I follow you because of Borderline, but I've been watching your responses to asks about your a/b/o fic and it sounds like you're really trying to be respectful of the trans experience. So thank you. As a trans person, a/b/o often feels very transphobic. I know some trans people like it but to me it just feels like a way for cis people to trans their blorbos without actually dealing with what it means to be trans because "oh its just a/b/o." Maybe some people can separate the two, but I can't.
I haven't read your fic but im glad to see that someone out there is putting so much thought into this. Also it's hilarious that your solution to the Snyderverse was "fix it with a/b/o."
Cheers
Hi anon! Thank you for popping in -- let me retroactively apologize to you and all other followers who aren't into the a/b/o asks. Please know you can blacklist any of my tags (a sky of honey or a/b/o mention) at any time.
I really appreciate you sharing your perspective here. I've seen the process you mention in action before, and I can see how hurtful that can feel to trans individuals. It's a very blurry area in fanfiction, I'm learning.
I think when I started with that original shitpost, it was genuinely because I thought Bruce's somewhat erratic behavior in BVS was hilariously, if somewhat seriously, better explained by him being a defensive, nesting omega who'd lost a pup. So I teased folks with the idea that knotting would solve the Snyderverse, but it was actually more about Bruce's relationship with his own gender identity and how it interacts with Jason's loss and his mission.
I think, outside of a/b/o smut fics, authors have a lot of trouble when writing about this topic, just because we have to do so much worldbuilding. I'm not saying you have to focus on the universe's discrimination or gender roles if you don't want to, but it's kind of inevitable if you're moving outside of smut. There's just so many implications I keep running into.
Above all else, I want to tell the story I have in my mind in the most respectful and considerate way possible. I want to talk about Bruce's, Jason's, and even Lex's challenges with their dynamics without diminishing the experiences of gender and gender expression others have.
Thank you for sending this ask, and I hope you and any other anons feel comfortable sending questions, criticisms, feedback, etc. I can't promise I'll answer every single one, but I promise I read and consider them.

People talk about needing to recognize terf rhetoric but I think y'all need to learn how to recognize proshxtter rhetoric too. I keep getting jumpscared by this stuff on my dash 'cus I blacklist proshxt-related tags so they stand out really easily. Even then often I'll see posts that say basically the exact same things as these proshxt posts that aren't tagged as such but I refuse to reblog them because I recognize the type of language used and the topics discussed.
Like bruh if people are complaining about "Puritanism" regarding fanfiction 9 times out of 10 they're just mad that people don't think there's any real benefit out of writing little jimmy x old man johnson smut fanfic with glorified prose going into detail on every stage of buttsex unless you're a groomer trying to use it to desensitize impressionable kids to pedophilia
they act like any form of fxcking moderation and standards is an attack against queer people, even when other queer people are complaining about this because most of us don't approve of kid diddlers either. Also Wattpad has rules and people still post gay mpreg constantly (which is not against the rules) so your point falls apart right there, stop trying to equate pedophilia with queerness you're setting our community back and playing into some of the very homophobic stereotypes that surround us. Just use a site that isn't ao3 for once in your lives and stop gaslighting yourselves into thinking that that's the only place where gay fanworks are allowed when clearly it's not. (No I am not blindly bashing ao3, I do think its tag filtering system is incredible and should be adopted by more websites in general because it really is a miracle for finding the kind of stuff you want. I'm just saying that I found it kinda pathetic how people treat it like any other site is fxcking 1984).
and these people act as if us not wanting child grooming material is equal to us saying that we don't think those topics should be covered at all. Obviously fxcking not, before any proshxtters try to say anything: I am literally one of the like three fans of the white day game series on here and those games cover some REALLY dark topics, including pedophilia. Among other things. The difference is in how it's handled. White Day covers it as a harsh reality and a dark facet of teenage life, one teen starts an affair with her art teacher and becomes pregnant, and she later takes her own life. Stuff like this does indeed happen in real life. And the game doesn't give detailed descriptions of sex scenes between them (which really isn't needed and doesn't benefit anyway except people who get off to it). It doesn't let itself become material used to perpetuate the very topic it discusses. Basically it's not gratifying.
i swear if I see like one more proshxt post on my dashboard I am going to actually try to make a guide to the dogwhistles and things to look out for, but for now I think I've discussed enough to make these posts a little more apparent. Obviously not everyone who reblogs these posts are proshxtters, but the inability to recognize the posts as being from these people is concerning.

