based on @glassknee's post and @notevenalittle1294's addition, i present to you: the sims endbringer mod, pho style (but not really, this is a fictional sims forum)
♦ Topic: [Self-promo] Endbringer Mod In: Boards ► Modding FKNSHJ (Original Poster) Posted On Apr 20th 2012: Hi all. 🙂 I’m excited to share this mod I’ve been working on. It involves randomized Endbringer attacks. By default they’re fairly more common than they are in real life, happening maybe once every ten in-game years, but if you look at read_me.txt in the downloads I’ve enclosed information on how to alter the probability and how to trigger specific Endbringers as well as how to make them easier or harder to defeat. Besides that I also included CC and a few Easter eggs that won't affect your gameplay.

►termina2 (2011 Sim Comp Finalist) Replied On Apr 20th 2012: whoa, so cool :D i dont play with my sims much so ill try activating some endbringer attacks and see how it goes. im pretty bad at coding tho... ^_^
►tritebuilds (2011 Build Comp Semi-Finalist) Replied On Apr 20th 2012: Hey what the fuck? Endbringers aren't a joke. You've clearly never seen the aftermath of an attack, this is making a mockery out of the trauma of Endbringer victims such as myself. Who even comes up with this stuff???
►hshater Replied On Apr 20th 2012: im getting my popcorn lmfao
►termina2 (2011 Sim Comp Finalist) Replied On Apr 20th 2012: trite let's keep this civil, please, don't swear...
►oldlostsea Replied On Apr 20th 2012: Wait, isn't this the guy who posted those *suggestive* images of Leviathan?

►oldlostsea Replied On Apr 20th 2012: +hshater Ok weirdo. It was on some PHO dupe (it has better information but worse moderation) and I only remember because it was weird + the random letter username stuck with me. I'll DM you the link once I find it.
►hshater Replied On Apr 20th 2012: +oldlostsea yeah yeah take your time. FJSKJ you've got anything to say for yourself?
►oldlostsea Replied On Apr 20th 2012: +hshater I found his account on the site and I downloaded the mod. Definitely the same person. The art style resemblance is uncanny. Sending you the link RN.

►hole (Moderator) (2011 Simp Comp Winner) Replied On Apr 20th 2012: @hshater It's a reference to Hole, the band, of which I made many Sims. You can see them in my Round 2 submission to last year's Sim Comp

“ I can remind you on any given night exactly why I’m the catalyst of professional wrestling “ Jay said as I watched from the locker room. He was pure switchable, the crowd eating out of his hands, he was sex personified.
He walked back through the locker room doors, “Hey Sweetheart “, a kiss on the top of my head , “ Having fun?” he asked grinning as my eyes never left his upper body. “ Do you want to remind me that you’re the catalyst? “ eyeing him up and down. “ Did you watch the match or did you just watch me?” his cocky smirk “What do you think?” I asked “Sweetheart, I think you heard my promo, and have been staring at me all night. If the look you’re giving me is any indication. Normally I’d remind you that my eyes are up here, but I’m curious what’s been on that mind of yours.”.His eyes locking on mine as he changed , his movements slow and methodical.“Sorry it’s been a minute, since I’ve seen you this …” I said biting my lip. “I’ll tell you later what I was thinking “standing up kissing him, what was supposed to be a quick kiss, turned into a kiss where we both were fighting for control, he relented. “Later it is then” a wink and a grin as he put his arm around me.
We stayed for the remainder of the show, and a little while at the after party. “ I still want to hear, what you were thinking about earlier.” he whispered in the crowded room. My face blushed “Jay stop” I said “ So prim and proper in public. Isn’t there a song about “a lady in the..” I play slapped him on the stomach. “You’ve been waiting all night for a reason to touch me. Let’s get out of here.”
In the back of the car, Jay pulled me close to him. His lips finding the spot behind my ear “are you going to tell me, or are you going to show me?” his voice warm in my ear. I sighed his lips moved down my neck. “What is that you want? I haven’t seen you this desperate for me in a while. So what was it tonight?” Come on Sweetheart tell me,” he said as the car came to a stop . He offered his hand as we got out of the car, and headed into the hotel and up the elevator.
In the elevator I don’t know who moved first, one moment we were inches apart the next we were melded together. I sank my teeth into his bottom lip, and his hands squeezed my ass. His mouth moved on mine, fighting for control, I relented,as the ding of the elevate signaled our floor . Walking down the hallway to our room, he grabbed my ass and playfully swatted at it.
“We are alone now, so I’m going to ask one last time, what was it tonight?”his voice low and warm, “ Jay, there was just something different about you, your confidence, your command of everything, the way your abs and arms looked in that cut down the middle shirt, that little peak of the V. I thought about grinding on your abs…” he cut me off with a kiss I knew how much he liked it when I praised him and his body, that he needed that.
There was nothing slow about the way that we disrobed I reached for my bra" leave it for now" he mumbled his mouth on my neck. “ Give me a second” he said climbing into bed, he situated himself laying flat on the bed, “Come here sweetheart, I know just what you need but first strip the rest of the way”his voice in full command I climbed into bed, “straddle me” I followed his direction situating my self above his very obvious hard on “No sweetheart move further up, there you go” as I hovered over his stomach his hands on my hips lowered me on to him his hands rocking my hips. “Go ahead fuck yourself by grinding on my abs” his hands encouraging me to move faster. “Jay I …” I felt myself get wetter as he guided my hips, “ I guessed right, this has been what you wanted all night. Now show me how much you want it.” He released my hips but I kept rocking, my hands firmly planted on his chest rocking harder, he flexed and released his abs, causing me to moan. “ How long have you thought about doing this. Making a mess on my abs , all you had to do was ask sweetheart. “ Jay I can’t” my words failing me. “ Yes you can, your doing so good for me. Your legs are squeezing me so tight” his voice a low rasp. “ Touch me Jay” I begged. His hand reached up and began playing with my breast squeezing and rolling my nipple. “ Jay so close, it feels so good.”I cried, “ I know, you’re so beautiful”he tightened his abs again making them rigid as my body moved on his “Go ahead and cum for me” and that’s all it took my body tensed and I leaned forward enough that he captured my lips as I moaned in pleasure, his hands going to my hips making sure that I got every ounce of pleasure. As my body collapsed on his, he removed his hands from my hips and began to stroke my back before he wrapped his arms around me.
“Sweet girl, you did so good” his voice softer. I buried my face in his shoulder, “Jay, I can’t believe I did that” I mumbled. He just laughed and rolled us over.

