Nobody has ever re-enacted that one ‘free lollipop’ scene from Chowder with Shrooboid Brat, so hereby! XD
This comic represents my headcanon regarding what occasionally happens when curious Shroob kids accidentally bump into Shrooboid Brat in his VIP room at the Koopaseum, before he shows up on stage after Petey Piranha’s all-too-iconic ‘supporting act’ where he devours Princess Peach.

Heys!
It’s been quite a while since I, the admin, last posted on this blog... but ever since I heard Shroob laughter in one of my sound file folders while randomly listening to it recently, BOOM! I suddenly started hyperfixating on Shroobs again, which led to the following. ;)
Last week, I published a new fanfic that features Shroobs! One con about it is that it’s not at all related to Successfully Shroobified, but it does, however, feature some of its characters (such as the Sakamoto twins) as extras or small roles! You can click here to read the fanfic, but be wary as it contains spoilers for both Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time and Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story. Said fic describes how the remaining Shroobs ended up in the cryogenic chamber in Bowser’s Castle in Bowser’s Inside Story.
And with that, I’d also like to introduce you to three new characters, who are also the protagonist and deuteragonists of said fanfic! :)

Trivia about... Chant, Nita and Todd.
Chant
Full name: Chantelle Jay Briney
Age: 17
Gender: female (she/her)
Race: Support Shroob
Most notable details: modest layer of mascara on her eyelashes, freckles, feisty yet confident personality, her naïveté
Likes: her older sibling and their best friend, board games, card games, ballet, gymnastics, painting, chillwave music, the Shroob princesses, horror comedy shows
Dislikes: humans, anyone harming her older sibling and their best friend, being hazed, school, maths, not being taken seriously, anyone stressing over nothing, fellow Support Shroobs not listening to the(ir) commander
“I quit the boring excuse of high school early to focus on becoming a Support Shroob in the royal army of Shroob Castle, under the commanders’ wings. As I enrolled the amateurs, I was quickly proven to be a very skilled fighter and an avid listener to commands, and thus I rose up the ranks pretty quickly, of which many approved but were also remarkably surprised. Yes, I did help fight four specific humans when one of our commanders ambushed them, but I did have to be wary of their hammers and shoes, which I could fortunately easily evade, unlike most of my fellow Support Shroobs. The perks of paying very close attention during ballet and gymnastics at a very young age, am I right?
As a young child, my parents and some other family members used to call me Chuchu… ridiculous, ain’t it? Do I really look like those blobby, big-eyed monsters that hail from Hyrule? Not at all! I may be cute, but I look nothing like those Chuchus, no matter how cute you think they are! To be honest, I think my older sibling picked a significantly more fitting nickname for me when I was only just born. Chant, that’s me, alright?”
-----
Nita
Full name: Amanita Auburn Briney
Age: 20
Gender: non-binary/genderless (they/them)
Race: ‘regular’ Shroob
Most notable details: a very easy-going personality, green four-leaf clover bracelets on both of their wrists
Likes: their younger sister, their best friend, helping fellow Shroobs out, art, science, the Shroob princesses, the colour green, ballet, reading, four-leaf clovers
Dislikes: humans, anyone harming their younger sister and best friend, anyone criticising their best friend, not being taken seriously, not being listened to
“I’m not one to be stubborn and immediately disagree with others’ ideas, but I do have to know the full information behind someone’s idea before agreeing with it.
I’m a proponent of the Shroob princesses’ hierarchy and it to continue existing, even if we did have to flee to Earth upon discovering that our home planet was at the verge of extinction. I do anything to protect our two leaders, even if it means to sacrifice myself to evil factions who are only trying to get rid of us anyway… of which my younger sister and best friend probably don’t approve. Oh well.
My best friend and I have known one another since we were both still aged 2, and ever since, we never left one another’s side to protect each other from any type of harm. The world will always be full of any sorts of troubles that anyone has to face, after all.
Oh, and my younger sister and I are also the maternal second cousins of John and his siblings. They and their parents are very friendly!”
-----
Todd
Full name: Todney Harold Benningwater
Age: 20
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: ‘regular’ Shroob
Most notable details: bandages around his arms and wrists, band-aids on his cap and next to his left eye, autism and situational mutism
Likes: his best friend and their younger sister, drawing, writing, crackers, dark chocolate, cooking, artisan cooking, baking, building cakes, being praised for his dishes, the Shroob princesses, listening to ambient sounds, lo-fi music, playing the piano, his extended family, science, physics
Dislikes: humans, his school days, being hazed, being criticised, being mocked for using sign language when he’s mute, being considered childish, loud noises, anyone harming his best friend and their younger sister, loud children, thunderstorms, fireworks
“...”
(Todd has yet to know us better, but he doesn’t mind me interpreting his sign language now. Even if it’s Shroob sign language, I still understand it quite well.
Todd is Nita’s best friend, and he has known them ever since they were both aged 2. Back then at the playgroup, the majority of the other toddlers considered Todd an oddball, except for Nita, who felt bad for nobody choosing to play with him, gradually resulting in the two of them becoming (and still remaining) best friends to this day and protecting one another from even the worst of harm.
As soon as Todd graduated from high school, he did not bother to enroll college or the university and immediately joined the cooking team in Shroob Castle, where he was quickly proven to be a very skilled self-taught cook, judging from the fact that the other cooks and (pastry) chefs and even the two Shroob princesses immediately praised him for his artisan dishes, which they still continue to do nowadays. Todd is still in training, but he has a very good focus once he knows what to do in the kitchen.
Did you know that Pit, the youngest servant in Shroob Castle, is Todd’s youngest paternal cousin? On the contrary, he is also their oldest cousin. In fact, the entire Benningwater family (Todd’s father, Kevyn, has 9 younger siblings, of whom his youngest, Olimarina, is Pit’s mother) has been born and raised in Shroob Castle, where the vast majority of them now works under the Shroob princesses’ wings as several occupations. It surely does run in the family, huh?)

