventually.  “Has this been since birth?”
“As far as I know,” You said.  “It’s my earliest memory of levitating the dog through the house, but my parents refused to talk about much, if at all.”
He hummed thoughtfully. “And this moments of no control, what do you feel?”
This was a much harder question to answer.  “Well...magic mostly.  I can’t say that I can pin point it to a particular emotion or situation or anything of the sort.  It’s just...magic.  It fills me and then unleashes.  Sometimes it hurts, sometimes I feel nothing at all.  Sometimes I blackout afterwards and other times I’m left awake for days. If I had a proper and more meaningful answer, I would give it to you.”
“No, that is quit suitable,” He said, nodding as he thought before moving closer to you and holding out his hands.  “May I?”
You subconsciously swallowed and rested your hands in his.
“I want you to relax,” Stephen said calmly.  “Take several deep breathes for me and close your eyes.”
A nervous smile tugs at your lips.  “Is this going to hurt?”
“No,” He said gently. “I am simply going to see if I can find out where your magic is coming from and just how powerful it is.  If you stay calm and relaxed, then nothing will happen.”
You nod slowly and do as he asks, trusting him.  If this was what had to be done, then so be it.
The darkness behind your eyes was of a little relief when you felt his magic start, it gave you something to focus on besides your increasing heart rate, nerves eating at you. You had to remind yourself more than once that he was the most powerful sorcerer on the planet.  If anyone could help you, he could.
There was a movement around your shoulders but you didn’t let it distract you, if anything, it was a sense of comfort, one that told you it was okay, and you eased a little more into the magic.
As you sat there it felt like time suddenly didn’t seem to exist, you could’ve been frozen there for all you knew, or flying through galaxy after galaxy, stars shining around you, reminding you of just how small you are.
The magic moves away and you let out a deep shuddering breath.
“Nice and slow,” Stephen’s voice said.  “Feel your physical presence return, seated here with me.”
Your body felt tingly, but you had little doubt that he had found the answers he wanted, something telling you so.  Still, you followed his instructions and settled back into your body, letting everything relax and feel right before you made any sort of movement.
Which was when you realised the presence on your shoulders was a physical one.
The red cloak was sitting snugly on your shoulders, practically wrapped around your body, and it was only after you looked back at Stephen that you realised it was his.
“Ignore the cloak,” He said, seeming to refrain from rolling his eyes.  “It does as it pleases.  I still wonder why it chose me at times.”
You felt the cloak shift a little in response, but it makes no move to remove itself from your shoulders. “Does it do this often?”
Stephen smiles and shakes his head.  “No, not really.  It must like you, and with what I saw, I am not surprised.”
“I...is that a good thing?”
He pours two cups of tea. “The cloak?  Yes, I suppose so, it is rather handy at times.  What I saw...not so much.  It would seem that someone has been messing with things they shouldn’t, and you and your abilities are a direct result of that.  It is not unmanageable, but it is going to be difficult.”
Your breath caught in your throat.  “O-okay.”
Stephen’s look was sympathetic as he hands you a tea.  “I can train you Y/N, but I do need to know whether you are willing to put in the hard work first.  This is going to be a long and time consuming process, there is a lot that needs to be undone and redone.  I will not lie to you that some of it will be dangerous.”
The cloak wraps a little tighter around you and you couldn’t help but feel like you were locked in a comforting hug.
“I’m in,” You said quietly. “Whatever it takes.  I would never have come here otherwise.”
“Good,” Stephen nods. “I am glad to hear that.  It will have to wait several days though.  First things first, is you need to rest, there will be little time to do so when we start.  While you rest, I must go and deal with the one who did this to you before they do it to someone else.”
“Should that not be something I help with?”  You asked.
“No,” Stephen takes a long drink from his tea.  “I fear it would have a negative effect on you, and we cannot risk your magic getting more chaotic.”
You nodded slowly, staring at your tea.  “If...if that is how it needs to be.”
“It’s exactly what it needs to be and no more.”  He said, his hand resting on top of yours from the briefest of moments, enough to look up and meet his eyes.  “We will fix this and I will train you.  If all goes well, you can have a life again.”
Laughing softly, you shake your head.  “I don’t know, I’ve settled pretty nicely into the life here. I’d like to stay, should all go well.”
“You are most welcome too,” Stephen smiles and stands. “For now, rest up.  Doctor’s and mentor’s orders.”
Chuckling, you nod.  “I think I can manage that.”
He nods, still smiling and then looks at the cloak. “Are you coming or shall I leave you here too?”
There was a final squeeze around you, like a hug, before the cloak let go and flew over to Stephen, settling back on his shoulders.
“Be careful,” You said softly.  “I’d hate to think of anything happening to you because of me.”
Stephen sends you one final smile over his shoulder before he walks through a portal and disappears, leaving you quietly alone.
Resting was going to be the easy part of this, it was the waiting that was going to frustrate you, never sure of when you’d get to see him again
Sighing, you finish your tea in the silence, glad to finally have somewhere you can comfortably call home, and even more glad that, perhaps, there was finally an ultimate solution on the horizon.

Summary: "Handle me? Who are you? You think you're some kind of sorcerer? Don't think for one minute, you second-rate…"
Everyone was born with their soulmate's first words on their skin, and that nonsense was Stephen's. However, after finding himself at Kamar-Taj, it suddenly made so much more sense.
Not that he agreed with the "second-rate" part, but maybe they were meant to be, after all.
Getting Warmer (ao3) - surveycorpsjean Rating: Explicit
Summary: Loki flirts his way into Stephen's bedroom, silver tongued and seductive, and Stephen is ever so weak to say no.
It's just casual. No strings attached. Zero commitments.
Stephen is totally fine with this.
How we Swallow the Sun (ao3) - voices_in_my_head Rating: Teen And Up

But Loki was in the neighbourhood so he decided to pop in and say hello.
Exchange a few heartfelt words and whatnot.
Involuntary Attraction (ao3) - boleyn13 Rating: Teen And Up

(Including the following, untagged, one-sided pairings: Tony Stark/Loki, Thor/Loki, Bruce Banner/Loki, Hulk/Loki, Steve Rogers/Loki, Clint Barton/Loki, Natasha Romanov/Loki)
Sorcerers only (ao3) - boleyn13 Rating: Teen And Up
Summary: “Fuck, you’re trying to get into his pants!”
Loki made a gesture with his hand that said ‘Duh!’. “Constantly. He is a hopeless case.”
“Oh please, you are one fight with your dad and a bad day away from crawling into my bed.”
“In your dreams, Strange.”
Tony can't help but notice that Strange and Loki are hanging out together. A lot.
Strange Powers (ao3) - sarahstarkiller Rating: Explicit
Summary: When Loki shows up at the Sanctum Sanctorum, Stephen decides that the best thing to do is invite him to lunch.
The Contract (ao3) - Laily Rating: Mature
Summary: An awkward dinner party brings Doctor Stephen Strange and Loki of Asgard together; though ill-at-ease, still they seek the company of each other, being the odd ones out. One wakes up somewhat rested, the other in the worst pain of his life.
Thor is not a happy camper.
Therapeutic B.A.R.F. (ao3) - Howlingdawn Rating: Teen And Up
Summary: In the battle against Thanos, Loki was nearly killed. As he saved him from death's clutches, Strange heard him say something about apologizing to Frigga. So, with some help from Tony's B.A.R.F. glasses and a certain Cloak of Levitation, Strange offers Loki a less fatal way to have that much-needed moment with his mother.
Two sorcerers going at it (ao3) - boleyn13 Rating: Teen And Up
Summary: Ready for an attack Stephen straightened his back, he wasn’t going to let this man see his astonishment. “You should be in Norway.” Loki shrugged. “I have no intention to talk to Odin. Family meetings aren’t my favourite way to pass the time. All the yelling and screaming and so many reproaches.” “Attempted murders?” “One or two.”
Loki is capable of trapping Odin within a spell for two years, but can't get out of a little portal? Yeah, right.
