Kyogre is one of the first people Deoxys has had a positive relationship with. At first, they were very wary of her due to her close connection with Rayquaza. It took a lot of time and conversation for trust to be built, and for Deoxys to see that Kyogre really did believe that Rayquaza was being unreasonable and unfair to the alien.

With Kyogre’s friendship with Deoxys, she has to be extra careful when Rayquaza does bring them up. She tries to steer him away from it without arising too much suspicion, like tipping him off that Kyogre knows Deoxys, their whereabouts, and that they’re friends. Kyogre has also tried to feed him false information, just to keep him off their trail like ‘maybe they could be in Meteor Falls?’, despite knowing that isn’t even close to being the case. There isn’t much else she can do besides that, as if he were to know where Deoxys was... Kyogre isn’t strong enough to stop him and the ensuing rampage.

Whenever she isn’t too busy, Kyogre will try to visit Deoxys given that they have chosen to isolate themself for their own safety. Usually she just visits to talk with them more than anything, as she can’t imagine how lonely they must get. Even if Deoxys does leave their island from time to time, it’s never for super long, and they make sure to avoid people the best they can.

If Rayquaza experiences cold temperatures for a long period of time, he’ll gradually get more sluggish and will refuse to move. If it lasts long enough, he’ll enter brumation until either he warms up more, or the temperature around him warms up. During brumation, he effectively sleeps, only waking every once in a while just to hydrate before going back to sleep. Thankfully, Hoenn is tropical and warm enough most of the year that this isn’t a huge issue. Rayquaza has likely only brumated a couple of times in his life, and honestly hates having to do so. It feels like a waste of time to him.

Sky Pillar is a place that the draconids originally built for Rayquaza. It was built following one of Groudon and Kyogre’s major, primordial fights, in the spot where Rayquaza’s first lorekeeper and champion summoned him. His worshipers built the tower by hand, painting a mural on it and decorating the inside. They knew Rayquaza as a solitary dragon that flew in the skies endlessly, but what happens when he grew tired? He needed a place to come back to, that was safe. The draconids placed a protective barrier around the tower, that only they and Rayquaza could come and go freely from. The tower would also be a summoning place for all future lorekeepers to call upon Rayquaza’s aid, and a place where the draconids could go to feel closer to the dragon.

Not only did the draconids build it, but they upkept it as well. Stones and brick that became too eroded or cracked were expertly and carefully replaced, keeping the tower from falling apart. The structural integrity was checked on twice a year, with major repairs being done in those times.

In modern times, hardly any draconid are remaining. Sky Pillar is a stark reflection of that damning realization, as many of the stones and bricks are falling apart. There are many holes in the walls, floors, and on the stairs. Those who are fortunate to enter must take great care, as even places that seem stable could easily crumble away with weight on it.

me realizing that after aster died yveltal showed up to escort her soul away and once rayquaza woke up he probably was VERY mad like BRING HER BACK BRING HER BACK!!!! CANT YOU BRING HER BACK

and yvel is just like hey. we both know why i cant do that. which made ray calm down but the exact opposite way where he just went from anger to crying immediately. and yveltal felt for him, he rly did. yvel is probably one of the only people besides giratina to see rayquaza openly sobbing his heart out. yveltal probably stayed with rayquaza for a few hours just to keep him company before he had to leave.

and the next time he saw rayquaza when he went to hoenn w serena, and learned about wally?? man. his heart probably felt so full knowing that rayquaza was able to heal and didnt close himself off, instead embracing the connection and treating wally like his own son. bc after what happened, yveltal would not have been surprised if rayquaza just tried to shut down that sort of thing, but the exact opposite happened!!!!

this got very rambly but anyways i just want u to know that yveltal and rayquaza have a very close brotherly-type bond and it is very very important thanks

Rayquaza has had a number of lorekeepers over the past few thousands of years. Many of them were also his champion, and he had a deep bond with them. All of them impacted his life in different ways, and he was torn and stricken with grief with each of their deaths. Some he got to spend years of his life with until they died of old age, while others had untimely deaths.

He did and still does care deeply for all his lorekeepers of the past, but Aster’s death specifically was what made Rayquaza feel like he was torn into pieces. Unlike the other lorekeepers, he had practically raised Aster since she was a child, after her parents were killed during an attempted kidnapping. While the other lorekeepers did feel like family to him, Aster was the first one he had a more parental relationship with.

Having her suddenly snatched away from him at such a young age, not to mention the bond they had was severed violently, was physically and emotionally agonizing. Rayquaza spent weeks recovering from the altercation itself, and the toll of her death as well. For many days, he could hardly even move.

As much as he hates it, and would never admit it, a tiny, tiny part is glad that there aren’t many left that can be his lorekeeper. He can’t deal with that level of grief and pain again, and it has worn on him considerably over the years. Rayquaza is someone who gets attached to people very quick and easily, and that absolutely can be said in regards to his lorekeepers.

Rayquaza tries to respect the territories of other legendaries, especially other legendary dragons. It would be rather hard for him to impose on say, Dialga and Palkia’s territories since those are in separate dimensions he can’t access, but he would never impose on a place like Sendoff Spring since that isn’t his business to be there. He doesn’t want to draw the ire of any legendary by overstepping in their space, and causing unnecessary conflict. Being extremely territorial himself, he gets it.

Friendly reminder that all of my dragon-type muses have VERY sharp teeth. Their canines and first premolars are very pointed and can tear through tough material/flesh very well. Even if they do happen to lose any of their teeth, a new one will regrow over the course of a few days to a week.