Interview from Laut 5/2022. Some very interesting insights from Tobias here on future tours, songwriting and... Imagine Dragons.
---
Tobias Forge is not really happy after taking a look at today's advance sales figures. When I meet the Ghost boss in the backstage room of the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, the conversation first revolves around the supposed German overcautiousness when buying concert tickets. And indeed: in the evening, many seats remain empty. But when it comes to the stage show, Ghost give their all again tonight despite weak sales.
First of all, how is Papa Nihil? With the daily reanimations on stage, you're putting him through quite a lot.
That's probably true. But in some moments he's fine. This coming back from the afterlife, reanimation and all that, that's certainly hard - but that’s not my problem.
How does the transport look? Does he have private pallbearers or is he occasionally reanimated during the day to polish his saxophone?
No, no, we have people who take care of his saxophone, he stays nicely in the coffin. Anything else would be torture. Think of rigor mortis. We only resuscitate him if we need him.
Then give him my regards and of course congratulations on "Impera". Tell me honestly: Does a band's new album always has to be their best?
Ah, wow, hahaha! It should at least be your intention to make the best album you can. Nobody goes into the studio to make an okay album - even if the result might be just that in the end.
But that also flows into all the promo talk: even bands that haven't been relevant for 30 years regularly tell you that this new record is really the best of their career. Of course, self-reflection is not always easy.
We haven't got that far yet, so I'm a bit more pragmatic about it. When I look back, of course I think to myself, on this one we did this and that wrong, and on this one that was really great. Of course, when you have 15 albums, you can't easily list the concrete qualities of each one on one hand.
I think Metallica did it well, I saw an interview once where they said, "'Ride The Lightning' is our best album. Full stop." Pretty matter-of-factly, I mean, they could have easily said, "The Black Album is the best," simply because it did their career the best.
When I start a new album, I look closely at what I didn't like on the previous one. It's always a reaction to the previous album. Now that's not just to say, "Oh, the last album wasn't heavy enough, so I'll make this one heavier." Practical things too. I want the record to sound smooth, I want the hi-hat to be mastered properly and I like it in the mix.
Talking about hindsight: Over the years, Ghost have played almost all the songs from all the studio albums live. But only four songs from "Impera" can be heard tonight. What about the rest, will they be played on later tours?
It will come later, definitely. There's a pretty simple reason why the setlist is the way it is: band and crew are scattered all over the world. That's different from five dudes living in one city and rehearsing every Monday. We had to pick up a bit where we left off with our US tour - even if it's at the expense of other songs. "Watcher In The Sky", for example, we're really looking forward to that. "Twenties", at least some people want to hear that one, haha! Maybe also "Respite On The Spitalfields". A few of them we call "gag songs" because we have some special things planned for them - but we can't do them yet.
Interesting, because I have the feeling that many bands already sort out obvious surplus material for the release tour, which is then never played live. Is there no song that you can't listen to any more or that you think in retrospect is too weak or not successful? Or could every single song reappear in the setlist one day?
I would say about 95 per cent, yes. The rest are songs that just wouldn't work well live.
For example? "Deus In Absentia"?
"Deus" is definitely an odd song, but that also depends on where you place it in the set. That start-stop thing is very special, but it could work again. One song that didn't work at all live, although we really tried, is "Depth Of Satan's Eyes". I don't know why, I always liked it. I think it's the speed, maybe it's just too slow.
It just doesn't have that awesome swing like "Zombie Queen" from the same album.
Yeah, exactly! (laughs) So there are definitely some songs with asterisks behind them, but that doesn't mean we'll never play them again. We have to entertain quite a lot of people, so the stage show has to be fluid.
Is that also the reason why your closer "Monstrance Clock" got kicked out? Did you play it too often?
We played it a hell of a lot. But we're also thinking about an alternative tour, where we can play the stuff we're not playing at the moment. At the moment we end with "Square Hammer", which is such a banger that it leaves no room for more. Then in an alternative setting we will play "Monstrance Clock" again - those are just two completely different endings.
What interests me honestly is the role of the external songwriters in Ghost. On "Impera" there are more songwriting credits than ever for Salem Al Fakir and Vincent Pontare, known among others as songwriters by and for Avicii. How does it all work: you have a song idea and they put the finishing touches on the harmonies?
Most of the time I come up with one or two songs and say: "Look, I have song A here and I have song B here. Tell me, which one is the more interesting?" And then I just wait for the reactions. As soon as I present something to someone else, it's the reactions that encourage me to keep working. Just like with you as an author, where an editor looks over it again and says, "Look, I know what you want to say here, but can't you bring it to the point even better?". Otherwise I'll lose interest as a reader. Why don't you try to emphasise this other part a bit more, it's more exciting."
It totally helps me to exchange ideas with very good songwriters in order to grow myself. It also helps me to realise where I can trust my intuition and where not. Sometimes I try to bring in new things to specifically differentiate myself from my intuition - but then I get to hear: "No, no, you should do it your way, it just works better here."
But it's not like your partners write specific melodies or parts of the songs?
Of course you pass the ball to each other, of course there is input, especially when it comes to arrangements. My vocal lines are usually very intuitive. But when you sit down and think about how to add a third voice, then you get to the point where music becomes almost mathematical. It mustn't sound funny or sad, even if it might be harmonically correct. A lot of stuff like that.
Without influencing the sound too much?
As a pop musician, when you work with outside songwriters, they usually take more of a producer role. They build the sound. It was never like that with Ghost. In the demo phase, I play all the guitars, bass, keyboards and sing. But Salem [Al Fakir] in particular is an incredibly talented keyboard player who I can always rely on when I need a good piano part. But the instrumentation is always the same: two guitars, bass, drums, piano, organ, maybe Mellotron.
In my opinion, there are many negative examples from rock when it comes to the later involvement of external songwriters - Ghost is an absolute positive example for me, especially as far as the catchy tune factor is concerned.
What would be a negative example?
The last Linkin Park album ("One More Light"). They did a very good job of unfolding and trying things out for six albums and then just got off track with external people. I don't mean that in a "they have to be heavy and have fat guitars" way, because they had also made interesting electronic pop music before. But the result was just not homogeneous.
I don't have the album in my head right now, but I think that's the typical mistake. I never ask anyone to write me a song. That just doesn't work. But I think other people think, "Oh, I'll just get Greg Kurstin [Sia, Adele, Twenty One Pilots] to do it, he'll give us a sound".
And you manage to make sure that the end result is still Ghost through and through, though?
Yes, I hope so. I'll give you an example: there are bands that become overnight sensations. Let's take Imagine Dragons. Labels, media - suddenly the whole business wakes up. You ask yourself: What did they do right? And then over the years these conversations come up: "You, maybe you should have producer XYZ mix your album." - "Um, why?" - "He did Imagine Dragons, too." Yeah, wow, he mixed Imagine Dragons. Nothing else. I don't mean to speak ill of them at all, don't get me wrong. But the basis of your recipe is in the ingredients. If you come up with rotten potatoes, you can't save them by the way you prepare them. No mixer can save your song.
One reason why Imagine Dragons work so well is this. (Tobias stomps and claps the "We Will Rock You" rhythm.) Queen, if you will, but also ... [He sings "Halo" by Beyoncé and "Apologize" by OneRepublic.] Both were written by the same guy [Ryan Tedder]. His thing was always that drum foundation. And it's the same with "Radioactive, Radioactive" [sings]. That's the whole thing.
If you want to sound like Imagine Dragons, you have to write your songs that way. You don't need someone to put a tambourine in at one point, you have to write it directly like that. So when people like Greg Kurstin or Ryan Tedder come up and show that they can write for Sia on the one hand, but also work with the Foo Fighters, then you have to pay attention to what exactly you want from them. Because if you're not careful, they'll write you songs that sound exactly like that.
But to give a positive example, too: Aerosmith. They wrote first-class songs in the seventies and had another great career later on with songs written by others. And that worked really well. It's never black and white. I think we are also in a grey area, somewhere in the middle. Write your songs with others, sure, but be in the middle of it. Don't go and say, "Write me a Ghost song."