🔪 this is a sideblog! if you see interactions from a blog called @halorocks1214 in your notifications, that's me :)
🩹 on that note, I go by Halo! I use she/her and he/him pronouns and am proudly aroace 💚💜
🔪 I'm one of those guys that has always been into whump as a kid—I REALLY enjoyed the kidnapping episodes in animated shows lol—but didn't have a name for that enjoyment until I got onto Tumblr and immediately felt at home with all y'all cool people 😎
🩹 as you may have seen by this blog's title and description, most of this blog's motif is sharing hurt/comfort content! I will be upfront and say that I project a loooot onto my faves, which is why I like to see them comforted so much (touch starvation is a bitch 😔) and in general prefer "soft whump" most of the time or explicit happy endings for the harder tropes i'm into
🔪 however, I still also enjoy whump because of its core foundation: being able to beat the shit out of your favorite character. sometimes, I will find something that does not have comfort in it that I want to share because it's simply too good not to! if all you're here for is that sweet sweet comfort, feel free to blacklist the tag #no comfort to avoid those sparse posts :)
🩹 outside of that, I tag art as #art and gifs as #gif as well as gifsets as #gifset when applicable; #whump trope for the posts that get more descriptive and #whump prompt for the posts that are more quotes/"fill in your characters here"-type interactions; #whump meme is self-explanatory and #whump community is for sharing love to all you lovely people out here browsing this corner of Tumblr; I occasionally tag #fave whumpee on characters that have stuck with me through the years (characters in the tag liable to change as time goes on); and of course, #~my stuff~ are the posts where I'm OP; #before whump was here is a cheeky tag I use for specific moments I remember feeling strong whumperflies for growing up but still had yet to learn about the term "whump" lmao
🔪 everything else is up in the air as tagging goes. I try my best to catch as many descriptors in a post as I can, but I'll admit some stuff could slip through. let me know if you think a post is missing something and I'll be sure to add proper tags 👍
🩹 my squicks are mainly things like pet whump, mind break, forced full-nudity, betrayal/broken trust between close characters (if it's because of a "twist villain" then that's fine), and heavy NSFW, so, for the most part, you won't see those on this blog, but my philosophy has always been that if it has comfort, I'm willing to give it a shot, so even if it's really rare, it could happen. remember to just let me know if I'm missing a tag!
🔪 my inbox is always open under the "💌 insert rambles here 💌" button if you ever wanna submit whumpy thoughts. I try to post everything I get, so feel free to hit me up! all answered asks regardless of what they contain will be tagged with #ramble tag
🩹 I will occasionally take requests in the form of "[A] replied to [B]" scenarios, sentence starters, or if you are feeling particularly nice, requests about my OCS! (questions and inquiries about them are always welcome regardless of request status) be sure to watch the "REQUEST:" blip in the description to see whenever they are open as I will switch "CLOSED" to "OPEN" to signify they are, and if they are open because of something like an ask game, I will convert the status into a link that will take you to the original game so you don't have to scroll through a bajillion things to get to it
🔪 as mentioned, this is 99% a SFW "soft" whump blog, but I still support my more NSFW and otherwise "dark" whumpers! I am a firm believer in that there is no "correct" way to enjoy whump. whatever your reason is that makes you enjoy it is valid and as long as you are properly tagging your content then keep on doing stuff that brings you joy :) we may not interact with each other all that often because of squicks or personal preferences, but just know that I will have your back and defend your right to write whatever you want ❤️‍🔥
🩹 I do believe those are all the topics I wanted to cover, so if you managed to make it this far, thanks for checking out my blog, and most importantly, the whump community in general! If you decide to stay, well, then hope you enjoy it to your fullest capabilities :D

Hey, it's that anon from earlier complaining about the tagging mistakes... I just wanted to apologize for blowing up at you like I did.
I really wasn't thinking about what I was saying, and I've just been going through it recently, so pretty much anything was about to set me off. I know that's no excuse to take it out on you, and I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt anyone. In my head at the time, I was giving valid criticism, but I see that I made a big mistake going about that the way I did. I was a complete and total asshole. I understand that you're only one person running this blog, so of course you won't be able to catch every mistake, and I'm ashamed of my ignorance and the way I acted.
Everyone else, please stop dogpiling me over this. I learned my lesson, I apologized, it's done, it's over with. I get it, I made a huge mistake. It wouldn't be the first time.
Either way, I hope you can forgive me. I'm a little embarrassed that not only did I have the audacity to say all of that stuff, but that it's now just on the internet for the world to see. Not that it's anyone's fault but mine. Thank you for your time, and I'm sorry once again. /gen
I don't know if you'll even see this but I'll try posting it anyways. Sorry it took so long, I wanted to think about what to say since I'd only get one chance.