Since my current fanfic is about to have its last few chapters posted soon, this’ll be the last character bio for the time being. I, the admin, am also currently busy with a few projects that are not Shroob-related, but I certainly do hope that comics for this blog will be made again anytime soon.
Anyhoo, what we really came for:
Trivia about... Shuri and Ken.
Shuri
Full name: Shuri June Sakamoto
Age: 14
Gender: nonbinary/genderless (they/them)
Race: Intern Shroob
Most notable details: black ‘belt’ worn around their cap, shurikens
Likes: ninja things, shurikens, gymnastics, their twin brother, languages, singing, dumplings, sushi
Dislikes: being interrupted by anyone, humans, maths, physics, horror, candy
“I’m the elder sibling of the Sakamoto twins, and I’m a ninja who mainly specialises in throwing shurikens. Indeed, my brother and I prefer our ninja weapons over the usual laser guns that most of the Shroobs use to defend themselves from humans.
The ninja-ness has been inherited from both our parents, who were also ninjas, but rather than since birth, like us, they were that way since kindergarten and seeing something with ninjas on television once. Being a family of ninjas is quite cool, if I may say so myself, and I, myself, hope that our family will become the most notable ninja family among every living Shroob, even our monarchs.
Oh yeah, as a ninja, being nimble is also a mandatory thing, so it’s probably for the best that my brother and I both like gymnastics class at school, so we can put those ninja skills to a huge advantage, mainly to surprise the teachers, not our classmates.”
-----
Ken
Full name: Ken Basil Sakamoto
Age: 14
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: Intern Shroob
Most notable details: black ‘belt’ worn around his waist, katana
Likes: ninja things, katanas, gymnastics, his twin sibling, languages, reading, dumplings, sushi
Dislikes: being interrupted by anyone, humans, maths, physics, horror, candy
“I’m the younger sibling of the Sakamoto twins, and I’m the ninja who mainly specialises in wielding a katana. Rather quite, my utmost favourite katana, which my father never used upon receiving it as a child, so he let me use it instead. And yes, we ninja Shroobs use such weapons rather than laser guns, don’t @ us, as the other 9th graders don’t do so either.
Our parents, Chuck and Nana, have known each other since pre-school, are ninjas since kindergarten after a television show about ninjas that inspired them to become that way, fell in love in 1st grade and got married after graduating from college. They originally planned to spend all of their twenties being nothing but ninjas, but halfway there, Shuri and I suddenly came, and since, we’ve gone through a genuine ninja upbringing, so here we are, a family of ninjas that’ll hopefully be recognised as the most notable ninja family among Shroobs anytime soon.
I, too, am very nimble as a ninja, and my favourite course at school is gymnastics, where Shuri and I always put the emphasis onto ninja skills, of which the teachers may or may not approve, but the two of us surely do.”