Hi. Where to start? Horrible everything. I remember when I started watching OL. Where is the freshness, the spontaneity of the first season? The interviews are so boring, the same questions and the same answers for ten years. The poorly organized lackluster premiere. Pathetic panels. They are unable to even coordinate how they will be dressed or how to position them for photos. The terrifying light. The clothes they wear and horrible hairstyles. It's like beginners. It is supposed that the experience of the years would make them gain in elegance. I have the general feeling that I started watching OL, a magnificent series and magnificent presentations and cast, and it has become the Roman movie of SH. Fiction and reality. I would like to know your opinion? Do you have this feeling? I think that in the end the most interesting thing in the whole week in NY is knowing the identity of the strong blonde walking with SH. Now the last interview on Andy Cohen makes sense... someone strong to dominate him, festival in a limousine. Maybe the strong blonde is the same as jack freda. Please, what do you think about all the topics?
Hi. Where to start?! 😂
Well, I wouldn't say horrible everything, bit too negative to my taste. I do remember myself when I start watching OL. Longtime readers here know, I just started watching the show since late 2019, when already 4 seasons were out. It was recommended to me by friends and some people I do from time to time discuss and share recommendations with for shows to watch. But the description of OL sort of held me back. I'm not the romance or fantasy type of watcher. A good story, believable or relatable has more prio for me.
Anyway, I started watching nevertheless and read some fo the books (not all, got stuck in book 5). I didn't watch any interview or anything before the show, wasn't aware about the fandom (and all that was going on within it), just gave it a try without knowing anything upfront.
In hindsight, I think it was more the beginning, the story about Claire and Frank. And when she went through the stones I actually was more hoping for Claire to get back to Frank! I think those 2 characters and actors, intrigued me more than Jamie. Tobias M playing Frank as well as Black Jack, I thought was what most stood out for me.
As said, I'm not the type for watching romances, so for me seeing how Claire and Jamie would be a couple was a bit... meh... too obvious, too much like a cheap roman booklet where you can predict what is going to happen. I'm one of the few that's not drooling over their romance at all, I'm not waiting for intimacy or any of that kind of scenes just for the sake of it. It didn't need to be that graphic for me, and it still doesn't need to be included for me. It seems more to me it's like, that's what the 'fans' want.... it's not really that contributing to the story at it self (JMO).
Anyway, the impression I had of Jamie (and the actor that was totally unknown to me), was more like is he the next handsome guy showing off his body. It changed at the episode Wentworth Prison, and the very graphic scene with Black Jack. So that's when I started to get curious, is he the next handsome guy that maybe can act?
I watched S3&4 as well and started reading the books. Looked up some things, actors, interviews, Diana Gabaldon... and slowly got intrigued by the fandom. Well maybe by the side of it that astounded me, the things going on on Twitter. It was during S5 promo that I saw things that made me go like whoa, what is that!?!
Covid came around, and I somehow landed here on Tumblr. Was a lurker for a long time, didn't actually wanted to create an account or get involved in anyway... well, that turned out completely the other way around 😂😂😂
I had rather a steep learning curve about the fandom, did the Trazzies, which was also not intended, but fun. You can still watch them on my Youtube Channel as well as some other videos... (yes, the Hawaii-gate - Excuse me)
I do think, knowing more about the fandom, the actors, and watching interviews etc. has affected me. I'm not quite sure if I would still watch the show actually. I don't watch all these interviews, I give some a try, but most of them are not that interesting and I quit halfway. Some (the ones I post) are okay-ish. What I take away from it is to me it seems that most media that was interested in the beginning is not interested in it anymore. It's secondary media, zoom interviews in a hotel room... and yes the RC this time was 🤐 (That interviewer during the live stream was the most annoying person I've seen, I actually screamed at my screen, one more 'I'm so excited' and I would have thrown something at the screen, ugh).
After reading the reviews I posted, I must admit, the show has become more and more a soap opera. On screen as well as off screen 😂
Hmm the blond, is not the same as we saw at that lunch at JWF last month. At least, the one I think was at the lunch is not the woman he was seen walking from the hotel. I'm still poking around a bit on that one. I'm actually surprised nobody mentioned or seen that one detail that the woman could possibly identified by positively... and thus we could know who or what.... A red flag though already is, them walking from the hotel together, when he knows fans and photographers are waiting outside. Anyway, perhaps I come back to it later on. I do have a mailbox full of requests about my opinion regarding those pics. But I first want to see if I can explore it any further (based on the details I did see....). So to be continued.... maybe 😉 (not promising anything).

Welcome to the Discard Pile...
Started this list in 2023, and am going to add to it this year (2024) unless it gets too unwieldy, in which case I'll start a new one.
These are shows that I have given up on watching for various reasons and have zero intention of going back to finish. It is not intended as a criticism or judgement of anyone if a show that they loved is on here. We don't all like the same things, folks. ;)
My Dear Gangsta Oppa (iQiYi)
Only Friends (GMMTV YouTube)
Heart Beat (Prime) - what I've read about he conclusion is putting me off finishing this one.
Secret Invasion (Disney+) - two episodes in and ... well, I have no motivation to keep watching.
Unforgettable Love (Viki)
Perfect and Casual (Viki)
The Love You Give Me (Viki)
The Longest Promise (WeTV)
Something In The Rain (Netflix/Viki)
La Pluie (iQiYi)
Hidden Agenda (GMMTV YouTube) - abandoned it, really. Just not feeling any impulse to continue.
Gone With The Rain (Viki) - yeah, it's been weeks since i stopped watching it. I'm not going back. Not only are the second couple bugging the heck out of me, I find myself far too annoyed with the main pair.
Fireworks of My Heart (Viki) - yeah... this has just gotten a bit boring, really. It's possible/likely that the feeling of treading water in the plot is deliberate because that is what the characters are experiencing in their ability to move forward/move on with their relationship. The problem is that I stopped caring. The story-beats started to feel quite repetitive - yes, the mother is awful; yes, the brother is in love with her; yes, she's emotionally crippled by her upbringing; yes, he's still in love with her but also hurt... we get it - over and over and over and over. Interspersed with various emergency situations and scripted promo speeches about the 'restructuring' and how good it was for everyone...
The Legend of Anle (Youku App/Youku YouTube) - I tried. Really I did. But this one just didn't hook me in like I'd hoped, so I'm putting it aside in favour of the myriad of titles also on my list.
Trick or Love (Viki) - so I love Coffee Prince and Bromance, and You Are Beautiful is a pretty good show too. They were among some of my earliest forays into shows not from the UK or countries colonised by the UK. Saw the synopsis for this one and thought it might be a decent addition to that contemporary romance drama FL disguises/dresses as male category. Y'know, something reasonably enjoyable to watch in between everything else up there on the list. I was wrong. The FL is frustratingly stupid in a "we need this for the narrative to work" kind of way. The ML is an arrogant, self-obsessed bastard. His motivation for getting her to dress male is such that it is impossible to side with him at all. TBH, most of the characters feel barely sketched in. Oh! And there is a running "joke" about how close the ML and the 2nd ML are and how everyone at work thinks they are secretly dating and the ML keeps 'flirting' with the 2nd ML and it's just... ick. So, yeah. Nope.
Skip A Beat (iQiYi) - yeah, noooooooo. This is a white hot mess of a series that I cannot even bring myself to hate watch. ML is AWFUL to the FL for several episodes as they secretly date and then there's this ridiculous heart transplant twist and just NOPE.

Thanks for the tag @jesuisici33 and @strandnreyes this seems like such a cool idea!
So wanted to get some hiatus rec lists going and encourage some self promo in my friends so how about sharing your top fics no matter how big or small - give us the links to your wonderful words with the Most hits/Most kudos/Most comments/Most bookmarks /Most words/Least words
most hits: Words and Sounds (we’re falling together) (Teen Wolf)
This is the first Teen Wolf fic I ever wrote. It was in the midst of season 2 when we all still had hope. My how this show went down hill. I stopped watching after one of my faves was killed off and I definitely did not watch the movie that was recently released. But I still like how this fic turned out.
most kudos: For the Record (Teen Wolf)
This idea came to me when I was driving across the country and I wrote it in an entire night. I can really tell how much I’ve grown in my writing from this fic and there’s things I would change and expand on now.
most comments: Silence and Gloom (911 Lone Star)
This fic came to me after 4x2 aired and I knew I wanted to finish it before I watched 4x4. Keeping myself spoiler free was quite the effort, but I managed to do it because I didn’t want any of my thoughts/feelings being changed by the episode.
most boomarks: Mea Aloha (Hawaii 5-0)
I wrote this way back in the days of Livejournal for a birthday gift for someone else in the fandom. It’s just a cute and fluffy thing.
most words: Green Eyes, Blue Skies (911 Lone Star)
My most recent fic and my longest. This was so fun for me and just a completely self indulgent fic. I was always scared to write/post fics in other fandoms because I worried if anyone would like it and this one I wrote for me and my bestie. Honestly, highly recommend doing this if you don’t already when writing.
least words: you dream of some epiphany (911 Lone Star)
I wanted to write something for Nurses Week and I had started an au with nurse TK and doctor Carlos, so I made it part of that. It’s also super personal and cathartic because it’s something that happened to me. It helped with processing it, which I definitely haven’t done because I still get nervous entering patient’s rooms every now and then.
I’m supes late to the party so I’m sure everyone has done it but tagging @whenshereads @welcometololaland @liminalmemories21 @heartstringsduet @thebumblecee @decafdino @catanisspicy @ramblingdisaster73 and anyone else that hasn’t done it and wants to!

