the summer of august… balmy evenings, golden overcasts from sun rays, clammy humid air, and warm, lofty breezes at nightfall. ideal weather to spend a weekend away with your favorite person, escaping the depths of reality to reset + recharge. this was long overdue since both you and jungkook are always cooped up in work, the quality time you get to share nowadays has progressively dwindled. soon as jungkook found out you two had aligning free time he made plans almost instantly for a romantic getaway. he (said in his own words) found the perfect distraction to take your minds off everything and whisk all your problems away.

well at least that’s what he’s tried getting you to believe so far..

but you weren’t sold just yet— at the rate he’s driving and the stilled guise of confusion on his face, something seemed alarmingly off to you. you didn’t notice at first but once you recognized one of the landmarks previously seen half an hour ago, it doesn’t take much for you to put 2 and 2 together. he may or may not be totally lost right now and is trying to act completely unfazed. you hear him mutter a string of curses lightly under his breath, he seemed to be frustrated by something but not quite really sure what.

“hmm.. are we almost there yet koo?” you ask softly, resting your head against the window, eyes drearily fluttering. it concerns you when he doesn’t reply, instead he continues focusing on the road— this only puzzles you more since he was just talking your ears off moments before. “uhm, hellooo earth to jungkook? you can hear me right?” you reiterate, turning slightly to face his direction. he snaps out of his trance for only a second to vaguely address you. “yeah.” it’s unlike him to be this quiet with you, especially not when he was the one most excited about this trip, he’d send you daily reminders and even had a whole countdown for it. you had to get to the bottom of this immediately.

one thing about jungkook is he hates to admit when he’s wrong, especially in front of you. he ensured that he knew exactly where you guys were going and insisted on you not doing an ounce of driving, 4 hours wasn’t gonna kill him. “you’re my princess, and princesses belong in passenger seats only!” he’d argue in response to you wanting to help. he wasn’t budging on his stance either, every time you offered to take the wheel he’d strike a deafening glare. you sigh while watching him continue to struggle, his gaze darting back and forth from the road onto the gps of his phone. that’s when you see yet again another familiar sign up ahead, at this point he has no idea where he’s going. “babe, are we los-”

“don’t say that.” jungkook quickly cuts you off, “we’re not lost, i just- am having some technical difficulties with the directions is all!” it finally took him looping around in circles for a third time to get him to acknowledge his plight. “okay maybe a little bit…” you shake your head at his stubbornness, always thinking he can do everything on his own. “i think we should stop for a minute to recuperate.” you suggest, checking out the window to see nothing but endless nature and not a single other car in sight. neither of you had a single clue where you were. jungkook finally caves and pulls over, pandering his next move. an idea comes to mind for him instantly, “oh! i know who could help, i’ll call namjoon! he’ll know what to do in situations like this.” right…because calling your friends when you’re lost in the woods is the best solution at hand.

he attempts to call but is met with yet another disappointment. “fuck, i only have one bar..” you check your phone only to see you had no better luck. “my phone isn’t even picking up a signal around here..” this couldn’t get any worse— stranded in the middle of no man’s land and having zero capability to communicate with the outside world; technically, this was what jungkook was going for but not to this extreme extent. he huffs in frustration, “shit- well i guess we’re screwed now thanks to me.” “maybe if you’d let me help earlier none of this would’ve happened!” you impishly gloat, never letting him live down the fact he never listens. he flashes a pout along with the most dramatic eye roll, unwilling to give you any satisfaction of being in the right. “yeah yeah, whateva.”

an awkward silence passes by until jungkook speaks again, “soo like.. what’re we gonna do now…” “beats me,” you say nonchalantly, “should we go explore the woods?” the curious cat in you is need of a little adventure. “isn’t that a bit risky? you never know what’s out there!” he wasn’t too keen on your idea but you’d be able to get him to fold quickly. “ugh, you watch too many of those horror movies. we’ll be fine, just c‘mon!” you chirp, getting out the car and making a dash into the forest. “wait- slow down.. wait for me!!”

The street sign reads third avenue as jo awkwardly looks down at his shoes, the grip of his book bag stronger than before once you stand beside him with a phone in your hands, mindlessly scrolling as you wait for the bus to come. It’s like the birds chirp happily, the wind blowing through your hair once you enter the scene, the light of your aura beaming down on the boy so hard that he’s fallen, unable to tell right from left.

There’s no use telling you his name, or what he likes to do in his free time whenever he thinks about you, knowing that there would be another guy that's more assertive than him, someone who's less shy. Yet he hates longing for you from afar, when you don't even know that he exists – when he doesn’t actually know you. Maybe in another life, he could get to know you, he could know your favorite treats and surprise you with them daily. He could hold your hand, and look into your eyes, letting the smile slip from his lips without having to hide.

