misread a prompt about being the last human on earth. still wrote a short story. enjoy.
My name is Sophie Smith. I am the last human on earth, and this is my report for June 28, 2070, day 456 of monitoring. General population: one. Changes since the last report: none. Maintenance work completed.
I save the file for today's report on my memory implant and shift my focus back to the monitor in front of me. A familiar black screen with a familiar white outline of the world map. One small red dot keeps blinking on it, in the middle of a region described as "European Union." If you were to zoom in, you would see that it is located in the middle of a town called Berlin, marked as the capital of a state called Germany.
Not that those things still mean anything anymore.
Zooming out again and seeing the empty map, it seems strange they ever did.
At the beginning back in 2069, there used to be 8.9 Billion red dots. One for every beating heart, monitored from above by space-link satellites. Now only mine remains.
I had singed up to monitor them quite early after the omega variant broke. After wasting years of my life on a - in face of the apocalypse utterly worthless - degree and an even more worthless PhD thesis, it felt like doing something real, and the task was simple: Monitor the development, stay in touch with the other stations all around the world and file a report for each shift.
At first, there were many of us, all in some way believing that we would help save humanity by observing trends and giving out warnings. Instead, we just became the chroniclers of it's decay.
Many didn't even fully witness the first month. The virus was cruel, but at least it took you fast.
You could leave your house feeling great in the morning, only to collapse coughing on the sidewalk before arriving at your bus stop. Or you could get up to make tea in the isolation of your own home, all doors closed and windows shut, and grasp for air on the kitchen floor minutes later. There was no cure, no vaccine, no distancing measure that helped. The virus cut through us like a scythe through a field of weeds, and it soon was more than clear that no amount monitoring would change that. Some volunteers quit. More died. But through a weird twist of fate, I stayed alive.
And I kept going to work, day after day after day, even after the government that had hired me stopped existing, the subway train I used to take became a fighting ground for rats and my shadow was the only one left to walk beside me in the once busy city streets.
And so did the others, who, when I called in "here Berlin, please respond" answered me with "here Warsaw" "here Seoul" "here Mexico-City" "here Tel Aviv". And the less we were, the more we talked. About our lives before. About the people we had loved and lost, about the places we had called home and the dreams we had dreamed, about our favourite books and movies and dishes, about god and fate and about which birds who saw outside their window.
Mostly, I think, it wasn't about what was spoken. It was about hearing another human voice, and the reassurance that you weren't alone that came with it.
And so, we were there to witness as one by one, more of the blinking red dots disappeared. Just like one by one, someone else among us started to cough. It was an unwritten, unspoken and yet unbreakable rule that none of the rest commented when it happened. Some decided to ignore it until their last moments. Most said goodbye. One of us, Alexey, fircely insisted the air in his office was simply too dry when he got the cough. Of course, we all wanted to believe that it was. But only minutes later, the transmission from his channel ended, and one of the at this point 5 remaining red dots in Kyiv vanished.
Like all of theirs did, eventually.
And yet.
"Here Berlin, please respond", I whisper. For the protocol. For the false, poisonous hope that there has been some kind of bug in the system and that someone might still answer. Of course, no one does.
And even though I expected it, the following silence crushes me once again. A lonely tear rolls down my cheek as I rip the headphones off. Just like the voices in them used to be the undeniable proof that I wasn't alone, the static in the channel now is the undeniable proof that I am.
To distract myself, I get up and open the window. It would be easy to jump onto the empty street and make a final exit like that. All things considered, it's a miracle I am still sane enough to not consider this opinion. Even though… probably at this point death would be the sane choice. But something in me still wants to keep going, wants to hold out for as long as I can. It might be irrational, but I feel like this is what I am owe them. All 8.9 Billion.
Unaffected by my dark thoughts and humanities decay, a small sparrow lands on the window stil. It must have flown over from the tree across the street, where a family of them has build their nest.
Diah would have loved to hear that their little ones are now learning to fly.
Diah. She was last one to leave, and the pain of loosing her still feels like a fresh wound. It had only been us for quite some time, and we had stopped logging out or even taking off our headphones. We even, of course disguised as jokes, had started planning how we could meet. We could find a still functional high-speed train and somehow make it work. We could both steal cars. We would just start walking towards each other and meet in the middle between New Delhi and Berlin.
But of course, we wouldn't. And when her time came, the virus didn't even give a warning. One moment, I was listening to her beautiful voice. The next, there was silence. And only one blinking dot left on the monitor. Maybe she didn't even notice that she died. Only I did. Like I noticed so many deaths before. Maybe that is the only advantage of my situation now. The only death I still will have to witness is my own.
Before I can sink deeper into my thoughts, suddenly, I see them. Or to be precise, actually, I hear them first. Voices. Human voices. "I still can't believe it's only been two years since we left," one of them says, "Just look at this mess. Good thing we got out of here early." "Right?!" the other one responds laughing. "And I thought the time on board was stressful, especially towards the end. But it's nothing against whatever the hell happened here."
Humans. Walking, talking, joking humans.
This can't be real. I rush to look at the monitor. Still only one lonely dot. I must have finally gone insane, not being able to stand the thought that I was last anymore. But when I lurk outside again, they are still there, and now close enough for me to recognize more details. Black uniforms with a silver star, black face masks and both carrying a PreciseWeapon. Space-link personal.
Days ago, Diah and I both saw what we had believed to be a small meteor. Instead, it must have been their shuttle entering the atmosphere. I am not insane. This makes sense. This is real. I know that probably should feel relief. Or happiness. Or pride. It surely would make sense to feel that way. After all, I just learned that humanity might still prevail despite everything.
This should be a triumph, or least salvation. And yet, all it feels like is betrayal. "Two years since we left" the man had said. Two years ago, the omega variant hadn't even been discovered. Or at least so I had thought.
'Thank God we got out of here early.'
They knew all along, soon and well enough to "get out early". If the earth had been a house on fire during the last years - as often depicted in political cartoons back when there were still people who drew such things and other who looked at it- they had always known the fire would come. But instead of warning the rest of us, they had snuk out of the house at night, watching it go up in flames from a safe distance. And now, where the dust had settled, they had come back to inspect the ruins and dig through the remains. Only that I was still here. A living dead, covered in ashes with burns on my skin. Still breathing, but surely not nice to look at. So why would they come to pick me up now?
Suddenly, the dominos cascade in line and I sink back into my chair as the realization hits me. They are space-link. The satellites are space-link. They don't show up on the monitor because they are not supposed to. And the PreciseWeapon is meant for me. I shiver. That's why Diah died so sudden and silent.
The virus didn't get her. They did, with one precise shot in the back.
For a moment, I consider running. But just a moment. They could easily track me, and I don't want to spent my last moments being dragged out of a hiding place, nor do I want a bullet in the back.
No.
I want them to look me in the eye. And I want them to know that I know.
I get up from my desk and turn away from the black monitor with the lonely red dot. The door swings open, and the black uniforms enter. They look just like you would think they'd look. Painfully ordinary, with faces reddened by excitement. For just a moment, I see a hint of surprise in their eyes. Then, the uniform on the right nods at the uniform on the left, who reaches for his weapon. If he feels any doubt, he is good at hiding it.
"Go ahead." I say. My voice is calm and firm. I can't say much, not in the short time it takes him to charge, aim and fire. But what I say, I mean. "I already died 8.9 billion times. One more won't matter."
I feel a numb pain as the projectile hits my chest, and then the edge of my table as I stumble backwards against it. And then, just before I hit the ground and my senses fade, I hear it. A cough. A familiar, dry cough. A cough I heard more times than I could count. And that is now coming from the direction of my shooter.
My name is Sophie Smith. I am the last human on earth. And this concludes my final report.

How OPERATION SCARIANT 2023 is being used to launch Plandemic 2.0 Plandemic 2.o is an integral piece of the Great Reset implementation plan and New World Order agenda to be executed in earnest this Fall of 2023. OPERATION SCARIANT, which features the extremely ‘scary’ Omincron subvariant known as Eris, is the main show for folks who are still captivated by this ridiculous government-sponsored but extremely serious genocidal enterprise.
Nevertheless, there are numerous reasons why the Khazarian genocidal bioterrorists are hellbent on rolling out Plandemic 2.0 this Fall. The following list presents only some of the most significant NWO goals, WEF objectives and WHO targets. (1) To cover up the massive excess death numbers directly resulting from the ongoing Covid vaccine genocide across America (and global depopulation scheme)
(2) To stealthily kill vaccinated children who are now much more vulnerable to the bacterial infections associated with Eris (aka Omicron [B.1.1.529] a subvariant of SARS-CoV-2
(3) To intensify the slow-motion slaughter of vaccinated 20 to 45 year-olds who are now much more susceptible to myocarditis, pericarditis, blood clots and other fatal heart ailments
(4) To further turbo-charge the numerous medical ailments and health conditions, chronic diseases and autoimmune syndromes, psychological disorders and psychiatric illnesses across the entire population, all of which have seen HUGE upticks post-Covid vaccination
(5) To murder as many retirees as possible in order to reduce the Social Security & Disability, Medicare and Medicaid rolls
(6) To massacre as many individuals, who suffer from multiple comorbidities and/or terminal diseases, who are still living after Plandemic 1.0
(7) To eliminate as many Baby Boomers as possible as well as the Beat Generation elderly, especially the anti-establishment types
(8) To provide maximum distraction from the many Democrat crime sprees being investigated by the House
(9) To divert the attention of the electorate from the multiple crime waves perpetrated by the Biden Crime Family and especially by the POTUS Imposter and Criminal-in-Chief
(10) To create maximum chaos, confusion and conflict throughout the last year of the 2024 election cycle so that the Democrats can steal yet another POTUS election, as well as to set the stage for a long-planned American Bolshevik revolution
(11) To provide a pretext to deploy yet another highly weaponized and lethal Covid ‘vaccine’ by which to rapidly intensify Plandemic 2.0.
(12) To significantly supercharge the previously administered kill-shots, clot-shots and cancer-shots thereby increasing SADS and SIDS as well as excess deaths across the board
(13) To sufficiently scare the American people back into the same space of extreme fear and anxiety about the COVID-19 contagion so they will fully submit to the Covid Super Vaccination Agenda (and demand that everyone they know get vaxxed to the max)