Uninvited (ao3) - Foxglove_Fiction Rating: Teen And Up
Summary: There’s something you’re often told by those who are unaware of the capabilities of magic: “Some things are simply inevitable.” I don’t think I believed that when I was a child, but I believe it much less now that I’ve become the Sorcerer Supreme. After feeling magic surge through your body, fighting demons and Gods, and visiting dimensions unknown to most it can become very difficult to imagine anything is set in stone.
So dealing with Thor trying to tell me that it’s ‘inevitable’ that Loki took a fascination with me is something quite unexpected. The Asgardian is hardly some uninformed dolt - frankly, he’s a lot more intelligent than many give him credit for - so to think he holds on to some concept of inevitability seems absurd. Still, he said what he said.
OR
How Loki convinced Stephen to agree to go on a date with him.
Vibrato (ao3) - shattered_sian Rating: Mature
Summary: Thor and Loki return to Earth with the people of Asgard, but Strange won't allow Loki to roam Earth after all of his devilish deeds. Thor makes an agreement with the sorcerer to keep Loki on Earth- his brother will have to be under the supervision of Doctor Strange at all times. While at first Loki's antics are nearly too much for Strange to handle, things slowly change.
Waves to the Shore. (ao3) - theweakestthing Rating: Mature
Summary: “There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea." - Lord Byron.
You want us to sign the WHAT? (ao3) - oceankat8 Rating: General
Summary: What if Civil War happened about a year after Ragnarok? What if the Revengers had finally made their way home, only to find out that Earth may not be where they belong after all? What if some dumbass named Ross tells Thor to sign the accords and actually expects him to just.. like.. do that? Well, let's find out shall we?

Some Kind of Magic
Stephen Strange X Fem!Doctor!Reader
A/N: Oops. I love the doctor now. - Nemo
Warning(s): Alternate Endgame ending. Doctor talk. Tony Stark on drugs. Morgan asks questions.
Summary: She’s a doctor and so is he. The only difference is one was able to keep Tony Stark alive while the other couldn’t.
Masterlist
Tumblr media
It took an army of superheroes to defeat Thanos the second time he came to earth, and it took another army of heroes to deal with what was left behind.
Where people like Captain America and the Wakandan Army physically fought against Thanos, others like firefighters and ambulance staff had to deal with what was left behind. It was those other heroes that meant Tony Stark was still alive.
Even so, it had been a week and he was yet to wake up. A week since he saved the world. A week since he was hurriedly taken to the nearest hospital. A week since Dr.(y/n) (l/n) operated on a man as if it were her own life she was saving.
She barely let anyone know she was the one to fix him up. She didn’t want the attention, to her that wasn’t what being a doctor was about. She was in it to help people, not to become some sort of hero.
But to think that not even five years ago she was nothing but a student at her hometowns nearest University seemed like a dream compared to what she was now.
Pepper, Morgan, Happy, Peter, and Stephen were the five that barely left the hospital the whole time Tony was there. Waiting in one of the ICU’s waiting rooms while the doctors did their rounds was one of the worst parts of the day, even if it was the place with a TV to break the silence that was always there when they sat with Tony.
Stephen wondered if all the patient's relatives felt like he did, but he knew he hated the waiting.
----------
(y/n) was set to doing her rounds, checking up on her last patient for the day when the subject in question stirred. And, after eight days, Tony Stark woke up.
She quickly spoke to the nurse with her, telling him to go fetch his small group of permanent visitors. She was sure they’d want to see him, and vice versa.
(y/n) could see him start to gain his bearings, and that he was about to ask questions, so she stepped forwards at the foot of his bed, a light smile on her face, and waited for his eyes to find her.
“Afternoon Mr. Stark. Good to see you awake.” she said moving around to check his monitors and drip, and started to scribble down notes on the clipboard. “I’ve sent for your family, but you need to take it easy.” she looked down at the man as he watched her with as much interest as someone being pumped full with morphine could, ”But I don’t think that’d be too much trouble.” she finished with a smile.
“Daddy!” the young girl Morgan said, her mother in tow as they both came in. Luckily (y/n) had no need to tell them to be careful; the nurse must’ve warned them beforehand, and they treated Tony very gently.
(y/n) smiled, noting down a couple last things on the clipboard before hooking it back down at the end of the bed and leaving as Happy and Peter came in.
Stephen was the last to venture into the ICU ward, wanting those who Tony meant more to to have their moments with him first, and because of that he was able to see the doctor who saved his friend.
She was just leaving Tony’s room, hair pulled back away from her face, and clad in her white coat. He’d never seen her before, even though he’d wanted to since Tony first came out of surgery.
She’d done an amazing job on him, even the scars on Tony’s face would heal neatly enough that they wouldn’t be horrible to look at, and Stephen desperately wondered where she was when he needed someone with a hand like that.
“Hey, Miss!” he found himself calling after her to get her attention. He stopped just short of her, and she turned back to him with a smile.
“Yes sir, can I help you?” she asked, then tapped her forehead with a finger. “Right! You’re one of Mr. Stark’s friends. He’s awake now. You can go see him if you’d like-”
“I’m not here for him.” Stephen said, catching himself, “I mean, I am here at the hospital because of him, but I’m not ‘here’ here because of him - actually I am - I just…” he trailed off, seeing the younger doctor trying to hide her laughter.
“You can just ask me, no explaining. I won't bite.” How she knew he wanted to ask her questions was beyond him, he was just grateful he was able to stop making a mess of himself. He was never like this.
“You operated on Tony, right?” She nodded.
“Yes.”
“And you’ve been checking up on him whenever doctors do their rounds?”
“Correct.”
“I’ve never heard of you before-” he took a look at her lapel, “Doctor (l/n).”
“There is a reason for that, Doctor Strange.” She started with a smile, moving back to the nurses station to start looking through papers as she spoke. “After the ‘Snap’ a surprising amount of doctors disappeared. With the casualties it also caused nurses had to step up to be doctors, and students and interns to replace the nurses. I was a nurse working in a smaller hospital in Brooklyn when it happened, then moved towards wherever I was needed.”
“So before you weren’t a doctor, now you are and you were needed here.” Stephen concluded, mind working fast to try and detract his fingers from twitching so much.
“I was needed here.” She echoed. “I was called out when word spread about Thanos arriving, so I was sent to this hospital encase some big surgery was needed, or to help out with smaller ones.” She shrugged, seeming to not think too much of what she did.
“Thank you.” Stephen said, placing a hand on the bench next to her papers. “A lot of people will think they owe you favors for how you helped him. Me included.”
“You don’t need to owe me a favor, you’ve done enough.” she said, letting out a short laugh, “And it’s my job. I’ve operated on worse than Stark.” she added with a mumble, scribbling down a signature on one of the papers before neatening them and passing them down to a nurse.
“You saved the man who saved the world.”
“You saved my dad.” Morgan said, appearing from the doorway of Stark’s room, a smile on her face as the other looked on. She let out a sigh, smiling, then knelt down in front of the smaller girl.
“It wasn’t just me. There’s always others that help. I couldn’t have operated on your father without the other doctors or the nurses being there to help. It’s always a team.” (y/n) spoke with such kindness and in such a way that Morgan would understand, Stephen was sure she dealt with children before adults. “Even you coming in a reading your books to him everyday helped save him, I’m sure of it.” Morgan smiled at that, and so did everyone in Tony’s room.
Even Tony did, even though he probably had no idea why. His head was completely up in the clouds, but he knew that he was okay. They won. He was safe. Everyone was. That was enough to smile about.
“Did I really?” Morgan asked with a giggle, looking back at her dopey father. “He was sleeping!”
“He definitely was. And he deserved that big sleep too.” (y/n) laughed along lightly, before walking with the girl into the room to start explaining procedures and when Tony could be emitted to the others.
It was all stuff Stephen was familiar with, and he wasn’t paying much attention anyway, she sure as hell knew what she was talking about, and the others were soaking in her words like a sponge with water.
“If you have any questions you can ask now,” she finished, looking around at the small group, “Or you could wait until tomorrow when Mr. Stark would be more awake?” They all stayed somewhat quiet, seeming to take the latter option, but Morgan’s inquisitive child-like nature kicked in once more.
