2023 you were bittersweet.

You’ve taught me well, and have opened a lot of opportunities. You’ve unravelled the complicated parts of me which I now fully understand what life really is. Healing and growth were the highlights of my year. I get to know the difference between “what ifs” and “if only”. I am going to utilise all the lessons, heartaches, failures, success and triumphs I had this year unto the coming year.

Night Shifts

I love working at night time for a plethora of reasons. I get to find my own rhythm at night, I also like organizing/solving everything the day staff had missed with fewer people around. I don't like chaotic surroundings but that does not mean I am not flexible enough to adapt. It's just my preference. But this time, it's different. It seems like doing nights scares the hell out of me. My new role is so challenging that it opens the way for me to face my fears. They said that fear makes you a better person and that something great is waiting on the other side of it. I wish to get the other side, soon. x Anj

Cold November

It has been a busy month for me but I never missed a chance to appreciate the beauty God has bestowed upon us. Sunset, autumn leaves falling, and the charismatic swans along the canal.

The coldest night of the season on the way. And waking up early every morning + sneezing makes it so hard for me to start my day. Hearing the weather forecast that wintry blast to fall over 8 days in England extremely worries me! I just hope it won't fall on my Uni days because that would make the trip a loooooong exhausting one.>.<

Haaay. On a positive note, Christmas is almost here---- which means a series of Christmas parties to celebrate. Though I am far from my loved ones again, I am still hopeful that someday I can celebrate the Christmas holidays again with them. In God's perfect time xx

Starting in my new role also means completing mandatory training related to my job. That is why I am doing them on my day off to finish them all before this year ends.

I am still undecided whether to trim my hair shorter.

Woke-up too early because of excitement! Yes, back to being a student again. Maintaining a work-life balance can be more difficult when you throw studying into the mix. But hep, I am not complaining, in fact I am really glad for the opportunity to gain another skills and knowledge that will help enhance my current expertise.