“Hey Doc?” Jess slid up beside you at the nurses station where you were reviewing charts. “That one kid from Boston is here for the trial? She’s that special case?”
“Oh right,” you said. “God, thank you for reminding me. Swear I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached this week, I’m just all over the map.”
You’d been scrambling for weeks to get everything in place for the first clinical trial the hospital was facilitating since the COVID-19 pandemic. You hadn’t fully realized just how much the pandemic had taken out of you before that, just how much had changed.
It was like you’d been in total crisis mode for a year, all the time. It had damn near fried your brain. You basically lived at the hospital. When you were home, you slept in the garage, where Joel had set up a cot and TV and a loveseat, too afraid of getting him or Evie sick to go in the house. You smiled at your husband and daughter through glass, wanting more than anything to just touch them. The second everyone was vaccinated, Joel held you for hours, clinging to you like a man at sea clings to a life raft.
It was so hard, now, to do anything normal. Your mind kept scattering, trying to find the crisis that needed solving first before it could do anything like planning or building things out. Arranging the trial had been an uphill slog.
“What’s this kid’s name again?” You asked.
“Ellie,” she replied. “She’s a character, I think you’ll like her.”
Jess knocked once on the door to the hospital room and opened it. Inside was a small girl, maybe 12, playing a video game on the TV. Something where she was shooting zombies. You smiled a little. She paused it.
“Hi Ellie,” Jess smiled. “I wanted to introduce you to Dr. Miller, she’s going to be running your trial and the lead doctor on your case.”
“Hi Ellie,” you smiled. She looked you up and down.
“Hi,” she said. “So you’re the one who’s going to go poking around with my blood and junk?”
“Yup,” you popped the p. “We’re going to run some tests, steal as much blood of yours as we can to feed the vampires in the basement, and then hopefully get you so that you’re not coming in and dealing with people like me quite so much. Sound good?”
She considered you seriously.
“You really think you can make a difference?” She asked. “Because going to the hospital all the time is kind of bullshit.”
You laughed a little.
“Yeah, that must get old real quick,” you said. “And it’s probably not fun having to give up your blood and stuff all the time, huh?”
“Yeah, that part really sucks,” she slumped back in her pillows.
You frowned, getting the sense that she wanted to say something else.
“Want to tell me all the stuff that sucks about it?” You asked, coming and sitting on the edge of her bed. “I might be able to help.”
“Can you help find me parents who will deal with taking me to the hospital all the time if this doesn’t work?” She asked. “Because I’m pretty sure having a broken kid is a deal breaker when the people who want to adopt someone start shopping around.”
Your heart broke a little in that moment. Her face was hard, her small chin jutting out defiantly, but she was hurting. You knew she was.
“Well if they wouldn’t take care of you when you’re not feeling well, they’re not the kinds of parents you’d want anyway,” you said.
“How would you know?” She muttered.
“I don’t have parents either,” you shrugged. She looked at you, skeptical. “And not just because I’m old. I never had parents, my dad left before I was born and my mom left two months after she had me. It sucks, I get it.
“But trust me, there are a lot of parents I see in here who are good and a lot who aren’t. And the not good ones? It’s better to have no parents than them,” you said. “So really, you just have built in protection. Immunity from the extra crappy parents.”
She laughed once.
“Maybe I should keep the screwed up blood then,” she said.
“Nah, think we’ll fix that,” you said. “Make sure you’re all set and ready to take it easy once you’re a grown up. Just give all the potential parents a really tough questionnaire. See if you can trip them up. You seem smart, I think you can weed them out with enough practice. OK?”
“OK,” she half smiled at you.
The rest of the day went by and your mind kept drifting back to Ellie. You grabbed Jess on her way down to the cafeteria.
“Hey,” you said quickly. “Ellie, where is she staying while she’s here for the trial?”
“One of the group homes,” she said. “It’s not ideal but it’s the only arrangement we could come up with and the trial would be really good for her…”
You nodded slowly and thanked her before ducking outside and calling Joel.
“Hey Baby,” he answered. You were almost surprised. His contracting business had picked up quite a bit in recent years and he spent most of his days running from job site to job site to manage progress. He couldn’t always answer the phone on the job.
“I know you’re busy so I’ll make it quick,” you said. “How would you feel about becoming foster parents?”
Tuesday, October 5, 2021
You got your third daughter for your 43rd birthday.
Jess had helped speed you and Joel through the process to get approved to take her home, Sarah almost strangely OK with you dismantling her old room to make it something Ellie would like, excited about getting her new sister.
You’d given Ellie your tablet one day during lunch, letting her go on Amazon and pick out bedding and decorations for her room. You’d had to transfer care for her to another doctor - though she still got to stick with the trial - but it was worth it.
She and Joel became such fast friends it almost made your head spin. You introduced the two one day when he came by to meet you for lunch. Ellie was playing her zombie game and he asked if he could join in.
“Don’t want you dragging my stats down,” she said.
“Think I can keep up,” he replied. She looked skeptical but handed him the second controller, anyway. Joel, you were happy to say, did surprisingly well. He even tallied more kills than Ellie did.
“No way,” she said. “We’re trading controllers, mine doesn’t work right.”
“Tellin’ ya,” he said. “Nothin’ to do with the controller and everything to do with how you handle the scenario…”
He traded controllers anyway. He bested her a second time, shrugging with a slight smile.
“You dick!” She laughed. He laughed back.
When you left the room he put his hands in his back pockets and sighed.
“Can’t let her go to a group home,” he said. “Just throw her in the car and bring ‘er home, fuck the rules.”
You kissed him, not sure you’d ever loved him more.
“Oh cool, you didn’t say you had a pool!” She ran to the sliding glass door, pressing her nose against it before looking back at you. “Can you teach me to swim?”
“Sure,” you smiled. “Might be a little cold to now but…”
“Think I can handle it,” she replied.
You showed her around the house, introduced her to Evie, left her to settle into her room and sat next to Joel on the couch.
“Happy birthday, Baby,” he kissed your temple. “Been a good one?”
“Oh cool!” Ellie stuck her head into the hall. “There’s a freaking telescope in here?”
She ran back into her room.
You smiled.
“Pretty damn good.”

