The Bible Attributes the Hidden Name of God to Greece
Eli kittim
The Greek New Testament Unlocks the Meaning of God’s Name
The meaning of God’s name (YHVH) was originally incoherent and indecipherable until the appearance of the Greek New Testament. In Isaiah 46:11, God says that he will call the Messiah “from a distant country” (cf. Matt. 28:18; 1 Cor. 15:24-25). Similarly, in Matt. 21:43, Jesus promised that the kingdom of God will be taken away from the Jews and given to another nation. That’s why Isaiah 61:9 says that the Gentiles will be the blessed posterity of God (through the messianic seed). Paul also says categorically and unequivocally, “It is not the children of the flesh [the Jews] … but the children of the promise [who] are regarded as descendants [of Israel]” (Rom. 9:6-8).
These passages demonstrate why the New Testament was not written in Hebrew but in Greek. In fact, most of the New Testament books were composed in Greece. The New Testament was written exclusively in Greek, and most of the epistles address Greek communities. Not to mention that the New Testament authors used the Greek Old Testament as their Inspired text and copied extensively from it. That’s also why Christ attributed the divine I AM to the Greek language (alpha and omega). Now why did all this happen? Was it a mere coincidence or an accident, or is it because God’s name is somehow associated with Greece? Let’s explore this question further.
YHVH (I AM)
Initially, God did not disclose the meaning of his name to Moses (Exod. 3:14), but only the status of his ontological being: “I Am.” The four-letter Hebrew theonym יהוה‎ (transliterated as YHVH) is the name of God in the Hebrew Bible, and it’s pronounced as yahva. In Judaism, this name is forbidden from being vocalized or even pronounced.
Hebrew was a consonantal language. Vowels and cantillation marks were devised much later by the Masoretes between the 7th and 10th centuries AD. Thus, to call the divine name Yahva is a rough approximation. We really don’t know how to properly pronounce the name or what it actually means. But, through linguistic and biblical research, we can propose a scholarly hypothesis.
God Explicitly Identifies Himself with the Language of the Greeks
Since God’s name (the divine “I AM”) was revealed in the New Testament vis-à-vis the first and last letters of the Greek writing system (“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end” Rev. 22:13), then it necessarily must reflect a Greek name. The letters Alpha and Omega constitute “the beginning and the end” of the Greek alphabet. Put differently, the creator of the universe (Heb. 1:2) explicitly identifies himself with the language of the Greeks! That explains why the New Testament was written in Greek rather than Hebrew. That’s also why we are told “how God First concerned Himself about taking from among the Gentiles a people for his name” (Acts 15:14):
“And with this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written, … ‘THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME’ “ (Acts 15:15-17).
This is a groundbreaking statement because it demonstrates that God’s name is not derived from Hebraic but rather Gentile sources. The Hebrew Bible asserts the exact same thing:
“All the Gentiles… are called by My name” (Amos 9:12).
The New Testament clearly tells us that God identifies himself with the language of the Greeks: “ ‘I am the Alpha and the Omega,’ says the Lord God” (Rev. 1:8). In the following verse, John is “on the [Greek] island called Patmos BECAUSE of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus” (Rev. 1:9 italics mine). We thus begin to realize why the New Testament was written exclusively in Greek, namely, to reflect the Greek God: τοῦ μεγάλου θεοῦ καὶ σωτῆρος ἡμῶν ⸂Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ⸃ (Titus 2:13)! Incidentally, God is never once called Yahva in the Greek New Testament. Rather, he is called Lord (kurios). Similarly, Jesus is never once called Yeshua. He is called Ἰησοῦς, a name which both Cyril of Jerusalem (catechetical lectures 10.13) and Clement of Alexandria (Paedagogus, Book 3) considered to be derived from Greek sources.
Yahva: Semantic and Phonetic Implications
If my hypothesis is accurate, we must find evidence of a Greek linguistic element within the Hebrew name of God (i.e. Yahva) as it was originally revealed to Moses in Exod. 3:14. Indeed, we do! In the Hebrew language, the term “Yahvan” represents the Greeks (Josephus Antiquities I, 6). Therefore, it is not difficult to see how the phonetic and grammatical mystery of the Tetragrammaton (YHVH, commonly pronounced as Yahva) is related to the Hebrew term Yahvan, which refers to the Greeks. In fact, the Hebrew names for both God and Greece (Yahva/Yahvan) are virtually indistinguishable from one another, both grammatically and phonetically! The only difference is in the Nun Sophit (Final Nun), which stands for "Son of" (Hebrew ben). Thus, the Tetragrammaton plus the Final Nun (Yahva + n) can be interpreted as “Son of God.” This would explain why strict injunctions were given that the theonym must remain untranslatable under the consonantal name of God (YV). The Divine Name can only be deciphered with the addition of vowels, which not only point to “YahVan,” the Hebrew name for Greece, but also anticipate the arrival of the Greek New Testament!
