FF14-KHX[chi] collab
I lie awake thinking of the KHX-FF14 collab that never was and how we could have gotten a Chirithy minion and a gummi ship mount for FF14, while KHX would have gotten like outfits of the leaders of the Grand Companies and some Scions medals.
FF14 plotline on one hand would involve chasing after a mysterious figure in a black coat who summons monsters with a book, one of the summoned entities called Book Sora went against instructions and teamed up with the Warrior of light guided by a Chirithy. A Darkside trial and a secret hard solo duty later, Book Sora gets to stay in Eorzea by putting his newly formed heart in a mammet crafted by Cid. An Ascian thinks on how the connection between the past keyblade wielders and the warriors of light that turned the tide could have been formed despite the centuries separating them and wonders if the Mysterious Figure’s schemes are to blame. The secret ending reveals the Mysterious Figure thinking about how nice it was of the current wielder of Master’s Defender to let him borrow the Book of Prophecies for a while, shame it’s to be given back but the time to pull out the box from the Keyblade Graveyard hasn’t come yet.
The KHX plotline on the other hand would have keykids investigate a buggy world conjured by the Book of Prophecies that bears a strange resemblance to Eorzea. The players would contend with raid boss heartless based on the Ultima Weapon, Bahamut and Alexander by partying up with the Grand Companies, warriors of light and the Scions. At the end of the event the game would cut to a scene in which Luxu ponders about the Ascians recognizing his keyblade meaning he’s got a date with Eorzea centuries in the future. As the screen fades to black he complains about always being stuck with the icky jobs.