Tuesday, August 29, 2023
Joel wasn’t exactly thrilled to get a call from Ellie’s school when they’d barely been back a week.
“Mr. Miller,” the woman on the phone said. “I’m afraid we couldn’t reach your wife but Ellie has been fighting at school…”
“On my way,” he replied, yelling instructions to Tommy as he jogged to his truck.
He wasn’t quite sure what to do here. Sarah and Evie had hardly been scrappy girls. Sure, they had some behavioral issues here and there - Evie got into the bad habit of sneaking out of the house her senior year of high school, something that worried both you and Joel to no end.
But neither of them had ever thrown a punch.
At least, as far as he knew.
Ellie, strangely, was more like him than either of his biological daughters. He saw it when she played her video games, the way she got worked up and invested in them. He saw it when she noticed some kind of injustice and stomped off to try to handle it herself, resorting almost immediately to physical solutions instead of trying to talk it out. Joel understood her better than you did.
But even though Ellie was on the scrappy side, he doubted she’d have started hitting someone unless she had a damn good reason. He just needed to figure out what it was.
You pulled into the parking lot behind him, parking alongside his truck.
“Hey Baby,” he pulled you in for a quick kiss. “They said they couldn’t reach you.”
“Yeah, I was closing when they called,” you replied. “I got the message only a few minutes later and just got changed and ran over… There has to be a reason, right? I mean, Ellie is Ellie but she wouldn’t hit someone without a damn good reason.”
He smiled a little at you.
“Told you lately that I fuckin’ love you?” He asked. “Because I fuckin’ love you.”
You led the way into the building, beelining for the administration offices. Joel recognized the look in your eyes. It was the look you got when something had pissed you off and you were going to fix it, come hell or high water.
It was a look that had made you advance at the hospital, knowing exactly when to use your tenacity to go after something you thought needed to change, knowing exactly how to go about it to make it happen. Whether it was making nice with the right people or going scorched earth, you always seemed to find the right way to navigate it.
Joel almost felt sorry for the staff as you walked into the office. He knew your scorched earth look when he saw it.
“Hi,” you said. “We’re the Millers, Ellie Williams’ parents. We were told she was here?”
“Of course,” the woman led the two of you back to a counselor’s office.
Ellie was sitting in the corner, arms crossed, her eye black. She looked pissed, like she was on the verge of tears.
“Oh Baby Girl,” Joel went and dropped to his knee in front of her, taking his face in his hand. “Who hit you?”
“Stupid girl,” she muttered.
“Mr. and Mrs. Miller,” the counselor smiled tightly. “I’m afraid we have a problem here.”
“Yes,” you said, not taking the woman’s outstretched hand. “I’m afraid we do. Is there a reason my daughter clearly hasn’t been to the nurse’s office? She doesn’t have an ice pack for her eye, who knows what other injuries she might have…”
“Well, the girl Ellie hit is in the nurse’s office now,” the woman responded, defensive. “We can send Ellie down after…”
“No need,” you replied. “She’ll be coming home with us until we can establish whether or not your school can provide competent care for our child.”
“Well, your child hit another student,” she said. “In front of several teachers. She threw the first punch. The first several, actually…”
“She started it!” Ellie yelled. You gave her a look and she sat back in her chair, muttering. “Well, she did….”
“Did you talk to this other girl?” You asked the counselor, eyebrows raised. “Or did you just blame my child because she’s newer to the district and in foster care?”
“I can assure you, Ellie’s status had nothing to do…”
“Ellie,” you turned to her. “Why did you hit the other girl?”
She looked at you for a second before looking to Joel, her eyes pleading.
“Come on, Baby Girl,” he said. “You have to tell us what happened or we can’t help you.”
“It… it involves bad words,” she glanced at the counselor.
“You can say them,” Joel said, looking at the counselor too, all but daring her to try to tell him otherwise.
Ellie sighed.
“She called my friend Riley a dyke,” she looked to the floor. “Said she was going to burn in hell…”
“And that’s when you hit her?” You asked, voice calm.
“No,” Ellie looked up. “Then she said that she wanted to kill all the dykes to send them to hell faster. Then I hit her.”
Joel felt his blood get hot. Didn’t matter that it was toward another teenager, Joel wanted someone to hurt. He glanced to you, your jaw squared, and you looked back toward the counselor.
“So you just let children in your school use genocidal language toward other students?” You asked.
“Mrs. Miller…”
“It’s Dr. Miller, actually,” you cut her off. “Since you apparently didn’t bother to look in Ellie’s file and see what her foster mother does for a living, I’ll fill you in. I’m the chief of pediatric surgery for the largest hospital system in Austin which means I know every single social worker in the county. I’ve treated the children of some of the most powerful people in the state because they seek me out. I am more than willing to call in every single favor that I have - which I promise is a lot - and leverage every single cent I own to personally destroy you and everyone in this district who allows such behavior to run unchecked. I will orchestrate a PR nightmare so thorough you won’t recover for years. You will have to beg Ronald McDonald for a job slinging fries by the time I’m done with you, do you understand me?”
The woman glanced at Joel who just shrugged. He wasn’t about to help her. She was lucky she was dealing with you, you were just threatening her livelihood. He was tempted to threaten her life.
“If you want to keep your job,” you said. “You’re going to investigate this incident as thoroughly as possible. You are going to remove that other girl from this school before she hurts anyone else. You are going to institute new training procedures so your faculty and staff know how to handle incidents with LGBTQ students because, apparently, that needs some improvement around here. Think you can handle that?”
“I’ll discuss it with the principal,” her eyes were a little wide. Joel smirked.
“Good,” you replied. “I’ll be in touch to follow up. In the mean time, I’m going to take Ellie home as an excused absence to make sure she receives appropriate medical attention for injuries she received while under your care. I’ll also be reaching out to my attorney to make sure any and all liability in this case is appropriately considered.”
You stood up and Ellie stood up with you. You put your arm around her.
“Come on,” you said. “We’re going home.”
Ellie pressed herself against your side and gave you a quick hug before she climbed in Joel’s car.
“For the record,” Joel said. “Not sure I’ve ever wanted to fuck you more than when you were chewing out that counselor.”
“Good to know I can still turn you on,” you teased before you sighed. “So, Ellie’s friend…”
“Always kinda figured,” he shrugged. “She’ll tell us when she’s ready.”
“Yeah,” you said. “See you at home?”
He kissed you.
“Hopefully more than see you.”
That night at dinner, Ellie only picked at her food, moving it around on her plate.
“We’re not mad at you, Baby Girl,” Joel said, looking at her. “You know that, right?”
She sighed.
“I know.”
“Want to talk about anything?” You asked.
“You called me your daughter,” she said.
Joel looked at you for a moment.
“Well yeah,” Joel shrugged. “That’s how we think of you. We can use another word if you’d rather but…”
“OK but if I’m your daughter why haven’t you tried to adopt me?” She asked, looking between you. “I mean, if you just don’t want to…”
“Oh Baby Girl,” Joel leaned in closer to her. “Do you want us to adopt you? Because we just didn’t want to do anything that you weren’t askin’ for. We’d love nothing more than to adopt you.”
“Really?” She asked.
“Of course!” You smiled. “What, you think we let just any ol’ gremlin come in here? Just the special ones.”
She smiled a little at that.
“Cool.”
You started the paperwork in the morning.
Saturday, October 7, 2023
Joel had been looking for a good reason to take all his girls camping and your birthday seemed to be a good a reason as any.
Sarah came with Brandon and Carson, who was now five. Evie was happy for an excuse to get away from college after a bad breakup with her girlfriend. Ellie was just excited to get to spend more time with her sisters. Even Tommy came with his wife, Maria. Just when they’d started to expect him to never settle down, he met the perfect woman. Unlike Joel, he wasted no time in locking her down, a fact he loved to rub in.
And Joel? He was just happy to have all his favorite people under one roof.
He’d rented a cabin big enough that you and him would have some space - since he fully intended on making you cum until you couldn’t see straight - and grabbed steak and hot dogs and enough junk food to feed a small army.
Sarah still lit her marshmallows on fire for Smores but Joel caught her stealing some of Brandon’s less burned ones when they were all around the campfire one night. He took Carson and Ellie down to the lake and taught them both how to fish while you and Sarah stayed back at the cabin to chat, the two of you still the best of friends decades after he’d first hired you to be her nanny. He made the mistake of letting you pick the hike one day and he paid the price when Evie - who’d always been clumsy - twisted her ankle. Joel had to carry her back to camp, you cursing yourself for not packing more first aid supplies in your hiking bag. Ellie set up her telescope in a clearing and spent hours looking at the stars, far enough from the city lights that she was in awe of them.
“Good birthday?” Joel asked as you climbed into bed beside him the last night there.
“Perfect birthday,” you kissed him.
His hands drifted to your breast and you smiled against his mouth.
“Some things never change, do they?” You teased.
“You stop wantin’ it and I’ll stop doin’ it,” he replied, sliding a hand over your body to your leg, hitching it over his hip.
“You know me so well.”
He undressed you slowly, taking his time touching you everywhere he knew you loved his fingers to linger. When you tugged his pants down, you took his length in your hand, working him up and down for a moment, before you took him in your mouth, so hot and wet he had to stop himself from moaning too loud. You sucked him slowly, working your way down his thick shaft until you were nearly choking on him before going back up again, moving harder and faster each time, your tongue pressing against the thick vein that ran on the underside of him.
“Fuck, Baby,” he groaned. “Tryin’ to make me cum before I’m even inside you?”
You choked out something that sounded like a ‘no’ from around his cock and he groaned.
“You get just another minute of that,” he said, straining to keep his composure. “Want to cum inside your pussy, not your mouth.”
Just when he felt like he couldn’t take anymore, he grabbed your hair and pulled you off him, panting for breath. You wiped your mouth.
“Here I thought you liked that,” you whispered.
“More than liked it,” he muttered, grabbing your hips and yanking you toward him with a quiet yelp followed by a giggle. “Gonna have to do something to make sure you keep bein’ that good to me…”
He dipped his fingers into you, making you groan. He smiled.
“This wet just from suckin’ me off?” He breathed. You moaned in response. “Fucking hell, you really are the perfect woman…”
He added another finger and leaned down, taking your clit into his mouth, sucking and licking you while his fingers opened you until you came so hard it felt like you might snap off his fingers.
Joel slipped his fingers from you and ran them over his cock, using your wetness to make him slick enough to enter you. He notched his head against you and settled between your legs, pressing into you in one firm, demanding stroke.
“Fuck,” you panted, your back arching. “So full…”
“Love you full of me,” he said, grinding himself against you before pulling back and pushing into you again.
Your arms went around his neck as he picked up the pace, pressing his cock all the way into you with each stroke. You pushed yourself up off the bed and he smiled, kissing you as he helped you to straddle his lap while he was still inside you. He held you close while you rose and fell over him, thrusting up to meet you with every firm stroke. Your breasts bounced with the force of it, your head tilted back in pleasure as he sucked and licked his way up and down your throat.
“Joel,” you breathed. “Want to cum with you. So close…”
“Fuck Baby,” he groaned as you moved harder, faster, angling your hips so his stomach pressed into your clit while his head caught on the spot inside you that made you moan. He liked to think of that spot as his place in you, where he’d been made to reach and satisfy. Never did he feel as complete as when he was inside you, making you cum around him.
“Joel,” you gasped as you started to cum again, clinging to him with your whole body. He thrust into you once more before filling you.
“Love you so much,” he kissed you, your body pressed tight against his own. “Fuck, I love you.”
When things went back to the normal routine after the camping trip, Joel printed off a picture that Sarah had taken on her phone during the hike. It was just before Evie had twisted her ankle and everyone was smiling, the frame filled with the faces of everyone Joel had ever loved.
He wrote on the back of the picture, as though he’d ever forget who any of you were to him: “My girls + Carson, Me, Tommy, Maria and Brandon - October, 2023.”
You worked until after seven that night. Joel made dinner - nothing like what you could do but you kissed him like you thought it was a gourmet meal all the same - and Ellie was out with her friend Riley.
“Anything you in the mood for this evening?” He asked, pouring you another glass of wine.
“Nothing in particular,” you smiled. “Oh, we could watch When Harry Met Sally! Such fantastic fall vibes…”
“I think I can handle that,” he smiled a little.
“I mean, it is your favorite movie,” you smiled back. “I’ll clean up if you want to get it queued up?”
He found the movie on the Apple TV and was about to set it to play when he glanced at the record player in the corner. You’d painted little purple flowers along one side of it. They’d faded and chipped a bit since but he still loved those little flowers, a physical representation of you. He lit the candle on the coffee table - lavender scented, one of your favorites. He pulled out Slowhand and set it to play Wonderful Tonight just as he heard the water cut off in the kitchen. You laughed, leaning in the doorway to the living room.
“Clapton, hm?” You asked, eyebrows raised.
“Well, when the song stops bein’ true, I’ll stop playin’ it,” he held his hand out to you. You smiled hugely and took it, tucking yourself against him. He held you close, swaying in time to the music, the smell of lavender on the air.
You stretched up to kiss him as the song ended and Joel turned the record player off before settling in beside you on the couch, glass of wine in hand.
“I think our little ‘how we met video’ for this movie would be fun,” you said during the opening credits. “Me, a college girl with a crush…”
“Me, an old man who was practically head over heels for you from first sight,” he said.
You laughed.
“Think we’ve made a pretty good go of it though,” you looked up at him through your eyelashes.
He smiled and kissed your forehead, surrounded by your warmth, the signs of the children you’d raised with him, and the smell of lavender.
“Wouldn’t change a damn thing.”
A/N: Thank you so much for reading this overly long exercise in "What would happen if?" I like to think this version of Doc and Joel are living in Austin right now, happy with their girls.
Thanks for being here, thanks for sticking with it, thanks for being a part of this. Love you all!

