can we PLEASE just notice how dodie has been increasingly more comfortable with her sexuality over the years? Years ago she was closeted and unsure how to deal with her feelings and attraction toward women, which is seen in her book and her song She. But over time she began opening up about her sexuality, exploring it, and eventually owning it by expressing herself and her sexuality through her performances. (Note- this is from what Ive seen over the years I’m not trying to speak on her experience or life)

Not only have they been increasingly more comfortable with their sexuality, but their fans as well. Both are growing and learning about themselves together and I think thats the most human and wonderful thing.

Like I went to her nyc concert the other day and when the pride and bi flag colors came on, I felt like a sense of relief and acceptance i guess? In 6th/7th grade when I discovered her I was extremely confused about my sexuality and didn’t want to feel the way I felt about girls. But when I was in the audience at that concert I felt like I was home, like I was beginning to actually feel comfortable in my sexuality more than I ever was before.

I don’t think Ill ever be grateful enough for my parents and grandma.

Yesterday I wasnt feeling too well and was in a lot of pain. My mom gave me a head massage, put the chinese equivalent to VapoRub on my head, let me sleep on the couch, and brought me a water bottle full of warm water

My dad always has the same busy schedule and somehow always makes time to teach my brothers and I about cooking, driving, time management, and other important life lessons

The same with my grandma. Sometimes it comes off a bit harsh but I know she means well, she has the right intentions just poor execution.

I just saw a comment on reddit about how OP would let the animals out of the shelters if they were the last person on Earth… I am now feeling a lot of sadness by just thinking about all the hypothetical animals that are going to remain in shelters, locked up and with no/limited food and water in the very extremely unlikely event that every person on Earth just dies or something.

i want to be understood. that’s all. yet, it seems that it’s too much to ask for.

is that how religion began? by people in love worshipping their lovers for they thought they’d be understood or touched.

the beloved ended up looking like a god(says an anthropologist in another universe). bodies are left untouched at the end of an era. that’s where we come from, an absence of love, a creation of grieving men & women writing diary entries for their imaginary lovers. we think that we aren’t even whole, what’s the point in ‘not’ trusting someone because we don’t know them entirely. nothing exists in entirety. something gets lost with time. something survives.

so many times, love ends in violence. the story ends, but the love of the ‘beaten’ still continue. we all grew up in brown houses, whispering is our national anthem. when you live barely, you learn to accept the little of what’s left,—

or you break free.

SPOILER for Encanto:

Oh my god I feel so bad for Bruno. Aside from the fact that he essentially isolated himself from the rest of the family to protect Mirabel, theres a 99.99% chance that he heard his entire family and parts of the community sing “We Dont Talk About Bruno”. They literally dissed his powers as something tragic or unwanted (i dont know how to put it) while he was probably listening inside of the walls. The only person who actually understood him and was sympathetic towards his circumstances was Dolores. Camilo had NO CHILL and straight up described his uncle as a horrifying urban legend. He also probably notices the fact that none of his family members were acknowledging him or his existence for no reason other than the powers he was given and had no control over. He just wanted to help his family and make Abuela proud. I just want to give Bruno a hug omg :(

it always surprises me whenever i don’t have to actually do any work or when someone says to just hang out bc there’s always something to do even if it doesn’t initially look like it

ok now that im writing it out i realize that this is me using work as a coping mechanism (work as much as possible so i don’t have to deal with emotions) and me being a perfectionist with extremely high standards for myself that i can never satisfy