Trivia about... Grandpa.
Full name: Drake Andrew Yazawa
Age: 65
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: Shroobsworth
Most notable details: all the typical Shroobsworth details (thick brows, moustache and cane), dark red lampshade-like fisherman’s hat with a few buttons and a hook
Likes: his granddaughter, Becquerel, gardening, pumpkins, Shroobified Piranha Plants, science, experiments with light, fishing, keeping others company, sweetened coffee
Dislikes: humans, the death of his son and daughter-in-law, black coffee, loud music, anything happening to his and his granddaughter’s greenhouse, hurricanes, tornadoes
“In the olden days, I used to be known as a somewhat mediocre soldier and mechanic who could still work quite hard and was praised big-time for that. Nowadays, I’m just a random hobbyist who occasionally sacrifices his free time to fight the humans among many ‘battle-hungry’ Shroobs in the Shroob Castle.
I’m also the custodian of my only grandchild, Jade, ever since two tiny but pesky humans robbed her parents, among someone else, from their very lives. I mean, they still had so much to live for, and human interference surely is the enemy of us Shroobs ever since!
At our home, it’s oftentimes quiet since my sweet Jade often longs to see her friends and actually visits them as well, but I’m also very glad that she also says yes to stuff like fishing quite easily, because it’s very important to bond with your offspring’s offspring, you know?”
-----
And, of course, there’s Bec(querel), who is actually Jade’s pet Tashrooba, but surely loves Grandpa as well, because why wouldn’t one’s own pet love the others in their family? Bec looks tough, but he really is lovable as ever and doesn’t mind some chin scritches and belly rubs on a good occasion.

Trivia about... Poppop and Nanna.
Poppop
Full name: Jake Harry Anderson Gomata, sr.
Age: 73
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: Shroobsworth
Most notable details: all the typical Shroobsworth details (thick brows, moustache and cane), white hat (occasionally), pipe that releases bubbles whenever ‘smoked’, square glasses
Likes: reading, writing, trickery, pranks, telling jokes, his wife, his children, his daughter-in-law, his grandchildren, old movies, savoury foods
Dislikes: humans, politics, dark humour, horror, sci-fi, loud music, sweets, peanuts (allergic to)
“My wife and I became parents at quite a late age, since the 40s are apparently ‘now or never’ to have a child. So in a timespan of 2 years, we first had our son, Jake jr., and then our daughter, Yuri. They’re both parents as well nowadays, and one cannot simply feel the true love of being a grandparent, not even if I tell all of its advantages while enjoying a nice cup of afternoon tea.
As a child, I was quite the clever guy, and I guess it’s a family thing now, since my son and most notably his eldest two children are quite intelligent as well, of which I’m quite proud, too. Not that my wife is less intelligent. No, she’s quite the brains as well, which is why we only just fell in love once our 1st grade period was there for one week!
Furthermore, my wife and I are only glad to be blessed with our first grandchild when our son had quite the early age… and at the same time, we were also blessed with such an amazing and sweet daughter-in-law that we wouldn’t ever want to replace!”
-----
Nanna
Full name: Jane Marigold Gomata (née Harper)
Age: 73
Gender: female (she/her)
Race: ‘regular’ Shroob
Most notable details: oval glasses (and what else?)
Likes: baking, reading, her husband, her children, her daughter-in-law, her grandchildren, old movies, being outside, cold weather, flowers
Dislikes: humans, politics, horror, loud noises, spicy foods, anyone begrudging her and her family
“Back in the olden days, I was one of the few smart students at school, as was the one who’s now my husband. After high school, we were even allowed to graduate early and enroll university straight away. His aim was to become a writer and novelist, and mine was to become a baker. We never got a ‘real’ job regarding it, but we still do it quite often and we enjoy it, too, because enjoyment is also important in life, you know?
Because of our long educational periods and such, my husband and I only had our children when we reached our 40s, but what seemed like only a short timespan later, we were soon blessed with our first grandson when our son only just passed his exams at age 17. At the same time, we were blessed with such a sweet daughter-in-law as well, who still is like another daughter that my husband and I had never had.
Unlike tons of other families over there, we’re so close with and respectful towards each other, and out of all that, our son never left our side because he knows that we want to see his children daily, which is a thing that his children are also quite used to. Our daughter, on the other hand, is more independent and quirky, as well as quite busy with her own job, which we respect to the fullest, of course.”
-----
And, of course, there’s Urchie, the Gomata family’s pet Spiny Shroopa. He’s quirky, playful and a little shy, but also very protective of his owners whenever needed, and a real sweetheart whenever anyone feels sad.