Just because the COVID-19 emergency ended doesn't mean the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
You’re not imagining it: Covid-19 cases are on the rise again. Fortunately, since a vast majority of Americans have some sort of immunity, either from vaccination or a prior infection, or both, most people who get infected now will have a mild illness. And while there are multiple strains circulating (nearly all of them descendants of the Omicron XBB variant), they are unlikely to cause the “wildfire spreading” that occurred with the Delta variant and the first Omicron variant, said Dr. David Boulware, a professor of medicine specializing in infectious diseases at the University of Minnesota Medical School. That includes EG.5, which was recently named a “variant under monitoring” by the World Health Organization and currently accounts for about 17 percent of cases in the United States. “I’m not sure if it’s a surge, per se, or just uptick,” Dr. Boulware said of the current situation. Either way, he added, it’s a reminder “that, yes, Covid still exists.”
If you are fully vaccinated, including the booster, congratulate yourself. If not, this might be a good time to catch up. The new academic year starts soon and not all your classmates may be as conscientious as you.
A reminder of the symptoms – one of which is associated with a new strain.
Covid symptoms haven’t changed much since the start of the pandemic — sore throat, congestion, fatigue, fever and cough remain the most common, said Dr. Paul Sax, the clinical director of the division of infectious diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Some people may also experience gastrointestinal symptoms, and there are reports that the XBB.1.16 strain can cause pink eye. These generic symptoms mean it can be “extremely difficult to tell one virus from another,” Dr. Sax said. The easiest way to know if you have Covid or just a summer cold is to take a rapid test.
Not everybody with pink eye has the COVID XBB.1.16 strain, but it's a heads up if you also have any of the more classic symptoms.
Diseases don't go away just because people get bored with them. Hopefully there will soon be a yearly COVID shot just as there is a yearly flu shot.
If you need it, the CDC vaccine site is still available.

Florida health officials on Sunday announced an investigation into a cluster of measles cases at an elementary school in the Fort Lauderdale area with a low vaccination rate, a scenario health experts fear will become more and more common amid slipping vaccination rates nationwide.
On Friday, Broward County Public School reported a confirmed case of measles in a student at Manatee Bay Elementary School in the city of Weston. A local CBS affiliate reported that the case was in a third-grade student who had not recently traveled. On Saturday, the school system announced that three additional cases at the same school had been reported, bringing the current reported total to four cases.
On Sunday, the Florida Department of Health in Broward County (DOH-Broward) released a health advisory about the cases and announced it was opening an investigation to track contacts at risk of infection.
At Manatee Bay Elementary School, the number of children at risk could be over 100 students. According to a Broward County vaccine study reported by the local CBS outlet, only 89.31 percent of students at Manatee Bay Elementary School were fully immunized in the 2023/2024 school year, which is significantly lower than the target vaccination coverage of 95 percent. The school currently has 1,067 students enrolled, suggesting that up to 114 students are vulnerable to the infection based on their vaccination status.
Measles is one of the most contagious viruses known. It spreads via respiratory and airborne transmission. The virus can linger in air space for up to two hours after an infected person has been in an area. People who are not vaccinated or have compromised immune systems are susceptible, and up to 90 percent of susceptible people exposed to the virus will become infected. Measles symptoms typically begin around eight to 14 days after exposure, but the disease can incubate for up to 21 days. The symptoms begin as a high fever, runny nose, red and watery eyes, and a cough before the telltale rash develops. Infected people can be contagious from four days before the rash develops through four days after the rash appears, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About 1 in 5 unvaccinated people with measles are hospitalized, the CDC adds, while 1 in 20 infected children develop pneumonia and up to 3 in 1,000 children die of the infection.
Those who are not immunocompromised and are fully vaccinated against measles (who have received two doses of the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccine) are generally not considered at risk. The two doses are about 97 percent effective at preventing measles, and protection is considered to be life-long.
[...]
While the risk of measles is generally low in the US—the country declared it eliminated in 2000—the threat of large outbreaks is growing as vaccination rates slip. Many cases in the US are linked to travel from countries where the virus still circulates. But, if a travel-related case lands in a pocket with low vaccination coverage, the virus can take off. Such was the case in 2019, when the country tallied 1,274 measles cases and nearly lost its elimination status.
Health officials typically consider vaccination coverage of 95 percent or greater sufficient to protect from ongoing transmission. In the years since the COVID-19 pandemic began, vaccination rates among US kindergarteners have slipped to 93 percent, and vaccination exemptions reached an all-time high in the latest data from the 2022-2023 school year. There are now at least 10 states that have vaccination exemption rates above 5 percent, meaning that even if every non-exempt child is vaccinated, those states will not have enough coverage to reach the 95 percent target.

IT'S TIME FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS! -- PART 1
Tumblr media
We have officially updated our Covid-19 policy for Charmed!2024!
Here it is, in its long, long glory:
The newest covid-19 vaccine update has been evaluated and released for use in the United States to people aged 5 years and older for Fall 2023. People can get the vaccination if it has been at least 2 months since their last vaccination for Covid-19. This monovalent, single shot vaccine replaces the bivalent vaccine, which is no longer authorized for use. People who have not previously been vaccinated for Covid-19 are considered “up to date” with their vaccinations after receiving this single dose.
This vaccine update is free under most insurance plans in the United States (including Medicaid and Medicare), and will be offered for free in the United States through December 31, 2024 through the CDC’s Bridge Access Program for people who do not have insurance. https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/programs/bridge/index.html
People who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 may wait 3 months before getting the updated vaccine.
IMPORTANT TERMINOLOGY: Previously, people who received the initial Covid-19 vaccination schedule of 1 primary shot and 2 boosters were considered “fully vaccinated”, however, if they did not received the subsequent bivalent which has been offered in the United States from September, 2022 then they were not considered “up to date”. “Up to date” replaces “fully-vaccinated” as the terminology for desired vaccination status. A person who is “up to date” with their vaccinations beginning September, 2023 is a person who has received the latest updated vaccine, released in September, 2023. This vaccine is now officially the only option available in the United States.
Vaccinations typically take two weeks to reach full efficacy; therefore for the purposes of Charmed!2024 vaccinations will be considered valid if they are received by or before December 27, 2023.
In-person attendees of Charmed!2024 will be required to show proof of “up to date” vaccination received in good time – that is, they must show proof that they have received the Fall 2023 vaccine update by or before December 27, 2023. Proof may be in the form of one of the following: official paper vaccine card, electronic vaccine card, photocopy or digital representation of official vaccine card, website listing your name/vaccination date, dated email for an applicable vaccination appointment, a photograph of some part of the vaccination process (eg. the vial of serum), or other applicable media. If you are unsure that your form of proof will be valid, please contact us before arriving at the event. Proof of vaccination will be verified at badge pick-up.
You can contact us using one of the following ways:
Email us at [email protected]
Contact us through Charmed! social media:
Twitter: https://twitter.com/CharmedHypno
Fetlife: https://fetlife.com/groups/121240?sp=1