Eddie Kingston- Love Language
Tumblr media
*Self-indulgent fluff cuz that man needs to be loved and protected.  I said what I said.*
Tumblr media
Eddie was the kinda guy that could let certain things roll off his back. Statements and words, opinions, none of it bothered him that much but the promos that Bryan and Punk had done calling him out on his weight, on his physical appearance struck a nerve.
At first, he tried not to let it bother him because he knew it was the truth. He wasn't a gym rat, didn't have a six-pack, and probably never would. His biceps weren't bulging and ripped but he didn't need all that to do what he did in the ring.
It made him laugh though, all those guys spending hours in the gym. Sure muscle was great and all but Eddie thrived on unbridled rage in the ring. A wave of anger that ran through his blood, deep down to his very soul. That was the kind of strength that would top muscle each time.
Eddie's woman loved that about him though. Loved his passion for the ring, for wrestling, but most of all she loved him as he was. All of him, 'Dad bod' and all. She couldn't keep her hands off of him not that he minded anyhow. Always touching him in some form or another, hugging him, fingers trailing over his arm, or patting out the beat of a song on his thigh.
He loved the way her bottom lip would puff out pouting when he messed with her. Running away not letting her hug him. Laughing and smirking, letting her get just close enough before he'd get out of reach again.
She wasn't clingy or needy by any means, it was just how she was. He'd learned about Love Languages from her when he asked her early on why she liked to touch him so much. She explained that her Love Language was Touch and damned if he didn't realize how touch starved he'd been his adult life.
There was a therapeutic way with her touches. The way her fingers rubbed over his face calming him after a rough match. The soft swirls of her fingertips over his forearms as they drove to the next show. It was how she showed that she loved him, that she cared. It was her way of telling him that he was enough, that he was worth such a simple often forgotten intimate thing as touch.
He loved the way she'd tiredly rub her leg over his in her sleep or how surprisingly amazing it felt being spooned by that woman. Arms and legs entangled together, her breasts smashed into his back. Ugh, he was a simple man but an extremely happy one.
She never tried to change him, only ever wanted the best for him. Never forced anything on him, not working out or eating healthier, or demanding he stop drinking. She accepted him and all that he was. She said that he was a grown man that could make his own decisions and she'd love him either way.
Communication at least on the sort of emotional level they had developed was new to him. It scared and excited him. He never had someone in his life that had his back as she did besides Moxley. A small part of him wondered if she'd fight tooth and nail like Mox did but then again she seemed more of a lover than a fighter. It didn't take long for him to experience that answer either.
Voices were carrying through the backstage hallways of their current arena stop. A voice he knew but never heard in that tone before echoing, bouncing throughout. The kind of sound that automatically draws a crowd. A crowd had already formed by the time he turned the corner, more than surprised to see his woman in the face of Bryan Danielson.
Fuming mad, her face a few shades darker than normal. The muscles in her jaw flexed and clenched. Her index finger poked roughly and with fury in his chest as she screamed at him. Not with a raised voice, or a harsh tone, that woman was seething, screeching at Bryan in such a way that made Eddie double-take at the scene.
"If you ever say that shit again, I'll end you myself."
"It was just a promo, it didn't mean anything." But Bryan was trying to back away from her nonetheless.
"Do I look like a fuckin' mark to you?" There was a wildness in her eyes, crazed anger.
"It was..."
"You shut the fuck up you mushroom coffee swilling, kale salad eating lying pussy ass bitch!"
A collective gasp from the crowd at her unnatural outburst. Eddie had to admit he was a little turned on seeing her like this. So unlike the touchy-feely loving woman he saw every day.
"If I ever, EVER catch you talking shit about his physical appearance again I will break your fucking legs! I will snap your raggedy-ass fingers one by one and shatter your knee caps. I'll stomp on your fuckin' balls until they explode and send what's left to your wife before I rip open your lying ass mouth and pull your jaw from your neanderthal-looking skull. Do I make myself clear?"
"You don't understand," Bryan tried to reason.  "It was just a promo, nothing more."
"DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" Her fists balled up tight, whole body tense. That wildness in her eyes shifted to pure destruction.
"Yes," Bryan murmured like a scolded child.
"Get outta my sight." The way she spoke was nothing but eerie.
"Woah come on now, this is ridiculous." He made a mistake and pushed it too far, Eddie could see willpower disintegrate, nothing was holding her back now.
"Why don't you scurry on home with your tail between your legs and explain to your kids that daddy uses his promos as an excuse to make fun of the way someone looks, that daddy is a body shamer. Or better yet," shoving Bryan with a force that knocked him on his ass. "Why don't you explain to Brie how you're a fraud and how you shove bacon cheeseburgers from Five Guys in your face while you're on tour. You virtue-signaling fake ass vegan who can't wait to get away from his wife so he can shove animal meat down his gullet!"
"That's a lie!" He was on his feet and in her face, but she had her phone out showing proof that sent him stomping away in a huff.
"That's right," shoulders rolling, rage coursing through her making her body shake.  "Run away ya lil' bitch!"
The second she turned around and noticed Eddie it was like a switch flipped inside her. Embarrassment and shame flooded her, glancing at the concrete floor and kicking her foot against a crate.  He'd never witnessed her like that before, never saw such raw fury but he loved every second of it.
"I uh..." mumbling sheepishly.
"Nah uh," Eddie was smirking, snickering at the change in her. "C'mere." Arms out, hands making a childish grabby motion, getting close enough to pull her in tight. "That was the fuckin' shit.  Greatest fuckin' thing I've seen in ages."
"Yeah?" Sinking into his hug, locking her arms behind him.
"I think you just unlocked a new Love Language." His whole body shook as he laughed. "Badass bitch."