“Are all doctors magic? Like Stephen?” she asked, looking up at the (more real) doctor. “The nurse before said it was a miracle he woke up. Magicians to miracles.”
“A miracle for sure, Miss. Morgan, but magic?” (y/n) shook her head, smiling once more, and looking back at Stephen. “Must be some kind of magic.”

Crossover MCU/DC
So... it’s more like a Crossover between Dr. Strange and the DC universe but yeah... anyway
Dr. Strange is the Sorcerer Supreme, the protector of earth and all this shit. But he’s also the protector of the multiverse. And I think, as the protector, he needs to travel between all this worlds. And one of these worlds is the DC universe. I’m more a Marvel fan, know much about the MCU but DC... uhhh, I often read some post about facts of some charakters and often use wikipedia and all. But I haven’t read comics, just watched some movies, so if I have something wrong, it’s fanfic my dudes.
Anyway (I use this word to much) through this whole protecting shit, travels among the universes, he meets the Justice League and becomes a member. He’s often called, when some mogic villians attack the earth. But Stephen realizes, that’s just too much work. So he creates Kamar Taj in the DC universe, Wong becomes a teacher and so on and on. And Kamar Taj becomes like a door/portal for travels between the two universes Dr. Strange lives.
Anyway. Because of Thanos the whole multiverse is screwed up and when the Avengers defeat him five years later, it’s repaired, but not like before. The Infinity Stones are the most powerful things in the multiverse, they are beings (creepy) and decide, they need a host. Because Thanos is absolut shit and who says, there are not more like him? So... after the multiverse was screwed up, Dr. Strange goes to the heart? idk if that exists in the comics, but everything has a zentrum and yeah. He goes there and everything is in absolut chaos. He tries to ‘clean’ up, but it doesn’t help much. Then he realizes, that this whole energy can’t be guided in the different universes with some simple speels. So he starts to collect the Infinity Stones and places all six of them in the middle of this whole energy stuff. Uhh, it’s really hard do describe? Hope it still works
Anyway. The stones ‘realize’ that they are finally at their right place and think Stephen is worthy. But he’s still human and humans can be corrupted. So they basically make him a father and create their ‘host’/heir whatever. Basically, Stephen has a daughter now. Who controls and holds the power of the Infinity Stones. And because she was created in the heart of the multiverse, she controls also the universes? This is just an excuse to make my charakter overpowered :) But Stephen can have the Time Stone back, and places all the other Stones back where they come from. They can still be ‘used’, but everytime this happens, Stephen’s daughter knows this and can block the stone or summon it. So basically she protects the stones and the multiverse.
And now I need a name. Uhm... I’ll call her Thea (greek for goddess) So, Stephen has now a teenage daughter, who is too powerful, wise and yeah. But he treats her still like she’s a teenager and she loosens up? Yk, becomes a little bit more human. So, now, he introduces her to the Avengers and the Justice League (the both groups don’t know each other). But yeah, he tells them, that this is his daughter and now the hero Infinity. When she’s in her ‘hero’ persona, her eyes become glowing white, her voice echoes and her hair has the colors of the stones. And yeah... another excuse to make her absolutly gorgeous and badass and powerful-
Anyway. Thea never shows her real power, just uses magic like her father. All heroes think she’s the host of an Elder, a group of immortal beings, who existet before the Big Bang. Probalby the goddess of life or something like that.
So... now. Ra’s al Ghul hears of her and her powers, well what everybody think her powers are. The villians and civilians don’t know, what the heroes know. So, Ra’s thinks she’s just a powerful sorceress, after all her father is the most powerful of them. He gathers all the magic users together and tries to capture her. And Thea thinks, why not. Let’s play with mortals. (I have no idea, if I should make her immortal or just half human, half universe. Like after her death she becomes one with the multiverse...)
Anyway. She comes to the League of assassins, her magic ‘stolen’ or that’s what everybody thinks. Because they are not Mordo, who can steal the magic from people like in the MCU. So, Ra’s thinks, she’s magicless and trains her. Thea plays the scared teenager, almost adult woman and learns fast. And then she meets Jason, who’s the pet project of Talia. The two of them often train together. When he finally escapes or whatever he does and goes back to Gotham, she tells him to go to Kamar Taj, that the people there can help with the pit madness. Jason still wants revenge and tries to kill Bruce, but when then Bruce tries to help and he can’t really, Jason searches Kamar Taj. Stephen finds him and becomes his teacher. So Jason learns about the multiverse and that Stephen protectes it and suddendly feels very small. He wants to help and becomes fast a Master of the Mystic Arts. One day, Thea comes back, tired of pretending she’s a helpless girl agains the League. She blows up the whole place, and nearly kills Ra’s.
So, Jason meets Thea again, accepts the fact, that she’s literally the child of some stones and the multiverse. He also meets tha Avengers and wants to become one. Because they don’t have a problem with killings, not like the Justice League or Batman.
Anyway. Jason still becomes Red Hood, that he has magic now is his biggest secret. Thea becomes his right hand, names herself Hela (like the sister of Thor), basically becomes her, with her powers and all the stuff. But she only uses them, when it’s necessary. So, Jason takes over Gotham, controls crime and slowls reduces it. Bruce doesn’t really notice it, because Jason let’s all the Bosses (like Black Mask) life, and controls them. But then Bruce hears them talking about Red Hood and his right hand Hela. He never saw them and first thinks this are just rumors, but the talk never stops about them. Bruce begins to search this Red Hood, becomes a drug boss, while Jason watches every step of him.
It takes some time, but Bruce becomes a part of the Big Bosses of Gotham. Probably has some ridiculous name and a mask, which hides his face. And then he’s finally a part of the meeting with Red Hood. There are many drug bosses there, some villians and the Joker... They all wait for Red Hood, but first meet Hela. If some people don’t know her, here is a picture.
Tumblr media
This is so big... anyway.
So, she stalks in this room and sits at the head of the table, grins like she’s crazy. And then comes Red Hood in, in a neat suit and I’m just putting another picture here..
Tumblr media
Something like that. And Jason just sits there, Thea at his right side and stares at the people. Suddendly he points his gun at Bruce, who starts to freak out, because no way this Red Hood knows he’s Batman- Jason shoots the Bodyguard behind him. Bruce just blinks, while Thea summons some daggers/swords? whatever this weapons of Hela are and kills all the rest of the Bodyguards.
“Now we are finally alone...” Jason glares at Joker, who grins like the madman he is.
“I’m sure, everybody of you wants to know, why am I doing this?” Bruce wants to sigh, now this typical ‘I’m the bad guy, I need to monologue’ stuff.
“It’s rather easy. I grew up in Gotham, I lived through the good and the bad things, I lived as a poor boy and as a rich boy. I died here and came back.”
“Thanks to me”, Thea grins, while Jason chuckles.
“Yes, thanks to Hela. Don’t worry, she’s not some pretender, she’s the real goddess of death.” Now most of the bad guys start sweating, because there is a fucking goddess and she’s the right hand of this guy-
“But we’re not finished yet... I died, in the hands of a madman, because my own mother betrayed me and my... father couldn’t save me.”
“I didn’t really intruduce myself. My name is Red Hood and before I died, I was the second Robin.” Now Bruce really started to panic. Before anybody can do something, Jason kills the Joker.
“I always hated his stupid grin...” Thea slowly stands up and kneels beside the body of the Joker and brings him back to life. Joker is just confused and Bruce’s now thinking, that this was a really really bad idea.
“I’m going to torture you later, but I really needed to shoot you in your stupid face. And don’t think, that Batman is going to save you.” The other villians are shocked, because their new boss was once a hero, a Robin and now he kills people?
“Now... let’s start the real buisness.” Bruce knows, that he’s fucked, because there is a goddess and he’s pretty sure, that this goddess knows, that he’s Batman.
When the whole meetings ends and everyone is starting to go, Jason calls Bruce by his fake name. Everybody stops, because this is a new guy. Either he dies or he becomes rewared.
