i'm about to run off to class but i've been going positively apeshit about shakespeare for the last three hours so like: what shakespeare play would y'all most associate your muses with?? in terms of story themes, related aesthetics, character arcs/tropes, etc?? or see if i can assign them one that fits if you'd like, idk, i'm vibing

we are winning at levels never before thought possible it seems, after making the wrong choice of becoming an ada wong fan & having to subsist off the crumbs of characterization given to me in in-game files, supplemental material & scant lines of dialog it seems capcom is truly going to give me everything i have ever wanted :

probably giving ada the best DLC in the franchise, a meaningful relationship with a character that isn't leon that seems to take precedent in her story over her few chance encounters with leon in RE4R ( i have a feeling her & luis' history gives their dynamic far more meaning than his little rollercoaster ride with leon ), cool sci-fi contacts replacing the glasses she never really used in the original, integrating her grapple hook in her combat when it was sadly only ever used for traversal, actual content specifically designed for her campaign & not just reused arenas from the main game ( some of these are from the original carried over to ada but i think her performing the coolest thing leon does in the original, dodging the lasers, is sick ), finally positioning wesker as an antagonist in ada's story directly rather than him hanging over her like a school headmaster trying to play mindgames .

it's honestly so personally rewarding to see capcom go to such lengths for a character they have otherwise neglected, even in a game like re6 where she carries the emotional core of the story ( in specific her developing relationship with carla as she learns she is more than just some lab-made doppelganger, which was sadly undercooked - like most of the game, despite the explosions )

some updates: i think im gonna nix alastor (sorry my son) BUT elys is here to stay bc her being around makes sense for lore reasons, and im able to fit her in perfectly to the hisui era of miss gira's backstory. i actually dont really know what else i want to change besides that actually so. that's probably the only glaring major update?? gira is still the same batshit crazy bitch she is and arceus still sucks big time. and elys is elys. :)

Roberto's finally decided he wants to be cooperative with me so I'm bringing him back out of hiatus banishment a bit early. I'll probably drop most of his old threads but we'll see if I can get him to finish at least some of them.

I'll probably put up a starter call for the event for him in a day or two, once I get organized again. My indie responses will be worked on in the next couple days too. Stand by for old man!

Hey, hello, Hola! 😁 I am alive and still lurking every now and then to see what’s going on - I apologise that I’m not as active as I’d hoped to be but I am slowly getting back into my muse/s and hope to FINALLY throw out some Promots shortly.

Work and life has been busy but it’s a good busy, I’m doing so well with work that my mental state has been in the best place possible and so I’ve focused more on myself before coming back here. ㅤYES, REAL. they're constantly rolling their eyes at him over it, just "do you realize how much time you can save by just buying cigarettes??" but they actually think it's so cool. the most they do is roll their own joints, but even that is frustrating for the amount of effort it takes, and there's something that just feels more classy about rolling your own cigarettes? they'll never say it, but it's COOL.