But in this life, he’d rather coward in a corner than to embarrass himself, letting his heart be consumed by the feeling of you, beating himself up later for falling a little too deep. So now he daydreams for your presence, longs for the few seconds of interaction, heart skipping for the moment you do make eye contact.. but beating a little faster when you maintain your gaze, taking a step forward toward him, as if trying to tell him that it’s okay, that he could talk to you. Whenever the group accompanies you on your shopping trips to the grocery store, you find yourself running up and down the aisles with Jisung as Chan checks off your grocery list with Minho. It was fun to be around Jisung!

🚏 sun & moon: To put it simply, Felix needs to exist for you to feel sane. Without him, your days often feel off balance and gloomy, literally. It feels as if Felix’s smile alone can outdo the sun in every way possible. You have Felix to come along and brighten your day. He is always up to something, whether it be baking you 100 cookies for you to enjoy with him or snuggling up close to you in his bed as you drift off into sleep. It feels as if Felix didn’t exist; there would be no reason for you to live. What is the use of the moon if there is no sun?

🚏 siblings: It was way too easy to get on Seungmin’s nerves. Though, his chaotic energy was also one to get on your nerves after a minute or so. The vibe with Seungmin was super different from the rest of the members. With him, it just felt natural to be your most honest self. Your time together was spent in silence if he wasn’t trying to get you to shove him to get you in trouble with Chan. Sometimes, it genuinely did feel like Seungmin was your brother. He would tag along with you on your nightly trips to the convenience store, and other times he’d bring you your favorite ice cream cone.

🚏 soulmates: Being the closest in age to Jeongin meant you two probably had the most in common. You both bonded over your interest in fashion and current fashion trends you could both try and execute. He was your best friend before you met any of the other boys. You knew him like the back of your hand. If you weren’t hanging around Hyunijn, you were definitely annoying Jeongin. Despite Jeongin’s apparent distaste for skinship, he was always willing to let you cuddle up to him whenever you wanted. On the days Jeongin was feeling a bit more cuddly, you would always catch him dozing off as a movie played in the background.

This took me about 3000 years to finish but FINALLY she's here. It's a little self-indulgent with the 'friendship types' being based off of what I feel with skz but...... still Very Soft still Very Enjoyable.

Cracks … 🚏

cracks show on the development of this being

internal cracks appear upon every source of why I am who I am & also how I am

becoming in this time span

from childhood memories , misunderstandings of love , society & the high standards it holds up

just like the bridges that hold tons & tons of pounds daily spiraling in a thousands directions & streets

full of potholes , bumps & cracks, still standing up so strongly

yet theses crack of mine all reside in the inner deep , the foundation not everyone sees

this external may look like I am freshly painted concrete , but to me I feel I need a reconstruction of my foundations badly

imperfections eating away at me , i never wish theses cracks to leak on those who don’t deserve my bleed …

I say I’m sorry in advance if I’m not what one may seem

I’m trying my best to understand what that , I even means

imperfect is the truest me

cracking with every decision I make , crumbling with every move I’ve made not the good ones , the mistakes most days I’d rather sit still

& just wait for things to come into play so I don’t have to feel or think of a thing

although even in stillness, I feel every little thing

resorting to music to ease the pains

it allows me to fill the cracks as it hears my subconscious words without me saying it

& it sees me & my cracks without me displaying it , holding my cracks together better than anyone has , even I

I feel warm in the moments I know someone or something understands they way I work, not sympathy

I am aware that cracks are prone to happen in this life as nothing that happens to us is something we really choose , unless we really do choose that path of life …

but something’s even the painful ones are just meant too happen, even in disguise

without our judgment on how it should’ve happened

I am cracked like a egg that was almost fully cooked but wasn’t , harshly thrown onto, stone cold pavement

some pieces are still together & others are far away from home

unintentionally I’ve taken most of the blame for the mess that was made even from the things that were already on my plate , on my life’s chapter & page

I know I don’t deserve to carry others burdens on my soul

pouring into myself is the best thing for me to do but the hardest as first, I must stop my bleed

to truly feel put together, peace

every eggshell of me broken into micro pieces

mixed into all the things ive dealt with & been through especially the things I never speak …

I am open for change yet at times I am scared of the new , what will I be , this time or again

& I know I can’t take back those old pieces , experiences of me

learning theses deep cracks i see ,

it is to find new things of myself to replace the space , cuts & openings

cracking while also replenishing is a process that’s apart of me even when I am healing

pure love relies in my embrace, always

i am still a young cracked woman with mistakes & parts of herself to remake

don’t dare to believe my cracks equal to weakness , they equal to the strength I’ve endured to manage through the damages & burns , to become eternal in spiritual ways