This accidentally got long so there's a summary at the bottom. I know huge blocks of text can be difficult to parse. And a read more. Tada!
I accept your apology and understand you really did mean well. I know I fuck up tags fairly often and there are ways to mitigate that on my part. Like you suggested, double checking with a search is not impossible of me. Like I mentioned in a reblog of that post, I will make an effort in the future to search names and try to get it right the first time around. You were right to have sent that message. If you noticed and got irritated, I'm sure others have as well. I'm glad you went through the effort of sending a message about it. The point of tags is to ensure people can find their confessions. They can't do that if it's in the wrong place. I would disagree a bit, regarding memorizing sources and names. Yes I can recognize most names and sources, both stated and through confession context. I have done this long enough that it's usually accurate. But there are countless sources, names, and AU / fan created sources. I don't believe it's possible to memorize all of them. I think your suggestion of double checking with a search is reasonable and I will do so in the future. You seem very kind and compassionate, and I think you could understand where I'm coming from, regarding this.
[side note. You're not wrong about memorizing custom tags. I did have a little text document with custom tags and pre-typed names and sources. But at some point I stopped adding to it when it got overwhelmingly long and out of date when people stopped using their custom tags. Johnny Americanidiot, where you go? It also had reminders for what sources needed blacklist tagss. That didn't help the huge swathes of text that my eyes kept skipping over.... Anyways]
I am sorry you got dogpiled. I can understand where they are coming from, and I think they meant well too. I am glad to see people defending me. But I think at some point it went from blunt correction to outright bullying. Considering we get shit on by everyone who thinks kin people eat real gemstones because they're dragonkin, it really sucks to do that to each other. I hope we can all keep that in mind, going forward from here.
I will admit, and I don't mean this in a guilt trip way, that yeah that message did make me step back for a few days. I was more hurt over the tone than the correction. It made me wonder if doing this for so long made people take this blog for granted. You know what I mean? I've been here since 2016, on the first fictionkinfessions blog. Hell, I was a mod on the first @/kinfessions blog for a short while. I do this for fun, as far as typing tags and posting things others sent in can be considered fun. I always thought that if it was more trouble than it's worth, I'd just quit. Someone else can handle it until they felt it was time to pass it on. I don't think I've reached that point yet. I still like reading what people have to say and seeing people reach out, make connections through ask responses or reblogs or replies. It's endearing that they have a chance to do so.
[Not to get philosophical, but has anyone considered how lucky we are to exist simultaneously in this time and place? We get to live together and connect to each other, millions of miles apart. I think that's neat. Otherwise we'd all be that one Oddball in the Village who says they were once King Arthur /joking]
Anyways. I'm ok now. There was hurt and now it's gone. We're ok.
I promise I do take it seriously and make the effort. If I tag incorrectly or fail to tag a content warning, it's never on purpose. [excluding, you know, silly tags like 'ohio cw' or 'capitalism cw'. I think that's clearly intended as humorous and not sincere trigger warnings.]
The confessions are tagged, I don't delete confessions I personally don't like, the queue is always running, the followers list cleaned of spam bots, the activity page monitored for the very rare peer abuse [bullying], ask responses and such non-confessions usually get queued up asap, etc. Sometimes I think other people might be better suited for this just because they may not had adhd rearing its head. [Also not a guilt trip, I don't talk about my medical history much and I don't expect anyone to remember this tidbit. Also not an excuse, just a explanation as to why my memory does not work sometimes. Zest la vee.]
I don't know how to end this. Here is the summary.
In Summary
I accept your apology. Thank you for coming back and talking this out. I am sorry you were dogpiled and don't entirely agree with the amount of negative attention. I think it went past a reasonable limit of common courtesy at some point. I understand where you were coming from and I agree with what you said. I was hurt by your tone but I'm not any more. I will make the effort to double check names and sources. I hope whatever you were / are going through passes quickly. We'll be ok one day! I must believe!

can you tag nsft shit as "dc don't look" so i dont get in trouble at school /nf
i usually put reblogged stuff that's mature under the proper label, even when the original poster didn't, but when i'm binge reblogging, some stuff falls through the cracks and i apologise for that. the fact that i grew on the internet when sending each other videos of executions from the middle east and links to goatsie and rotten for shits and giggles also skews heavily what i consider appropriate or not. admittedly, not always for the best. i'll try to mass tag with xKit as nsft and minors dni and you can filter those out. if it doesn't work, i'll have to do that manually, which will take a little longer, so grant me some grace.