[INTERVIEW] Wonho Has No Regrets And His ‘Bittersweet’ EP Says It All
“So, I couldn’t work out today,” Wonho casually says with a chuckle, as we wrap up a 40-minute conversation. “I tried to put it in between my schedule today, but I didn’t have time. So, I’m planning to do it after the Zoom calls.”
If you don’t know Wonho, it’s very Wonho of him to say that. After all, he is K-Pop’s Adonis — known to be an avid gym rat and a walking thirst trap to many. But beyond the strong looks, chiseled muscles and perfectly toned figure, Wonho’s thoughts on his music and work on this call are only a small, refreshing glimpse to how simple yet thoroughly eloquent he can be.
Seated in a conference room, dressed in a grungy black and white striped long sleeve, and occasionally shifting his gaze from the camera to elsewhere, out of frame — to what seems to be my face projected on a television screen, Wonho’s getup coincides with the sounds of his new lead single “Don’t Regret,” off of his single album Bittersweet. The song takes a shift from his usual pop, dance and electric sounds and leans toward a mesh of rock and ballad. Nonetheless, the “Open Mind” singer is in a good mood to take on this night-long press junket. And it has only just begun.
But he’s used to it by now, considering he’s been in the industry for over seven years. Not to mention, just successfully ended his first-ever European tour last month. (“Besides working out, I like sightseeing the streets of the particular place when flying abroad.”) His tone and tenor contains a sense of excitement, knowing he has new music to release just five days away.
Bittersweet is the name of his newest single album, and it contains two tracks, “No Regret” and “On & On,” both co-written by him. Ahead of the release, Uproxx got a chance to catch up with Wonho to discuss the album, the process and how it feels to be standing strong in the K-pop industry.
In the process of going from tour to preparing for your comeback, how do you do it all?
When it comes to my work schedule, the distribution of the work schedule is always well-coordinated by our company. For example, I came back to Korea and I practiced and then right before this interview, I had to film the promo – those liners and content and other Korean content/video contents that I had to shoot. Now, I’m on Zoom right now.
What made you want to name it Bittersweet?
So, it’s just about my story. I just wanted to tell my story – put my story in it. I was thinking of what kind of performances I can show myself while being trendy so I tried to incorporate those too in my mind.
Compared to your last releases, “Don’t Regret,” is more of a rock ballad, how did this come about?
So, I’ve always loved the genre of rock and I really enjoy it more these days because I know that rock is pretty trendy and famous in the music industry. I’m enjoying the music of 5 Seconds of Summer and Fall Out Boy at the moment!
Would you say “Don’t Regret,” is a personal motto you follow?
It’s a saying to myself that makes me look at the person rather than dwelling on the past itself. And it’s like a new challenge, from now on, to move forward as an artist and as a person too.
So, “Don’t Regret” is more of celebrating one’s self and “On & On” is more of moving on?
I would say it depends on how the listener and you interpret it? It is one of the themes that the song (“Don’t Regret”) has. Different people perceive it so I’m very happy that you interpreted it a particular way. It’s another interesting thing to me and you’re right on track about “On & On,” it’s talking about the past, moving forward.
And speaking of “On & On,” I actually made this song thinking about YUNHWAY from the beginning. I contacted her saying I really wanted her to do a collaboration with me. And the process itself was very smooth. The idea just came in, then the speed of the whole process of making this song was very quick.
What would you say is the best part of preparing for this release overall then?
I was very happy that I could give out the songs with this – the lyrics itself and super happy that I’m able to give out 2 songs to my fans. Before the release, so my fans wouldn’t know it right away but once they hear the song and see the lyrics, I’m pretty sure they will be happy.
For the lead track, I usually have the melody and the song itself. And I would often have the basic ideation of the lyrics so I would put it into the song itself that I needed first.
Any struggles?
When it comes to using different words or unique phrases that I wouldn’t often use, I find it kind of difficult. I still have a lot to say, still have a lot to share. It’s one of my agonies and I keep thinking to myself how would I express this in my music?
Since you just talked about expressing, you’ve been replying to your fans a lot on Twitter. How important is communication to you as an artist?
Wonho: If I didn’t have that, there’s no point in being an artist for me. I love hearing phrases like “I will always be by your side, Wonho.” Those are the most memorable notes I keep from my fans and having it brings me full support, strength, and energy. One of the driving motivations for me.

I say, would you like to be a hero?
look. @modmad’s webcomic The Property of Hate is… ridiculously good. so good. that is some top tier content and i love it to death. and right now there’s a crowdfunding campaign to get volume three in print, and it is so goddamn close to meeting the goal. volume three contains my favorite chapters, and i’m a collector at heart so i can’t help but want to snag it, so ig this counts as a promo piece? a self-serving promo/signal boost? …is that just fanart? idk.
anyway if you like comics (hi crew) give it a read on the website <-there. i swear the whole concept changed the way i look at art. even if you can’t contribute to the campaign, it’s a super fun series that you can binge for free! gotta love webcomics.
also i’m like 90% sure RGB qualifies as a tumblr sexyman, which is hilarious. so if TV-head guy sparks your fancy, he’s in it a lot. go wild.
this is the longest description i’ve ever done for my art, and it’s legit to promote an inspiration of mine. probably shows how passionate i am about it.
(now i’m off to work on more iswm stuff, because i can’t help myself lol o7)

Musings on Chibnall Sontarans
I've decided that it might be fun to try writing down some Doctor Who thoughts rather than just musing on them to myself. I freely admit that it's a tad rambling and I might diverge on the topic a bit but this is just me putting some thoughts down.
But the only way I'll ever get any better at writing posts like this is to write them.
Some thoughts on the Sontarans that I mused around.
I think that I prefer Chibnall's take on the Sontarans the most.
A recurring criticism that I saw of the Sontarans during Moffat's era was that they were being played for laughs too much. To be fair, the Sontarans don't really appear in force during much of his era. It's mainly just Strax, who is framed as a comedy Sontaran. It gets bit more complex when you see that when he first appeared there was a bit less of that comic tone, but after he joined Vastra and Jenny he was largely there to be the comic relief in the trio.
And when he briefly reverts back to his normal self in The Name of the Doctor it is effective, before he... gets disintegrated or erased, I'm never quite certain which.
But then you have scenes in The Time of the Doctor where the Sontarans don't seem to realise how an invisibility shield works and are there for a one-off joke.
The Sontarans don't really show up much under Peter Capaldi, Strax turning up in the first episode which is about it.
You may wonder why. Did they not fit Moffat's tone of more reflective and experimental takes with 12?
The boring answer for why the Sontarans didn't turn up much with 12 is... they just didn't. It's not really like the Daleks and to a slightly lesser extent the Cybermen, where it's sort of expected that each Doctor meets them.
The Sontarans were often seen as the third of the villain races in Doctor Who, behind the Daleks and Cybermen. But now they've been sort of eclipsed by the Weeping Angels. You can see that in how in The Time of the Doctor promo it had Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, Silents... something something joke about not remembering them. And that Hell Bent had in the catacombs a Dalek (that I headcanon was left over from The Apocalypse Element), a Cyberman and a Weeping Angel.
And likely Moffat didn't really feel that there was much more to do with the Paternoster Gang. I didn't object to them not turning up again in 12's era and I don't object now.
The Sontarans in Pond Life were a bit more traditional in that they're menacing, Pond Life being the piece Chris Chibnall wrote... which leads back to the original point.
The Sontarans in Flux are presented in a much less comical light. This is probably the most effective that they've been on-screen since... The Invasion of Time, where they came close to conquering Gallifrey. But in Flux they are shown massacring their way through 19th century British soldiers, having inserted themselves into history and conquered a large portion of the world. In the same ep they've easily conquered modern-day Earth. Then later that series they conquer Earth quickly again, having engineered a plan across decades with another alien to weaken Earth's defences.
I would say that you do see some of the flaws in Doctor Who: Flux from what I've said here, in that there are two invasions of modern-day Earth by the Sontarans this series, apparently un-connected, as it's not clear if the Grand Serpent helped in their War of the Sontarans invasion. I know that Flux was cobbled together in very difficult circumstances, and it does kind of show that the scripts have had to be forced a bit so they all sort of fit together, with the odd ending which seems to forget that most of the Universe was destroyed. I hope that we get something like a Writer's Tale one day or even adaptations of the original plans, like Big Finish has done for some Classic stories. Maybe novelisations? Anyway...
Along with invading Earth, the Sontarans trick the Daleks and the Cybermen, who they often play second fiddle to, into being destroyed by the Flux and come very close to becoming the main power of the Universe.
Though the Sontarans have often been seen as rather comical thugs, with full-on attacks we do see that they can be cunning. Flux does make them worthy of their status as one of the Universe's top warrior races.
Now I don't think that the Sontarans need to be too serious. You can still play them for laughs in their belligerent nature. Their whole Imperialism is always subject to mockery. The Time Warrior starts with Commander Linx annexing the Earth. You get touches of that throughout. Commander Skaak tells the Doctor that they are invading during the Crimea War as they wanted to ride a horse... That image of a Sontaran on a horse is brilliant. And of course, a Sontaran getting addicted to chocolate.
Tumblr media
I kind of like some more attention being drawn to the alien biology of Sontarans, with details like them easily getting a sweet tooth and the detail about them having trouble on Earth so needing to refuel every 27 hours. You might argue that this is the sort of weakness that would have been brought up earlier, that it would have worked as a weakness for another alien race, and that the Sontarans already have that probic vent weakness. Yes. But DW being in new stuff after decades is... meh, it happens. Though it's odd that Svild still goes through this sleep when he doesn't have access to the ship. Maybe he has supplies?
A scene which feels symbolic of the move to more brutal Sontarans over the bumbling Strax happens in War of the Sontarans. Svild feels more Strax-like, even while he is imprisoned boasting about defeating human scum. When he goes back to the Sontaran base he is told by his superior that he is a disgrace and killed.
I would hardly say that this is a personal attack on Moffat's way of doing the Sontarans. The mentality of presuming that different writers are attacking each other like they are rival politicians I find to be very reductive and needlessly provocative. It does feel though like a reminder that Strax and the way he acts is not typical of the Sontarans. It's as if Strax is being killed but it's not Strax, as to kill Strax here would be a bit much.
There is also a much nastier feel to the Sontarans. We are used to Strax talking about killing human scum and off-screen he apparently killed numerous horses, but we don't see him doing that. We know that it's his usual boistering. But the Sontarans in Flux do show that it's not just talk.
In their first scene in The Halloween Apocalypse a Sontaran tells another how disgusting they look, a meaner kind of humour. The Sontarans seem to revel in how nasty they are. They mockingly tell human captives to keep their last words to themselves before killing them. They even massacre all the Lupari save for Karvanista (that is done a bit quickly I agree). They trick the Daleks and the Cybermen into a trap.
I have noticed that Chibnall seems to prefer writing nastier villains, which you see with Solomon (it counts as he wrote the episode), Tzim-Sha, the Reconnaissance Dalek, the Spy Master, Ashad, Tecteun, Swarm... this deserves it's own essay. All I'll say here is that the world is showing so many real-life monsters it doesn't seem too implausible to depict characters revelling in their evil.
Tumblr media
It is worth noting, as I am fond of doing, that there is a sort of Russian element to the Sontarans. In a way they seem a metaphor for the likes of Putin. After all, they take the place of Russia in a changed timeline. Then resorting to a long-scale infiltration of Earth's defences, including defunding UNIT, obviously alludes to Brexit and the weakening of British defences. Probably why the Master and the other top villains of the Whoniverse assemble around Russia in The Power of the Doctor... but that's another story. That needs its' own essay too.
And their leader rides a horse.
Tumblr media
The Sontarans are opportunists here, not planning the Flux but certainly taking advantage of it. What the Flux is... well, it can be interpreted in various ways. It could just be a general worry of complete annihilation. The main villains in this series, the Ravagers, are basically Gods of Nihilism, believing in simply the destruction of everything and seeing it as a duty to bring about inevitability. Kind of like the Anti-Logopolitans... or an Anti-Monitor, if you're going DC comics. And that story had the villains taking advantage of the trouble to try taking control of the remaining Earths...
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, some of the dialogue does lean into unfortunate territory. "If the Flux is destroying the universe, if planets and stars are being wiped out, there will be displaced creatures who need a home. Somewhere to take over." It does sound like it is leaning towards the great replacement, the scaremongering that people like Douglas Murray snarl about, of how European culture will be replaced. I don't think that was the intent, aliens whose planet has been destroyed invading Earth is very standard sci-fi, from War of the Worlds to a lot of Doctor Who. It's probably just unfortunate phrasing. Reminds me of Lawrence Miles going at Mark Gatiss over The Unquiet Dead having aliens pretending to be vulnerable then invading in force. Could that be argued as more problematic? I won't debate that here. The other showrunners have done their show of problematic stuff and comments but that doesn't really make it any better and if I go on about this then it looks like I'm excusing it.
Of course, if we're talking about Doctor Who writers going great replacement that's probably more Gareth Roberts, considering he writes in Douglas Murray's shitshow The Spectator now. And Strax was based on a concept he had... but moving on as he's a sore spot for many Doctor Who fans because of how clearly he rejects the mentality of the show.
It did occur to me that if the Sontarans were travelling back in time to invade human history in a big sweeping universe-threatening adventure which involves multiple Doctors, that sort of makes Flux the closest thing to a live-action adaptation of Doctor Who Legacy, a fun little game which ran from 2013-2019, as Tiny Rebel did not want to renew the license with the BBC. I suppose that Chibnall gets the blame for that as seeing the complaints over the lack of Christmas specials has demonstrated to me that lots of people don't seem to entirely understand how much power the showrunner has.
Moving back... maybe even the design of the Sontarans seems to hark back to their earlier nature. As opposed to the sleeker, more realistic look of the Sontarans from The Sontaran Stratagem onwards, these Sontarans are more Classic in design. The blue armour and smooth skin is replaced by the black armour and rocky look of the Classic series. From what I've seen (but that's my circle so not sure how representative it is) a lot of fans actually prefer this design.
To quote a site that I found recently...
"I don't know that I'm a huge fan of the new Sontaran design - Commander Skaak kept reminding me of George C. Scott - but I do like that it was a deliberate nod back to the initial Sontaran mask as designed for 'The Time Warrior,' with the hairs and pock marked skin. Kevin Lindsay, the actor who played Linx in that story and who received a shout out in this episode's script, suffered from heart trouble, and that initial mask caused him a lot of breathing problems. So much so that when they brought the supposed 'clone' of Linx back the following season they'd had to re-make the mask for the sake of his health, and they used that opportunity to clean up the look a lot, removing the hairs and giving the skin a much smoother complexion. That was the general Sontaran aesthetic they used thereafter, and I like the nod to the original concept." (https://www.douxreviews.com/2021/11/doctor-who-flux-chapter-two-war-of.html)
They even have a Sontaran in The Halloween Apocalypse stick his tongue out!
Tumblr media
For the sake of completion I may as well show how it changed from Commander Linx to Commander Styre.
Tumblr media
I actually asked @dalesramblingsblog about this comedy stuff recently and got a response. Yeh, Sontarans have always had a comic edge. https://dalesramblingsblog.tumblr.com/post/733709232342499328/if-were-going-on-the-making-affectionate-digs-at
Maybe this whole post is a waste of time... Anyway, it's kind of fun writing these. I should do more. I might quibble on some details but it's honestly nicer saying how I liked something in Doctor Who.

I hate this whole discourse of buying the digital copy vs listening to the leaks and streaming the album 😒 I can't afford to buy the digital version right now, I know it's not a lot of money but I've already spent a lot at his shop last month and money is a bit tight this month, I haven't been paid yet and Christmas is coming up and I have a big family and so many bills to pay and I shouldn't have to explain myself but everyone who chides fans for listening to the songs without buying the copies themselves makes me feel like a bad fan, as if I don't stream the album, bought multiple copies and a ticket to his show. One, I think he'd rather we go to the shows because of what he said about the album in regards to live shows, and two, they're bringing Dave Gibson into it now and how he would know Louis better than fans and... I'm sure we all want the No.1 for Louis but I think he would hate the way his fans talk to each other right now and also how everyone ignores how he talked about defining success. And also how they're saying this promo is shit, Louis has been in multiple big magazines, he did radio and TV shows, had signings planned. We're doing as much as we individually can to get him the No.1 (they really think just because we don't buy another copy we're not doing our best in other ways) but every fan has limits and some really need to realise that. I'm sorry for the rant but I'm frustrated that after years of being in this fandom money still plays such a big role.
!!!!!!
i think it's an incredibly big dick move to pressure fans, a lot of whom are not rich, to put themselves into financially uncomfortable (or in some cases, devastating) positions in order to not feel bad about themselves while simply being a fan, enjoying music, and supporting in whatever ways are financially feasible for their personal situations. spending money is not the crux of being a fan and does not reflect your worth as a fan, ever. louis said it himself a bunch of times that whether people can afford to actually buy the album or not, their support as a fan is enough. even someone who does not financially support at all but still openly enjoys their music, talks about his music to the people around them, etc, is also a great show of support. to act like every fan who doesn't buy the album or multiple copies of the album is a bad fan is incredibly tone deaf and insensitive and self-centered. just because you can afford to spend those extra dollars, not everyone can, and that shouldn't be your baseline for what a "true" fan is. it's a disgusting mindset and it pisses me off so much that it has come to this point of shaming and guilting people into spending money they might not have.