Trivia about... Ian, Pit, Kiyu, and Clyde.
Ian
Full name: Barnabus Sebastian Baker
Age: 30s
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: Commander Shroob
Most notable details: all the typical Commander Shroob details (thick black moustache and yellow whistle at all times)
Likes: being a commander, commanding his underlings, beans, his moustache, interrogating others, spy novels, the Termina moon, Shroob-Ombs
Dislikes: humans, shady creatures, Koopas, Goombas, others bossing him around, his underlings disobeying him, sunny weather, others criticising/hazing him and/or his moustache
“I’m most likely not the best commander under Princess Shroob and her army, but I surely am one that everyone immediately listens to… well, mostly.
I have quite some underlings that consider themselves as one whole group under my leadership, and they can switch pretty well! In what respect? Well, if we have free time, we do, but once I command them to research the castle courtyard for suspicious creatures, they immediately split up and keep their eyes peeled. Of course, I do the same, because what a lousy commander I would be if I didn’t even do as I told the others myself! Plus, several pairs of eyes make a pretty good way to search for one shady thing simultaneously.”
-----
Pit
Full name: Pit Polaris Benningwater
Age: 5 or 6
Gender: nonbinary/genderless (they/them)
Race: ‘regular’ Shroob
Most notable details: very high intelligence for their age, common blush on their cheeks, harsh lisp because of loose teeth
Likes: their status, popsicles, lemonade, science, physics, algebra, advanced maths, watching the most advanced ectobiologists do their thing, pickpocketing shady ones
Dislikes: humans, vegetables, being criticised about their lisp, their legit statements being counteracted, being underestimated due to their age, being hazed about their intelligence
“Uh… I lithp too much? Authowh, if you pweathe…?”
(Pit is the youngest servant of Princess Shroob. Being only just of kindergarten age, yet already having the intelligence of a university student, they’re convinced they make a great servant, and Princess Shroob fully agrees with it after having done research on them.
In the past, Pit was already allowed to leave the playgroup after one single day, and only had one day of each subsequent facility (pre-school to the university) where the people quickly discovered their massive intelligence. Of course, their guardian (they were born from ectobiology and thus have unknown parents) didn’t fully agree with the idea of keeping them secluded from the outside world, and that’s where he requested Pit’s future status as a servant to Princess Shroob, followed by the screening, and resulting into them actually getting the very status as well.
Of all of the servants, Pit is also the most hard-working one, even pickpocketing shady humans and other creatures wherever needed; most notably, stealing a Cobalt Star shard from princess Peach, which soon resulted into the comeback of the Elder Princess Shroob.)
-----
Kiyu
Full name: Kiyu Crystal Chaku
Age: 21
Gender: female (she/they)
Race: Support Shroob
Most notable details: her ‘sticky’/flirty personality
Likes: her status, all the male Shroobs, her commander, expensive foods, sweets, mucking around, anime and manga, minding the young children among the Shroobs
Dislikes: humans, being rejected, being defied, olives, tennis, way too energetic Shroobs of any age, slash metal music, being tricked
“Hey gorgeous, how you doin’? Oh, snap, I should probably tell stuff about myself…
I’m one of Ian’s so-called underlings, yet I don’t feel like I’m being pressed flat underneath his claws or anything. I’m also one of the very few females in our group, so there’s enough guys that I can hook up with, yet none of them is really interested.
On one very special event, however, there was this wizard guy who probably likes me back just as much… he’s pretty dreamy and mysterious, and it’s a shame that I don’t get to wander outside of the clutches of the Shroob Castle too often, even if bullet trains are only just a thing in our newly-established kingdom, including one that’s directly connected to the castle. I’m very proud of the engineers who managed to realise this very idea, and I surely do hope that more bullet trains will come in our kingdom, so the wizard guy will be able to seek me again.”
-----
Clyde
Full name: Clyde Kuro Nagashi
Age: 16
Gender: male (he/they)
Race: RC Shroober
Most notable details: small mole near his right eye
Likes: guarding, the Shroob princesses, beans, potato crisps, biscuits, robots, reading, jazz music, fireworks shows, technology documentaries
Dislikes: humans, swimming, tomatoes, being hazed, being criticised, being defied, horror shows, hole patterns (he has trypophobia), Goombas, loud sounds
“Even though I’m both a servant of Princess Shroob and a guard in training, I do have short home-school sessions two mornings a week. They don’t represent as much as my servant status, though, and I’m also very much convinced that I don’t even need that home-schooling anymore soon, since I already learn enough from actually watching the servants and guards doing their things.
As a guard, I’m very attentive and jump into action as soon as the commander blows his whistle, which is praised big-time, even if I’m not a veteran just yet. As a servant, I’m also very attentive, despite the fact that during then, I tend to slack the heck off even more than as a guard, since guards should never slack off under no conditions ever… and I’ve experienced enough fellow guards being degraded in such a process!
I also have an older brother who is sooo much obsessed by anime and all that jazz, and gets to see his friends more often than me. Not quite fair, but hey, that doesn’t mean that I don’t have enough friends among the servants and guards, even if they’re not always of my age.”