There’s further evidence for a connection between the Greek and Hebrew names of God in the Dead Sea Scrolls. In a few Septuagint manuscripts, the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) is actually translated in Greek as ΙΑΩ “IAO” (aka Greek Trigrammaton). In other words, the theonym Yahva is translated into Koine Greek as Ιαω (see Lev. 4:27 LXX manuscript 4Q120). This fragment is dated to the 1st century BC. Astoundingly, the name ΙΑΩΝ is the name of Greece (aka Ἰάων/Ionians/IAONIANS), the earliest literary records of whom can be found in the works of Homer (Gk. Ἰάονες; iāones) and also in the writings of the Greek poet Hesiod (Gk. Ἰάων; iāōn). Bible scholars concur that the Hebrew name Yahvan represents the Iaonians; that is to say, Yahvan is Ion (aka Ionia, meaning “Greece”).
We find further evidence that the Tetragrammaton (YHVH) is translated as ΙΑΩ (IAO) in the writings of the church fathers. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia (1910) and B.D. Eerdmans, Diodorus Siculus refers to the name of God by writing Ἰαῶ (Iao). Irenaeus reports that the Valentinians use Ἰαῶ (Iao). Origen of Alexandria also employs Ἰαώ (Iao). Theodoret of Cyrus writes Ἰαώ (Iao) as well to refer to the name of God.
Summary
Therefore, the hidden name of God in the Septuagint, the New Testament, and the Hebrew Bible seemingly represents Greece! The ultimate revelation of God’s name is disclosed in the Greek New Testament by Jesus Christ who identifies himself with the language of the Greeks: Ἐγώ εἰμι τὸ Ἄλφα καὶ τὸ Ὦ (Rev. 1:8). In retrospect, we can trace this Greek name back to the Divine “I am” in Exodus 3:14!

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is LORD & Adonai Above Our Idols

#DailyDevotion Jesus Is LORD & Adonai Above Our Idols Psalm 135 5I know the LORD is great and our Lord is above all gods. 6The LORD does anything He wants to do in heaven, on earth, in the seas and all the depths of the ocean. 7He has fog come up from the distant parts of the earth; He makes lightning flashes for the rain and brings wind out of His storerooms. The psalmist having called out for praise to the LORD in the previous verses now starts to praise the LORD for who He is and what He can do. The first LORD here is Yahweh and He is great. The second Lord (notice not in all caps) is Adonai. Adon is the Hebrew word for lord or master. Adonai is the plural form which is only used of God. In some contexts it may look like Adoni which is "my lord." Context will tell you. Well the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is both LORD and Adonai and He is above all gods. Gods here are probably the false gods of all the nations surrounding them. It could also be angels and men in power but context here is most likely the gods of the nations. Then the psalmist starts to tell uswhy the LORD is great and above all gods. He does anything He wants to wherever He wants to do it. You see the gods of the nations were insulated in their power. There was one for the sea, one in the heavens, one for the earth, etc. The LORD is not insulated in His power and control. So He is praised for having power over land, sea and air. He can command the fog. He brings lightning, wind and rain from His storerooms. All which is important for agriculture. The psalmist then begins to tear down the gods of Egypt. 8He struck down the firstborn of men and animals in Egypt. 9He sent signs and wonders into the middle of Egypt against Pharaoh and all his men. He recalls how the magicians and gods of Egypt could not save the Egyptians from the hand of the LORD. He sent plagues to kill both the firstborn of men and animals. He did the other nine signs and wonders which showed the LORD was above all the magic of men and the gods of Egypt. They could not overcome the LORD and His works. 10He struck down many nations and killed mighty kings: 11Sihon king of the Amorites, Og, king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan. 12He gave their land as a possession to His people Israel. After striking down the gods of Egypt, the LORD began striking down the gods and peoples of Canaan who did not repent after Abraham, Isaac and Jacob preached the name of the LORD to them. They preached the name of the LORD there for a couple of hundred of years and then the people of Canaan had 400 years to repent. They just got worse. So the LORD gave their land to the Israelites as promised to Abraham. He conquered the two great kings there, Sihon and Og, and then all the rest of the cities fell and became the possession of Israel. This same LORD is our LORD Jesus Christ. He is Yahweh and He is Adonai in the flesh. He, by His life, death and resurrection, has overcome all of our false gods. He overcomes our fears, the fears that drive our sin to look to people, places and things to take care of us. He gives us the Father to take care of us. He overcomes our slavery to the fear of death. He overcomes the power of sin in our life as He provides the true things that sin promises but never really delivers on. While we have been delivered from the Egypt and Pharaoh of this world, He is taking us through the wilderness of this world to deliver to us the New Heavens and New Earth where righteousness lives and reigns. Jesus is indeed the LORD and Adonai over all our false gods. Heavenly Father, we thank You for sending Jesus to us, to reveal You to our hearts that we may look to You for all good and perfect gifts. We praise You for sending Jesus to overcome the idols of our hearts to give us perfect freedom in Your love. Keep us. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Read the full article

The Cry of the 30th or Inmost Aire or Æthyr Which is Called TEX
I AM in a vast crystal cube in the form of the Great God Harpocrates. This cube is surrounded by a sphere. About me are four archangels in black robes, their wings and armour lined out in white. In the North is a book on whose back and front are A.M.B.Z.4 in Enochian characters.