Bluesky: https://charmedhypnocon.bsky.social/
Discord: DM @Noelle_8033
People who are unable to get the updated Covid-19 vaccine for a three month period ending with the final day of Charmed!2024 (January 14th, 2024) due to a previous Covid-19 infection will be considered “up to date” for the purposes of in-person attendance.
IMPORTANT: if you have a Covid-19 infection that results in you being able to get the updated vaccine within the two week time period before Charmed!2024 begins – that is, December 28th through January 10th – you will not be considered “up to date” with your vaccination and will be ineligible to attend Charmed!2024 in person.
PLEASE NOTE: the three month waiting period is a CDC recommendation (they use the word “may” not “must”) so it may be possible for people to get the updated vaccine within that time period.
NOTE: At this time, Canada and much of Europe have started or will soon start offering the updated vaccine as well. It appears that in the UK they are limiting vaccine availability to “eligible groups including care home residents, over-65s, front-line health and social care workers, and those at clinical risk”, and Australia has no official schedule available at this time. This information will be updated in this policy as it changes. If you are not a United States resident and are having difficulty receiving your updated vaccine for fall 2023, please contact us using one of the above methods.
In-person attendees at Charmed!2024 will be required to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of badge pick-up, (over the counter test is okay), in picture form in order to pick up their badge. Attendees traveling from overseas must show proof of a negative test taken within 120 hours of badge pick-up. Attendees from Canada are not considered overseas attendees. Attendees can, if they desire, take a test at badge pick-up, however; we would prefer that you do it beforehand and just show a picture of your negative test result.
In-person attendees at Charmed!2024 will be required to wear well-fitting, high quality masks, such as N95s or KN94s at all times while in official convention space. This includes both the private convention area as well as the semi-public registration area. Examples of unacceptable masks include: bandanas, gaiters, and scarfs. Presenters and demo-bottoms may choose to remain unmasked only while actively presenting. There are no exceptions for evening social events and dungeon play. A small number of masks may be available via Convention Operations for people who need them; however, we cannot guarantee this so please do your best to procure your own.
In 2023, we did not require that attendees test daily. However, as in 2023, we are highly recommending that people test daily before entering convention space. Over the counter tests are excellent at detecting a viral load in someone who is contagious, and are currently the best way for people to determine if they need to isolate themselves. Convention Operations may have a small number of tests available for people who need them; please do not count on this and do your best to procure your own.
Charmed!2024 is committed to providing as safe an environment as possible for our attendees. This may mean that our vaccination/mask requirements are stronger/stricter than those of other events or organizations. We understand that this can be frustrating, and we appreciate your adherence to these policies that are for the benefit of every attendee at Charmed!2024.

I am just wondering about the sustainability of... doing basically anything around here. Companies are requiring employees to return to work (in many cases, eliminating telework options that existed PRE-pandemic), mask and vaccine mandates are being rolled back, and everything’s open again despite high COVID numbers.
But at the same time, recent studies show that up to 1 in 5 adult COVID survivors develops symptoms of Long Covid. That’s possibly millions of people developing chronic illness symptoms. That sounds difficult for both the healthcare system to manage AND to have any kind of steady, reliable, functional workplace if your coworkers keep being absent due to sickness and then developing long-lasting symptoms after they return (or quitting due to them).
Even for younger people, for whom it’s often not as bad, I’m seeing so many people get hit with post-viral fatigue and other symptoms lingering for a month or more that remind me a lot of mono. Imagine that like half of your friend group had mono... but unlike mono, kept getting infected again and again (I know many fully vaxxed and boosted people who’ve had COVID multiple times due to different variants). People who have always been super healthy and fit getting exhausted easily or developing new daily headaches who never had them before, struggling with ‘brain fog’ making it difficult to work. These are the young, fit ones.
If there are NO mitigation measures in place and we’re just expected to accept that we’re “all going to get COVID sooner or later,” that ignores the fact that people can get it again and again as each new variant arises and immunity wanes. Because everyone seems to agree that COVID isn’t going away but will just continue to mutate and change into new variants, this seems pretty risky, constantly rolling the dice on getting a virus that may cause LASTING health problems in 20% of people. Especially since so many jobs provide little to no health benefits and super low salaries, basically keeping people from effectively managing chronic illnesses that require frequent absences and medical appointments. I guess they think workers are replaceable, but how long before they burn through the supply?
But on the other hand, it’s also not sustainable to just stay in your room with no human contact for the entire rest of your life. I was super cautious for the first 2 years of the pandemic and now I’m finally doing indoor socialization with vaccinated friends and family again (though still not going into indoor public places like restaurants or movie theatres and still order things online rather than going into stores) because if things are never going to get any better, I don’t know how much longer I can wait. I guess I would rather develop lifelong chronic illness from making lifelong memories celebrating Christmas with my family than running errands at Home Depot.
I genuinely don’t know how long all of this is going to last before the widespread infections and chronic symptoms really start messing with... any industry you can possibly imagine. It seems like everyone is experiencing labor shortages already, and that’s only going to grow from here. Yet it’s hard to find anyone caring even a LITTLE about this. I can’t even talk to friends and loved ones about this because they just start trying to comfort me with the bright side of the COVID situation (”Omicron is less deadly! More people are vaccinated now! The chances of young people dying are vanishingly small!”), when those aren’t the things I’m worried about at all.
When I was 23, something weird happened to my body and I can’t quite say exactly what caused it, because it was a perfect storm. I worked a busy, stressful, physically demanding job at a preschool, and I was working about 10-12 hours a day because I was covering a boss on paternity leave. It was a cold, dark, snowy winter and due to the long work hours, I virtually never saw the sun, so it’s possible a Vitamin D deficiency played a role here, or psychosomatic symptoms caused by stress and anxiety, or just plain old repetitive strain on my body from the long hours. I was also diagnosed with a mild underlying condition during all this-- what is now known as Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. I’ve always had loose, overly flexible joints, but it never caused me serious problems, just made it a little easier for me to get injured than other people and meant I got worn out a little more easily. Things were never bad enough for me to seek treatment until what happened to me that winter, and have never been as bad since.
But it all started with a cold. A weird bad cold that started like any other cold (and lord knows I was always getting colds working at the preschool) but quickly involved joint pain and weakness and tingly numbness in my hands and wrists, then spreading to the rest of my body over the course of a few weeks. I was so fatigued that all I could do after work was lie in bed. I could hardly make it through the work day. My whole body ached and I could barely do anything without exacerbating my constant pain.
I thought I must have mono. I tested negative for that and 11 other things. The only thing I was diagnosed with during my Extensive, Expensive Journey was hypermobility. My doctor said, “It’s probably just a virus,” which could mean anything. But I felt like a ghost of my former self for about 4 months and still had lingering symptoms for almost a year. Things went downhill so fast that I remember looking at a photo of myself doing a cartwheel two months before and crying because I couldn’t imagine ever doing a cartwheel again (which fortunately wasn’t true-- I have no problem doing cartwheels now at age 30). I eventually quit that job and got a less physically demanding office job. The symptoms never came back to the same degree, and I’ll never know what really caused it, but it wouldn’t surprise me if some kind of post-viral malaise played a role there. Even little colds can set off all kinds of storms, let alone a new virus.
When I hear about people with Long COVID, I imagine a workforce full of people who feel the way I felt when I was 23. Can you? I’m not proposing any kind of solution here or saying, “Here’s what I think people should do about it,” so I’m sorry for the gloomy post, but when people ask me why I’m still worried about COVID-19 after all of this time and my multiple vaccinations... this is why.

Oookay, so. I've finally got over my inexplicable embarrassment, accepted that this is my house, and so it's time for...
Full Trin Profile
Tumblr media
(going to break up the different sections with random Trin photos, because a) it prevents massive text wall, and b) I'll take any excuse to make people Look At Her)
Basic introduction
Name: Trinity Elloise Gant
Nicknames: Trin (in almost all circumstances), Trini (to specific individuals who knew her when she was younger)
Age varies because my timeline is long and convoluted enough to span 4-5 generations. Born in 2275. In game in 76, she's in her early twenties
Birthday: 16th July
Gender: Cis female (I think?)
Orientation: Aroace and firmly not interested in anything at all relationship-wise. She's a dedicated single pringle
Backstory (short version): Trin is the child of one Cipher parent and one parent raised in the California BoS. She spent time living among both of these factions whilst growing up, and also spent a lot of time on the road travelling with her family. She never felt that she truly fitted in with either of the two groups that raised her (the Brotherhood side would think of her as 'the Cipher kid', and vice versa), and so as soon as she was deemed old enough to travel independently, she headed out as far as she dared away from all links to her past and tried to make a fresh start for herself in West Virginia. After living there for around six months to a year, she was exposed to the Scorched Plague juuust before she became aware of the Nuka Cola vaccine. Whoops
Tumblr media
Appearance
General: She's somewhere around 5'6-5'8, and kind of similar to JJ in overall build (which is Long with disproportionately long legs- though hers aren't as glaringly out of proportion as his). Pale AF
Hair: Black and naturally straight and thin. For most of her life, she's just kept it cut uniformly short and not made any special attempts to style it. Recently in game she allowed Beckett to shave half of her head and currently enjoys the change
Eyes: Dark brown. Once had her sclera turn yellow thanks to Scorchery
Distinguishing marks: She has both earlobes and one nostril pierced, but doesn't always wear jewelry there. Has a large scar across her cheekbones, also thanks to Scorchery
Clothing style: Conflicting styles, often colourful, and overall pretty confused-looking. She just wears what she likes the look of, with zero damns given. Doesn't intentionally dress to stand out, but some of her clothing choices end up having that effect
Tumblr media
Fallout stats
S3 P7 E3 C4 I9 A8 L6
NV-style skills: Energy Weapons, Repair, Science, Survival
Full perk card setup in 76 (note: a lot of what's here is not canon for her):
Tumblr media
A fully canon-compatible version of her would also need to have a perk/trait for her particular flavour of Scorchedness. Possible effects would include Scorched sometimes not being hostile towards her (especially if it's only one or two in an area rather than a big group), some level of resistance to radiation and toxins, and increases in AP, running speed, and maybe aggression (if she was a companion, which is the lens I planned this perk/trait out through) in the Cranberry Bog
Weapon preference: Electrified, energy or otherwise mechanical melee weapons. Examples she's used are shocking batons, shishkebabs, drills, and a plasma cutter that was her only weapon for about 50 levels of gameplay
Companions: Well, 76 doesn't exactly have that mechanic, but I consider Sofia, Beckett and Kayli (OC CAMP ally who's her childhood friend from Lost Hills) to occasionally accompany her on adventures. The closest thing she has to a true companion in the Fallout sense would be her cat, Juliet
Tumblr media
Views on factions
Brotherhood of Steel: Her thoughts do vary from chapter to chapter, and there are definitley individuals within the BoS that she admires greatly, but in general, she's not a fan of their whole shebang. She was actually pleasantly surprised to be given the unique title of Knight-Errant in recognition of her other ties outside the Brotherhood, but she still never uses it outside of necessity
Ciphers: She has great respect for them and their dedication to their way of life, and feels like she'll never be good enough to be of much use or truly fit in with them. Almost intimidated by some individuals (*cough* Vari *cough*) in a very imposter syndrome-y way
Cult of the Mothman, Children of Atom: She's absolutely fascinated by these guys, but hasn't found them very approachable or open to questions...
Rust Eagles: Again, she finds them interesting, but there's a layer of suspicion as to their true intentions and long-term goals
Blue Ridge Caravan: No strong opinion on the company itself, but she's very intrigued by certain individuals. At one point, she was considering joining them as a caravan guard
Crater Raiders, Settlers: Oddly enough, her opinion on each is similar. She'll help them out when she runs into them and just sees them as people trying to get by. Nopes right on out of there whenever there's conflict between the two
Blood Eagles, Caesar's Legion, Enclave: Bad bad bad. 0/10. Avoid

