hey, first off all just wanna say your blog is so cool i love seeing you on my dash!

i was just wondering if you had any tips for first year students and how to manage time? i think that’s the aspect i have been struggling with the most is time management and getting enough sleep rn.

So, how to manage your time:

tbh I haven't understood it that well myself. Personally im a little time blind, so i coordinate my schedule based on tasks i have to do, instead of time.

So instead of: study physics for an hour, it could be something like: understand The Schrödinger equation or study 40 pages.

My only time blocks are: morning, afternoon (before snack time, before dinner) and before going to bed. Which i particularly like since it's more flexible, and if i didn't manage to accomplish everything, i can just move it a bit, instead of ruining the whole thing.

My planner usually looks like this: (it's a bit light, since i had classes all day both monday and today, but you get the idea)

But if you like to study in time blocks, my tip is to give them space to be flexible. So if you delay smth it doesn't ruin your entire schedule, and you won't be so stressed about the time as well.

For example, you think you'll take 1h to do this assignment? Save 1h30 for it, if you end up actually needing this extra time, then you're still in time. If you only needed 1h, you can take a break and move to your next task earlier than planned.

Alarms are a student's best friend for time tracking. And a bonus advantage is that it also forces me not to be on my phone, since i set the alarm in there, and it's a visual reminder that i should be working.

Another important thing to do is to ✨ prioritize✨ your tasks!! Your final exam is way more important than a report that's only 10% your grade. Sure, if you can do both it's perfect, but don't waste too much time perfecting smth that's not that important.

Oh, and if you feel like the way your professor explains isn't doing it for you, just forget about that class! It's a waste of time to be 2 hours in a classroom, not even understanding what the professor is saying and stressing about it. Just find some good notes, and study them in the library during that time instead.

Also, for the not enough sleep problem. I feel you. That was me in the second semester of 1st year. I would lose track of time, sometimes just procrastinating, and forget to sleep. My solution for that is ✨alarms✨. I usually wake up at 7:30, so everyday i have an alarm set for 23:00 to remind myself to go to sleep, and another for 24:00, just in case i ignored the first one lol. Really improved my sleep schedules.

(And a little extra (tho i intend to do a bigger post about this soon)

1st year tips in general: Find ways to be interested in your classes, so it's easier to study. Watch documentaries about it, discuss stuff with ppl that love that subject. Even if you are learning how to solve integrals so you can help your crush - totally not talking from experience. If it get's you motivated, then that's all that matters. DONT BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS!!! I promise your professors aren't judging you, and if your classmates are, well, they won't be judging anymore when you ace that test. And force yourself to take breaks. I would put on my t.do list to watch an episode of a series daily, bc i would be so stressed i would forget to do that. And taking breaks it's super important.)

i think you are blurring the lines between symbolism and propaganda .. toontown cogs r metaphorical characters who laugh at and imitate the capitalistic dull buisness man type imagery.. if anything, toontown is anti capitalist propaganda for how the cogs are villainized throughout the game for their actions . besides, its a little disrespectful to compare real life colonization to a video game like toontown.. i definetly dont think people who enjoy making content abt cogs or anything deserve that kind of slack

im korean right, and as all koreans do, i have MANY family members who have experienced imperialist oppression under both the japanese and the united states’ neoimperialist project. i know a lot of americans or non-asians in general dont really get taught about this, so im gonna summarize this quickly because im not getting into the absolute horror of it all on my goddamn toontown blog

japan annexes korea in 1910 and violently exploits korean land and labor for 35 years, and along the way they attempt to systematically destroy korean culture, language, and history, down to banning the korean language outright and slaughtering native dogs. as is often the case with the imperialist narrative they adopt a false pretense of “modernizing” the “backwards” koreans. anyway they lose ww2 and we all know how that goes, so south korea is under new management from the united states, who installs or backs a long string of authoritarian dictators who wipe out hundreds of villages in jeju island and shoot protestors post korean war. again, a very rough summary

where im going with this is that with my family history in mind (because all of my grandparents lived through the japanese occupation and korean war and have the stories to prove it), i approach a lot of media asking questions about imperialism and exploitation. yeah including the kids mmo, because theres plenty of things that coincide with these in, admittedly, toned down ways (its a kids game)

clash cogs’ motivation is, as far as im aware, to use toontown’s resources for profit by means of fuel. this reminded me of the way korea suffered under japanese occupation, during which koreans were kidnapped by the government and used as unpaid labor for mining and for manufacturing by companies like mitsubishi, on top of the agricultural exploitation and the theft of korean natural resources for both japanese demand and profit

the rewritten cogs have a slightly different motivation, with the same endgoal. by trying to “convert” toons to coggish practices and trying to get them to stop being toony, its an act of cultural destruction. being toony is part of toon culture, using jellybeans for money and hosting parties and doing slapstick comedy are all important parts of toon culture. the chairman is trying to destroy this. this is what sticks out to me the most, because the colonizing bastards tried to beat the culture out of koreans as a whole, and this is whats always been emphasized in the family stories. you think my grandparents know japanese for the fun of it? no, because they were quite literally forbidden from participating in their own cultural practices because someone thought that their culture was superior to ours.

its disrespectful to compare the lived experiences of my fucking flesh and blood to media i consume? disrespectful to who, anon? to fucking who?

anyway i never said toontown was pro capitalist propaganda what the actual fuck. first off symbolism is often present in propagandistic media pieces, but also more to the point, since i would not call toontown propaganda: no shit theyre representative of capitalists, but the problem with capitalism is that it allows for a system of violent colonialism, exploitation, and displacement in the name of profit, and its natural for this to be evident in media focusing on capitalism. and i said this last time, but i dont have a single goddamn problem with people who like the cogs, but 1. im just a little frustrated 2. yall gotta stop making them the good guys and unironically hoping the chairman wins.

Mk im not gonna make my blog all abt this but right now im torn inbetween forcing myself to keep calm or spiralling and letting my thoughts drift to the worst scenarios possible and back into a very dark place. But i will say if KOSA actually happens im fucked and so are so so soo many other minors on the internet, especially if they are also part of the lgbt+ community.

as much as i hate to admit im genuinely fearful of the possible outcomes of this and go to the worse case scenarios imma admit im fricking scared. this mixed with my states version of the 'dont say gay bill' being passed like two months ago has me questioning if this is all frickin worth it.

but what i actually came to say, besides the little spiralling breakdown im trying to avaoid, we have to fucking stop this, like sign every petition and anything we need to, call every single mf we need to, just to do anything and everything to make sure KOSA does not pass and ruin so many people's lives and put so many people in danger and also basically change the internet and society as we know it. ill probably make a better post about this soon, one more detailed and when im not in as bad of a headspace, but we've gotta at least try our damn hardest to put a stop to this useless bullshit. and i also wanna say, this is coming from my more fearful and hopeless point of view i try not to give into or share, but maybe we need to start pulling together our fandoms and communities irl, maybe we need to get ready to start groups, programs and other stuff for our states n all so we can still somewhat keep together even if its more local and seems impossible, maybe it'll be worth a shot if all shit goes to hell and so we don't have to fully lose things that we love, like out fandom communities, or writing communities. im too sure how itd work but i just thought id pitch a idea if all shit goes down the drain and we still need a upside to the hell or something.

secret posts for tumblr cuz i dont like posting long rambley blog things to twitter :3 decided to do the shiny pokemon alongside the masterball which might against all odds after 22 years be one of if not The first regular ass items retexture...

the textures are all for the most part just ripped from pokemon stadium 2 which is fair considering melee's development time and also the considerably lower necessary poly count for a little spawnable dude. it also means that i can just use whatever ps2 does for shinies and LUCKILY it has that weird ass HSL system that means i can just grab the textures off of spriters resource (large shoutout to my man Mr. C for extracting them so i don't have to) and wiggle the colors around correctly and just chuck them in. i did have to grab the master ball texture from some furret minigame for authenticity. both this texture and the pokemon colors are different to modern colors but melee players are either too zoomer to care or too old to know they changed, so it's fine. the master ball wouldn't work on the regular uv so i had to fiddle around in blender and i figured i might as well add a Little detail but i'm p sure this is my first actual model swap so i probably still fucked up...i know some stuff didn't import correctly but it looks mostly fine now.