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! #13: “Forest” | December 17, 2007 - 12:15AM | S02E05
In this episode: Tim is out in the woods taking very bad photographs of nature. He has a disastrous run-in with chippy, resulting in a big burly mama Chippy (Eric in terrifying monster-man make-up) showing up and mauling Tim. It’s very dramatic and approximately cinematic, but it ends with Eric breaking character and smiling and striking a pose at the camera. It was probably a bit of footage that was not intended to be used. I feel like sometimes Tim & Eric went to that well maybe a little too often. The fourth-wall breaking “this doesn’t actually matter” thing happens pretty often on this show, and I can see how that would give certain people a bad first impression of the show who aren’t on their wavelength. I didn’t always love it, either.
The Married News Team are back! And Steve Brule is in tow! It feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen the Married News; Brule showed up doing his own thing in a self-defense VHS tape earlier in the season. This bit is okay but not terribly strong; they are playing a mysterious video game (later in an interstitial we find out it’s “The Snuggler” video game) as a way to introduce Brule’s segment on video games. The joke here is Brule can’t think of the video game. Conceptually this is funny, but most of the sketch is Brule sitting in silence trying to remember the game.
You can’t help but feel a little robbed. Brule is a font of hilarious lines and turns of phrase, so it’s a shame to waste that. I do like little details in this sketch, like Wayne using a Game Gear as a controller for his video game. This almost seems like an intentional joke for how poorly video game hardware is accurately portrayed in television shows. There’s also the little take Wayne does the camera when Brule is mentioned, playing up the jealously he feels when he’s around. This dynamic would eventually take a really dark turn, but that’s a bit off from now.
Back to Tim in the forest. He’s been left for dead by Mama Chippy, but he has no reason to fear, for the Snuggler is nearby. The Snuggler is played by Tairy Greene, who is played by Zach Galifianakis. He has a fox companion named Michael J. The joke is a reference to Micheal J. Fox, and for some reason this joke alluded me for years because I just thought the name “Michael J.” was funny, and don’t normally associate intentional cultural references with this show. There’s not a ton to this bit either, but it’s fun. Most of the humor comes from the incessant use of title cards and on-screen bugs for the fictional “The Snuggler” television program. His superpower is that he just snuggles people back to health. Sure enough, he immediately begins spooning the bloodied Tim, soothing him almost immediately.
There’s an Uncle Muscles “classic” clip from 1993 starring Casey and his Brother. This is what I’ve talked about before; Casey is dead, so every time they do a new Casey and his Brother sketch they make sure to announce that it’s from the archives. Here they perform “Horse and Buggy Ride”. I like these bits fine. I may be repeating myself here, but I honestly think they perfected the formula with the “Right Way to Rock” promo, where Casey is at his least ill-seeming. They brought Weird Al in just to record an intro for this; unless they banked a few during the season one shooting session. I don’t remember how much Uncle Muscles shows up in this season.
Video Match, A Dating Service is next. The joke here is mostly the absurd visual of the video subject appearing to have no nose. This is all through digital trickery. It’s funny enough! I wonder if the intent was to have this effect appear to be the result of a video tracking error sort of mad-fold-inning the image. For some reason it took me a couple viewings to realize that this is the same guy from the upcoming song “Petite Feet” even though he basically hits all the same bullet points.
The true classic bit from this episode is “Petite Feet”. With the lyrics “petite feet, feminine step / sounds like a lady when he’s walking in the room”. It’s very catchy, and the characters Tim & Eric play are hilarious, a couple of lameoids who live for billiards and aggressively pursuing sexual encounters. They champ at the bit to fuck this piece of trim just based on the sound of the footsteps. The song continues “this is what a man sounds like when he walks” (a masculine-sounding instrument) “but this is what that dude sounded like when he walked” (a feminine-sounding instrument).
I remember my friend Andrew telling me about an awkward family gathering where he tried to show a family member this sketch, thinking he MIGHT appreciate it. They feigned interest, but they were just waiting to show Andrew his own viral-style internet video, which was just a bullshit Jesus PSA about how people who believe in evolution are heretics who are going to hell. Literally could not be further from Tim & Eric.
I also remember this bit being performed live. I don’t remember if it was because I saw it or if this was one of a few Tim & Eric live things I saw on video. In the live bit, they perform the song and the trading of masculine and feminine instruments goes on longer, with Tim & Eric becoming more and more frustrated by the failure of the instruments being handed to them by Jon Mugar. Eventually they become so angry with him that they slap him silly and storm off the stage. Mugar is holding a horn in his hand. He turns to the audience and seamlessly begins performing the hundred holiday honks: which is to say he just turns around and squeezes the horn 100 times without saying anything. It must’ve been extra baffling to those who were unaware of Tim & Eric’s Super Deluxe output.
This one ends with Tim showing Eric a slideshow of his forest excursion. We get to deeper on his rescue by The Snuggler. Zach gets testy when Tim laughs at his pine cone puppet show because Zach feels it’s not meant to be funny. They casually devour Michael J. Tim owes his life to The Snuggler. Unfortunately Eric doesn’t care about this “at all” and the show ends with Tim & Eric pathetically waving goodbye to the camera. Their ad-libs during the credits are funny enough, but I have a pet peeve about this. VH1 had a lot of bad talking head shows where comedians would say lame jokes over repurposed footage of various things, and I feel like all too often a lot of these bits ended with a grinning Doug Benson sarcastically smiling and waving goodbye after delivering his stupid punchline. I can’t help but think of that when Tim & Eric do it here.
Honestly, this one is sorta weak, which seems like it’s always the way when Adult Swim takes it upon themselves to promote an episode of Tim & Eric heavily. Whatever I find annoying in a Tim & Eric show probably reads as “easily digestible” by the network. Detached irony is easier to take when it’s more obvious, maybe. I like detached irony, but I like it without the filthy tude. Oh yeah, I didn’t mention it yet, but Adult Swim promoted this one pretty heavily. Read on!

The Snuggler Stunt (December 16, 2007)
On the evening of the above episode’s premiere, Adult Swim went all-out promoting it by adding promotional on-screen bugs that were intentionally obnoxious, advertising “The Snuggler”. These bits included little video footage of Zach saying “I am the Snuggler” and stuff like that. It was meant to mimic a more typical network’s advertising methods, by covering the lower-third with garish advertising for upcoming programming during the show you were currently watching. They only did this during the repeats, if memory served. Xavier was spared of this.
Unfortunately these bits aren’t on Youtube; I was hoping to find somebody had compiled the on-screen bugs. This stunt seems largely forgotten. I think I might have a recording somewhere. I’m a broken record, but I really need to find all that stuff and save it. Fuck.

