hi!! i saw that you write for some dgs characters!! i've been looking for someone who does for a long time and i'm glad i finally found someone! do you mind if i request headcanons for both sherlock and barok with an s/o who's shy in public but when they're home they're more cuddly and talkative?? they/them pronouns for the s/o please. if not then that's okay!! thank you and have a nice day!! ♡

I will give you all the headcanons you want, don’t you worry.

And don’t worry pal! I always use they/them pronouns unless I’m asked to write for a specific set of pronouns; I’ll put this here for anyone to read but I’m genuinely happy to write for all pronouns, including neopronouns, if that’s what is asked of me.

Also, I’m definitely not drawing on my own behaviours in public for this, no siree, couldn’t be me.

🔎Sherlock Holmes🔍

🔎 One thing Sherlock absolutely loves about S/O is how much the two of them can talk to each other, just about random stuff.

🔎 The two of them can spend hours at a time wrapped in each other’s arms while S/O goes on and on about ideas that they’ve had, with Sherlock doing his fair share of contributing to the overall conversation.

🔎 On days where Sherlock isn’t doing so great and he gets into a depressive state. S/O is there to improve his mood with as many cuddles as he wants, and even if he doesn’t feel like talking, nothing would make his day better than for S/O to keep talking about their ideas and feelings. It ensures that he still has that routine in his day which would just make him feel better.

🔎 But one thing that even he isn’t blind to is the fact that even though S/O is more than happy to talk his ears off at home, they're a completely different person out in public.

🔎 They are a lot more reserved, often standing off to one side and looking away while Sherlock talks to people.

🔎 This mood change would have been a bit of a shock to Sherlock at first. He would be quite concerned but would keep that silly and amicable persona up while he helps to bring them into the circle of conversation.

🔎 If this doesn’t work, he’d finish the conversation he was having before quickly pulling S/O to one side where it's just the two of them so that he can check if they’re okay. Talk to me, my dear. I’ve already deduced that there must be something the matter, you look a little bit peaky. Come on pet, tell me what’s wrong, ey?”

🔎 Sherlock would take that moment to be serious as he pulls S/O in for a hug just so they know that he’s there for them. Whether S/O reciprocates the physical affection or not may depend on what exactly causes them to be so quiet in public, but you can bet that once Sherlock knows that something is troubling S/O, he’ll do all that he can to help.

🔎 After they return home, Sherlock would sit them down in his armchair and make them a cup of tea, after which he'd talk to them about whatever came to mind, just like they do for him.

🔎 Sherlock is A-okay with his S/O being more of a homebody. As long as they are happy, that’s all he could ever want.

🍷Barok van Zieks🍷

🍷 Barok is probably pretty quiet at home if he has work to do. But if S/O is pretty talkative and clingy at home, then he wouldn’t mind too much, as long as they aren’t intentionally being too much of a distraction.

🍷 But the moment that he finishes his work, he’d probably want to cuddle up with S/O anyway. He’s always up for partaking in intelligent conversation, too.

🍷 He’d be rather concerned when he realised just how stand-offish S/O became in public.

🍷 He can completely sympathise with the fact that social events can be tedious. Especially when having to deal with constant gossip from other members of the bourgeoisie.

🍷 Unfortunately, there are certain behaviours that one must exhibit while in the company of other nobles. So it might be a little while before Barok can excuse both himself and S/O from their present company.

🍷 But trust me, the moment that he is alone with S/O, he will be getting to the bottom of what’s bothering them. He doesn’t care how long it takes or what he’ll have to do to get them to open up about it; he’s sorting out the issue and he’s doing it now.

“My lamb, please tell me what is on your mind. You are quite unlike yourself, what’s the matter?”

🍷 If S/O’s behaviour had been caused by somebody, then Barok would want to solve the dilemma as quickly as he could so that he could make them happy. There aren’t many who don’t fear his reputation, and as much as he despises it, he’d use it to ensure that no one was acting in any kind of derogatory way towards S/O.

🍷 If S/O’s shyness was just due to a social phobia (as it would have been called in the early 1900s), then he’d try his best to be somewhat comforting. It may not be easy, but he’d speak to them calmly and make sure that they had a way to escape the situation if need be.

🍷 Once they return home and S/O’s personality returns to how it normally is, he’d spend more time talking to them when they wanted to. Seeing S/O acting so shyly in the public sphere would make him very grateful for how open they are with him!

Let’s be honest here, he probably already knew but was trying not to reach a conclusion without you telling him-

He’s very supportive of you, though! He tries to do anything he can to make you feel comfortable

He probably got you an entire new wardrobe to replace any feminine clothing you didn’t want to wear anymore (he worked extra hard on solving cases for it!)

Some of the clothes had patches of the flag on them!

Got you a few binders, as well! He tried to get some that he thought you would like design-wise

His usual timidness evaporates once someone misgenders or deadnames you:

Overall, he tries to do the best he can to support you <3

Chiaki:

When you come out to her, you might have to explain it to her... she doesn’t really have knowledge on most things

Once you do, though, she’s really proud of you for coming out! From what she can tell it is very hard finally coming out to someone, especially a person who you are close to, so she wants to be there and support you!

Bought you a few pins and stickers with the flag on them

She will steal any and all of your new hoodies and jackets... she probably bought a few for you just so she could wear them later

Got you a Space Invaders binder, I'm sorry but I don’t make the rules-

Her usual tiredness fizzles away once someone misgenders or deadnames you:
