Throwing this here too since he has lingered in my mind for years now. It's still pretty iffy I'll do anything with him, but perhaps if he ever gets a name (would need to be something tree themed)...

Mostly I just don't see a happy outcome to this, as I said. Best case scenario would probably be Wirt somehow getting away from the Beast, since even if the Beast came to "love" him and their son, it would always be a more manipulative and possessive "love." Plus as Wirt is dead, in a sense, he can't exactly return to the real world (perhaps he can though, as an entity of some sort?) Could wander the Unknown with his little half demon son perhaps. Since I do see it that Wirt would love his son, despite the less than ideal situation. Baby's conception was more out of desperation and loneliness. Not coerced exactly (certainly was manipulative on the Beasts part though, since wasn't an accident on his end).

Also plugging this here too since this playlist is my shorthand way of how I characterize their relationship. Even kind of have the songs in order of how things would progress, feelings wise. Is canon for the verse baby half tree demon exists in

Nothing ever came of this idea (drawing or in depth plot wise, I mean), but since I’m always about the fankid life, I did have an idea for a poetree fankid that was a bit dark. But I think they’re a rough ship so dark is to be expected.

Don’t worry about the details about how Wirt had the kid (could be omegaverse, could be just the Unknown and/or the Beast makes anything possible) but essentially, the kid between them is part demon tree so would work as an alternate fuel source for the lantern. So could break off the kid’s limb or antler or whatever and use the part to fuel the lantern for a while (could burn the whole kid and would be a bigger boost, but that’s not the point). Since the kid is part tree, any broken off part would eventually regrow on them, which is why the point is the kid is a potential renewable fuel source vs just a one time boost.

But what the kid actually is is another way to control Wirt. If he doesn’t fuel the lantern through the usual means, then there’s the looming threat their baby would be used to keep the Beast alive. I don’t think the kid would be born right away. Would be a bit down the road once Wirt starts to waver maybe? In my head the baby is a boy since stronger parallels with Greg that way. Projects his feelings of failure and wanting to protect Greg onto his son (can never decide if in this AU Greg dies and Wirt was tricked like canon was moving towards, or Wirt manages to make a deal with the Beast to save Greg but Wirt stays behind). But their son is very much the Beast’s way of further manipulating Wirt.

As for the kid himself, poor boy never got as far as having a name, but I was channeling Beast!Wirt a lot in how he’d be design wise. Kinda quiet and apathetic like. Break off one of his antlers or arms to feed to the lanturn and doesn’t react much. Cause I think it would upset Wirt a lot how his son doesn’t react to the bad situation they’re in. Although I do think once he’s old enough, he would act as a second lantern bearer of sorts. Help his mama out in collecting fuel for the lantern and ends up a more consistent companion to Wirt while the Beast is off doing whatever and showing up every so often to check up on them.

Again, I think the scenario was a bit too depressing so I never developed it a lot. Was just intrigued by the idea of a Poetree child where the Beast only wants the child as a way to further control Wirt/fuel the lantern in a pinch.

Like with the pic of Vance, wanting to practice adapting her design into a Sonic game style.  She's a Sonic/Cream fankid adopt I got from Silvaze126.

I don't have a proper Sonic next gen like I do with Pokemon, so I'll just play around with designs at this point.  Will maybe do something once more kids get created.  But as I can't see myself using Sonic/Cream as an endgame ship, my initial idea for Chantilly is perhaps Cream is a single mother who wanted a kid, and Sonic is the donor???  But again, will decide concrete stuff if/once I have a better idea of kids/endgame ships.

Custom adopt for someone over on DA.

He’s a Drake/Glacia fankid.  It was tricky to work Drake into his design so he ended up taking heavily after Glacia. But I was trying to channel sexy pirate with the outfit (to have a Drake tie in) but the color palette gives him a more fairy tale prince vibe??  I liked how it was ambiguous though so I kept it.

Also his design really really looks like another character to me (and it’s not Howl, although I’m aware the outfit has that vibe) but I can’t for the life of me figure out who!  So whatever character I made him look like was a subconscious choice on my part.