Hi my love
💝💌💘
Z, my darling!
💝what is a fic that got a different response than you were expecting?
I have to talk about My Hand Was The One You Reached For here, my first ever TLOU fic. The response to it? INSANE. I came here from a fandom where, especially recently, stuff about a father-daughter relationship wasn't getting much traction, so since I was used to a small response, I wasn't really expecting anything. I first made a Tumblr post about it, again, not expecting more than a handful of notes. After all I'm a fandom newbie who only came here because of the show, I knew close to nothing about the game. And then the post got thousands of notes in a matter of hours. People were dropping their own fics in the reblogs!!! I dropped mine on ao3 and it got more kudos & comments in a single day than my most recent Titans fics got in months!!! That never happened to me before. I've had popular fics but never to this extent, never so fast. So I was absolutely blown away. Thank you guys for welcoming me so kindly 🥹
💌share something with us about an up-and-coming work (WIP) that has you excited!
Since I'm currently splitting my writing time between two fandoms, right now I don't have anything started for The Last of Us, but I can list the ideas I will be working on once I'm done working on my Titans ideas.
Ellie forgives Joel by writing a song about it, based on Back to December by Taylor Swift - but before I get to that I want to watch the gameplay of tlou2 and torture myself since I don't know the full story. For science.
Ellie overhears the word "adoption" at school and asks Joel to explain it to her.
Another dancing fic, something based in Jackson, though I don't have a clear picture of it yet. Although I'm thinking about the kitchen. You know, another T Swift lyrics, dancing in the refrigerator light.
As for Titans, I'm currently in the process of writing the last two chapters of my newest multi-chapter Acrida, which is a time travel fic that can cause you a baby fever 🤭 but come on, which fictional father we all know and love would pass on a chance to go back in time and get to know his adopted kid when they were just a tiny little baby? There's some angst though, I actually wrote the heaviest scene today and I spent a good ten minutes crying. But I'll be keeping that under wraps and instead share something sweet.
The snowflakes falling around them became bigger. Few of them settled on his hair, one dropping right onto his nose and that was a game changer; Rachel's eyes grew round like dinner plates, lips forming a tiny ooh as she swatted at it with her hand.
"What's that?" Dick gasped, his eyes as wide as hers. "Snow? You like snow?"
She blinked at him a few times, entranced by the sound of his voice. Then she broke into a giggle, twisting in his arms as she laughed.
Dick tucked her closer to himself, laughing as well. She was the sweetest child, her sparkling personality already shining through, and her baby laugh could easily have the power to clear the sky off the heaviest clouds.
💘Is there any posted fic you want to rework/re-edit/re-write?
I once had this thought to rewrite my earliest fics because reading them made me cringe and I know I would have done them better now when I'm more experienced. But I decided against it because it shows the progress I've made as a writer, how much I've actually learned. So they'll stay cringe. If y'all want to binge my fics, start from the bottom so they get better instead of getting worse lol 😂
There's one though, where I only realized the issue recently. There's this collab AU fic for Titans I wrote with a friend. Huge thing, our best work to date, HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING (shameless self promo but fuck it we ballin) it's called Wicked Game. Recently, we started developing a sequel. Nothing written yet, only brainstorming and exchanging notes for now, but I realized recently that damn we really fucking put ourselves into a corner with that epilogue 🫣🤭

Hey there!!!!! I just love love love LOVE your writing🤭🤭 But I have writings that I want to post, however I'm afraid of it not getting attention!! I want to start making money off of my art also, but none of my post have been getting attention...><..Do you anything that could help me (to be honest it might just be the way I write...→_→)
Hi nonnie! Thank you so so much for the lovely compliments. That’s very sweet of you to say!
I’m gonna be honest with you, I myself struggle with interactions—very much so. Save for a few posts that blow up a little, the majority of my fics on Tumblr have little to no notes. But the amount of traction you receive should not be indicative of your skill as a writer, and it certainly should not stop you from enjoying it!
At the end of the day, fic writers are hobbyists and artists. They willingly write stories and pour their hearts into them, and it brings them joy to write them. While attention is certainly a wonderful thing, and the lack of it can sometimes be rather discouraging, remember why you chose to write. It was because you were passionate about it, wasn’t it?
I think one formula that always works, though, is choosing an active fanbase. The more active a fandom is, the more likely will your posts receive interactions. For example, a fandom like Attack on Titan is far more active and massive than the Yuumori fandom, for instance. Posts under the AoT tag tend to find their target audience more easily.
Post the links to your work everywhere—Twitter, in DMs, to your friends, on other websites; do anything to spread the word that you’re an active writer! There’s nothing wrong with shameless self-promos.
Another thing that helps a lot is using the appropriate tagging system. This makes your fics easier to find by interested people, and categorized better. For example, “#hinata shoyo smut” will lead you to all smut fics of Hinata Shoyo of Haikyuu, and “#william moriarty x reader” will lead you to a more general collection of x reader fanfics starring William Moriarty of Yuumori.
One thing I wish I could stick to is this: consistency. The more regularly you post, the more frequently you will show up on your followers dashboards, and the more likely you are to appear at other people’s dashboards. You’ll find yourself interacting with like-minded individuals who love your work in no time!
Personally, I haven’t been successful at all in making money off my blog. Though I am in desperate need of money, so far I’ve made literally $00.00. I believe we both need advice on how to earn cash from our work, don’t we?
Keep your head up, nonnie! Being a writer might feel like a tough business at times, but at the end it all boils down to how much you enjoy doing this. As long as you do, then you’re on the right track!💗💗

Oh you work at the movie industry, this is so cool! Can u tell us a lil about what you have been doing? Like, your routine? I don't wanna intrude I'm just really curious about ppl 🐱 u can answer privately or don't answer too, it's okay 💖 I understand 💖💖
Hi there!
My routine? For coffee, work, or just in general?
Hmm, well usually I get up around 6am, make my first cup of coffee and start work. I don't have to be up so early, people usually start around 8am, but I like to get my stuff out of the way early so I have time to enjoy my morning. That's why I mostly work from home.
My job is not glamorous, I don't really have any credits on IMDB. I have been fortunate to work for some large media companies, including Netflix and Disney, and I currently work at Paramount (ViacomCBS) but this is all post production, digital production, content management, asset management, marketing, localization, etc.
So I "touch" a lot of TV and film projects, but usually after everything is in the can, and the project is gearing up for marketing and sales to foreign markets.
Boring, but I like my job.
It's so trippy because I see people giffing trailers and promos for shows and films I approve, get localized and send to clients all the time. I know when a show will be announced, I know about top secret casting, I know when shows will be canceled, etc. That's my only advantage to working in the industry thus far.
After I do my general daily tasks early in the morning, I make myself another cup of coffee and I feed my cat, give her her medicine (for high blood pressure, poor thing), if I feel like getting dressed I will, but mostly I stay in my PJs and take meetings with my camera off.
If I decide to go into the office, I try to leave my apartment no later than 8am. When I get to the office, I stop at the Coffee Bean on the lot and get a Cookie Butter Latte.
Sometimes I get sleepy in the afternoon and I want to take a nap. If I'm in the office, I grab another coffee. Usually I just make it in the Keurig in the our office kitchen. If I'm at home, I just take a nap. My job is self-sustained. A lot of people depend on the outcome of what I do, but I am the one firmly in charge of my own workflow and schedule. So ifI feel like a nap when I'm at home, I take one.
That's pretty much my day to day. I sometimes watch YouTube or work on my writing or scroll around on Tumblr during the day. But I end my day early, because I start it early. I stop working no later than 4pm.
I usually have my third cup of coffee around 2pm. I'm trying to stop having that third cup. Because it's starting to interfere with my sleep schedule. I am still wired, whether I realize it or not, when it's time for me to go to bed at 10pm. So when you see me liking posts past 11pm it's because I've had so much caffeine, I can't properly go to sleep. I try to set a sleep schedule on my phone where my apps are inactive and my do not disturb is on, and sleep with it across the room from my bed.
But the coffee keeps me up and I end up going over to my desk and picking my phone up anyway.
I am currently on my second cup of coffee. LOL.
Ah, did I answer your question? Or talk too much?
Thanks for the ask!
