sorry for all the personal posts lately!! this is just a ramble and everything is ok

i managed to purchase a new monitor a day early and holy moly i have had a rollercoaster of emotions. everything is ok and my computer is fine!!

it was registering as no signal, but the screen itself was working fine, and of course instead of checking everything first i immediately had a breakdown. i thought my computer must have gotten fucked in transit, was thinking about all my art files from the past 5yrs that would be gone, my current commissions lost, wasn’t sure if i could afford new parts after buying a monitor etc etc

this dumb ass right here had plugged the hdmi into the gpu instead of the motherboard lmao everything was fine im just a BIG DUMB IDIOT who cried for NOTHINGGGG

on the positive note, i’m very excited to be able to continue working on commissions now, and i’m so glad the move was over. i was essentially left to clean (AND pack) a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom two story house by myself because my roommates abandoned me, so literally all of my time was sorting out four peoples worth of stuff and cleaning because people are shit.... i’m so happy that i now have free time & no longer have to deal with all this. thank goodness. i could honestly rant endlessly about the terrible and unfair things that i’ve had happen to me in the past two to three weeks, but i’ll leave it hahahahah

So my monitor broke in transit and I’ll have to purchase a new one on Friday :( RIP being able to properly participate in the anniversary event tho

I actually don’t even know if my PC made it okay itself either. I’ve plugged it in and it starts up with absolutely no problems, I managed to ship it with the entire case as well so I don’t have to wait to get a new one, just need to wait to purchase a new screen. Since everything sounds OK I’m pretty certain my computer is okay, but I won’t know with 100% certainty until I can get a screen to look at everything. Everything sounds fine so I’m confident but my anxiety is also already telling me otherwise, so I’m trying to ignore it because I’ll die if I lose all my art files from the past 5yrs :’D

Sorry for inactivity! I’ve spent the past two-three weeks moving! It’s across country so it’s been incredibly stressful and taken up basically all of my free time currently.

i’m worried about my PC and getting it over there. my case is metal & glass and weighs like nearly 5kg by itself. i’m still debating on if i want to disassemble the pieces inside and put them in my suitcase with the case or to get rid of the case and buy a new one when i arrive? problem is i have commissions i need to work on. i could use my mums laptop, but i’m worried about how the quality will turn out because switching PCs mid artwork always seems to end up looking dreadful to me because i’m so used to using my own pc. anyway, just rambling because i’m having trouble deciding what to do aaa