Trivia about... Dr. Agoiraku and Penny.
Dr. Agoiraku
Full name: Herbert “Herbie” Curio Agoiraku
Age: 70s
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: Shroid (currently), RC Shroober (formerly)
Most notable details: magnetic, pointy moustache, lab coat (sometimes)
Likes: his granddaughter, science, physics, (ecto)biology, maths, algebra, mechanics, engineering, inventing things, performing experiments, slow jazz music, travelling
Dislikes: humans, the death of his son and daughter-in-law, when his granddaughter behaves non-civilised, failing experiments, plans going against his expectations, chocolate, having to ‘oil’ himself every now and then, rust
“Thanks to my late son’s amazing engineering and mechanics abilities, I’m still there, and I even got to experience the arrival of my granddaughter Penny back then! Being a ghost surely wasn’t pleasant, and I’m only very glad to still be around. Plus, being a Shroid is pretty neat, if you ask me!
Because I’m a Shroid, I don’t really have to worry about all of the hubbub in the way of retirement, since us Shroids don’t even age… indeed, I still work among the other engineers, scientists, ectobiologists and physicians at the Shroob Castle, and I love how diverse this very job is! One time, I test certain elements if they go together well, while the other, I let new Shroobs be born via test tubes without parents… yes, I’m one of the very few ectobiologists who is actually able to perform this perfectly. One should follow very strict schooling for it, and even though it wasn’t easy for me, it has absolutely been worth it, and I’m only happy to help expand the number of living Shroobs in our nation, especially since we successfully invaded the Mushroom Kingdom of the so-called past.
At home, I also enjoy mechanics, science and all that jazz. I guess you could say that I oftentimes practise stuff for the next day at work that way? Just except for the fact that in this case, it doesn’t come to ectobiology, since that’s absolutely not something to try at home!”
—–
Penny
Full name: Penny Lane Agoiraku
Age: 13 or 14
Gender: female (she/her)
Race: RC Shroober
Most notable details: round glasses, pink heart ornament on head, lab coat (sometimes)
Likes: science, physics, math, algebra, (ecto)biology, inventing anything, robots, experiments, computers, school, singing, foods
Dislikes: humans, any experiment going wrong, getting low grades, being hazed
“I’m one of Mars’s classmates, but seemingly more intelligent than John and Jade’s heated friendly rivalry altogether, as I’m the only one who mostly gets A’s and A+’s. Of course I don’t mind being called a nerd, because I know I am one, too! Not because of my glasses that I also have to wear due to nearsightedness, but like I already mentioned, the high grades!
My parents’ lives were also taken by the hands of those nasty humans, but fortunately, my grandfather, who is a Shroid, was lucky to have survived by not showing up when those humans came to what used to be known as Toad Town, but is nowadays known as Shroob Town. I live with him ever since losing my parents, and we perform all sorts of experiments together, because as a child, I was very interested in his experiments and often wanted to perform along with those, but he never allowed me to do so until I only just turned 13, which expanded my horizons so much!
Also, since our species are slowly fading away from existence, I perform a weekly session of ectobiology in the hope that we can still keep on living forth in the (near) future, which makes quite a difference to having to go through tons of childbirths as a female Shroob, as the process goes a lot quicker, too. Ectobiology is a fairly new something in the world of science and biology, but only my grandfather and I know how it goes without fail, so it’s a secret for everyone else! Yes, even for our monarchs, and you, the one who reads this!
However, when I’m not focusing on anything in the way of science or ectobiology, I sing all sorts of songs. If you want to hear my golden voice (or so my grandfather calls it), I’m to be found in the main karaoke bar every Friday evening!”