“I always hated Batman for being so cold, almost heartless. But he never seemed to do the bad thing, he was a hero after all. I was rather shocked, when I learned, that he had killed before and from who he had learned... but he never hurt innocents. Not before and not now. So... what is different now? Why does he send you, an innoncent, to the middle of the lion’s den? Tell me, Bruce, what is different now?”
“You always seem to protect Batman, is he your secret lover? Or just a friend? Or your enemy? After all, you allowed him, that I could be his sidekick... tell me, Bruce, why are you taking this burden? To help him, to do his dirty work?”
Jason doesn’t expose Bruce to all the villians there, just warns him. When he ever steps a foot in his ‘kingdom’, he’s dead. Just like all his allies. And Bruce now knows, Jason is able to do that. So, Bruce distances himself of Red Hood, but tries to find Jason. Jason doesn’t cares about that, he’s happy, he protects Gotham, well, as good as he can and he protects the multiverse.
I think Thea would become his lover and maybe one day, Red Hood becomes part of the Batfam and they meet ‘Hela’. And Infinity is together with Drákon, the right hand of Dr. Strange. Jason is choosen by an ancient sword, which holds the power of dragons. (something like Genji of overwatch) So yeah... Jason and Thea have many personas and love to confuse people
If anyone wants to write a story about this, tag me, so I can read it! This is one of my favourite ideas :) and if anything is confusing about my writing style... I’m swiss, I have like no idea how to write in english ._.

Tony Stark Still Hates Magic
A lovely prompt from @mistressstrange: Prompt: Peter, after spending five years in the Soul Stone with him, finds himself going to Stephen when he needs help. tony is not sure how to feel about this development.
It hurt. It really hurt when the blip happened. It hurt turning to dust. It made every bone and muscle ache. He really hadn’t felt well at all when it happened. It didn’t help that he never saw Tony in the soul stone. He felt alone. Then he got close with Doctor Stephen Strange. Their time on Titan was brief and in that time frame, Peter had listened to his mentor and lab dad gush over how attractive the man was. So it wasn’t a shock to the Doctor to find said kid at the doorstep of the sanctum one particular Tuesday afternoon.
“Do you remember?” Peter asked, looking up from his physics homework. The sorcerer was quietly reading one of the many books and sipping on tea.
“Yeah, I do. We’re the unfortunate ones that do.” Stephen answered after a few moments of silence. How could he forget? He was powerless in the soul stone. He remembered the screams, the cries, the panic. He remembered it all. Sometimes he hated his photographic memory.
That’s how things had been lately. Sometimes it was after school, Peter would just show up. Other times, it’d be after a rough night of patrolling. The Doctor would help heal the teen. Then he’d let Peter look around. If Stephen wasn’t with the teen, the cloak was hovering. Wong got used to the kid hanging around the Sanctum. He got annoyed when the teen started throwing things at him from the ceiling.
-------------------
“Bruce...I think Peter is abandoning me.” Tony whined, spinning around and looking at the green guy. He will never get used to this Professor Hulk thing.
“Have you tried contacting him?” The chemist asked, not bothering to look up from what he was working on. He was tired of the whining from the smaller man. He wanted to work in peace.
“Yes! He tells me he’ll be by, then he doesn’t show! I think I’m being ghosted!” Tony threw his hands up, emphasising the importance of this. The teen had bailed four times now. Each time saying he got caught up with Dr. Strange, ending it with how cool the Sorcerer was. “He’s with Strange. Every time.”
“So you’re jealous.” Bruce concludes with a smirk. Tony was NOT jealous. He was annoyed that a teen was ghosting him. With a dramatic sigh, he turned back to his work. He wasn’t comfortable with Peter being around magic. It may have something to do with how Tony personally felt. Either way, he wasn’t too fond of it.
“I think it’s because of the magic thing. Also he was kind of a dick to me.” Tony said after a few minutes of quiet, causing Bruce to drop what he was working on. But magic terrified Tony. There was no science to it. It was just...there. It also tried to kill Tony back in 2012. But he didn’t want to talk about that right now.
---------------------------------------------
It was a Wednesday this time when Peter found himself in the Sanctums library. Flash had been a dick to him again, tripped him and knocked his food out of his hands. He also just felt off. Then it happened. Some kids were discussing the blip.
“They kept talking about it! I couldn’t handle it. They got to take a nap. I got to be painfully aware of it!” Peter was pacing. His brain was going a million miles a minute. “I know they don’t remember mindlessly wandering around in there, but some people do. I do.” He felt his voice crack at the last part.
“It’s not fair. But we made it back. We are safe.” Stephen tried being reassuring. Being stuck in The Soul Stone was painful for himself. He couldn’t use his magic, and the pain in his hands had intensified with that. Peter just sighed and sat down on the floor. He had finished his homework for the night, and he hadn’t planned on patrolling tonight. He was too exhausted.
“Mr. Sta- Tony…” The teen corrected himself quickly before continuing “said it was weird here. He and Pepper broke things off after the space donut thing, and he moved off to a lake house. It wasn’t until Scott threw the picture of him and I at him that he wanted to do something.” He was rambling. He wasn’t used to calling Mr. Stark Tony, but after Captain Marvel snapped and everyone was okay, he insisted Peter start calling him Tony. In fact he would stop responding to the kid unless he was called Tony. Stephen didn’t mind the teen rambling. In fact it was soothing almost. Normally the sorcerer loved the quiet, but after being in The Soul Stone, he couldn’t do prolonged quiet time.
“Speak of the devil.” Stephen sat up quickly, Peter looked at the sorcerer, confusion spread over his face. In the blink of an eye the engineer was in the same room as them, looking like a deer in headlights.
“Merlin, I HATE magic. Can’t you answer a door normally?” Tony shook his head, pointing a finger at the doctor. “Underoos, what are you doing here? I thought you had updates you wanted to test today.” He was avoiding looking at Stephen, who was dressed in street clothes for once.
“Oh! Sorry Tony! I was going to head over once I was done my homework, I just had some questions for Doctor Strange.” Peter looked down sheepishly. He had asked to test some new web fluid with the man.
“Wait, let's backtrack; when did you and Merlin get close?” Tony asked, pointing between the two of them. Was he jealous that his pseudo son had another paternal model? Nope not at all. Tony Stark does NOT get jealous.
“Is someone jealous?” Stephen smirked. He was aware of how close the two were, and he had no intentions of ruining that. But watching Tony squirm was pretty comical.
“The Soul Stone...you weren’t there.” Peter’s voice is barely above a whisper but both men hear him. Tony immediately stiffins. He never wanted to hear that phrase out of Peter’s mouth again. Especially after the beach incident. Tony remembered losing both of them on Titan. He also remembered Stephen’s words before turning to dust:
“There was no other way.”
“I would have been there...Peter...I’m sorry.” Tony had wished he could have stopped it.
“I remember. He remembers...it makes it easier to cope.” The teen looked at the engineer. Everyone kept talking about how it felt like a long nap. Sleeping would have been a walk in the park. It was like a constant ache for Peter. He was aware the whole time. It didn’t help that the blip was painful. Being in The Soul Stone was overall painful.
“I get it...shit I’m glad you have an outlet kid.” Tony ran his hand down his face, feeling both embarrassment, and guilt. He hadn’t thought of how the blip affected Peter. He didn’t think the teen felt it. Most of those that blipped said it was like a long nap. Peter was aware the whole time. “I’m so sorry.”
“I’ll make sure he spends more time with you.” Strange’s baritone voice filled the silence. He had a small smile on his face. Yeah, Tony had a crush on this stupid asshole.

Tumblr media
Its been 5 years. 5 years since your life turned upside down and was changed for the worse, but it just felt like yesterday.
You stood there, awaiting for what came next, holding tightly Stephen’s hand. “Stephen...”
Suddenly, without control, your colleges, your friends started disappearing on planet Titan. It all happened so fast. You tried to stop it, but it was out of your hands. “No, no, no,” you were shocked, tears streaming down your face as you saw the ones you loved die, just poof away.