melee pokemon fun facts:

ditto has a unique texture for his Goo

porygon is made of solid color in melee. seemingly all the other pokemon in melee use tiny 8x8 solid color textures for bodyparts of a single color (something that stadium did) but porygon is Properly done with like vertex lighting and shit, probably because his original texture was just a fake shiny thing so it would have looked ugly with a proper lighting engine

unown models don't show up in hsdraw idk why!!! probably bc there are 26 of them. it works in DAT wizard tho

snorlax has a yellow mout in the viewer but i think that might also be hsdraw dying

a lot of textures with partial transparency like goldeen fins or porygon eyes are very subtly different in melee, i'm not sure if its the melee dev team cleaning them up or if its a case of the originals being compressed and losing some of that in stadium, but regaining it in a more sophisticated engine. cant say but the textures still line up so idc

hey remember what i said about unown? its not even differently colored so i dont have to change it anyway

clefairy is the only pokeball pokemon in melee with unique textures for its shiny form, and i have to be specific because some are not in melee (like gyrados) and some are not from pokeballs (like jigglypuff)

Maybe its bad on my part but im native, trans, bi, afab and disabled... Ill never get an actual diagnosis just because of one of those but all 5? No way and tbh... I dont think it'll do me any good other than give me another hurdle when it comes to getting gender affirming care or adopting or even getting treated like an adult. Me and my system are ok and i dont experience distress from my system enough to think i need psychological help.

Idk if i can handle some white ass cishet abled doctor walking up and saying i dont have it and gaslighting me.

I hope this dosent conceded cause thats not my intention but even though im anti-endo, i get their distrust in the medical system and why diagnosis is something many wont persue. 1 because many of them know the doctor will diagnosis them correctly(as having trauma or having something different) and 2 because american doctors are not a safe place like... Ever. If your not a cishet abled white man.

So, a lot to cover here.

I'm white, afab, trans, bi, with multiple partners. I was diagnosed at about 21, and I've been in and out of therapy ever since. I'm also Canadian. Getting diagnosed was the best thing to ever happen for me, and I have several friends with the same experience.

And several who had bad experiences.

My experience will not be everyone's.

I am not pushing for anyone to get diagnosed. Doing so is a personal choice, and a decision that should be made by you, and your therapist if you have one. There are many reasons someone might get diagnosed (access to resources and specific care, financial support, etc) and just as many reasons someone might not want to get diagnosed. You also don't need a diagnosis to get the help you need.

What I DO want to people to hear is: whatever decision you make, do it with the REAL facts.

If you're going to choose not to get diagnosed, don't do it based on bullshit you see or hear on the internet. I made a post several months ago about someone going around saying that a diagnosis will stop you from getting housing, a job, and being able to buy alcohol, of all things, as if you have to present your mental papers to the cashier.

None of those are true. Gender affirming care also can be still be given and received, with an added step of a psychiatric evaluation (which is mandatory in Canada anyways for everyone, regardless of mental health, so if you think about it, you're not really losing anything). You can still adopt and have a family. You can own a home and have a job.

If you take anything away from my blog, it should be this:

Know your rights, and know how to exercise them

There are assholes everywhere, I'm not denying that. There are people who will bend rules and laws and who will use personal information (like diagnoses) against you. I'm not blaming anyone who has had this happen to them, either, as if they should have preemptively known better. No, that's not it at all.

Being aware that it happens, though, know that you have rights-- you're protected by employment, privacy, and human rights laws (yes, even in America, I debunk more American myths than Canadian). You do not need to disclose for work, except for positions in the military, certain healthcare positions, and when working with vulnerable sectors, and even in those cases, not always, and it can't affect their decision to hire you. You don't need to disclose for housing. You don't need to tell anyone anything, and you shouldn't, unless you need reasonable accommodations, and once they have that information, it can't be used against you. Don't let them. Easier said than done, I know, I've let things slide myself that, looking back, I wish I hadn't. Sometimes it's just easier, even if it's not right.

Point is, when in doubt, question everything. Do your own research, find your own answers, look for sources, question facts you see that aren't cited.

When you make decisions for yourself, be certain you're making it for the right reasons, and with the right information.

So You Want To Watch Lifesteal

It’s happened. You’ve been seeing your mutual/followed blog reblog posts about this SMP called “Lifesteal” that apparently has some sort of gay clown? You’re intruiged. Well, couldn’t hurt to check it out, right? Maybe the gays got to you. Maybe you’ve seen the crystal demon. Maybe you’ve just seen some sick art. Whatever it was, you’ve seen something that prompted you to go “huh. maybe i should check this thing out!”

Now you’re wondering- so how do I watch this thing? Where do I start? What’s it about? Never fear! You’re in exactly the right place! Here’s the post that will walk you through how to get started watching this Lifesteal SMP thing (and maybe joining in Tumblr’s collective brainrot).

What Is Lifesteal? Let’s start with the basics. Lifesteal is a Minecraft SMP- okay. Maybe not that basic. I’m sure you know the drill. So what’s the “thing” with Lifesteal, then? What’s it all about?

Lifesteal’s premise is that when you die, you lose a heart off of your permanant health bar. This one!

Now here’s the twist that makes it fun: when you kill another player, you get their heart. So if you’re both on ten hearts, and you kill someone else, their healthbar will drop to nine and yours will increase to eleven!

This is why you see so much heart imagery in fanart, and why if you see screenshots/watch videos, their health bars are rarely at ten hearts. Pretty simple, right?

Yep, mostly. Some other things you should know about the life system are that players can choose to “withdraw” their hearts, which means they remove hearts from their health by choice. They appear as nether stars in a player’s inventory. This feature is typically used for trading hearts (although usually a little more... violent) and giving hearts to allies- hearts can be stored and thrown like normal items, and a player can use the item to add a heart to their health bar (the item will vanish from their inventory).

And of course once you reach zero hearts, you’re banned from the SMP. That’s it, it’s over. Unless someone chooses to revive you. That’s pretty rare though, so mostly 0 hearts = death!

But in the cases where players are revived, it’s with the use of a special item that looks like a beacon, crafted with 4 nether stars, 4 hearts, and an elytra. Hearts in this case can function like nether stars- you can use 8 hearts and an elytra to craft the beacon. It’s very expensive, which is why it’s not used often.

Okay, great! So where do I start watching? So first, you’ll want to know that Lifesteal has four seasons so far- no! wait! don’t let that scare you off! please come back! Phew, okay. You’re still here? Alright! I was just about to tell you that you don’t have to watch them in order, don’t worry! You can start on Season One, but you really don’t need to. Most people start on Season 3 for The Gays™️ or Season Two for Clownpierce.

The most common recommendation you’ll see for new viewers is to watch Clownpierce and Branzy (yes, they’re the gays your dash won’t shut up about). Branzy doesn’t appear until Season 3, though, and he only has 6 Lifesteal episodes (find them here). Clown’s been here a bit longer, and you can find his videos here. Oh, and here’s the s3 branzypierce playlist.

What’s Branzypierce? Branzypierce, also known as Clownzy, is the ship name of BranzyCraft and Clownpierce. They’re the most popular ship here in the fandom, because it’s basically canon. I wish i was joking. Just. Click this.

But if you’re not interested in just Clown and Branzy, or you’ve already watched them and looking to find more people to watch, then keep on reading! There’s plenty more below. Before we get into it, if you want a list of s3 events and how to watch them, look no further than this post. And keep in mind, most Lifesteal videos are self-contained enough that you can watch them without prior knowledge! You almost don’t even have to watch anyone’s series in order from what I’ve found.

I'm gonna answer very clearly to this, anon, both for you and anyone else thinking the same thing. I will not answer a second time, so take the time to read it, or don't, but if I get another message like this one, I'll delete it. So I suggest you do take the time to read it, and to understand it.

Point #1:

I do talk about things even when they're problematic, even when it comes to characters I love. But our definition of what's problematic is probably not the same, since for Greens stans I'm automatically someone who is problematic herself. I've never whitewashed my favorites characters or ships, and since you're talking about HOTD: I never said that because there's a right side, said side didn't do anything wrong. I even said Rhaenyra was a tyrant, because it's the truth and everyone who has read Fire & Blood knows what she's done during her reign. Just because she's one of my favorite ASOIAF characters doesn't mean I think she was a really nice person and a good queen. I guess that's why it bothers me when I see comparisons to Daenerys, even though they have parallels, because unlike Rhaenyra, Dany is a hero, not a tyrant.

Point #2:

Not all people who are team Blacks think Aemond deserved to lose an eye. Some people did say it, yes. Just like some people said that Luke deserved to die, or to have one eye removed too. But that doesn't mean all people who are team Greens think that, either, and I'm not gonna accuse every Alicent stan or everyone who loves Aemond to have been delighted to see Luke die. It's called common sense to realize that not all people, even those who agree on many things, do not share the same opinions and feelings on literally everything.

Point #3: I don't let anyone answer for me. I answered about a scene and doesn't feel the need to repeat myself or to talk about one scene to death. People who disagree with me are welcome to disagree, but there's no point in telling me again and again that I should have a different point of view. If we're not gonna agree, we're not gonna agree. Why should I argue with someone for I don't know how long about the same thing? So we can both end up losing our calm, be rude and insult each other? I'm not interested in doing this.

Point #4:

That being said, everyone has the right to comment my posts, add text and/or tags when reblogging them. I haven't seen someone saying something I don't agree with, but they also have the right to speak for themselves. If I don't agree with what someone is saying, I'm either letting it go because as I said, I'm done with this discussion about that scene, or if it's something I'm absolutely revolted by, I'll unfollow them (which didn't happen). So yes, you can assume that I agree with what's been said on the reblogs of my posts, even if I didn't confirm it.

Point #5:

Yes, I'm 30. And? If you look at most blogs around here, it's rare to find an age, or a name. I'm one of the people who say their name, their age, their nationality and their gender. I like that people who talk to me know how they can call me, know they can speak french if they want to, know they're not screwing up when they use she/her pronouns. I also added my age because I like people to know a little about me. Many people really want to be anonymous on tumblr, but it's not my case. The point is, you have absolutely no way of knowing the age of those other people you mention. They could be older than me for all we know. You seem to be under the impression that they're all children and I'm responsible for them, but I'm not their mother. This works the other way, too. When I reblog a post, what I say and how I tag it is my responsability.

This one is actually for my followers and those who reblogged my posts. I didn't read anything I do not agree with. It could have been the case, but unless I missed one (because I did read what you wrote), you can safely assume we're on the same page. You haven't done anything wrong, and it's not your fault if you're being compared to children or brainless people who just follow my unspoken order to go after others. I saw a post you reblogged about being chronically exhausted and struggling due to being exhausted all the time/with small tasks versus what's a normal amount of tired and realized I may have been living with something for a long time that I didn't know wasn't normal, but I didn't know who to ask for advice since the original poster has left Tumblr and most of the notes were just saying it wasn't normal to have all of them but not how to get help. I was going to seek out a doctor but didn't know what specialists to consult as I've dealt with so many doctors who say my health problems are in my head or "you're too young to have this" only to go through years of testing and FINALLY find the thing that's wrong on some tiny test or other that they didn't think/want to try.

Since this chronic exhaustion crap is ruining my life as it gets worse I don't want to wait years and years to even potentially be heard/get help that isn't being told it's fake or just being told to get even more sleep. I'm losing emotional support of people in my life who think it's laziness or me "not trying" when really it's exhausting and takes a couple hours just to get up and moving at the start of a day much less anything else. Sorry to send such a long ask when I know it's probably a lot and I hope you're having a nice day, thank you for running this blog!

Hi, im sorry this took forever to get to. I know exactly what you're going through and i know how much it sucks.

I dont know if youre looking for advice or just venting, so if you're just venting- I'm here. I know the pain and I will always be willing to listen- If you'd like a quicker response than I give to asks, message me here or on my main @turnaboutstevie, I will always answer DMs asap.

If you're looking for advice, I'll put it below the cut:

One thing I learned, both from my appointments and from my time as a carer is that doctors are more likely to get off their asses and do something useful if you have someone with you when you ask them to. Another person can back you up, can corroborate what was said in the appointment and can help you to complain. Take a friend, family member, someone from a local disability group or even ask the surgery for a chaperone. You are in safer hands if you're not alone.

