Could you do head cannons for Admiral Forrest Daughter x Soval? It would be cool if she used her mom’s maiden name so people don’t treat her differently due to her dad.
Soval… my beloved
Hope you enjoy… I hope it’s something you wanted
* They meet at a holiday party at the embassy
* It’s not something Vulcans really enjoy however as ambassador Soval feels it’s his duty to attend
* It’s loud, there’s lots of foods and drinks and lights. Soval really just wants to go home
* Soval breaks off the little group of Vulcans, who are probably just standing in a corner watching the humans interact with each other.
* Forest’s daughter was standing by the fruit punch when Soval walked over.
* “Cheery Evening, isn’t it?” The happy young woman asks Soval.
* As they begin to talk Soval realizes he likes talking to her.
* Soval had seen her before, maybe a secretary of Forest’s
* After the party Soval seems to noticed the girl more often, giving compliments on her apprentice, something he’s seen that is a common behavior among humans
* Every time Soval was around the girl, he found himself more drawn to her. His face would feel warm and his heart fluttered in his chest.
* Eventually Soval realizes his feelings, it’s illogical to deny them.
* He asks her out and they have a few dinners together, a couple walks in the park around the ambassador’s busy schedule.
* Soval doesn’t look like it, but he really does love to cuddle. He’ll mask it as “human need for touch” but he wants it just as much as her.
* He’s an excellent cook, and when he isn’t busy, he is cooking meals, and impromptu dinner dates
* It isn’t until months after the forming relationship when Soval finds out that she is Admiral Forest’s daughter.
* They shared some likeness, however didn’t share a name
* Soval is unsure of how to feel about the situation
* Soval feels almost as if he’s betraying his friend.
* After a talk with his friend, Forest is a little annoyed, it is his daughter, and the ambassador is even well over his own age. But he concedes, his daughter is happy, and he trusts his friend.

I don’t think it’s as problematic as people think it is, yeah he’s 60, but for Vulcans that’s still pretty freakin young! T’Pol was 66 (tho, Trip, her love interest was like 30?)
Vuclans live for on average 200 years, right? (we’re guessing cause Sarek was 202 or 203 when he died?) Middle aged would be around 100 years old, 60 is a little over 1/4 of that life span.
Basically, Sarek was the equivalent of a mid 20s human I think…? Maybe I’m wrong tho 😅
The fact that Sarek was in his 60s when he married Amanda, who was 19, is definitely problematic, but consider:
- Sarek was extensively briefed on human etiquette before becoming ambassador, and one of the many things he was taught was "Do not ask a woman her age. It is considered impolite."
- Humans are aliens, and he has trouble accurately guessing their age. Oh sure, he can tell the difference between a toddler, a child, a young adolescent, etc. But from upper teens to elders is just a blur to him. "Gray hair? They must be at least 160. No, wait, they don't live that long...30? That doesn't seem right either."
- Sarek knows Amanda is an adult, due to the fact she has her own apartment and is employed full-time. He's not sure of anything beyond this. Is she 20? 40? Who knows? Definitely not Sarek.
- They marry, and the news reports it. "Ambassador Sarek of Vulcan, and his new human wife, Amanda Grayson, 19.."
Sarek: 19 what?
Amanda: years of age, of course.
Sarek:... excuse me?

I don’t think they would have outright cursing, however I do think they tend to have double meanings to their words. Like you said, when Spock said “ Live long and prosper” he really meant “yeah fuck you” I think it’s all in tone, body language, and the mood of the room.
I think ancient Vulcan would have cursing though! Maybe teenage Vulcans sometimes use it. Lol
Would Vulcans even have cuss words? Like, obviously anything can be a curse word if given the right inflection, but culturally speaking, seeing as curse words are only ever used as an expression to amplify the emotion behind a word, would Vulcans even bother with them?
I ask this like AOS Spock didn’t make “Live long and prosper” sound exactly like “Get fucked and die” when talking to the the Vulcan Science Academy Council. So I must assume they have the ability to cuss, but don’t. Probably for the sheer power of it. Imagine Spock saying fuck? That would have the power of a Q.