You then remembered your husband. Turning your head to Stephen your world fell apart. He fell, leaning against a rock. “Oh god no,” you sobbed not wanting him to leave you. You needed him, he was your life. “Baby, no don’t leave me,” you pleaded, kneeling before him, clutching his once strong hands now going weak.
“I’m sorry y/n, I’m sorry,” he only whispered, feeling life soon leaving his body. “I’m sorry, I...we all tried. There was nothing more we could do.” He tried gripping your hand, granting you one last kiss on your knuckles. You could feel the splash of tears drop onto your skin feeling worse knowing he was crying, knowing he didn’t want to leave you. “I love you...”
He was gone.
The wind took his ashes away, leaving you with only a little piece of himself. Your lips trembled, you were shaking out of anger and sadness. You picked up a pile of his ashes in your hand and dropped them again to the ground. You looked up to the sky and screamed. Screamed on the top of your lungs. For once being and Avenger didn’t matter for you were powerless.
Tumblr media
Sitting up in your bed full of sweat you look beside you. Hoping Stephen is there and it was all a nightmare. As you look you realize it was all a reality. He was truly gone. Again, everyday, you would sob. Either sob the whole night or sob till you fell asleep. You wrapped yourself up in one of his shirts, smelling it and just wishing for his presence, he was with you. “I miss you my love.” You would hug yourself with his shirt on.
You were alone in the house. You felt broken and just not wanting to live anymore. Sometimes, what was left of the gang, would come visit you but most days you wanted to stay in bed and hope and pray that you would die.
A knock on the door startled you. You still laid there not wanting any confrontation.
“Y/n, I know you’re in there,” Steve called out to you.
You groaned as you got up. You were wearing pajamas from who knows when. You hadn’t taken a shower, you were a mess. The house was a disaster and you were feeling very weak at the moment.
You opened the door lightly, “what do you want?” Usually, your cheery self or the you from five years ago would of said something sarcastic or something silly to Steve but that you had disappeared, along with the love of your life.
Steve looked worried, seeing as you had bags under your eyes and you looked almost lifeless, well you felt it. “Please, can I come in?”
You bit your lip in thought, thinking.
“Please, y/n, can we just talk?”
You nodded, opening the door wide for him. He looked around the house that was so lively with music playing and you and Stephen dancing together, cooking, you would invite the Avengers for dinners all the time but now the house was dark, curtains closing the sunshine. It was better that way, outside people experienced the same things. Loss of loved ones. Half of the population was wiped out from that snap so outside was dark and gloomy, like everyone's souls. Garbage, clothes, his clothes were every where, lying around the house, bills and letters were all stacked into one corner.
“Please, sit,” you said as you pointed to the kitchen table. It was all covered in junk. You quickly moved everything aside with force, not caring about a glass vase shattering. You just did not care about anything.
“Thank you,” Steve sat politely.
“Would you like some, um,” you went to the kitchen and saw you had no groceries, “water?”
“I’m good thanks.”
You walked back and sat in front of Steve, not knowing what to talk about but you knew what you didn’t want to talk about. Steve and Natasha and some of the group were dead set on bringing those who were snapped back. You just never wanted to talk about it. You didn’t want to bring your hopes up and then when it failed be down all over again. Even seeing their faces brought back your husband in your mind, old times.
“How are you feeling?”
You chuckled, “the same...”
“Listen y/n, I know you miss him-”
“No don’t you start with that,” you shook your head.
“-but you can’t keep living like this.” Steve wrapped your hands into his, engulfing them. He then realized you were wearing Stephen’s shirt. “He wouldn’t have wanted this for you.” You brought your hands back as if Steve stung your hands. You hated talking about him.
“Oh what the he*l do you know, Steve? I can and I will keep living like this. You know I kinda have the right to. Everybody, everybody is wanting me to take care of myself, to just live on, well what if I don’t want to! I never wanted to proceed in living without Step- without him...”
Steve felt pain for you, but he didn’t want nothing bad happening to you either. “Y/n, this has got to stop.”
“I can’t even say his name. I can’t leave the house without thinking about him. I don’t want to breathe, eat, sleep, do anything without him. I won’t. You all expect me, oh its been 5 years, well to me it feels like it was yesterday, you guys expect me to be happy again, to find a hobby, do something amazing with my life, I can’t! For god’s sake that was my husband. He wasn’t just a man that I wanted to pass and we’re done, he was like my other half! I could depend on him and he could depend on me and I failed him.” You slouched in your chair sobbing. Steve wrapped his arms around you, “no don’t think that way. This wasn’t your fault.”
“I wish it would of been me instead of him. Steve, I have a baby room and baby clothes, things. We were gonna try. I was so happy, finally having our little family like I always dreamed of and now, its not a dream, its a nightmare. A nightmare that I am supposedly supposed to keep living. Steve, I don’t want to live anymore! I don’t want this life! I just want it all to end!”
Steve soothed you as he embraced you harder and for as long as you needed him. You cried onto his shoulder, needing that comfort.
He stayed for the rest of the day there. Just having another person’s presence surprisingly aided you, but sadly he had to leave. You said your goodbyes as he left but he paused, “y/n if you ever need me for anything or just need someone there, someone to talk to, please, don’t ever hesitate to call me. Please.” He almost sounded as if he was begging. You, again, hugged him, “thank you Steve.”
Tumblr media
A couple of days later you got the call.
You brought all your items together. Notebooks your husband told you about that were very important. They were about the stones, especially the one he gave up. It was all nostalgic. You remember Stephen he was your teacher. He taught you everything about magic and alternate dimensions. Grinning as you saw a picture you threw of him and you along with his old things, “don’t worry baby, we might get somewhere.” You got yourself ready and ran as fast as you could to the Avengers facility.
The call was from Steve, he said they might have found a way to bring back all those people.
You were so quick, so fast. Could this be real? Could this be possible? Could you really end up seeing your husband again?
You ran, everything disheveled as you entered. Slamming the door open, “tell me!”
They explained to you everything calling the plan the “Time Heist”. Scott Lang said he had experienced the Quantum Realm so he had knowledge about it. He told you that it may help them go back in time and retrieving all the Infinity Stones from major historical events. It all made sense. The lost pieces you were trying to stick into the puzzle piece were found.
“So you’re telling me this time voodoo whatever might actually work?” Scott placed his hands on your shoulders chuckling, excited, “that is what I’m saying y/n. We may be able to bring back all of them.”
Feeling light headed you sat down. Your mind was racing. Its been so many years. All this time you imagined there was never a possibility of seeing Stephen again and now you were told it might actually happen.
“Y/n are you okay?” Tony asked concerned.
Tears started to drip down your cheeks and you bit your fist, “we need to do this...”
Tumblr media
Fighting alongside the Avengers trio leaving behind the feelings of lost from your friend Natasha you head straight for Thanos.
Using your powers you lift him up and smash him against stones.
“Guys were losing!” You shouted as you suddenly saw the army of Thanos storming toward you four. You held your breath as you were ready to defend humanity, ready to fight till your last breath. Until you heard a voice on Steve’s ear piece. You turned around, shocked, “could it be...”
All of a sudden Sling Ring portals start opening and one by one people that have been affected by the Snap appear.
“Oh my god, Steve!” You start laughing. Your hand atop your mouth so surprised. “It worked! It worked!” As you saw those you thought you had lost forever you remember that special someone. “Wait then that means...”
As the next portal opens up out comes you husband, Stephen.
You feel as if you are floating as you see him. Feeling his and your presence only in this terrifying war, in this world. Not caring about the battle that is about to begin you and Stephen make eye contact. You see a tear fall from his face as you pick up your cloak and sprint to him. You trip over your cape a couple of times but that does not stop you. As you get closer Stephen runs to you as well and the two of you embrace, you almost tripping him from the force. Stephen clutches onto your head as you rest your face into his chest, sobbing. “I thought I would never see you again. I missed you so much.”
“I know my love, I know,” he kissed your forehead as he rocked you back and forth. “I’m sorry for all the pain that I’ve caused you.”
