This au was seriously just a fun thing I thought up over a year ago now- holy crap- but it makes me literally ecstatic that 600, and now 700+ people are interested in it!!

Not to get sappy and everything (but also totally to get sappy and everything lmaoo), Steven Universe had always just had a place in my heart since I was a VERY young kid, and when The Future aired, I really didn’t know what to do without it. Like- I felt like I owed the show a lot. Being able to make a story that people are interested in, even excited to see the next parts of, has really helped me feel like I’m slowly making up for what the show has done for me! I know I can’t ever give back fully, but I can at least try to give what SU gave to me to the community as well. If that makes any sense. Idk, that probably sounds super ambitious of me, I’m just rambling at this point loll

I know I do this so often and it might even be sickening at this point, but I genuinely appreciate each and every one of you for even seeing this blog. I can assure you I find immense joy in reading asks responding to recent events, tags in reblogs, comments on posts, whatever! Even getting a like on a page or post just makes me feel all bubbly inside and ahhfhhh. Just- thank you guys so so so much, you’re really the thing that’s keeping me inspired to keep this wholesome duo going >:D

Past is having fun being a monster dragon and Future is scared- not really following the “Wholesome” part (mostly because I didn’t read the rule right until after I spent over 10 hours on this like an idiot) but at least Past is having ignorance fun 😅

I’d like to think that scents Steven’s form changes depending on how he feels that Stevens “Corruption” was based not on the corruptied gems (who looked a lot different than Stevens monster) but something either else his subconscious made up or he took the idea of his monster form from a TV series or book. In this drawing I’m going to assume the ladder and say that Past Steven got the monster suit for cosplay, lol.

So apparently while I was on hiatus, we reached a very special number 👀

In all seriousness though, this au has gone so much further than I thought it would ever go, and I thank each and every one of you for being here! I was thinking we could do a little something to celebrate!

So, as a 600 follower (or now 666 follower) celebration for this blog, I will now announce:

THE 600 TTFABAB DTYS!

The drawing being done in your style?

This is the earliest drawing I have of Future and Past, and I wanted to redo it at some point. But I thought it might be fun to see people do it in their own styles instead! So,

The rules are as follows:

- Draw a wholesome interaction between Future and Past! It can be the same thing as I drew above, or it can be something different! Go crazy with it!

- It has to only be Future and Past. No other characters can be interacting unfortunately.

- It MUST be fully colored. Sketches will not be accepted for the contest, though you can just do a sketch for fun if you want!

- The submission MUST be uploaded to tumblr or discord. On tumblr, it must have the hashtag #600ttfabab and I recommend @ ing me too so I can see it! There will be an announcement in the discord on where to post it there as well!

What will be the prizes?

1st place) A fully rendered piece, background and all, of whatever you choose!

2nd place) A more loosely colored piece with a simplistic background of whatever character you would like!

3rd place) A half-body drawing of any character you choose!

Honorable mentions) A sketch of anything you want!

(Note that when I say anything you want, I almost mean anything you want! No NSFW or anything like that, but I’m open to whatever you wish!)

The final submission date for finished pieces is June 18th, so exactly a month from now!

Artwork MUST BE UPLOADED BY MIDNIGHT ON THE 17th!! Please reach out if you need more time, however!

Just a little update:

I hate to make an announcement like this but the AU will be going on hiatus once again. I hate to say this when we’re so close to a reveal that I’ve been wanting to get to for a year now, but lots of things have contributed to me deciding this.

The biggest factor is my mental health. Thanks to virtual school, my metal health has been in an amazing place! Hahah…. If only. I’ve been losing motivation and just need time to step back for a bit to focus on what I really need to focus on which is school. My grades are at a serious all time low, including one of my classes being at risk of having to retaken.

I wanna be able to come back without having any of that hanging over me, plus I wanna be able to give this reveal all I got >:D

But until then, the story will not resume for an indefinite amount of time