i'll use this as a reminder for everyone who follows me or who's planning to follow that I do post nsfw, as i find it pre-existing on the website. i do my best to isolate those posts, but as i said, the cracks are large and stuff slips. in the future, i might even post... let's say thirst traps, but i'll make another post as a reminder for followers to filter out the tag to be decided and community tag them properly to avoid people who shouldn't be seeing them seeing them.
so, to recap, i'll add nsft and minors dni and you can blacklist those tags. if that's not good enough, i think it's best you unfollow and only interact with my posts when they're "safe". I think i have you from the tma fandom and i'm often present in that tag (especially the nikola and jared ones), so you won't miss out on my ramblings. (If i'm wrong and i have you from malevolent, the same applies. i'm very easy to find when i want to.) stuff that is barely suggestive or ghoap fanart/other art with men kissing will not get that tag, because men kissing are no different from straight couples kissing and no one in their right mind would tag a straight couple kissing as nsfw. i refuse to treat queer orientations as fetishes. shibari/rope art where no integral nudity is present will not get tagged either, as shibari is a form of art and an expression of very precise technical knowledge first, and a sex practice second. or third. or tenth. At least as far as i'm concerned. i'm not here to convince anyone if they disagree, but this is non-negotiable for me.
thank you for bringing this to my attention and for your patience.

FINALLYYYY okay assassin’s creed + 1, 8, 16, 18
1. the character everyone gets wrong
answered here!
8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about
valhalla is not the worst ac game ever, just as odyssey was not the worst ac game ever before valhalla came along, just as origins was not the worst ac game ever before odyssey, and syndicate was not the worst before origins, and unity was not the worst game before s—[GUNSHOTS]
this happens literally every time a new ac title gets released. everyone hates the newest game until a newer one comes along for people to hate even more, and then proceeds to look back on the game they previously hated with fondness a few years later. rinse and repeat forever and ever. stop expecting the new games to give you what the ezio trilogy gave you. if you want unity, then go fucking replay unity. if you want black flag, then go fucking replay black flag. if you want the original, then go fucking replay the original. stop rating the games based on what they aren't and instead, rate them based on what they are. of course, none of this is to say that people aren't entitled to their own personal preferences, but the constant complaining makes me wonder if most of these people even like ac at all and in fact, just makes you sound like an insufferable, pedantic asshole.
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
reader inserts. not only would I Not Fucking Say That, most of the time the subject of the reader insert also Would Not Fucking Say That. they're almost always made to be so painfully out of character in order to fit into whatever story or preconceived au is being written, to the point where i often wonder if the author even likes or cares about the character they're writing for. personally, if i'm writing a character—especially one i like— i want to make sure i'm doing them justice, which is why i cannot fathom essentially borrowing a character's face and name and nothing else for the purpose of wish fulfillment. it's feels like these authors see all these characters as being completely interchangeable with one another and it drives me fucking crazyyyy.
the only reason i can really think of for not just writing an original work at that point is that using a pre-existing character also provides a pre-existing fandom for your work. but then you're also annoying the shit out of anyone, like me, who is going into a character tag because they want to see content about the actual character, not a 5k ooc smut fic that you couldn't even bother to put under a read-more!!! i cannot stress enough how much i literally would not give a single shit what people are doing with their own free time if the proliferation of those works didn't make every single character tag (and often actor tags as well, because some people will tag every character an actor has ever played in their fics as well, which qualifies as spam btw!!) on this site completely unusable. if i ever wanted to see x reader fics i would search for them specifically, but unfortunately there's also no blanket tag for me to blacklist. so i guess i'll just keep blocking new users until i die.
(yes, i know you said specifically ac and this is a bit more general but this relates to every fandom :/)
18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...
shut up!!!!! you know i'm gonna say leofrith. 😭 he is the It Girl he is the moment he's got everything!! he's got the kind of religious trauma that only being a christian with a martyr complex could give you. he's got dead parent trauma and a horribly one-sided relationship with his adopted father. he loves ceolbert like a son. the best friendism with hytham. he's literally a sister brother. the dog motif. he is so so deeply unwell. i know he's barely got a character arc to speak of in the game but consider: what if he did? he is everything to me i need to be able to beam the version of him that exists in my head directly into the people's brains or i'll die.
send me a number!

What dose this blog do?
Here's a list of what this blog dose and doesn't do!
(last update: 09/17/23)
We do:
Flag coining (making flags for pre-existing terms that do not have them)
Term coining (both gender and orientation)
Pronoun flag making
Name flag making
Make pronoun and name lists (with a theme. Your blog can count as a theme or i will randomly assign neopronouns i think would fit)
Aldernic based requests that borderline leak into transx/transspecies things(like wanting an unnatural blood color, eye color or unnatural skin tone. Not too much deeper than that because it's aldernic, not transid.)