You held onto him tighter, afraid of letting go. “It doesn’t matter anymore. All that matters is that you are here with me.” You felt a tear press against your cheek and you realized it was not yours it was Stephen. You backed away and looked directly at his face. Opening his tear filled eyes, the portals light gleaming against his orbs, he sniffles as he smiles, “...my love...”
You touch his cheeks lightly and bring your forehead against his, “we are one again Stephen.” You two share a kiss that was so passionate and full of love. All those days and nights crying alone were days of the past. You now looked forward to your future. A future with your husband.
Tumblr media
(not mine! do not own!)
You had a grip onto his clothing and you two giggled after the kiss just enjoying each others company. “I love you Mr. Strange.”
“And I love you more Mrs. Strange.”
You two held hands as you all prepared for battle. As husband and wife, the power couple you and Stephen kicked some a*s as you fought for not your life but your husband’s. Vowing that you would never let anything ever happen again to him.
Tumblr media
A life was lost that day. Everyone mourned the loss of Tony and previously Natasha. It was tough, they were everyone's friend. You thanked everyone for the sacrifices they made, without them you wouldn’t be able to have your husband beside you.
But just as a life was lost another life was born. You sat upon Stephen’s lap as you uttered only a few words that would completely change your lives, “guess what Stephen...I’m pregnant.”

Been catching up on the Doctor Strange comics. Some thoughts!
Love that Clea came back!!! It was so great seeing her and Stephen interact.
Pissed that Clea's gone already! I almost wish they hadn't brought her back. She was only around for those few issues so that they could completely erase her memories of Stephen and get rid of their connection, though these are comics we're talking about and I'm sure it'll be undone at some point. But for the forseeable future though, they've made sure she's not coming back. Which annoys the fuck outta me. Hell, they don't even have to be a couple, I would just like to see Clea back as some sort of regular character.
Fixing Stephen's hands is a very interesting route to take and I'm excited for it. They finally seem to be stepping a bit away from "Stephen's magic has large scale consequences" plot that most of the recent series have centered around. Although they haven't stepped away completely, considering the demon outright said that dumb "magic has a cost" mantra so we'll have a "dealing the hand healing's consequences" plot eventually. And probably sooner than I'd like. It's not that I hate the idea of magic having a cost, it just feels like they've been beating that plot horse for A While now and I'm getting bored of it.
Really loved the art in Volume 3 of the recent series, all of that trippy weird visuals in the mystical dimensions was my jam. Felt like classic Strange.
Also, they seem to be bringing back Stephen saying his spells! I'd have to compare with the rest of the recent series, but Volumes 3 and 4 seemed to have a lot more of "shield of the Seraphim" and "crimson bands of Cyttorak" and other spells being spoken. And fuck do I ever love it!
The first four issues of Surgeon Supreme have me interested. It's cool seeing him get to be a surgeon again. Also I like seeing him attempt to balance his "regular" and mystical jobs.
Looks like they're setting up a romance between Stephen and Hagen, not sure how I feel about it yet. I'd just like to know more about her I think. Also, Waid hit the "Doctor Strange must be alone" button damn hard relatively recently with the whole arc with Clea. And he's the one writing this series so it's not like a new writer has come in and decided to ignore that bit. Which makes me worried that a romance with Hagen will lead to unnecessary drama that leads in Hagen being hurt/killed and more of the "must be alone" bullshit. We'll see how it plays out I suppose.
I do like the secondary plot they've got going on Dr. Druid, that's definitely fun and I'm curious what exactly is going on with him.
The main plot I'm a little frustrated with, only because I find it hard to believe it took 3 issues for Stephen to figure out that his mystic forge was broken into. Him not being able to immediately figure out who did it is fine, but it taking him so long to figure out it happened in the first place? It feels like they made him stupid/oblivious for plot reasons. So I'm kinda rolling my eyes at him just now figuring it out, but whatever, the plot is otherwise interesting.
I also checked out Strange Academy and it's fun! Magic school? Awesome! Students from different realms? Fantastic! Guest teachers in the form of Scarlet Witch/Nico Minoru/Hellstrom/etc? Perfect! Kid Dormammu being a prep in a polo and popped color?? Pure absurdity, love it! Excited to see where the series goes.

Sorceress [Peter Parker x Magic! Reader]
chapter one
warnings: implied abuse (aka experimentation because the reader has powers), killing of innocent people? (if you couldn’t tell, i’m new to writing fanfiction and have no idea how to write warnings), endgame joke (endgame has not happened and is not going to be canon in this fanfiction; i just made a little joke)
summary: dr. strange and you go to the sanctum and have a conversation. you explain what happened at the asylum, and he explains who he is, basically. it’s a very fluffy, yet minorly angsty chapter.
a/n: hi everyone. please don’t hate me because i’m a lazy bitch and procrastinate everything. this chapter took forever to write, i know, and i’m so sorry it took so long. i literally barely ever have motivation, and that’s the tea. anyway, i’m actually pretty proud of this chapter! it explains the prologue and introduces you to the characters and how i’m going to write them! i’m also sorry that peter isn’t going to show up for awhile,,,,i need to give backstory and build up the reader’s relationships with strange and wong! so, he probably won’t show up for a few more chapters?? i have a basic idea of where i want this story to go and if my planning works out right, then he should show up soon :) enjoy the chapter and please comment/reblog! i love to receive feedback!
The man told me his name is Stephen Strange. (Honestly, the name suits him very well). He also said that he possesses the same magical abilities that I do. This surprised me. There are others like me?
Stephen said he would explain more when we arrived at “The Sanctum.”
Should I have trusted him? I’m still unsure. Yet, I needed a safe place to stay, and he was providing me with the perfect opportunity. I also need answers as to exactly what I am, and it seemed that Stephen could help me.
177A Bleecker Street. I guess this is “The Sanctum” he was talking about?
I was in awe. Taking in these new surroundings, I looked around in curiosity. Sanctum was a very good name for the building as it seemed to be a rather peculiar place. It had a vintage feeling to it; almost taking you back in time (oof sorry throwback to endgame lol) with its ancient furniture and antique interior.
We sat across from each other on two seats by the fireplace. I nervously fumbled with my hands which is something I tend to do when feeling anxious.
Stephen told me he would help me, but was he telling the truth?
“Okay, I’m assuming you want an explanation from me as to who I am and how I know what happened?”
I nod.
“I possess the same magical abilities that you possess. You aren’t a witch or cursed or anything monstrous that those people in that dreadful place might have called you. Others can do the same things that you can. We are called Masters of the Mystic Arts. I am the Sorcerer Supreme of this Sanctum. Basically, I protect what resides here. This building contains relics, spellbooks, artifacts; all objects relating to the art we practice. As to how I knew what happened, well, I have a radar which tells when incidents are caused by magic, and it led me straight to you. Now, would you like to tell me what exactly happened?”
I listened in wonder and relief, finally learning that I wasn’t an abomination, a freak of nature. There were others just like me.
I’m not alone anymore.
I decided that I was going to trust Stephen.
“It was an accident,” I started, “I didn’t mean to hurt anyone. Please, believe me.”
“I do,” he replied, faintly smiling, “You don’t really seem like the villain type.”
I let out a nervous laugh and continued, “The doctors liked to perform tests on me. They wanted to see where the source of my powers were and if they could somehow remove it. I tried to never use my powers when I was there. But, I think because I had bottled it up for so long, my powers, my anger, my...fear, I was bound to lose control someday. One minute, they were trying to hurt me; the next minute, I was under a pile of rubble. And...everyone around me was dead. I had no idea what to do. I knew if I stayed, something bad would happen to me. The police would show up and arrest me and take me somewhere even worse. So, I ran. I didn’t know where I was going; I just knew I had to get away.”
Stephen listened intently as I told my story. When I finished, there was just silence. Then, Stephen spoke.
“I’m sorry that happened to you. The only way I can reassure you is to tell you that no one is after you. Authorities are going to assume that no one survived. You’re safe now.”