Secondly, write EVERYTHING down. write what you want to say and what you are experiencing before you go in. Keep a symptoms diary if you can. In the appointment write down what you say, what your doctor says, what treatment course is mentioned etc. Try to get it exact as you can. It is much easier to keep your head if you have what you want to say in front of you, and much easier to push back or lodge a complaint when you have what is said in writing. If they say theyre going to refer you somewhere, ask them to send you a copy of the referral letter. By email or post, it doesnt matter. Just keep it safe. If they refuse, make sure you get in writing why they are refusing to share the details of your care with you. That's information you have a right to. Document EVERYTHING, so that you're never left either not sure you remembered correctly- or in the worst case where you need to complain, without evidence.

Similarly, ask for an explanation for everything. If you're given a reason why you can't be experiencing it, ask for an elaboration. Write it down. If they choose not to test, ask why. Write it down. If they are testing, ask what they think the tests will help detect. Write it down. If they refer you, ask who to and how they might be able to help. And yes, write it down. Understanding exactly what is happening in terms of your care will help you pinpoint things that aren't helping. If they run a blood test and it shows nothing and next time you bring it up they say they'll blood test, its way easier to explain why you don't want another one if you know why you had the first. Many doctors are unfortunately, shit, and will try to do the bare minimum and pull the wool over your eyes to shut you up. Don't let them.

Finally- if they aren't helping, ask for someone else. Most doctors surgeries will have a staff page on their site, listing credentials and specialties. See if there is anyone at your surgery who specialises in what you're going through and ask to see them. Hell, change surgeries if you have to. You can always ask for better care or a better doctor- its YOUR health. Not theirs. You are in charge.

I'm not really part of the death note fandom anymore but Ive noticed an interesting bit of fanon.

A lot of fans draw/describe Light with tanned skin, when in the anime and manga he's fairly light-skinned. The only canon source I can think of where he has a tan completion is the official illustrations by Obata. (Comparison below)

Anyway I don't really have a point here but I would like to say, keeping drawing him with tan skin. It's an improvement from the show in my opinion.

It differentiates him further from L, making his pale skin look even more stark. It also makes it harder to confuse him for a white dude, which is good since Death Notes story is so rooted in Japanese society and its Justice system. Also generally tired of people making jokes that Light is a white man.

Hey death note fandom, I'm trying to find a fic I read about a year ago.

It was a story on fanfiction.net and it was set in alternative timeline of death note.

Basically it starts of with Sorchiro Yagami's funeral, which L attends. Sorchiro was killed in a car accident, but L is fairly sure it was kira's doing. Sorchiro and him were the only ones looking into the kira case at the time, with Sorchiro losing respect at NPA. They haven't found any new leads on the case.

L's approached by a college age Light yagami who wants to help continue to search for kira. L agrees to work with light, even if he's not exactly trusting of him, as he needs extra help. They both get an apartment by the TO-HO campus to investigate kira.

The fic was abandoned, and was made sometime in the early 2010s late 2000s. It was also a Lawlight fic, with some fake dating in its later chapters.

If anyone can link it or remember the title of the fic I'd be extremely grateful, it's one of my favorite Death note fics and I want to archive it.

-이: is like "is" we use in english, but i thought it was used for actions only? stating that something is negative is not an action tho, idk someone help ;_; also i think it should be used after 적 because it should have the "leaving situation" meaning...

안이야: not (its abbreviated by removing the "이", it could be done)

떠난: this word has been made a noun from a verb.

다 makes it infinitive so we have to remove it. the ㄴ at the end of the word is an abbreviation for "는" which means "is" but doesn't state an action. so "떠난" literally means "leaving is".

