the thing abt anaistarion is that i DO absolutely Ship It and am excited to explore it in every form. but i’m p sure i’ve done a good job not forcing that on any of my mutes who write astarion. at least i have tried bc i get what it’s like to write a character who’s so popular and i don’t want my partners to feel like i only value them or their portrayals for the shipping opportunities. like just bc i’m upfront about my ship biases on the dash/in personal headcanons doesn’t mean i will forceship in practice, y’know? it was the assumption that i must also be doing that which rubbed me the worst abt the anons i received. i don’t like the feeling of being willfully misunderstood (or maliciously misrepresented). otherwise i just found them funny.

please let it be known: if you don't realize my nsfw tags (which are linked via my pinned post) are what they are, then let the Read More be its own hint. i only put sexual content and extreme leaning violence and what not under a cut.

i do my best to meet a bare minimum requirement because tbh, if you're here, you have to accept responsibility that this blog posts content you may not vibe with. i make it apparent and clear as possible. whether it's the warning in my pinned post, my rules, or me outright IMing a blog that follows me to check and make sure they are cool after i've read their own rules. i make the effort. -_- it's true, i prefer now to write most of that stuff on discord - because regardless of having tags and what not, people want to make it my problem that they have to view my content (sarcasm). which is hilarious. and that's all the more reason i remind people i'm more active on discord, because i feel less restrained. and that's not just for writing smut and violence, that's for writing shorter roleplays or longer and extensive ones, too. for plots where mortem is the villain, or working with one, or any number of things from her verses or otherwise.

i never had this issue years ago when i was in my horror circle of writing. and i'm not complaining about doing a bare minimum of tags to warn others, or putting things under a read more (which i've always done in general), or even asking ooc if they are actually chill with the content here. but i find it frustrating (when it's not amusing) that the warnings given on this blog and those little efforts still result in others feeling entitled to tell me how to behave in my space.
