u ever think about iruka wearing the hatake clan symbol? cause that idea lives in my mind rent free. (i've got a lot of opinions on naruto and i feel bad that im filling up your inbox :(()
If I have, it's been so long I forgot, so I gotta thank you for bringing it up! Iruka would rock the look, as he should. And there's all sorts of potential if he were to wear something with it by accident somehow... Or deliberately wearing it if they're together... I love this thank you
If I may add? Iruka's family doesn't (seem to) have one, but I'd dig Kakashi walking around wearing it if there were. Super ninja walking around with a teacher's family crest... the chaos... the sense of belonging... the pining if it's a similar situation...
And omg don't feel bad!! I thrive off attention 😌

I like symbolism in my art so I put it into the lord obito dark couple sketches
With kakashi & obito they stand side by side as “equals.” however with kakashi’s collar and closed off position it shows how he submits to obito. his collar is fancy and custom made because obito wants the best for him, but it looks like a dog’s because he’s trained to obey obito. it’s there as a reminder for kakashi to remember who his superior is. kakashi wears a jūnihitoe because it was worn by high ranking ladies in japan, and he could be seen as the “lady” of konoha. his headdress is made so that it shows a combination of the hatake clan symbol and the sharingan tomoes. the tomoes surround his clan symbol as a sign of ownership.
With konan & shizune, konan stands above shizune in both rank and power. shizune is defeated and offers no resistance to her new position. shizune does not wear a collar because she’s less likely to act out, but she wears the flower in the her so konan can keep watch on her. konan’s paper shows just how extensive her power is, and the way she’s positioned represents how she won’t hesitate to trap shizune if she shows signs of rebelling. shizune wears a kurotomesode, a formal kimono for married women because she’s married to konan, albeit against her will.
With mizuki & iruka they stand next to each other because they were once “equals,” but mizuki’s arm around iruka shows the evolution of their ranks. mizuki has power over iruka and doesn’t hesitate to move against him and show him off as a trophy to others, thus the bruises and bitemarks on his exposed skin. his collar has tiger stripes on it because he was turned into a tiger after drinking something made from his cursed seal and i thought that was funny. iruka is chained because mizuki takes pleasure in ordering him around and showing him who’s boss, and the latch on the end symbolizes how he sometimes literally can’t go anywhere. he wears a furisode because he and mizuki are not married.