적: situation

없으니까: not to be, not to happen

(at the sources the line translates to "its not a comeback since we never left" but it translates literally to "its not a comeback, because the situation of leaving never happened.")

my native and korean are really similar, maybe theres also lucky people like that out there.

hihi hi!!!! tattoo artist here!!! PLEASE SONT SCRATCH IT!!!! pls im begging u. i really really care abt tattoos in general!!! u are completely allowed to scratch around the tatt, or even lightly tap/pat ur tattoo, but please for the love of god dont scratch it directly even if its been a week. as long as its itchy, its healing.

tattoos essentially are only on the top layer of skin, and as it heals, the scab is only as deep as the needle went. so when u scratch at it, theres a chance of scratching off the scab, which can take out a chunk of ink!! it leaves you with a patchy tattoo and its not cool :(

also, next time u get a tattoo with saniderm as part of the healing process, leave it on for a whole week!! u will have blood and plasma and excess ink leak out of it throughout that time and eventually, ur tattoo sucks up some of it as its healing inside the saniderm and its really healthy for ur tattoo. its like giving it a lil blood smoothie. it also speeds up the healing process and prevents itchiness after removing the saniderm. i love love love tattoos btw and i want u to have the best quality tatt be safe and take care of ur skin <3

some artists dont use saniderm (as personal/finincial preference) so if ur a tattoo enthusiast, order urself some for personal use in case u ever go to an artist who doesnt use it. i always use it on my clients and never want anyone to go without it because of how important i personally feel it is to the healing process.

(i dont follow u btw i just found ur blog and saw ur most recent post and i HAD to share. it means everything to me to take care of everyone and anyones tattoos. feel free to message me if u ever have any questions i LOVE talking abt tattoos)

😭😭😭 I swear I’ve been trying so hard but since u took the time to type this all out I will try EVEN HARDWR!!! I’ve been trying to rely on only itching around it and patting it but oh god sometimes the itch is so intense …

I usually leave on the saniderm longer but I had some black fill this time and had to do my own change for the first time 24 hrs after and I think I did it just slightly odd bc it felt sort of tight idk how to describe it but by the fifth day I was losing it 😭

AND I have adhesive residue too which I’ve been trying to remove but part of it is on the tattoo itself and when I used (😖) olive oil on the non-tattooed skin it took quite a bit of effort to get rid of the residue so I was hesitant to do it on the tattooed part. Oh plus it was lifting some of the scab up too which I know is a no-no

I will overcome this itch through shear force of Will for u

i’m not really interactive. i like to consume content and move on. it's easier just to get my instant gratification and keep myself from being perceived in any way because it makes me nervous. but even though i don't make use of tumblr’s basic functions, in my mindless haze i still remember feelings, words, and sometimes, urls too.

when i see “rainswept” i think of lyney. i feel like that's self explanatory, via the tag for lyney x reader, i found your blog. to be honest the first few times i came across your work i scrolled past it. wasn't really interested, wanted something shorter. but one morning, i was on the hunt again and actually sat down to read a fic from your account. it took me a while to process it after, and i was very distracted for the rest of the day. weeks later, still thinking about it, the words going from my head to a pit in my stomach that nothing seemed to satisfy. and then, strangely, i found myself looking up “rainswept” more and more often to reread instead of refreshing the daily “lyney x reader”

i dont know what model of brain you have, but it's great

your writing was not the idle comfort i was used to. it hurt to read, but it hurt worse to be without. i wanted to stay with my personal image of a flirty guy who's just that. flirty. easier to digest. i couldn't.

the way you described lyney in the few works i saw took my soft hand and shoved it into a hot fire of angst. longing. fire that rises, but also falls and churns like the sea. wholly consuming in its warpath. it did not let me keep that image of lyney. in fact, the tides of rising flame tore it away from me. burned it. because there's wayy more to be said about him and how he sees the world than who he falls in love with (“curtain call” is my roman empire)

absolutely crazy idea to me at the time. wow, imagine characters having actual feelings??? wtf. to be described so viscerally, picked apart by language and left crumpled amongst the carnage of your own being on a fandom page is to be loved. i want to love the way you do

so, to me, “rainswept” is the url that introduced me to really passionate interpretations of characters i like and the beauty of prose that holds you as if it were a lingering chill on the darkest of nights. i don't think i would be nearly as interested in trying to understand characters for who they are beyond romance without your work.

it could have happened eventually with someone else's blog, but it was yours. through looking at your blog and the things you repost (v fun tags, by the way), i even found others i like too. (wow, it's almost like i’m discovering how the internet works!!!) you've indirectly taught me how to appreciate nuances in writing. now, i can proudly say my taste has definitely developed away from the 2018 wattpad era

that's pretty cool. character development for me i guess? i still have a long way to go before i can understand everything in my own way, but i’m learning. today was another one of those days where your url came to mind, it's been a while. i was more than happy to follow my whim