Over the last few hours, I didn’t have much time to process everything that had happened today. The only thing on my mind had been escaping and hiding. Now that I was in a safe place and could finally try to relax, it started to hit me what I had done...which led to me bursting into tears.
This, of course, startled Stephen.
“I killed everyone that was there!” I exclaimed, now fully sobbing and barely catching my breath, “I-Innocent people were in that asylum, and I killed them because I w-w-was scared? That doesn’t make it right! A-And now their lives are over, all because of me, because I lost c-control, because I have these p-powers that I never even wanted!”
Stephen looked taken aback by my outburst. (Not that I could blame him; I mean, a teenage girl just started hysterically crying and admitting she killed a bunch of people. He’s probably never had to deal with this before.)
Yet, he still moved closer to me and rested a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
“This is going to sound completely cliche, but it wasn’t your fault,” he began, “You did lose control, and you couldn’t have stopped it. Because, whether we like it or not, our emotions tend to fuel our powers. You were scared, so you unconsciously protected yourself. You said yourself that you didn’t mean to do it. I’m not saying to get over it, but you cannot live in guilt. It wasn’t your intention to harm everyone, and that’s what truly matters.”
For someone who probably has no experience in comforting an upset teenager, he did a pretty good job. I just had to believe what he was telling me. I began to wipe away my tears.
“Okay,” I replied, “You made some good points. Thank you for...for comforting me.”
“You’re welcome, (Y/N).” He stood up from his chair and walked over to the phone attached to the wall. “Now, do you have anywhere you can stay? Any family to go to? I can give them a call.”
I stilled and replied, rather coldly, “No. My family put me there. I have nowhere to go.”
He thought for a moment.
“Well, I was actually going to ask you to come back, so I could teach you to control your magic. I guess you staying here would make it a lot easier.” He seemed to mutter that last sentence to himself.
“Wait,” I suddenly stood up, stunned by what he had just said, “You’re saying I can stay here? Me? A person you just met?”
“Why not? You’re just a teenager; you need a home, and we have plenty of room. You also need to learn about your abilities, and I would be glad to teach you. They don’t call me the Sorcerer Supreme for nothing.” He cracked a smile.
“I-I would love to! Oh my gosh, thank you so much. Wait, we?”
The front door opened, and an Asian man walked in, carrying two takeout bags.
“Okay, Strange, I brought your favorite since you constantly bother me about-” He paused suddenly, noticing that Stephen wasn’t the only one in the room. I awkwardly waved at him.
“We are going to need more food.”

I Don’t Need Your Protection
Tumblr media
Pairing: Loki x Reader // Words: 1673 // Ao3 Link
Author’s Notes: Sorry for not posting on time. :( This story also contains spoilers for Avengers Endgame. This is also a EVERYBODY LIVES AU.
Tumblr media
“Will you stop biting your nails? That’s not good for you,” Dr. Stephen Strange said to you. You took your nails out of your mouth and buried your hands in your sleeves.
“Sorry, Dad,” you sheepishly said as both of you exited out of the elevator on the Avengers Compound. You had just been accepted officially as an Avenger and were now meeting your father’s new apprentice. After everything the Avengers had been through, the new goal was only to protect the planet from global attacks.
You were incredibly talented at your own magic because of your father, but you also show something your father doesn’t have—psychic sight. Of course, your father had it too, but he conjured it. Your came naturally to you. You could hear many thoughts all at once or one at a time.
Tony Stark and Steve Rogers were more than happy to let you in on the team.
“I let the sixteen-year old kid join,” Tony laughed, shaking your hand. “What’s another kid?”
“Actually, I’m not a kid, I’m—
You were interrupted by your father who tapped your shoulder. Once you turned, you were faced with your father’s new apprentice. He was very tall. Very tall. His hair was long and dark. He had nice eyes. And oh my god? Was this man so handsome that you couldn’t form more eloquent thoughts? He had nice eyes? Are you fucking kidding?
You bit your lip. If your thoughts were this dumb, there’s no way you would be talking.
“Y/N, this is Loki,” your father said. “He’s my new apprentice. He will be living with us as well.” You held your breath. No. No, no, no, no, no. Your father never mentioned that. He didn’t say those words in that order. No, you must have misheard him.
Loki smiled down at you, taking your hand and putting his hand over yours. “I’ve heard incredible things about you. I hear you’re very talented at reading minds.”
You nodded, still keeping your mouth shut.
“May I test it? To see for myself?” Loki let go of you. He straightened his back and kept his eyes locked on yours. “Go ahead. Read my mind.”
You looked to your father who nodded back at Loki. “Go on. Show him.”
You closed your eyes and focused your energy on Loki. You would think the God of Mischief would have a mental block of sorts, but you reached his mind in seconds. His thoughts spoke only to you.
“Well, well, well, aren’t you a clever, sweet thing? Color me impressed, darling. Can your father hear us?” Loki thought. You shook your head. Loki laughed out loud and continued. “Well, then. Consider this our little secret, hm? I wouldn’t want your father knowing how pretty I think you are.”
You felt your stomach dropping and forced a smile.
“I believe, I’ve proved it,” you said to your father.
“She did!” Loki clapped his hands and laughed. “Your daughter is incredibly talented. Perhaps I’ll have two teachers in magic.”
“Soon,” Stephen said guiding the group of you towards a car waiting outside. “She’s not ready to teach just yet.”
Once Loki had the ropes of being Doctor Strange’s apprentice, his attention moved back to you. He often let you wander his mind openly to make his intentions clear.
“You look so lovely this morning.”
“Does your father lecture you this much?”
“If you can hear me, tap your fingers.”
“I read something that reminded me of you. I left it under your door.”
“If you’re wondering, yes I was looking at you like that.”
“Why does your father have horrible taste in movies?”
“As terrible as this film is, it lets my mind wander to more important things. Like the way you laugh at the terrible humor. I love your laugh.”
“Can you hum your favorite song? It’s very calming when you do that.”
“Are you alright? You haven’t said a word all day.”
“I know your father is yelling at me right now, but I don’t care. Let me take the blame.”
“After your father lectures me for the billionth time, could you take me to get this ice cream you keep telling me about?”
“I told you to bring a jacket with you, but you refused. Is that because you wanted my jacket? You clever girl.”
It wasn’t until you and Loki were sent out on an overnight mission that something happened. Of course, your father trusted both of you to gather information in New Asgard about new magic. It was much colder there than it was back in New York. You felt yourself freezing as soon as you stepped foot inside New Asgard.
“Come here,” Loki chuckled to himself. He lounged on the bed inside the guest home of one of Loki’s friends. You stood over the modest stove and tried to warm up.
“I’m fine,” you knew what he was suggesting. You suspected your rising embarrassment would warm you up soon.
“Come here,” he repeated. “I don’t bite unless you like it.”’
“Loki! Someone could hear us!”
“Your father’s not around, so who cares?” Loki smirked and closed in the space between you. “As far as I’m concerned we’re alone.” Safe to say, that night was filled with more body heat than you could ever imagine.
Loki and you tried to keep your relationship a secret, but you were quickly discovered when your father caught you both kissing in secret. He was less than enthused. You had always been his little girl, and to see you with a god made his skin crawl.
“He’s a God, not a man,” he complained to Thor. “I want him gone.”
“He’s harmless,” Thor assured him. “He has nothing but the best intentions for Y/N. Tis, I swear to—
“He uses magic to transport them to exotic places to do whatever couples—I don’t wanna think about it.”
“Loki cares for her. And she is old enough, maybe it’s time to let ‘your little girl’ go?” Thor suggested. Stephen Strange sent Thor into a void for a half hour to think about what he just said. Loki had spoiled you rotten by using magic for everything. Taking you to beautiful places around the world, making clothes that match his, sneaking into your room regardless what cock-blocking spell Stephen put on your door.
Tensions were higher than ever when Stephen found you sleeping in Loki’s arms. You woke up with a grip on your arm.
“Get off of her,” your father growled.