We don't do:
Flag/term searching. (We aren't good at it)
Blog/donations posts/petition boosting/event boosting (it isn't the purpose of this blog. This may be broken for muturals or for event posts but mostly, for the latter, only if we are participating in said event)
Icons/art/banners/etc
Aesthetic flags ( ex: fall themed flags, frog themed flags, etc)
System origins (may coin alter roles or system related content but not origins)
Things not tagged with ❌ on our blacklist
Make a tag list/tag someone in terms related to them consistently. Though we appreciate when other's tag us in stuff, we heavily struggle with memory related things so we wont remember who gets tagged in what unless they are a very close mutual and even then there is no garentees.
Stuff related to real people. (There's a few exceptions like Markiplier egos or if its related to a live action/specific actor playing a specific character but exceptions won't be made often to this rule.)
Anonymous requests of closed culture/disorder specific flags and terms that we aren't apart of. If you can link your account to prove your x, I'll accept requests about x.
Askbox
Requests: closed
Questions/conversation: open

Blog advice: Never share personal information? I personally wouldn't inform people about your triggers (sometimes people send them on purpose) Just blacklist the triggering thingy tag
I guess also don't post if you're not sure about something. You can always post something later, but it's much harder to take something down after you posted it.
Ultimately your blog is just for you. It's not FOR anyone else. Just you. Reblog what you want, organize how you want, talk to who you want to (as long as they're okay with it). Don't worry about people's opinion. Just be safe, and have fun.
Hope this helps! ⭐️
Okay I will take your advice, thank you.
I will say the first advice I had made that mistake before (multiple times) and I regretted it...🫤 I won't go into details but I'll just say I won't be necessarily voicing about things that are "triggering" to me cuz some people don't respect it or understand.
The second advice, I also do that too much which I don't know why I do that but I always post or reblog things and end up deleting it especially if I feel it wasn't worth anyone's time like negative posts or irrelevant things like ask games or something trivial; I'll try not to do that too much because it should be more of post it and that's it not post and delete it lol.
And the last advice I need to definitely take into thought because I think often I try to make my blog more for others than myself because people care more for the stuff they like or what's popular than original characters and all that so I'll try and take this advice more.
Thank you again for the advice anon. 🖤

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT
Honor System - If you do not list your age or age range (minor/adult) in your header or pinned, I will assume you are an adult and treat you accordingly unless and until I am given evidence to the contrary. I am making every reasonable effort to be clear about what this blog is for and avoid minors where I can; if you are not comfortable making a similar effort on your own blog, that's okay - just be honest with me and yourself, and stay away or let me know if you're a minor. It's as much for my own security as it is for yours.
Bots Are Scum - I've been auto-followed by at least fifty different bots since I started this blog a couple months ago, and blocked every single one. If your blog looks like it's a bot, I will block you.
Double-Checking - I will check the header and pinned post of each blog that follows me to make sure they adhere to the DNI list below. This is my personal blog, and I will maintain the space around it as best I can. This isn't about being hostile or paranoid; it's me looking after myself and my peers.
Be Cool - I can and will block blogs for abusive behavior, even if they don't fall under any of the DNI flags below. Don't be a jerk. I don't have time for it.
See Something, Say Something - If there's something I post or reblog that you need me to tag in the future, or if you think I've forgotten a tag on an existing post, please let me know right away so I can fix it. This goes for triggers, sensitive subjects, spoilers for old content, and characters/series you just plain don't like. It also goes for things you want to be able to find more easily!
Inclusivity Doesn't Include Hate Groups - This blog is pro-BLM, pro-ACAB, pro-LGBTQIA+, and pro-reproductive rights, often aggressively so. If any of that bothers you, go away, we don't like you.