GOOD LORD i think something in me literally shattered with this ask. i am SHAKing TREMBLING EVEN i cannog even get a full BREAATH in i;m LOSING MY MIND

this ask is literally the reason i made my blog. the reason i ever posted to begin with. my writing ever being seen like this was my ultimate goal. if there was anything i’ve ever wanted it was this. to move people, to change their minds, to get them to see things beyond their outward appearances — and i guess i’ve achieved that because. oh my god.

i don’t know how to do this ask justice anon. i saw it and if i was standing i think i would have fallen over. you say my prose is beautiful yet yours left me breathless. seriously, not just because it being directed towards me meant so much but also just the quality of it. i understand not wanting to present yourself publicly on tumblr, but i think you are an amazing writer and if you ever did i’d be your first follower. i would read all of the writing of yours i could get my hands on. so if you have ever had any inkling to do that, do it. you only live once (and i’d go feral for it)

speaking of writing. aside from just writing because i want to, my whole mission of sorts on here is to change how people view characters. i know i can’t alter everyone’s perception — if they think someone like lyney is just flirty snd nothing more, they’re usually going to continue thinking that — but to know that i’ve had even one person change their mind on even one character is .. astounding. not even to mention changing how someone views characters as a whole? indirectly causing someone to look deeper into them, to analyze them closer, to pick them apart like you said, to feel more when reading about them? that’s absolutely insane (positive). i will never be the same after this actually.

i write to feel, and i write to make others feel, even emotions i or they may not want to. i like digging deep into characters, into pain and sadness, because i’ve always noticed that stories that hurt stay with me longer. they make me think and think and i keep going back to them. and they may not make me feel better, but i like it anyway because, to me, what is the point of reading if it isn’t going to stick with you? what is the point of feeling if, as soon as you pry your eyes away from the pages, the emotion fades with the ink?

to know that you kept thinking about my writing, then kept coming back, and that i altered the way you view characters is. crazy to me. absolutely crazy. despite desiring it so deeply, i never thought i’d have that effect on someone else.

maybe i changed how you view characters and writing, but you continue to give me the motivation to continue doing so. and actually both are so valuable to me. to know i have moved someone enough for them to send an ask like this. i don’t know how to put into words how much this,,, affected me?? i could honestly die peacefully right now. like this is all i’ve ever wanted.

“i want to love the way you do” i think you do. i think you have. i think to send an ask like this it may take more of it. this may have not been your intent or expected outcome but this has genuinely moved me. so so much.

Each of these bs teams need to stop going into the spaces where majority feel the opposite.

It’s like going to a sports team event and everyone is for team a but you, KNOWING this event is for team a, walk in there going team b is the best, then acting shock when everyone goes at you.

Do NOT go actively search each others blogs just to get riled up in an argument. If you see a comment you don’t agree with somewhere……ignore it.

Pr blogs do have some valid reasons to believe this is Pr, and that is on Chris for making his relationship look like PR and using it for PR purposes.

there has to be a better title availible then that? I have to continue the series I suppose but i’m not officially blocked anymore. i dont think i am. i’m writing everyday, its shit, but its still writing. so im not a blocked writer anymore I’m just a shit writer now. its still progress if you ask me, eventually i’ll progress to being a mediocre writer and then i’ll die. because everyone dies and because the next step up is a good writer and to predict myself becoming a great writer would be immodest and i’m nothing if not modest. i broke another rule didnt i. i promised to write one of these everyday and i havent. this is my first...post (yech) in a week nearly. maybe two weeks. I cant remember now, i would have to go back to the old posts and then i would have broken two rules. technically the first one isnt a rule. it was a promise I guess. a mission statement if you think i’m a ponce, which you probably do, but if you do then you wont have reached this part yet, you would have clicked onto something else by now, in which case fuck you (dont worry its only there for dramatic effect), even though i dont blame you i can still hate you. i dont really, i just wanted to get rid of you and if you havent clicked off by now you will definietely will now. if you havent then youre just a glutton for punishment in which case welcome brother! have seat, let me get you a drink because we are gonna get along just fine.
