i think i have finally re-worked amaya in full but now the question is do i just re-write everything here, move blog or just put amaya on my multi & call it a day ? cause i fully re-worked their backstory & stuff, even the name. so i feel like a fresh start would be best.

I am legit upset because I am sorry?? that is not even remotely the same face. like cool awesome, the reasons I picked f2 over others were all erased. I never really...liked face 1 much, it was a bit too doll-ish for me. even though I adore the horns. but I picked f2 for the face ( horns had to grow on me, now I love the big fishy horns !) & now f2 is just a copy of 1...

made (human) amaya in the si/ms 4 which reminded me that they are. very cute looking. adorbs. full on smol round shojo protag... until they open their mouth & the scio.ns have to hold them back bcs they snapped & are yelling at a noble that "haven't met dirt so ugly not only is their mother ashamed of having them, their mother regrets even being born because now she's tied to someone who looks & behaves like rotten egg thrown up by a drunkard outside a shabby tavern!!"

apparently i never posted on this blog how heavily amaya's eyes change during the story so gotta do it now .

their original eyes - blue, normal looking. vibrant & usually with a fond or mischievous gaze, later cocky & confident because they really buy into the whole hero thing . their scales also have the usual more bone-y color that raen tend to have.

the dark circles start appearing shortly after the banquet & grow more intense as time goes on - their eyes change into a draconic look after 3.3 & their scales brighten too after too much exposure to a great wyrm's eye.

the dark circles stay until after 5.0 - after that their eyelashes turn white & they gain their fangs since the light corruption nearly turned them into a beast. but after managing to work through some stuff & gain a healthier mindset their dark circles at least disappear

In truth, he was a little more than concerned when he first saw them draw such a different type of weapon. Surely things had changed since the events at the Bloody Banquet, but he sensed there was more to this. He would keep his inquiries light, however. "Was conjury not exciting enough for you, then?"

they freeze on the spot, clearly startled by the question. maybe because they did not have to explain before - alphinaud had filled most people in ( quietly, in hushed tones as if speaking out loud the truth would change something ).

"I can't cast anymore." it's strange to finally admit it. their conjury had been their everything - it had been the way they defeated gaius, how they became known as the warrior of light. "it started earlier but..."

blue eyes look down at their hand - for a moment the shimmer of a cure spell appears but dies back down. "I can cast fine on myself in battle or use some of the offensive spells but the moment I try to heal someone else... it seems to recoil" it started after the banquet, but they ignored the flickers in their spells, kept their smile, kept going.

sometimes after haurchefant's death and estinien's transformation into nidhogg they found themselves unable to heal others. "alphinaud already told the others so I won't hide it from you - even if the kid tries to keep his spirits about it and saying there surely is a way to fix it. not that we got the time" they give a quiet dry laugh - the vibrant hero from the beginning of their journey has made way for someone more practical and sarcastic.

"personally I don't mind. the sword gets my work done too and that's what counts. besides when it comes to magic we got you, y'shtola and urianger to turn to for questions. I can't compete with sharlayan scholars anyway"