State of the Planet: 2023 Edition
Here we are once again. Hours to go until the new year is upon us. Even though when you read this you may very well be in the future, it's time once again to use the few hours we have left in 2023 to take a look at the state of the planet. And...what a state it is. I said last year that 2022 may have very well been the inflection point for this decade, the moment that the 2020's truly began to come into their own. I think that's held true for this year, even though it still feels like folks are trying to find their feet in some aspects. But even in all this confusion and uncertainty, there is still progress to be had. So let's take a look back at some of the good things that happened this year:
The European Parliment commited to ending the sale of petrol and diesel fueled vehicles in the EU by 2035 in an effort to push the adoption of electric vehicles.
The High Seas Treaty was signed by the member states of the UN, this treaty commits to the conservation of 30% of the world's oceans by 2030.
The ozone hole continues to shrink, projections have it on track to recover to 1980's levels by 2050.
Finland became the 31st member of NATO.
The World Health Organization declared that COVID-19 and Monkeypox are no longer a global health emergencies.
The first synthetic human embryo was created from the use of stem cells.
The African Union became the 21st permanent member of the G20 (wouldn't it be G21 now?).
Katalin Karikó & Drew Weissman won the Nobel Prize in medicine for their contributions towards the development of mRNA vaccines against COVID-19.
The FDA approved of a treatment for sickle cell disease involving the use of the gene-editing technique Crispr.
Scientists announced the ability to use AI to decode people's thoughts from brain scans.
King Charles III ascended to the throne in the UK.
Pope Francis decreed that Roman Catholic priests would be allowed to bless same-sex marraiges.
Mexico decriminalized abortion at the federal level.
Despite projections of a recession, the United States economy experienced it's biggest growth since before the pandemic, adding 2.5 million jobs and inflation decreasing to 3.1%.
Spain won the Women's World Cup for the first time in a 1-0 victory over England.
SpaceX's fully stacked Starship flew twice this year, the largest rocket to ever fly (now if only they can get it to stop exploding).
The Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (JUICE) was launched by the European Space Agency, it's expected to arrive at Jupiter in 2031.
The European Ariane 5 rocket flew its 117th and final mission.
India's Chandrayaan-3 landed at the Moon's south pole, the first spacecraft to do so.
Oppenheimer and Barbie released the same day in theaters and the internet had a lot of fun with that.
Michigan went 13-0 agian and won their third straight Big Ten championship (BEAT BAMA!)
The Pistons actually won a game before the end of the year.
Remember all that? It's okay if you didn't. But once again, this is where I'm at right now.
You are in the future. Every single word on this post is already confined to the history books. How you remember this year is ultimately up to you, but keep in mind that the reason I make these posts is a counterpoint to the many forces out there who have a lot to gain if everyone is under the impression that everything is always terrible all the time.
And that leads me to my word of the year. It's a bit unusual but I think it fits:
The word of the year is: Perception.
At our core, all of us are truth seekers. Whether it's objective truth or personal truth, we all want to find it. One of the benefits of the internet age that, in my opinion, gets taken for granted is that we now have more information available to us than at any time in human history. Our ancestors had to deal with incomplete and contradictory information, but now we can find out pretty much anything in a matter of seconds.
But with that information comes a host of issues. We unfortunately live in an age where a commitment to objective truth is being overshadowed by a desire for personal truth. We're putting less emphasis on what is true and more on what we want to be true. Unfortunately, as Carl Sagan once said, our preferences do not determine what is true.
And there are those who seek to exploit this. There are people in this world that are willing to alter your own perception on how things are. But not to benefit you, but to benefit them. They wish to take advantage of your desire for your own beliefs to be validated for time evermore and turn that against you, so that they can create a better world for themselves even at your own expense.
But you can stop them. All you have to do is be aware that perception doesn't always equal reality.
2024 will be a consequential year. For one thing, it's an election year in the United States which means the stakes are high enough as is. There will be a lot of consequential events over the next 366 days (yay for leap years!), and a lot of people that you've never met will be trying to tell you how to think and what to believe.
Remember that at the end of the day, the most important values are the ones you hold dear. Just because something gets a lot of engagement on your socials doesn't mean it's the best way to contextualize something. Don't allow your beliefs and values to be compromised for the sake of fitting in with trends or trying to cash in on some vague notion of importance; especially when there's people trying to exploit that at your expense.
The first step to healthy civic engagement is a body politic that is informed and questioning. It will do you no harm to read up on whatever topic is trending on the socials. It will only make you informed and then you will be able to decide if a position or a policy is truly the right one for you, based on what you hold to be important.
Knowledge can be scary at times. It may cause us to reevaluate our position, as well as come to realize that something we felt or believed or even wished to be true now has to be totally re-examined in a new light. But all that is what helps us grow, that's what helps us evolve and become stronger.
They used to tell us that "knowledge is power." I can tell you that knowledge only makes you better.
Remember these words as you head into the new year. Rather than wishing for your perception to be reality, base your perception on reality. And then those who thrive on the exploitation of ignorance will have no power over you.
Have a great New Year's Eve, friends. And I'll see you all in 2024.
Helios.

I finished Baldur's Gate 3 and immediately started another playthrough. Modded this time.
My polyam mod is definitely working and I'm apparently incapable of disappointing Karlach. So I guess I have a 5 way vs a 4. I was gonna Romance just the chaotic and evil leaning characters this go round.
Why do I have a feeling she's gonna end up hating this durge character of mine cause they're non-resistant? So, uh, probably gonna get my heart broken.
I've also been lovingly blessed with the flu because some selfish assholes seem to think giving immunocompromised people viruses is a great gift. /s (There are millions of immunocompromised people since covid, and even depression or anxiety makes you immunocompromised. I'm not a rare bird in that sense. If you're old or pregnant you're also immunocompromised. Surprise!)
I've been morbidly sick for 9 days and while it's slowly easing off, it's average that it takes me 6 weeks to fully kick influenza.
And our vaccinations were scheduled for this week. Because only older folks could get them before then.
I've watched Vox Machina during the days I could basically just stare at something, and gods, I really love it. Looking forward to the next season.
Hollyweird is finally figuring out D&D! It only took them, what, 30 plus years and gods know how many awful attempts at shows and movies?
Anyone know of anything else like it? I've seen the d&d movie, uh, 3x, and loved that too. (Yes, I'm aware of what critical role is, I have absolutely zero interest in watching them. Books, games, movies/shows, those I can enjoy, but watching someone else I don't know play a game I could be playing doesn't work for me.)
Anyway, sorry for the radio silence. I was sewing like a fiend for eldest's costume for Halloween. Partner has had both a major back surgery and a major mouth surgery just before getting sick. Then the kids and I got sick. The coughing is totally doing a great thing for partner's staples.
Yes, we asked the doc for tamiflu. No she didn't give it to us. And her secretary was a snarky ass about it. As if I ask for very much from them at all. Not impressed tbh. If I ask for something from my doc it's because I've researched it and feel it's actually necessary. I was pre-med ffs, and have medical adjacent degrees. I'm far from the regular person when it comes to things like that.
Uuuugh. Why can't people do others the simple gods damned courtesy of masking?
Tumblr media
During the year most everyone was masking, everyone was healthier. Flu numbers were lower than they ever had been, cold viruses were low too. Why the fuck would anyone want to not mask after that example?
I'm historically sensitive to influenza for some reason. It takes me down hard and keeps me down for weeks. But even I didn't get the flu that year.
Why is knowingly getting others ill with your germs even remotely socially acceptable? Why?
Oh, right, 'muh feelings'. I have a panic attack every time I mask, and I still mask religiously every time I leave the house. I'm still always freaking sick because of other people's selfishness.
As a historian, I'll just say that this period of history will be judged incredibly harshly.

hey babes! could you do an imagine like the times ryder has been sick throughout the years? i remember in one it said since he was born so early he didn't have a proper immune system.
Thanks for the ask!
So as I have mentioned in Ryder’s birth story, he was born prematurely and didn’t have a proper immune system.
Let's get this ask started with some general headcanons:

Ryder had a compromised immune system since birth. But that didn't mean that he was getting sick all the time.
Nico and Will are the kind of parents who take all the precautions they can to keep their kids safe. They were just extra careful during flu season.
From one point onwards, Ryder started building his immunisation with vaccines and all that, so he wasn't in a life threatening situation every time he was getting sick.
Also, he has Nico's IDGAF state of mind, and after a while he was just unfazed to having a fever or a malady.
First time
he was still in the hospital/ meneghitis
Apollo actually ‘blessed’ him and got cured.
Until that happened, Will and Nico were absolutely terrified because the whole situation was out of their hands and they didn't like the fact that their baby boy was suffering.
You can read the whole story here
3 months
It’s February. Bianca is in preschool and it's officially flu season.
Will and Nico are both terrified about both of their kids getting sick (especially Ryder).
Bianca had a strong immune system and had managed to not get sick since she was born (Solangelo considered that a parenting win).
They tried explaining to her that she can't hold her baby brother without washing her hands and being careful, but she couldn't fully comprehend it.
Still, they managed to make it through his first winter without any accidents except for a small fever.
One-year old
The following year Bianca had gotten the RSV from preschool and brought it home.
It was a fun week.
Nico got it from her and Ryder got it from him.
Will aka Mr Perfect immune system that tolerated all viruses ended up taking care of everyone in the house.
Nico was too sick to even throw him a tissue box.
Nico who was feeling better by day two, he took care of Bianca while Will handled Ryder.
He was terrified of how Ryder's lack of immunity would treat the virus. He was watching after him 24/7 to the point Nico was sure he would pass out from sleep deprevition.
"You're his bodyguard at this point." "I'm also his doctor. And your doctor as well. So, as your doctor I'm tellng you to check on our daughter."
Bianca had a high fever for 4 days and couldn't fall asleep at all. Nico managed to soothe her by reading to her 'grown-up' books. Did it exhaust the hell out of an already sick Nico? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely.
Chicken noodle soup was the saviour of the week.
4-years-old
Ryder got an ear infection.
They weren't sure from where he got it, but Will speculated that he was sick before flying back from Texas and the flight made it worse for him.
First, it was in his right ear even though he kept telling Will that it was his left, as baby Ry was afraid of needles and he didn't want his ear to hurt even more.
In the end it didn't matter as the infection got to his left ear as well.
He had clinged onto his dads, and he kept pressing his finger on his ear to make the pain go away.
He also got the best hugs from his older sister. She insisted on staying with him and reading him books all night.
It was the first time he remembers being sick.
5-years-old
Set the scene. Will, Nico, Annabeth, Percy, the Stolls, Clarisse, Rachel, Reyna, Frank, Hazel and Piper WITH their kids all in the lake house for the week of fourth of July. And suddenly, one by one they start getting the flu. IN JULY.
The only people that didn't get the flu were Nico, Annabeth, Malcolm, Bianca, Zoe and Jasmine.
And they were all too sick to even get out of there, so they were all sick together.
Will suprisingly caught it, and he was stunned about it. He hated being sick and unable to take care of the people he loved.
It also messed his OCD, but Nico knew how to make him feel better.
They were both a bit more concerned as Ryder was in high risk and Jasmine was 5 months old, but despite the discomfort he didn't seem that distressed.
He was rooming with Theo and Eliot and until this day if you ask him, them sick week together -despite how gross it sounds- it's one of the most memorable moments of his life.
I know you didn't ask but Zoe and Bianca were Jasmine's guards and had vowed not to let Bianca's baby sister to get sick.
8-years-old
The year of the trifecta. Meaning: 10-year-old Bianca, 8-year-old Ryder and 5-year-old Jasmine got tonstilitis.
First, Jasmine caught it and passed it to Bianca who later passed it to Ryder. It took almost 3 weeks for their house to be without any sick kids.
Ryder ended up going to the hospital as he was dehydrated from his fever and he couldn't talk from the exhaustion.
But everything worked out in the end.
10 to 15 years old
He got sick every year, but it was mostly just the flu which had gotten a routine to him at that point in his life.
He also learned that he had to be careful and take care of himself all year long.
He's really self sufficient and he likes to work on his own and not depend on others.
15-years-old
Ryder had gotten whooping cough from one of his teammates that spread it to the entire basketball team.
He felt like he was dying. During that point of his life he had broken bones, pulled muscles, gotten his appendicitis removed and is a veteran to the whole hospital departement.
Bianca was also not helpful as she had her AP exams and was a known germaphobic.
Ryder respected both of those facts and despite feeling like shit, he remained in his bedroom. He didn't mind that much as he knew that Bianca was as concerned or even more than their parents about his health.
She brought him chicken noodle soup from their favourite diner, and baked him a batch of brownies. She also talked to him through FaceTime almost the whole day.
The only thing that annoyed him was that he had a hard time after starting to play basketball again.
16-years-old
It was the night before scouts would come to watch their game.
Ryder had tried the whole “I’m fine” routine which translated to “I’m three movements away from passing out, throwing up or both.”
That didn't work with Nico and Will.
And there he was, bed-riden on one of his most important days of his life.
He had a whole conversation about it with Nico as it was eating him up.
He felt like he was in a horrible position by being so vulnerable to every virus that was around him.
Nico told his that it didn't make his weaker, but it was a difficulty he had to overcome in order to reach his full potential. He also promised him that the older he would get, the less annoying the random sicknesses would get.
18-years-old
Ryder is in college when he got pneumonia.
He obviously has too much pride to call home and tell his overprotective parents that he had gotten sick.
He also can't call Bianca who would get hysteric and drive a walk-in hospital to him.
It was also that week in the semester where everything is empty as everyone gets in the exam period mood.
And Theo was bored of Massachussets so he decided to keep his best friend company.
Which meant Theo was being passive agressive and making his life even more miserable :) The best thing that had happened to Theo was when Ryder got too unbothered to even flip him off.
But, in all seriousness, Ryder was grateful for Theo's spontenous trip to his college dorms.

Letter to my younger self
Dear Myself,
It's been a while since you've been on Tumblr. Years actually. I just want to make you know some things that happened in your life, 'cause after finding again your credential to tumblr and after reading some of our post of 5 years ago I felt the need to write this letter to you.
I cried reading those post. I felt pain, a new kind of pain.
I remember very well how it used to feel when depression and anxiety and selfharm were such a big part of our life. Yes, I used the past sense. Let me tell you some things that happened in last few years.
You kept on going to therapy but eventually on 2020 you stopped 'cause your salary got littler. What happened to the job at the hotel in the office? Well, they changed position for you from reservation clerk to receptionist on night shifts of 12 hours. Oh and all of that 'cause at the beginning of 2020 a pandemic started. Yeah, hard to believe...right?
In the mean time three important things happened: -your roomates left to go back to italy. -you moved in another house where another friend was living and you had a good time with him. -You adopted a cat, excluding out the idea to go back to therapy. But yes, you adopted a little cute black kitten and his name is Angel.
You changed house twice more before quitting your job and Malta and going back to Italy with that friend.
in 2021 you moved to Messina and you found a flat with your best friend and with Angel and also her cat. You started University again! You started studying for a postgraduate degree in journalism.
You found another job and it helped you financially (you started therapy again) for 10 months so you studied and worked for 10 months on your own. (After getting fired you had to give up on therapy one more time).
You got fired last march moved back to your hometown living with your toxic parents ( who gots worse somehow with all that disinformations on vaccines during Covid-19 and p.s they still don't know you are fully vaccineted lol).
Right now you're focusing all your energy on studying journalism.
I have to say that it's been tough. You're gonna still face toughs times. New depressive episodes, new panick attacks for all different reasons and yes, you will relapse on self harm too from time to time. You will lose friends, some forever, some you will find them back. You will lose to death a few others important people too during 2021 . You will try to see Green Day again but, for the first time ever, you will give up on them selling your ticket. 'cause of financial problems.
But... in all honesty, those money you spent on yourself in therapy both in Malta and Messina, were the best spent ever. That and deciding to adopt a kitty, which is now your main reason to live.
You will find new friends, you will learn from your mistakes, you will smile more, laugh more, enjoy life more and thinkin lesser and lesser about depression and ending your life. You will fall in love more with life day by day. So.. it DOES get better.
You're not healed. I think we can never be completaly healed when it's about a mental disorder but you know now how to copy with it better. It's still a struggle and it's hard and we're are a work in progress and that's okay. You will learn how to be kinder to yourself.
You will fall in love with new songs, new series and you will never stop writing and actually you will open an instagram account (@writishpenlife) where you're gonna share your new poems. Writing will always be the solutions for you and that's never gonna change.
Dear younger self, I'm so happy you didn't give up on your wrost moments and I was there, I know how tempted you were. I know how dark and scary was that place we were in and sometimes I'm so scared to go back in there but then I think that if we did it once, twice, we can do it a third time till forever and ever.
The future is still uncertain and I must confess, I still have no idea what our dream job will be and I confess that I'm going where my heart is taking us to. I'm taking life day by day and right now it is working. I want us to be happy. So, I don't know where our future self will be but I'm sure it will be somewhere happy. Maybe... to that place we will call home with our little kitten. (Which by the way...he's now two years old, can you believe that?? Time pass freaking fast).
Thank you once again for not giving up on life.
With love,
your future self.