“I’m not doing anything to her. I was only stroking her hair. She needs to sleep,” Loki argued, keeping a hold on you. You opened your mouth to defend yourself until all three of you heard an urgent call from Jarvis.
There was a mission.
All three of you had been quiet the entire time. Every time Loki tried to hold your hand, Stephen would push him away with his magic. You only sat there, trying to deal with the mission at hand. Everyone had been called in because of a breach with SHIELD. Hydra agents were scattered in Russia trying to take the Tony’s new technology.
You dropped in first, letting your anger out by using magic to throw their bodies around. You hated all of this. You didn’t become an Avenger to be daddy’s little girl, and you certainly didn’t become an Avenger to meet boys either. You were gearing up for another hit until you felt a warm bubble form around you.
The bubble carried you behind your father who was attacking the men you planned to hurt. You started to yell at your father until the bubble moved again. This time it moved behind Loki who put a chain around the bubble to keep you near him. You watched your father retaliate by breaking the chain and having the bubble float near to him. Your body kept falling inside the bubble because both alpha males couldn’t focus on the fight in front of them.
You cursed to yourself and felt the angry energy surge inside of you. When the bubble burst, your body floated in the air. A singular, high-pitched noise rang throughout the Russian forest. All Hydra agents fell to their knees, weakened by the noise. Their ears started to bleed and most of them fell into the snow, unconscious.
When you descended to the ground, both Stephen and Loki immediately ran up to you only to be met with your wrath. You pushed their bodies away with an invisible force sending their bodies into deep snow.
The flight back on the jet was very peaceful and quiet for you. You had isolated yourself in a private room the entire time.
A week later after a peaceful solitude in the Sanctum, both men came to you slowly.
“After discussing somethings, we have realized a few things and we want to apologize,” Stephen said. Loki approached you with his hands up.
“I’m listening,” you said with venom in your mouth as you used a spoon to stir your tea.
“You’re grown up now. You’re mature enough to be with who you want to be with,” Stephen said, side-eying Loki. “And as long as you’re happy, I’m happy.”
“Good. You?”
“You do not need my protection,” Loki admitted. “I am not your knight in shining armor. I apologize for forcing my help onto you.”
“And?” you narrowed your eyes.
“We will get along from now on,” Stephen said for both of them. Loki nodded, slowly lowering his hands. You jumped off your seat with your tea and opened a portal filled with fire, pain, and a darkness that Stephen couldn’t identify.
“The next time any of you get the idea that I’m your princess who needs your help, remember I can throw you in here anytime for as long as I want. Understand?”
That was the moment Doctor Strange realized how powerful his daughter truly was.
That was also the moment Loki fell in love with you. How deliciously dangerous you were indeed.

Warnings: Brief fight, reader is a bit of an arsehole
“You’ll have a challenge with that one.”
Stephen stopped in the corridor, frowning as he looked around for a moment before he saw Wong.  “What?”
Wong nods to the door that he was heading towards.  “You’ll have a challenge with that one.”  He repeated.
He glances at the door that he’d been heading towards.  “What are you talking about?”
With a shrug, Wong starts off in the opposite direction.  “She got in this morning, comes in every now and again to recharge herself, she’s very talented but doesn’t really get along with anyone, so, good luck.”
Stunned, Stephen watches Wong quickly walk away before he looks back at where he was going and shakes his head.
Once getting into the room, it takes him only a moment to spot you in a corner, buried in a book, looking neither interested nor disinterested and he found that he couldn’t read you like he could most people.
He thought for a moment for a moment about introducing himself, but with Wong’s warning in his mind, he decided to leave it for the moment, returning his own book and looking for another.
The hair on the back of his neck rose as he felt your eyes on him.
“You’re him then.”
Stephen blinked and turned back to look at you.  “I’m…him?”
“The new Sorcerer Supreme.”  You said indifferently.  “Funny, thought you’d have more of an impression about you.”
Not entirely sure how to take that, he just stared at you.
You shrug and go back to your book.  “Guess we can’t all get what we want.”
Stephen frowned, not entirely sure how to take it.  “I’m Dr Stephen Strange if that’s what you’re trying to find out.”
“I wasn’t, but okay.  Great to meet you Stephen.”
The way you said it, he knew that it wasn’t genuine, if anything, you sounded even less impressed than you did before.
“And you are?”
You sigh heavily and snap your book shut and, if he wasn’t mistaken, rolled your eyes as you stood and stepped towards him, holding out your hand.
“I’m Y/N Y/L/N, if you really must know.”  He awkwardly takes your hand to shake it.  “And trust me, we’ll get along a lot better if I’m just left alone.”
Stephen watches you leave the room, book under your arm, and he can’t help but feel as if he’d lost some sort of battle against you.
There is a crunch, causing him to turn, Wong standing there watching.
“How long have you been standing there?”  Stephen asked, annoyed.
“Enough to watch that.”  Wong said, taking another bite of his apple.  “She like you.”
“What?”
Wong smiles.  “When she doesn’t like someone, and I mean more than usual, she ignores them, doesn’t interact at all, so the fact that you got something, on a first go, is impressive.”
Stephen stares at him for moment before shaking his head and leaving the room.
He had a few more run-ins with you over the next couple of days and it didn’t really improve his opinion of you.  The only person he saw that you were remotely friendly too, was Wong, who even got you to laugh at something, and it just made him more unsettled on how to deal with you.
That was until he saw you training.
He still wasn’t sure what possessed him to do it, but he found himself heading towards you, putting his cloak to the side and looking along the section of weapons.
“Do you mind if I join you?”
You looks at him, for a moment, unsure, but when you see the same weapon in his hand that was in yours, you nod.
“Sure, if you think you can keep up.”
Stephen quickly learnt that you weren’t one to take it easy, your hits hard and fast, and he also saw how gifted you were in magic, he was barely prepared for some hits, and it wasn’t long before the two of you were sweating with the effort of keeping up with the other.
You were getting frustrated, that was easy to tell, and in that frustration you were starting to get sloppy with your moves, something that Stephen felt more than satisfied in using against you to get the upper hand.
There was a sharp crack of magic through the air and you were sent flying back, landing hard with a loud thud and lying still for a few moments to catch your breath before you sit up and glare at him.
“What the hell was that?”  You snapped.
“That was me teaching you a lesson.”  Stephen said simply, lowering his weapon and letting the magic fade. “You should know better than to use your emotions like that with magic, it makes it a lot harder to control and leaves you open to attack.”
You get to your feet and Stephen finds himself on guard at the angry look you were giving him.  “Is that so? And what gives you the right to do such a thing?”
Stephen takes a moment to observe you and he felt that only one thing was going to be a satisfactory answer.
“I'm better than you are; it's as simple as that.”
The silence that followed drew on for a few moments as you both processed what he said.
Finally, your body relaxed and you give a small awkward laugh, wiping the sweat from your brow.  “Right, that’s why you’re sorcerer supreme.”
“That’s not what I meant.”  Stephen said, frowning a little at the change in you.
“No, I know,” You said, giving a small smile.  “I forget myself sometimes; it’s hard to hate people and then also get along with them too, you know, to work out the ones that I don’t actually hate.  Guess I’m a little grateful that you literally kicked some sense back into me.”
Stephen seemed a little unsure but he nods.  “You’re welcome, I guess.”
“Please, accept my apologies Stephen,” You said.  “I guess I’ve been tensing more than unwinding since I got here and I don’t think that that has helped my impression of you, even with Wong putting in a good word.”
“Well, I’m glad he can do that sometimes.”  He finally found himself relaxing, the air clearing between the two of you.  “And if you want to clear the air a bit more, I’m sorry too, for not really knowing what to do when we first met.”
You shrug it off.  “Most people don’t, but I’m happy to prove them wrong sometimes.”  You laugh a little more.  “Do you mind if we start this again?  I’d hate to think I’m on the wrong side of the Sorcerer Supreme.”
Stephen chuckles and holds out his hand.  “Please call, me Stephen.”
You smile and take it.  “Y/N.”
Unbeknownst to the two of you, Wong watches from the other side of the courtyard and shakes his head.  “They are both hopeless.”