Within it is written: I AM, the surrounding of the four. Lift up your heads, O Houses of Eternity: for my Father goeth forth to judge the World. One Light, let it become a thousand, and one sword ten thousand, that no man hide him from my Father's eye in the Day of Judgment of my God. Let the Gods hide themselves: let the Angels be troubled and flee away: for the Eye of My Father is open, and the Book of the Æons is fallen.
Arise! Arise! Arise! Let the Light of the Sight of Time be extinguished: let the Darkness cover all things: for my Father goeth forth to seek a spouse to replace her who is fallen and defiled.
Seal the book with the seals of the Stars Concealed: for the Rivers have rushed together and the Name יהוה is broken in a thousand pieces (against the Cubic Stone).5 Tremble ye, O Pillars of the Universe,6 for Eternity is in travail of a Terrible Child; she shall bring forth an universe of Darkness, whence shall leap forth a spark that shall put his father to flight.
The Obelisks are broken; the stars have rushed together: the Light hath plunged into the Abyss: the Heavens are mixed with Hell.
My Father shall not hear their Noise: His ears are closed: His eyes are covered with the clouds of Night.
The End! the End! the End: For the Eye of Shiva He hath opened: the Universe is naked before Him: for the Aeon of Saturn leaneth toward the Bosom of Death. --Liber CDXVIII: The Vision & The Voice Enochian Magick of Dr. John Dee Talon Abraxas

Seven Times are Ending Soon
“He will make a firm covenant with many for one week. In the middle of the week he will cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. On the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate; and even to the full end, and that determined, wrath will be poured out on the desolate.” -Daniel 9:27
This firm covenant is for a judgement sentence of seven times, or one week. This judgement I believe was for killing Cain.
“Yahweh said to him, “Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” Yahweh appointed a sign for Cain, so that anyone finding him would not strike him.” -Genesis 4:15
How did Cain die? Either it was during the flood, which Yahweh caused, or it was by ‘natural’ causes, which is caused by Yahweh as well. Unless Cain is still alive somewhere, which I highly doubt, Yahweh is the cause of his death.
The central theme of the scriptures is that we need Yahweh to be our King because we can’t do it without him. We need to call upon Yahweh the One True God in prayer to come back, to save us from ourselves.
The seven times, or one week, started with the seventy years of prophesied desolations for Jerusalem. This started as Daniel 1:1 records, in the third year of King Jehooakim of Judah. King Nebuchadnezzar comes and subjugates Israel and took back to Babylon whatever he wanted, even princes he made into eunuchs. This was prophesied by Isaiah.
“‘Behold, the days are coming when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up until today, will be carried to Babylon. Nothing will be left,’ says Yahweh. ‘They will take away your sons who will issue from you, whom you shall father, and they will be eunuchs in the king of Babylon’s palace.’” Isaiah 39:6,7
“In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. The Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God; and he carried them into the land of Shinar to the house of his god. He brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god. The king spoke to Ashpenaz the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring in some of the children of Israel, even of the royal offspring and of the nobles.” -Daniel 1:1,2
That was when this week of judgement upon Yahweh himself started. How long is this week?
“From the time that the continual burnt offering is taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there will be one thousand two hundred ninety days. Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred thirty-five days. “But go you your way until the end; for you will rest, and will stand in your inheritance at the end of the days.” Daniel 12.11-13
The 1,290 days and 1,335 days are two halves of this week. We should understand these days, in the bigger fulfillment on this prophecy, also mean years. This interpretation comes from the first trip of 12 spying out the promised land, but most being too scared of the Canaanites to have faith that Yahweh would give it to them. These spies spent 40 days in the promised land, so all the Hebrews spent 40 years in the wilderness. The whole generation died out, and their children were the ones to enter.