Trivia about... Alice.
Full name: Alastair Marie Connors
Age: 14½
Gender: female (she/they)
Race: Shrooba Diver
Most notable details: Shy Guy mask, rosy cheeks when the mask is off
Likes: languages, her mask, candy, performing tricks, juggling, unicycling, mime, illusionism, Halloween
Dislikes: being hazed, others touching her mask, fire, knives, all things ‘girly’, ribbons, bows, humans
“I’m quite shy, if I may say so myself… but somehow, nobody cares about me wearing a mask, not even the teachers…! As long as nobody touches my mask, it’s alright, of course.
Everyone knows me as ‘the masked performer’ (duh!), as I’ve been born and raised in a quite well-known circus family, and have always been interested in doing ‘circus-y’ things, mainly juggling, ever since pre-school. That being confirmed, my parents officially accepted me as a true circus person, and I’ve been doing all sorts of tricks for years to be part of many shows as well. I’ve officially started performing along with my parents and four siblings ever since the summer break in between 3rd and 4th grade, and ever since, I’ve gained quite some iconicity and popularity as the masked performer, who mainly specialises in juggling on a unicycle and doing mime.
Some ‘hurdles' I still have to jump over are fire and anything with knives and other sharp objects, as they’ve always somewhat scared me for my entire life, yet I’m somehow still eager to also include fire-breathing, knife throwing, and magic with the saw and wooden box in my series of acts and specialties someday.
One of the things that’s yet to be a skill of mine is illusionism, and I’m trying very hard to master that to the fullest. No, no, not to fool my classmates or anything, but to fool the audience, of course, as many professional illusionists do, right?”

Trivia about... Shikao.
Full name: Shikao Haruki Watanabe
Age: 15
Gender: male (he/they)
Race: (not-so-)Dr. Shroob
Most notable details: freckles, wears contacts rather than glasses during sports class, lateral lisp
Likes: science, physics, maths, algebra, bad puns, lame jokes, computers, cooking, playing darts, helping others out, Penny (on occasion), his crush Bede, his best friend Alice
Dislikes: others pestering/hazing him about his lisp, humans, flowers (allergic to), anime, history, Penny (on occasion)
“‘Are you pleathed now, Thhhhhikao?’ Yup, that’s the kind of hazing that I often have to go through, because I have this unsolvable lisp and never seem to be able to be more obvious when talking to others. (Speech problems are a common thing in my family from my mother’s side.) This might become a huge problem once I enroll in university, as my goal is to become a professional doctor, and almost three quarters of my family consists of doctors, including my Dad.
My not-so-friendly arch-rival is Penny, as she’s the one who pesters me with my lisp most of all, especially when I seem not to know something during any class we’re in together, the most notable example being that one time when I forgot that potassium reacts to water, and Penny literally had to put up a fireworks show of potassium and water to practically prove it to me. She doesn’t seem to mind doing experiments during science and physics, though, and neither do I. Indeed, despite being each other’s arch-rivals, we’re also often each other’s study partners during such classes!
Another thing that I’m known for that’s not my lisp, is the fact that I often tell my classmates bad puns and lame jokes, and they can hardly stop laughing once I have told at least one in a more convenient situation.” (transliterated from his usual speech with the lisp)