DO NOT INTERACT 🔞⚠️
Minors (US standard, so no one under the age of 18 - not everything on this blog is for kids, and honestly even if it was sometimes tweens get a little annoying)
Transphobes, homophobes, antisemites, misanthropes, misogynists, racists, bigots, pro-birthers, etc (if you hate another group purely because they are different from you and/or seek to strip another group of their human rights, stay far away from me and maybe go walk into the ocean)
Antivaxxers
P3dophiles
Apologists (this includes sealions, gaslighters, goal post movers, and what-abouters - I'm not going to "discuss" my extremely justified hatred of someone who's actual garbage, go have a poor-faith debate with somebody else)
Pearl clutchers (adults who think ns/fw or deep topics simply don't belong on public websites at all because kids or sensitive adults might find it - if there are kids interacting with my posts specifically it's on them for not adhering to the publicly accessible DNI list, and adults have no excuse for not blacklisting or blocking without interacting)
Purity stans (adults who think writing something in a fictional piece means the author must surely be endorsing that something - nobody in their right mind would accuse any of the writers who worked on Nightmare on Elm Street of being totally down with torture and murder because that's ridiculous and everyone knows it)
If there's anything you think I should add, let me know and I'll make sure to update this bad boy. Stay cool. ✨

Ngl, I had to look up Stockdale Paradox. Lol. I was like, "Oh... There's a name for that..." It's interesting how when we name or label things, it feels less abstract and the concept is easier to build on. Anyway, your Gorou fic idea definitely sounds interesting. :)
Speaking of names, I think it's a good idea if you have one, but I'm terrible at coming up with them. I often use a name generator for my fics if I need one. I was paralysed when we had to name Wanderer even though I thought it was so cool because, like you said, he got "a name picked from friends." Maybe you could do a poll at some point with names you have in mind? Whenever Tumblr rolls that out?
I totally understand the reason for your 6 side-blogs. I had to weigh the pros and cons of making a sideblog as well. lol. As for what I'd suggest... you can consider that people can filter out certain tags from their dash if they really want to, but I don't know if it's common practice. I personally filter the interaction tag for a few blogs because they get a lot of asks I don't care much about. I also just scroll past a lot of things on my dash, so don't underestimate your followers simply doing that as well.
- @mimi-cee-genshin
names are truly important things (proceeds to not have a name, lol). i'm glad you are interested in it! i hope my writing does the idea justice! i hope i can work on it.......
if you don't mind sharing, what did you name wanderer? it was super tough trying to find a name... i avoided the archon quest for a while because of that, haha. i think by the time i have access to polls, people will naturally associate me with a name, lol.
my obsession with sideblogs started because i was annoyed to see most of my dash being content i blacklisted. i think some people won't be happy if they followed a blog for writing but got spammed with something else, which is why i created a masterlist sideblog too.
i'll think about it! thank you for sharing :)

You followed be back after I followed you and then unfollowed me a few days later?
I'm assuming that this is a question about why I unfollowed you again.
Short answer: come off anon, and I will tell you exactly which post it was that you put on my dash that made me decide I didn't want to see more of you.
But because this is something I have strong feelings about, because I've had a bunch of asks about this that I've ignored, and because you were only slightly rude, the longer answer is: fanfiction, and fandom as a whole, is a hobby of mine. I do this to unwind, to have fun, to enjoy myself. As such, I'm very, very particular about curating my experience on here. If someone follows me and I feel up to it, I'll check their blog to see if I might want to follow back (side note: a lot of times I won't have the time or energy and won't do this at all). I won't follow back if the initial scroll of someone's profile shows me they have a bunch of stuff I don't care about, or has takes about my favourite shows and/or characters I disagree with.
I will block someone if they have nothing on their blog, if they display antisemitism, racism, transphobia, queerphobia, etc., or if they so much as vaguely allude to buying into the belief that 'some' ships or themes in fiction are immoral. Yes, that includes the "icky stuff". Yes, this includes the stuff I personally don't want to read. If you think that there are any topics in fiction and/or fanfiction that people shouldn't write about or enjoy, I will block you on sight.
Again, this is my hobby. I do not use tumblr for politics or whatever. This doesn't mean I don't care, it simply means that I consider tumblr the worst possible medium to do anything about it. In a broader sense, beyond specific topics: you're entitled to your opinion. I'm entitled to thinking that you are mighty stupid, and to prevent myself from having to deal with your bad takes.
If I haven't blocked you but only unfollowed, you probably posted and/or reblogged takes about shows, books, or characters I care about that I don't agree with. I cannot say this often enough - I am here to have fun. I'm not here for discourse, I'm not here to see people drag things that bring me joy. I'm not saying you're wrong, even if the petty part of me thinks you are. You are here to have fun too. But I don't want to see it, plain and simple. I don't have to. If you get on my nerves through the tags or through other people's reblogs, I will block you for this too. Yes, I'm merciless about this; the number of blogs I've blocked goes far, far into the upper hundreds, and this isn't counting tags and blacklisted words.
This is called 'boundaries'. I'm an adult at the far end of my twenties. I have a work life, and an academic life, and a family life, and a social life, and a life dedicated to my hobbies and the things I care about, etc etc. There is only so much time I am able to spend on here, and I want to spend that time being happy about the stuff I enjoy. I don't care if you disagree - it is your godgiven right. Mine is not to engage with it.