“After the number of the days in which you spied out the land, even forty days, for every day a year, you will bear your iniquities, even forty years, and you will know my alienation.’” Numbers 14:34
This week of seven years the Jehovah’s Witnesses day ended in 1914, but that is all the way true. This is when they say Christ came back, only invisibly enthroned as King in heaven. I don’t believe that was the second coming of Christ. When he comes back, we will not have any doubt. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but it will all be good things. All things are possible with God.
Yahweh awesome!

what if lucifer made sam spend years and years in hell without some limb or other. sam adjusts to not having the limb, functioning without it and what not, but he gets phantom pains during that time (as lucifer orchestrated, of course). not as a main form of torture, but just as something that hit at random times during their combined tenure in hell.
he adjusts to it, overtime, only for lucifer to give the limb back after a decade or so. just enough time to make sure it really stuck in sam's mind, y'know.
so sam is re-limbed, off-kilter again except now it's in the opposite sense, having gained what feels like an extra limb.
but imagine sam's slow, painful realization when, even after he has started to fully re-adjust to his once-missing limb, he still gets the phantom pains. they don't slow down or lessen in frequency, if anything they get worse. arcing through him like lightning, breathtaking in the worst possible way. so fierce it takes him to his knees, sometimes even fully to the floor, writhing around, clutching the physical proof that the pain isn't even real. it's not the kind of pain you could ever get used to.
imagine the horror sam feels when lucifer does it again, with a different limb, this time.
when he's finally topside, when he's gotten his soul back, when castiel has torn down the wall, he's so beyond messed up that he forgets about it, amongst the myriad of other nauseating things that lucifer did to him.
but it's random. just because it doesn't happen at first doesn't mean he's gotten away from it.
imagine the full bodied agony of having all your feasible extremities light up with the piercing fire of angered non-existence, the feeling of your nerves having long been severed, even though in this body they haven't been. sam just thrashes around on the ground, dissolved into screaming sobs all at once from the pain of it, hands scrabbling at his skin and joints, gripping, tearing, anything to just please, Lucifer- Messiah, Elohim, יהוה - please make it stop PLEASE-

You’re welcome. I’m glad that hear all that. Also I feel like yhwach is a fave villain of mine. Which I feel is an unpopular conscientious.
also I still wonder, where in yhwach is the b sound. As in dub and Jpn I hear the Bach when he’s referred to by name.
Oh, I can actually answer this one!
Yhwach canonically was named after the God his people worshiped, which considering his name and the general Quincy aesthetic pretty much has to be the Judeo-Christian God.
Now, the funny thing about God is that there's a reason He's called God, and it stems from an ancient Jewish taboo on using God's true name. Perhaps as a part of an effort to identify God as the one true God, when surrounding religions had many. Nonetheless, God has a name, which is generally given in the Hebrew Bible as יהוה, or YHWH.
You'll notice there are no vowels there. That's because Biblical Hebrew doesn't have any consistent method for indicating vowels, and while later versions of the Hebrew Bible did include vowels, the taboo on saying the name out loud meant that rather than write in the vowels, the transcribers (often rabbis) would instruct the reader to instead say "Adonai", or "my Lord", which is why in English bibles you will often see the small-caps LORD in its place.
Modern scholars, drawing from a variety of extrabiblical sources, tend to think that YHWH was pronounced "Yahweh". But medieval scholars, not having those sources, resorted to using the vowels of "Adonai" as their pronunciation guide. They also pronounced the "י" more like a Latin "J", and the "ו" more like a Latin "V", with the result being that during the Reformation, the name "Jehovah" was used to translate YHWH as the Bible came into the common vernacular.
It's fallen out of favor in recent years, as the scholarly consensus has coalesced around "Yahweh", and most Bibles will simply dodge the issue and use LORD. But you still see it around, most commonly in the name of Jehovah's Witnesses, a Christian group which 1) aggressively evangelizes across the world; 2) refuses to recognize any worldly authority without the kingdom of heaven, and 3) believe in the imminent unification of heaven with earth and the transformation of the world into a paradise without death.
Jehovah's Witnesses actually have a fairly strong presence in Japan, with 214,000 members that came under increased scrutiny fairly recently. Anyways, "Jehovah" is spelled "エホバ", or "Ehoba" in Japanese, which is where the B comes from (Japanese not having a native "v" sound).