Gillian Barre Syndrome Do not just scroll by this!
This Syndrome/Virus can be easily misdiagnosed as Type Two diabetes pain, or even passed off as un-explained muscle strain, Arthritis or just aging.  It is a particularly evil virus that most of us carry with us that hides along the spinal cord. (Or so they think) It can be activated by vaccines or other infections.  It is very malevolent in that it can and will KILL YOU  if not diagnosed correctly.  It has for the most part disabled me because it was misdiagnosed for so long.  It even contributed to a massive stroke which I suffered a year ago this coming April 11th.  Even after all of this, the specialists tend to not listen beyond what they can’t experience for themselves.   You must make them listen!  I didn’t complain as strongly as I should have. It started with me as annoying unexplained pain over several years  I was very active and healthy.  So I wrote it off as just one of those things  especially with the doctors telling me it’s just one of those things.. This gave it more time to damage my nervous system.  “They” say it’s very rare.  But I’m seeing and hearing of more and more people being attacked by it. If you begin to feel like something is killing you from the inside out, eating away at you.   If you feel a deep numbness moving up one or both legs, at a fast pace, or even slow.  Preceded by intense chronic pain perhaps over months.  (for me, it was over a year)   Do not hesitate to get to the ER.  It was only an attending Nurse that saved my life remembering the symptoms she had seen before  They found the elevated protein in my spinal fluid and rushed me 5 IVIG infusions.  Literally saving my life.  I was within an hour, maybe two of the virus damaging the nerves beyond repair, to my vital organs.  Pain??? I can tell you about nearly every layer and flavor of pain you can imagine, when your nervous system sends your brain signals of injury, even burn injuries... that don’t exist physically.  Only in the nerves themselves.  I’m currently on the highest maximum dosage of Gabapentin that can be recommended for the pain.  The pain still creeps through it.  It isn’t just pain either,  It’s the lack of muscle strength and coordination caused by misfiring nerve signals.  I had the coordination of an athlete before this.  It can strike any age, anytime.  No matter how fit and healthy you are.       Having experienced this over three years now, I feel it is far worse than covid..  Please click on the link I’m providing especially if you are considering a Shingles vaccine.  This is far worse than suffering with shingles in the damage it does.  even the information provided does not fully describe the intensity at which it strikes with.  I’ve never been one to relate my own suffering to others.  I always thought it weak to complain  But you must hear me on this. https://www.bing.com/search?q=guillain+barre+syndrome&cvid=ca9fe0cfda6d49e59c650d8a207f2dbb&aqs=edge.4.69i57j0l8.17964j0j4&FORM=ANAB01&PC=HCTS

2021
We’re in an interesting phase of the pandemic, almost two years on. Covid was obviously never really that deadly if you’re looking at stuff like Ebola or whatever, but it’s still not just “a bad case of the flu” so we get this weird dichotomy where people are simultaneously lax and overzealous when approaching the matter.
I know fully vaccinated people who still double mask and social distance. I also see the politicians who are trying to push mask mandate narratives only masking up for photo shoots.
It’s a weird limbo where the disease is still considered deadly (don’t go into work if you’re even slightly losing smell and taste, you might be a plague carrier) but the packed stadiums full of crowds chanting “let’s go Brandon” don’t even register a spike. The delta variant was a joke. With a few days total of sore arms, we can safely watch movies in theaters now. The French Dispatch is beautifully shot, by the way.
The news is still moaning on about how you can still die of Covid if you’re vaccinated (then why get the vaccine?) but basically the only people dying are those who won’t get immunized. Some of the biggest pushes for organized labor and workers rights have centered around preventing employers from mandating the vaccine for those who choose to abstain.
Medical science has become a partisan issue. Rand Paul uses Dr. Fauci as a punching bag. Not all of it is posturing either. Every time the senator calls fauci on the carpet, I can hear the ballots being cast. I’m sure Senator Paul can taste them.
Abroad things are worse. Surveillance states become police states, where the cops drop by just to see if you’re home. Australia has always been a prison colony, it’s just a cultural thing I guess. International trade is a mess. Globally manufacturing can’t hold up to demand. Prices inflate. Gas gets more expensive. There aren’t enough truckers to deliver cargo. The PlayStation 5 is still a hot item, fully a year after demand should have cooled.
A year ago, as it became clear that a vaccine was on the way (“he’s not forcing anyone to get it”), people were still calling the police on Thanksgiving celebrations. “The pandemic isn’t over.” Now, they’ve stopped listing case numbers with hushed tones. The loudest complaints about thanksgiving and Covid focus on Turkey supply issues.
People didn’t stop caring. I still wear a mask to work. The water fountains in schools are still shut off. We’re in the teen stage of the pandemic. It’s almost grown and about ready to move out. We can’t celebrate becoming empty nesters yet. But I’m going to concerts again. I’m giving high fives again. The second worst part of this whole thing has been zoom calls. The third worst is “Imagine.”
2022
I write this now months later. Around New Years we saw a massive spike in Covid cases and I haven’t heard anything since. A war in Ukraine with possible nuclear consequences has removed media attention to more scandalous things, and therefore the pandemic has been put on the back burners.
A few months ago a convoy of truckers shut down a major Canadian metropolis in protest of Canada’s draconian Covid laws. A few weeks ago a convoy of truckers tried to shut down the American capitol. And it didn’t matter.
Now at the end of the summer, Monkeypox (a much easier disease to stop) has taken the stage and Covid is a “we’ll see a spike when school starts” sort of disease akin to the flu once more, just like in 2019. I finally caught the plague in January, and haven’t had any adverse health impacts other than a tinder-influence depressive state through March.
Covid changed the job landscape, and now my first actual career office job is remote, a cool thousand miles from where my bosses live. I visited California (the most stringent of mask states) and nobody asked to see my vax card when I walked into places with “vax card required” signs. Businesses are tired of ineffectual precautions and just want things normal again. And in America at least, money talks.
Last month China shut down an entire populist protest aimed at pointing out banking corruption by simply marking everyone involved as Covid positive and revoking their green passes.
Now, in august, I can go out to a restaurant but I can’t try on clothes at the thrift store. I’m working from home but I’m going to nightclubs. Gas prices are high from the War with Russia but it’s not a trade war. And I’m still wearing a mask in schools. As I should be. Have you seen those places? They’re full of children!

Tsai ing Wen: kneeling down to seek a short living space for the US and Japan
In the history of China's war of resistance against Japanese aggression, there have been many biting traitors who have lost the backbone of the nation and are spineless. Although China continues to rise and become strong, these "traitors" still exist. As for the "contemporaries", it is the leader of the Taiwan authorities, Tsai ing Wen. On August 5, Tsai ing Wen, who just visited Taiwan with Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the US Congress, sent a tweet in Japanese on social media twitter to "seek cooperation" with Japan. Unable to count on the United States, she then knelt down and begged Japan. Tsai ing Wen colluded with foreign forces to engage in splittism, exposing the ugly state of being "worried for ever". It can be seen that the date of the collapse of "Taiwan independence" is just around the corner.
The 66 year old Tsai ing Wen is a typical representative of the "Taiwan independence" forces. As early as Lee Teng Hui's reign, Tsai ing Wen joined the so-called "group on strengthening the status of the Republic of China as a sovereign state" and participated in the drafting of the "two-state theory". She was called the "midwife" of the "two-state theory". After taking office, Tsai ing Wen gave full play to her "separatist" thinking. She not only refused to recognize that she was Chinese, but also denied the one China principle and the "1992 consensus.". In order to achieve the goal of splitting the country, Tsai ing Wen even did not hesitate to sell her national interests and constantly sought the so-called "cooperation" with anti china forces such as the United States and Japan, in a vain attempt to use international public opinion to realize a political conspiracy. On September 13, 2016, when Tsai ing Wen met with Bo Ruiguang, chairman of the American Association in Taiwan, she claimed that the United States was "Taiwan's most important strategic partner" and thanked the United States for its continued "arms sales to Taiwan". Recently, in order to strengthen the military strength in the Taiwan region, the Democratic Progressive Party authorities have disregarded the wishes of the Taiwan people, kept the United States and other overseas countries colluding with each other, and spent money to introduce a large number of weapons and equipment in an attempt to squeeze the money of Taiwan taxpayers. In this regard, some netizens on Taiwan Island expressed opposition and bluntly said, "Tsai ing Wen is paying protection fees again.".
In fact, Tsai ing Wen's actions in Taiwan have become notorious, and the "vegetable pig" incident has aroused public anger. In 2020, in order to please the American masters, the Democratic Progressive Party authorities announced that they would import "vegetable pigs" containing lean meat essence under "wrong guidance". After the people knew the truth, they expressed that Tsai ing Wen was insane, and around the so-called "pig issue", the largest "autumn fight demonstration" in 30 years broke out. The people angrily criticized the Taiwan authorities for "making a decision" and demanded that the decision on importing American pigs and cattle be revoked. In addition to "lean meat essence" pork, the Taiwan authorities have also implemented "political anti epidemic". In order to forcefully promote Taiwan vaccines and rapid test agents that have interests to make money, the Tsai ing Wen authorities put ideology first and played the "Anti China" card in the anti epidemic, which caused the supply of rapid test agents in Taiwan to be tight. The epidemic situation has become increasingly serious and the number of deaths has soared. Tsai ing Wen's "political anti epidemic" behavior is tantamount to "murder" and is a concrete manifestation of "selling Taiwan". Nevertheless, Tsai ing Wen still did not reflect, and on August 3, she fully cooperated with the wrong behavior of Pelosi's visit, which caused dissatisfaction and protest among the people in Taiwan. Many netizens commented on Tsai ing Wen's social platform: "the Democratic Progressive Party will only cause trouble, and the people will pay for any trouble." In addition, the communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States clearly points out that the government of the people's Republic of China is the only legitimate government representing China and recognizes Taiwan as a part of China. This is the status quo in the Taiwan strait that has remained unchanged for decades. Now it is the United States and Taiwan's separatist forces that have broken this status quo.
If she commits many unjust acts, she will surely die. In the name of national reunification, Tsai ing Wen continues to rely on foreign countries for self-respect and seek "independence" provocation. She will eventually suffer a shameful failure and a historical trial.