Now, you might say, there is no way that none of my mutuals ever put something on my dash that I disagree with. And that's true. Sometimes, someone I've come to value as a friend puts something on my dash that makes me go 'bestie wtf is up with you.' Unfortunately for you, I guess, I'm human and there is this thing of 'stuff I will tolerate from my friends and/or people I like, but not from strangers.' I am lucky enough to have made some great friends on here. On top of that, there are some people I have rarely talked to but whom I am fond of anyway. They get some leeway, although that being said, that too has its boundaries.
If I have only followed you a few days ago, though, and you put something on my dash that makes me pull a face, I will unfollow you. Consider yourself important enough that it was so bad, I clicked on your profile to do so. Consider that it wasn't so bad that I actually blocked you.
Now, is this 'fair' in an ethical, equitable sense? No. I nowhere, ever, claimed to be that, while curating my goddamn tumblr feed. I'm not the government. I don't have to be. You don't have to be! You can unfollow, hell, even block people because they reblogged that one post that really raises your hackles. In fact, I do think you will be happier for it.
This is supposed to be fun. if anything about it isn't fun, get rid of it. It's not a debate in congress. It's a barely functioning hellsite about fictional brainrot that doesn't let any of us go, but that we love despite (or, actually, because of) that. Just block me. It's a little bit vindictive and feels great, I promise.

681189287211958272 Hell no. I'm not sitting back and letting you post that shit without consequences, and I'm in a big mood, so you're going to get the full lecture from me, congratulations. Listen here: asking someone to change their threads with me to simpler formatting might be fine if I didn’t follow them, but many roleplayers want to follow their rp partners. What the hell do you expect me to do about all their other posts with overformatting? Every overformatted PSA and meme? Every thread with their partners who overformat? Do you expect my partners to tag every single post for me? Do you expect me to blacklist every new url they start threading with? Do you expect me to constantly be on edge because maybe, just maybe, they'll forget to tag something one time, and I'll see something, and it will trigger an attack that leaves me out of commission for weeks? Unable to work? Can you imagine how massive my blacklist would need to be, and how often I would need to keep updating it? And even if I was okay with not following someone, what happens if I want to catch up on their new headcanons? I guess I'll have to bug them to paste all their posts for me on discord? What a mess! I'm always out of the loop, and that feels horrible. Sure, Jan, that’s not stressful or demoralizing at all.
I’ve asked people to tag everything before, because assholes like you have goaded me into thinking I should suck it up and communicate, and nobody wanted to honor it, because virtually every single post needed to be tagged. One mistake and it was migraine hell for me. I didn’t want to risk people forgetting, and they didn’t want to risk forgetting and being responsible for my attack. And what about all the blogs I see when I browse tumblr like normal? How many people have you seen actually tag for eye strain on their overformatted posts so someone can blacklist it? I count one blog, out of hundreds. I can’t even look at unknown blogs unless I have someone confirm that it's safe for me. I’ve had migraine from gifs people don’t think to tag, from fonts people don’t think to tag, from people I don’t even follow, even though I've taken every precaution tag-wise. Gee, you wonder why people are frustrated with the formatting bullshit, and now only follow people who, like them, couldn't ever imagine formatting like that, or having it on their blog at all. Asking someone to only change my threads with them does dick. And you know how frustrating it is to constantly be reminded that almost everyone in the RPC doesn't give a rat's ass about you, because if they did, they would at least put an eye strain tw at the top of their blog for people like me? "Not many people have migraine", you might say. Guess what? 30% or more of the American population is estimated to have migraine, 1 in 5 women and 1 in 6 men, and that's only the people who have come forward about it. 148 million people worldwide.
Great, you have a sight impairment, you can’t fucking see things well. Maybe you can risk seeing a post because the biggest consequence for you is sore eyes and a headache if you force yourself to stare at it and strain to read. You're not the universal example of accessibility or disability. I’m not going to risk feeling like I’m dying and wanting to take a jackhammer to my skull when I see a post briefly. Migraines aren't "just headaches" either, so if you think I can just pop off an Advil to get rid of it, do I have fucking news for you. There are support lines for people with migraine because depression (and worse) is sky high, they are hard to treat if not impossible, and the management options suck. Half the time, they don't even work. You clearly don’t realize how little it takes to set off a debilitating attack that can leave me in pain for days, if not months. An attack that can leave someone in severe pain (icepick headache), unable to move (hemiplegia), unable to see (visual aura), unable to speak or communicate (aphasia, like what is happening to Bruce Willis), unable to be in light areas (photophobia), with ringing ears (tinnitus), nauseous out of their damn mind, with digestive issues, and almost useless from brain exhaustion and fatigue for weeks after the initial attack (postdrome), and I guarantee it can take a lot less effort to trigger that, than whatever happens to you because you're "losing your vision". You don't know what it's like to be in public, see some flashing shit on your phone, start getting aura, and realizing you have about thirty minutes to get your ass home or else you're in deep shit. I know for a fact if you were in my shoes, you wouldn't be such a prick. The amount of ableism and ignorance in your post made my eyes roll right out of my head, and I don't think they're coming back, they're in outer space now. I say this with great feeling: sit your ass down and shut up.
