give me a sec to ramble about childe theories

i basically just want to say i love every single one of it? childe paralleling to alice in wonderland story as alice himself, and the fact that his codename is CHILDe is relevant in the sense that alice in wonderland is a child coming-of-age story

the thing about biblical parallels too, that he will me remade into something new and more powerful? there is no denying the moment he scratched neuvi's cheek that this arc is a sign for childe to get stronger. the question is, how strong? and if he parallels jesus' rebirth, what does that mean for childe? it's important to note that jesus DOESNT return to the living, he REMAINS in the heavens. does childe ascend and remain in celestia? unlikely, but i do wonder what it means on a story level...

both of these parallels have themes of rebirth and maturity?? especially with childe constantly being alluded to celestial objects, i genuinely wonder whats going to happen to him? at this point im Sure childe isnt the whale seen at the end of the AQ, but what kind of mortal stirs such a powerful being from slumber... unless childe is with a latent power of something as powerful as the whale

on the matter of rebirth, i saw ongoing discussion that we may see one of childe's personalities (ajax, childe, tartaglia) may become more prominent, or recede entirely in a different perspective. that he'll undergo another change that will affect his personality again. what kind of person can bear such mind-altering effects? considering childe seems like he skipped the coping period of post-abyss ptsd, how far will his mind go until it breaks?

now this brings me to my next point. there is a leak about how descenders arent necessarily otherworld beings. the exact description from the leaks are shoddily translated so this is tentative thoughts, but it mentions beings with great willpower can become descenders. if so, considering everything that childe has gone through... does he fit this description? does he become a descender? is this what the bible parallel theory means when (ironically) childe may ascend?

If protags from now on are as blank as the ScVi kids I'm gonna be so sad!! Obviously protags are and will always be player inserts but some of them clearly have an Energy that influences people's perceptions of them. So much of my interpretation of Lyra is drawn from how different her clothes are from other protags. That made me read her as someone who's not afraid to dress how she likes, which I extrapolated into her being unfiltered and authentic to herself. The school uniform stripped those kids of any personality!!

so it was pointed out to me that childe is constantly referenced as a star and

is he... connected to the sky being fake?? there have been theories before that childe saw the " true sky " / the abyss (questionable) and that's why it caused such a drastic change to him

- there are two AQs he appears in that reference stars, "a new star approaches" and "to the stars shining in the depths." drawing attention to the latter, the end of the next AQ shows his eyes with LIGHT to them after seeing the narwhal. he's either the star, his SHINING eyes are the stars, or the narwhal itself could be

- dottore and scaramouche know that the sky is fake, and one thing we know about their relationship is that dottore has sent scara on expeditions into the abyss.....

- from the splash art leaks, the narwhal itself looks like a reference of stars, especially inside its mouth

it's too soon to say anything really, even i'm pretty confused where this whale's origins could be??? but i am SO invested