Trivia about... Dad and Mum.
Dad
Full name: Jake Alexander Gomata, jr.
Age: 32
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: ‘regular’ Shroob
Most notable details: white fedora-esque hat, pipe that releases bubbles whenever ‘smoked’
Likes: his family, spy movies and novels, writing, computers, baking, blowing bubbles, hats, maths, languages, trickery, pranks, playing the piano, Urchie
Dislikes: humans, coffee, the news, getting up late, oversleeping, his children refusing to listen to him, others not taking ‘no’ for an answer, rain, drama shows
“I’m the father of the Gomata household. I don’t live with my parents, but vice versa, as they never wanted to leave my side ever since June and I had John shortly after passing our exams. They’re both great parents and grandparents to all of us, and even accept June as if she’s their own child, since her being estranged by her own parents is quite extreme, to say the least.
To contribute along with our financial situation, I am an author who writes spy fiction which sells quite well, and of which our Jane is also a huge fan, if it’s not spy movies. I work from home as I write those stories on the computer (don’t worry, in case of emergency, they’re saved on an external hard drive), and my wife is also my administrator, and we both make quite a good sum of money that way, too.
Regarding my job, I prefer to start early: it starts with me getting up at 6 in the morning and being all set one or one and a half hour later. Indeed, I occasionally have breakfast along with John and Jane (and, in rare cases, Joey and Jude as well) in case they cannot sleep anymore around the same time, so they can help me prepare the breakfast as well before eating it and subsequently preparing themselves for school (except in case of Jude, of course), if there’s no break for them, at least. Me, I think such situations are the best as experienced by me, as having breakfast alone sure feels different in the social respect.”
-----
Mum
Full name: June Brittany Gomata (née Clockwork)
Age: 32
Gender: female (she/her)
Race: Guardian Shroob
Most notable details: common blush on her cheeks, lilac apron
Likes: her family, her parents-in-law, cooking, cleaning, plants, flowers, Urchie, romantic shows, being in and around the house
Dislikes: humans, being hazed, her children refusing to listen to her, others not taking ‘no’ for an answer, the news, horror shows
“I look like a housewife, but I really do work - from home! I’m an administrator for my husband’s publishing company, and he also works from home that way. He writes spy fiction and all that, and I’m convinced that Jane wants to take over that position once she finishes college or the university… most likely the latter, as she always seems to outsmart her classmates somehow, much like John. I kind of wonder if the youngest two will also outsmart their classmates once they enroll grade school, as my husband and I have experienced it as well, so it must be a typical Gomata family quirk, I presume…?
I’ve known my husband for so long. We first met in pre-school but officially fell in love near the end of 6th grade, and believe it or not, we didn’t just graduate early because we both outsmarted our classmates, but also because of the fact that we only had John at age 17… which is why my parents stopped talking to me, but thank the lord that I still have my parents-in-law in case I want someone else than my husband or children to speak to. Not that literally everything bothers me the whole time, except for those humans lately, of course.”

Trivia about... Jude.
Full name: Jude David Gomata
Age: 2
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: ‘regular’ Shroob
Most notable details: pink blanket that he holds on to all day, nappy, blue dummy while he sleeps
Likes: his parents, grandparents and older siblings, his blanket, following in Joey’s footsteps, cake, his sister’s baking, running, jumping in puddles, wearing anything as a hat, playgrounds, Urchie
Dislikes: having to have his blanket washed, falling over, humans, others angering him, anything negative happening to his siblings, high temperatures, certain vegetables, being adored
“Hiya! I not cute…! I be Jude.”
(Jude is the youngest Gomata sibling. He’s consistently adored by his family, much to his own dismay, as he thinks he’s a grown-up child already since he often follows Joey in his footsteps.
Jude is never seen without his pink blanket which he owned since birth, indeed, he loves it so much that every time his parents think it needs a washing, he refuses to give it up until his father addresses him by his full name… which is a good way to make Jude give in, right?
Aside of the many tantrums he throws on a daily basis, Jude’s also a funny child and a sweetheart: for instance, he has worn many pot(tie)s, vases and pans as hats out of his high amount of curiosity, pronounces new words in quite a humorous fashion (even though he doesn’t like being laughed at that by anyone), and he cares about his family to the point where he doesn’t want anything negative happening to them and protects them from any harm that one can imagine.)

Trivia about... Joey.
Full name: Joey Jake Gomata
Age: 6
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: Guardian Shroob
Most notable details: neon green cap worn with the brim to the side, a few missing teeth
Likes: being outside, running, pestering his siblings (on occasion), painting, jumping in puddles, cartoons, vegetables, kicking rocks around, Urchie, his mother’s cooking
Dislikes: humans, bathing, his dyslexia, losing his cap, flowers, jazz music, being hazed, anything negative happening to his siblings
“Hi, I’m Joey! I’m brimming with energy and I’m to be found outside every day, which I enjoy to the fullest, whether I’m with friends or on my own.
I’m the younger brother of John and Jane and the big brother of Jude, who already follows in my footsteps, much to my grandparents’ and parents’ disapproval, because they don’t want ‘two troublemakers’ around the house… who says I’m a troublemaker? Not me, in any case!
At school, I have quite some friends as well, and they’re quite helpful if it comes to reading, because even though I’ll be in first grade next year, I still cannot read that well, and I hate that! To be honest, I wish there was a cure for my inability to read, but John and Jane say that science for that is near, so that seems like good news, I guess?”