Vulcan Silk Plant :: Ka’zhal
A tall flowering plant; around 90cm or about 3ft.
Has large feathery flow that is violet, blue, or pink depending on where the plant grows.
Birds love to pick and eat the seeds of this plant which helps spread its seeds.
Always grows near water, whether the water is underground or on the surface.
Ancient Vulcans used these plants to easily find a water source.
The leaves are tear shaped large and very thick. When sliced it has a slimy texture like aloe.
The silk that grows on the leaves and stem of the plant prevents most animals from eating it as the silk is extremely sticky. This also prevents insects from eating the plant. The silk also helps protect the plant from the harsh sun and sand storms.

So I decided to draw a little picture of that Vulcan Silk Plant I mentioned in my Vulcan Headcanons
I am really proud of it !
Please don't judge my horrible handwriting, both Golic Vulcan and English ;;;
I really suck at coming up with names for things, but I felt like it needed a name, so I've come up with Ka'zhal
Ka from the Vulcan word Kastik
And Zhal from the Vulcan word for whisper, if you reader the Vulcan dictionary it would make more sense (´°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥ω°̥̥̥̥̥̥̥̥`)

Thanks for answering my ask. I love it!
No problem! I love the Andorians! I’d be hard pressed to pick between them and Vulcans honestly. I may be adding more Andorian headcanons in the future!

Andorian Headcanons
Requested by: @irchocolate
Just like my last set of headcanons this has no base in canon really and just stuff that my brain creates thank you
* Andorian blood is also copper based, (I didn’t mention this in my last head canon post and I’ll probably add it to my add list but I think for Vulcans their blood has some other compound in it to make it green).
*Andorians are insectoids!
* Because Andorians live in caverns underground, the air can be a little thin at times.
* Andorians have a really high metabolism.
* Andorians are like radiators, they’re really warm! Perfect to snuggle with in the winter.
* Andorians also like to sleep in groups, it’s actually both cultural and instinctual. Because it’s so cold on Andor/Andoria sleeping together keeps anyone from freezing to death in their sleep, especially the children.
* Because Andoria/Andor is so cold Andorians have a mostly meat based diets, they have some plants that grow and they eat, but too much fiber is bad for Andorian stomachs.
* Andorians marry in groups of four or more, and the groups and consist of any combination of genders. Some Andorians marry in twos, but is rare and unusual. However, Aenar do only marry in twos.
* Because they all sleep in groups together Andorians have almost no concept of personal space. They love to be near each other. The only intimate touching is touching that is meant to be intimate and antenna touches.
* Andorians give lovers and offspring antenna kisses! Two Andorians stand close together and gently tap antenna together. It’s similar to kissing or hugs and is a display of affection.
* Andorians who aren’t well trained are horrible at hiding their true feelings, the antenna give it away! It’s a part of their body language.
* Andorian ale has a really high alcohol content, it can reach up to 80-90%. They can drink a lot of it safely because of their high metabolism.
* Shran most definitely watered down the ale he’d given Archer, no need to accidentally kill his new pink friend!
* Speaking of pink, Andorians have a very different way of seeing. They can see hundreds of more colors than humans can. Seeing more colored helped Andorians find more food in a planet that is covered in mostly white.
* They may be able to see more colors but unfortunately Andorians don’t have good eyesight. Living in caverns underground you really don’t need to see too far anyways. Their eyesight ranges at 20 / 30-20 / 70 based on a human snellen chart. (Better then my eyesight though >.>)
* Andorians keep pets too! There’s a giant beetle like creature (about half a foot to a foot long) Andorians love! They love their pets as close as family, so Archer’s love for his Beagle wouldn’t be too foreign to an Andorian.
* Andorians usually have between 1-4 children during one pregnancy. It’s more common to have 2-3 though.
* Unfortunately, during the end of the 22nd century and until the mid-23rd century a virus went around causing difficulty in pregnancy. This caused a steep decline in their population.
* Andorian bones are damn near impossible to break. They’ll sustain impact related internal bleeding well before breaking any bones.
* Andorians are really good with the cold and the heat, but obviously they prefer to be nice and cool
* Andorians are incredibly selfless, and loyal. More so to their own people than others, but if you gain an Andorian as a friend, I can guarantee you’ll have a loyal lifelong friend.
* When Andorians want to join the military they pair up and go to the surface for survival training. The surface is cold and harsh. A mild snow storm can blind anyone, only being able to see an arms length away. To pass training both Andorians must come back in an Andorian week alive. It’s a difficult test however Andorians are very motivated and with team work most are able to pass.
(This last headcanon is really iffy and I’m not sure if I like it or dislike it, the idea is interesting but I’m teetering)
* Ever wondered where Andorian silk comes from? The Andorians of course! Female Andorians can produce the silk from a gland inside their throats. This adaptation evolved to protect infant Andorians after they were born. The silk not only was strong enough to protect infants from small predators but also cold winds, and the silk had antibacterial properties that kept the child from getting sick. When the child gets bigger he will eat the silk. Childless Andorians can still produce the silk and often to do sale it intergalacticly but it is difficult to produce a lot and takes a lot of energy. This is why Andorians silk is rare and expensive.

@fayallir
That’s super interesting way of looking at it I think!
I think the physical development of Vulcans is mostly done around early 20s of Vulcans but the mental and neurological development of Vulcans is done around 30, since Vulcan brains are more complex than humans and may need significantly more time to develop!
I think for humans some people (Afab) don’t stop growing until years after their period (I was 4’7” but I reached 5’1” my last year of high school!) so maybe the same refers to Vulcans as well!
@thewrongbookshop
Spock is just an outlier! Because he’s half Vulcan and half human some of his biology stuff might not line up exactly with humans or Vulcans. In TOS T’Pring, Spock, and I’m assuming his parents all assumed that Spock would not go through Pon Farr. Unfortunately for him he did, twice, both time at unusual times.
@reveriewings
Yeah totally! I’m glad you like my headcanons enough to want to use them! Send me a link, I may want to read it! 😍
Some Vulcan Headcanons
They have like no base in canon just things I thought about Vulcans most of them don’t have evidence either. Most of my Vulcan fanfics will probably be based off these headcanons, I’ll be adding and editing this post whenever I feel differently or think of new things~ 💕
* Vulcans can outrun humans with speed, however humans can outrun Vulcans by distance.
* Vulcans are better climbers
* Vulcans have death grips. Once they have you, it’s gonna be difficult to get away.
* They have slightly longer fingers, better for climbing!
* Vulcans can’t jump as high as a human can, however, it isn’t by much, a couple inches at most.
* Vulcans eat a lot more than they are shown. Even though they have slow metabolisms they have dense muscles that need lots of protein, luckily there are lots of high protein grains and vegetables on Vulcan.
* Ancient Vulcans were cave dwellers. The caves provided protections of predators and kept them cooler in the extreme heat of Vulcan.
* Due to the fact that the seas are small and in few numbers on Vulcan, most Vulcans cannot swim, however, in coastal towns, more of them have the knowledge on how to swim, but it seems most Vulcans still prefer to not to go for a dip. There is always the odd duck who loves to swim though.
* Before sonic showers, Vulcan use small bucks of water with a rag, or more commonly sand to bathe with
* Because of their muscles and flexibility, Vulcans don’t take a lot of fall damage, even a Vulcan child could fall from the a height that would easily kill a human and walk away with minor injuries
* Vulcan have very strong leg bones and muscles because of the slightly higher gravity than Earth
* Vulcans in the north prefer spicier food while people in the south prefer food with little, if any, spice. Humans to try the food are often stuck with something that seems boring to them, or just downright painful from the spice
* Because of their telepathic abilities, Vulcan babies need a lot of skin contact in their first few months after birth. It is not uncommon for a Vulcan mother or father to carry their infant child to their bare chest, even in public, usually tucked into their robes
* Because Vulcans are touch telepaths children get a sense of calm from their parents when they are in contact but also form familiar bonds, lack of touch can lead to malformation and damage to new neural networks in the infants brain
* Vulcan toddlers are volatile, they have yet to master their emotions and tend to throw fits over many things. Skin contact, such as hugging, holding and cuddling, from their parents usually calms them down. It’s common for children from ages 0-5 to sleep in their parent’s bed as they need near constant contact. During this time Vulcan parents begin to tech meditative practices such as hymns and monturas. As Vulcan children grow older, parents will begin to slowly step away from skin contact in exchange for led meditations
* On Vulcan, it is common practice for one of the parents to stay home and raise the child or children, however, if one of the parent die, close family such as grandparents or aunts and uncles will also help take care of the child or children.
* Young Vulcan children (5-12) do not completely suppress their emotions, they do however learn not to express them. Bullying, fighting, and rebellious behavior is not uncommon for this age group.
* For older Vulcan children (between 13-25) who have difficulty controlling their emotions, even with led meditations, the child is usually sent to a monastery for education.
* Vulcans aren’t fully mature until after the age of 30.
* Vulcans usually don’t experience Pon Farr until after the age of 30, usually between 30-35, but there has been some outliers. Some Vulcans can go through Pon Farr as early as 26 and as old as 40, but this is uncommon and usually means there is a health problem.
* Both male and female Vulcans go through Pon Farr.
* I don’t care what anyone tells me, Vulcans do and will have sex outside of Pon Farr.
* Vulcan ear shape is hereditary. The more curved ears you see on Spock, Sarek, Taurik are less common than the flat ears you see on T’Pol and Tuvok
* Vulcans with light colored eyes tend to have bad vision and worsens with age. They tend to spend more time inside because the sun can be unbearable at times. But Vulcans with light colored eyes can see in the dark better than Vulcans with dark colored eyes. Light colored eyes was a mutation that only accrued after urbanization of Vulcan.
* Vulcans are cold to the touch, like someone who has been outside without a coat in winter. Because they’re naturally cooler Vulcans don’t need to sweat to keep cool. If ancient Vulcans got too hot they could move into caves to cool down.
* Young Vulcans (under the age of 10) and old Vulcans (over the age of 130) have a difficult time keeping warm. On modern Vulcan it is fixed with indoor heating and cooling.
* Vulcan has many hot springs, most of which are underground, and are popular. However most tourists, such a humans, cannot use them as most are too hot.
* Vulcans have two different types of robes. Robes they wear during the day that keep them cool, and robes for night to keep them warm.
* The silk that Vulcans robes are made of are actually from a plant. The plant produces a silk like substance that is sticky to prevent animals from eating it. It’s very strong and ancient Vulcans scrapped the silk from the plants and ate them. Modern day Vulcans grow these plants near the seas in the north and far south near the pole.
* Other Vulcan clothing is made from wool from an animal that is similar to sheep and alpaca. Their wool is usually use to make evening wear. The wool also used in the making of blankets, pillows, and rugs
* The soles of Vulcans shoes are usually made from a hard woody root, which were better for walking on rock. Vulcan shoes can also be made from a type grass that is common on Vulcan, which are better for walking in sand. Shoes for military are made from rubber.
* The reason why Vulcans in tos have all kind of different hair styles is because at that time period Vulcan youth wanted to rebel against common standers, it’s also why T’Pring did not wear a traditional Vulcan wedding dress.
* It’s common for Vulcan women to cover their hair, whether it be long or short. Not only does it keep their hair clean from sand but it also protects their head from the sun.
* There is actually a wide variety of fashion on Vulcan, differing types of robes, dresses, and suits. Most common colors are usually neutrals but silvers, blues, purples, and greens are common in the south while golds, reds, oranges, and yellows are more common in the north.
* The common Vulcan bowlcut, humans call it, is more common in the government and military of Vulcan. The short hair is easy to maintain and keep care of. Many Vulcan citizens has varying hairstyles and most depend on what region they live in. It is not uncommon for Vulcan men and women to have long hair, especially if they do not work in manual labor.
* Most Vulcan men shave their faces. There are many reasons for it, such as, it’s cleaner, easier to maintain, keeps them cooler, and it looks more professional.
* When it comes to body hair, it is 50/50 on who shaves. The area around the reproductive organs are usually maintained but not shaved, as for legs, arms, and under arms, some areas it is more common to save than others. Young Vulcan men usually shave their chest, but as they get older is more uncommon.
* Vulcan women have on occasion worn makeup. Buying makeup on Vulcan is uncommon, many women on Vulcan grow plants that can be use for make up such as flowers that can be ground for lipstick or a crushed leaf for rouge. These plants usually have other uses such as medical or as food.
* Sehlats are not the only pets Vulcans keep. They also keep small rodents and occasionally a ferret like animal too.
* Vulcan pet names are usually old Vulcan names no one uses anymore or names of monsters or animals from ancient Vulcan literature.
* Sehlats aren’t fed meat, but instead high protein grain and vegetables and eggs. Sehlats are naturally omnivores but the need for meat was bred out of thousands of years.
