I don’t know if it will help at all but that’s the exact reason I’m up right now. My ex and I broke up almost a month ago and it caused a horrible problem with mutual friends so I left the situation. Turns out he has Covid so now I’m up at 6am waiting to make sure he becomes active on something to make sure he’s okay

I don’t think we ever get over people we cared about even if they hurt us, rather we learn to live with it and manage the pain it causes us no matter the circumstances. I’m sorry this is happening to you and I know it feels like hell but it will get better over time, you just need to focus on yourself and making sure that you are happy above all else because that’s what’s most important <3

I really appreciate the message. My boyfriend (I guess ex now) and I were doing long distance and up until this morning I thought we were doing fine but looking back on it now I guess I just over looked everything. I can't help but think back on the happy memories I have with him and that makes me even more sad.