In response to this submission.

Tags, where you often type extra words after main posts. People will tag sensitive subjects, like "Sexual content" or "Alcohol mention". Various things for the blacklisting system. That way I can follow people, but my blacklist will protect me from triggering content. I grew up in a house where animals were abused, it's just triggering to see animals getting hurt if I don't have to.
I should have asked you just to tag them instead of demanding you to not to post it. (Well, I didn't mean to be demanding, I didn't realize others would defend animals being hurt. I only sent an ask as multiple friends were also uncomfortable.) I asked someone else to tag their posts too, and they refused so I had to block them, unfortunately.
There's no hard feelings, I ask people to tag because I still appreciate the rest of their content (Or friendship). If they don't want to, I just unfollow. (Or block if they're rude as well.)
Don't use the actual community labels because then people don't even get the option to opt in or out. It will hide your posts from most, rather just people who blacklist a tag.
Thank you for deleting it, though I saw you reposted it. Good luck for the future, I'll unfollow. Always alright to post anything you want on your blog, I was too brash because I was "triggered". I am responsible for what I see, hence the ask for tagging, and if they don't I just leave. No big deal, I didn't mean for this to be something more lol
And you're leaving just like that, without even knowing at least who I have to say goodbye to? Jeez... I really can't believe all of this, seriously.
I mean, it's horrible what you've been through at your home, I understand your pain, and I'm sorry for that. But… can't you distinguish between animal abuse and the natural behavior of an animal? Do you understand that that darn GIF doesn't show animal abuse? Can't you see a cat hunting a bird? Because it's clearly visible. I mean yes, poor bird… but it's the fucking nature, sweetie. Cats hunting birds, cats hunting mice, it's what they do in their natural -and wild- state. Let's not even talk about Animal Planet, right?
How many times have you visited my blog? Obviously very few (I'd say never). How many times have I posted content about animal abuse? Do you think I'm capable of posting content about animal abuse? (I scold my son when he wants to step on an ant, ffs).
Anyway, whoever you are, was a pleasure and I wish you all the best.
See you.

Rules & Regulations~
Tumblr media
Every good start has some rules, right right~? This blog is run by Yuan (She/They/He). I'm 30+ and you might've seen me around before, I've been off and on this site for over a decade ♡ I'm fairly laid back, so there isn't too much by way of rules--! Just be nice and respectful and we'll have a great time! ♡
Carrd Bio
1. Don't be a bully / fancop- I don't want to see anyone spreading harassment or bandwagoning hate. I will tag all the major things I can think of, with hopes people will blacklist things (not that I'm expecting to write seriously weird/taboo themes on an Orologia blog of all places!) This also means I really, really don't care about callout posts - they're often petty and ugly.
I don't want to hear about how so and so is writing stuff you don't like. I'll decide for myself who I'm comfortable interacting with plzkthx~ ♡ 2. I'm fairly busy, so please respect that - I might not respond right away! Sorry about that, but life is a busy busy thing. If it's been over a week feel free to ask if I've forgotten your reply, I'm pretty forgetful, but please be patient! 3. Standard RP etiquette applies - I'll accept in character asks from anons but for actual RP I do prefer paragraph format. Bantering in one liners is fine too if it's not a thread. I just really love writing so thank you! Thank you~!
4. 18+ only! - I'm too old to feel comfortable writing with minors, sorry! You can follow and such but I want my writing partners to be adults.
About Orologia: Orologia is genderfluid by nature. Their pronouns will shift as I write because of this!
They are a generally good bean and because they've spent so much time running simulations they understand more about mortals than their younger siblings - but they are still emotions experienced from the perspective of an immortal godlike entity. If anything, with the way I write them, their alignment can be summed up as chaotic neutral, leaning good. They want the best ending for the skies and that means some difficult choices had to be made.
While they know they can never replace important bonds in people's lives, they still want to do their best to act as a guiding pillar.

I really felt it when patroclus said “I could recognise him by touch alone,by smell I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth, I would know him in death,at the end of the world” :")