Trivia about... Jane.
Full name: Jane Brianna Gomata
Age: 11
Gender: female (she/her)
Race: Guardian Shroob
Most notable details: oval/ellipse glasses, slight overbite, traditional braces on her top teeth, small flower on her cap
Likes: maths, languages, occasional science, drawing, literature, cake, candy, spy movies and novels, computers, hats, Urchie, flowers
Dislikes: humans, being hazed, annoying other Shroobs (mainly some of her classmates), economics, politics, anything negative happening to her siblings
“I’m John’s younger and only sister, and unlike many sibling stories I’ve heard, we’re a pretty good match for each other (we’re even the only siblings around our household who share a room), as we’re both quite intelligent in comparison to many others we know in our lives.
To be honest, I’m really wondering how intelligent our younger brothers will be later on, because Joey already seems to be willing to learn tons of stuff that John and I already know, and Jude often tries to follow after his three older siblings as well, so that may just be a good sign, too.
At school, I’m also the most intelligent student out of all of my classmates, of which they do not always approve, which is why I only have very few friends and often feel lonesome, even at home. However, I won’t be surprised if one day, my teacher will tell me that I’m allowed to go to middle school early because of my outstanding intelligence. And if I go to college, I’m willing to study anything in the way of what most of the stereotypical spies and problem sleuths do - you know, interrogations and whatnot. I just loooove such scenes in spy movies and novels.”

Trivia about... Sean.
Full name: Sean Ray Marvin Shigihara
Age: 22
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: Shrooba Diver
Most notable details: black cloak that barely covers his eyes, fake wizard wand he often wields, lazy-looking eyes when the hood of his cloak isn’t worn
Likes: candy, LARP, wizardry, fantasy, drama shows, D&D, classical music, cosplaying, reading, making and telling bad jokes, sorcery
Dislikes: lettuce, coleslaw, anyone hazing his interests, humans, J-pop, Shrooblets
“Hi, I’m Sean (pronounced ‘Shawn’), and this is my seap… just kidding, I’m here to introduce myself, aren’t I?
I am a wizardry geek who often plays this role while selling candy at the hotel’s candy stand. Unlike many others of my age, I actually like my job, and everyone keeps on coming back because of the flattery I seemingly give out to other geeks. Yup, as a child, I even ‘infected’ my younger sister with it, but as a result, we did become polar opposites regarding our geekiness.
If I’m not in charge of the candy shop, my sister is, and I’m mostly to be found at wizardry conventions to get to know more Shroobs with the same interests and mindset as me. Perhaps I could once practise sorcery to repel humans from us, rather than using one of those lame old laser guns? Because I happen to know someone whose classmates are ninjas, and also use shurikens and a katana rather than those guns. All of my wizardry convention friends were stunned upon hearing this, and we’re now all working on learning sorcery as real wizards someday.”

Trivia about... Odeko.
Full name: Odeko Sanchez
Age: most likely 18 or 19
Gender: male (he/him)
Race: RC Shroober
Most notable details: stereotypical bellman hat, name label on where is chest is supposed to be
Likes: maths, algebra, ice cream, candy, J-pop, lifting weights, pulling pranks with his RC abilities
Dislikes: others pulling pranks back on him, video games, history, humans, young children
“I’m one of the bellmen at the Kunichinmi Hotel, and for that, intense power training surely is mandatory, because at the start of my job, I always used to complain about how heavy some of that luggage could be, much to the approval of my fellow bellmen!
In my daily life when I’m not lugging the luggage of others around and calculating how much it all weighs together, I mostly spend my social time with Mars, Bridget and Paris, with whom I always plot pranks which are especially aimed at ‘uncle’ Pierce, ‘auntie’ Melony, Mr. and Mrs. Shigihara, and Sean. They’re not always the same pranks, though, and we make sure to not let them occur too often either, but no matter what we’ve planned, they’re always fun and good for a few laughs.
Also, Bridget often tells me that I make her kokoro go dokidoki… what in the name of Princess Shroob does that even mean? Could someone please care to explain?”
