Hopefully I can finally be healed-up this week.
Anyways, have some drawings from one of my childhood favourites that I finally got back into.
I was a baby when this aired 2 decades ago - 20 years later, I can finally celebrate it with my love and passion ~
I wonder if there is anyone left out there who is part of this old Cartoon Network fandom (where did you all go)...

Remember - I love other things too (multifandom) ~

I think poor Mace Windu deserves a nap... Let this man sleep he needs it... Anyway I think Depa and baby Caleb would draw on his face when they see him asleep in this essay i will
huge agree but I think he could only nap knowing his padawan and grandpadawan were also safe and relaxed. the only solution? lineage nap pile

I know I’m being an insufferable worldbuilding nerd here, but my basic metric for evaluating media with very inhuman protagonists is “how easily can one offer a complete and coherent account of this media’s plot without ever mentioning the fact that the protagonist is, for example, a talking car?”. The harder it is, the higher it scores.

Batman and the League (plus the batkids) get trapped on another planet somehow, and Bruce keeps quietly handing his rations over to his children. Because he knows what it’s like to go without, to go for days without eating and work through the pain, but almost every single one of his kids knows what it’s like to be hungry. And even though he shouldn’t, he hands over his food, piece by piece.

What's actually happening: It consumes my thoughts every single day. The urge to write gets stronger but my putty brain just. won't. let. it. happen.

My contribution to @dincobbzine I'm so excited to get to share this with everyone!! Read on AO3
Din watched the stars, lazily tracking the slow crawl of a few clouds across the night sky. Above his head, the breeze ruffled the leaves of the tree they were camped under, and had been since a light shower had sent them ducking for cover. He listened to Grogu’s soft snoring, tucked into Din’s cloak on the grass to keep out the creeping chill, exhausted after a day spent traipsing across town. Beneath that, he heard Cobb Vanth’s even breathing beside him, relaxed but not quite asleep.
Din breathed in once, long and slow. Held it as he tried not to think about the lingering heat in his palm. The buzz in his fingertips. The twist in his stomach. The memory of a rough, gloved hand wrapped around his wrist, calloused fingers brushing a bare patch of skin where Din’s sleeve had ridden up.
He breathed out and let the feelings wash away with the breeze.
“You awake, Mando?”
Din didn’t answer, choosing instead to stroke a thumb along the crown of Grogu’s head. Vanth huffed a laugh, soft and with an unusually self-deprecating edge.
“Suppose I deserve that after today. Wasn’t in my right mind, I guess. Not that it’s much of an excuse, mind you.”
“Don’t,” Din said, any strain in his voice filtered out by his helmet’s vocoder. He didn’t want the apology Vanth would offer. Not for that.
Din turned his head aside, away from the sky. Away from the vague outline of Cobb Vanth just an arm’s-length away. He stared at the town spread out beyond the knoll they’d claimed for themselves, its lamplight glittering in the dark. The small pinpricks of blue light looked almost like stars, their soft glow not enough to obstruct the view. Nothing at all like the light pollution common in other cities, but not the total darkness of unoccupied territory, either.
Earlier, as the sun had begun to set and the crowds in the colorfully decorated plaza had thinned, a local had told them that they’d changed out the town’s regular crystals for colored variants. Blue, they’d said, to match the little bell-like blossoms crowding every window, arch, and stall throughout the festival. For luck, another had told him, holding out a little crown of those same flowers strung together at the stems for Grogu to wear.
Vanth had laughed, the fresh scrape on his cheek stretching with his smile, and said they could’ve used some of that luck a few days back.
Now, on the knoll and under the stars, Vanth said nothing. He let the silence stretch instead, for however long Din wanted. And he might have let it, once, until long after the moment had passed and their thoughts drifted to other topics. But that was before.
Before this latest job had brought them together again, reluctant though Vanth might have been to leave Freetown. Before this planet and its vernal festival and the way Vanth’s hand had held his, firm at first and then… then soft. Warm and insistent as he’d pulled Din close with that snarky, teasing grin on his face, hair mussed by his own crown of bright blue blossoms. Both of them caught up in the fun until Vanth had pulled Din so close their heads had nearly touched.
Close enough that Din might have felt Vanth’s breath on his face without his helmet. Close enough he’d almost wished it hadn’t been there if only so he could have leaned in and—
“Mando,” Vanth started. Din cut him off in a rush, voice low enough he worried it hadn’t carried.
“Din.”
Silence stretched between them for a few gut-twisting seconds, until Vanth repeated, “Din?”
“My name.”
“Oh.”
Din listened to Vanth move, grass and cloth and the subtle pop of a joint. Din didn’t so much as twitch in his direction, choosing to keep his gaze firmly fixed on the horizon and his back flat on the ground. “You don’t strike me as the kind of man who gives his name out too often.”
“I don’t,” he said. His parents and covert had known it. Grogu would know it. No one else. Except Vanth. “I’d prefer if you didn’t tell anyone else.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” A pause. “Din.” Then, after another brief lull, “why tell me?”
Din opened his mouth. Closed it.
“I trust you,” he said, and it wasn’t a lie. He trusted Vanth. As a fighter in battle. As an ally. As a friend. “I trust you,” he repeated, little more than a whisper, and staunchly ignored how his chest tightened.
He didn’t startle when Vanth’s hand touched his elbow, light enough that he barely felt it through his suit. For one moment, he considered not turning. Considered letting the conversation die there, short and unfinished. A coward’s retreat.
Din had been many things in his life, but never a coward.
He sat up, turning away from the town and stars until it was only Vanth taking up the majority of his visor’s view. Vanth sat as though the curl of his shoulders could shrink him. His hair, flowerless now, had been further mussed up by the grass and wind and rain so it stuck up and flopped in his face. Din couldn’t help the way his mouth twitched at the sight. Couldn’t help the way his heart skipped when Vanth next spoke.
“Cobb.”
Din blinked, tipped his helmet slightly to one side at the non sequitur. Vanth smiled, all teeth and charm and said, “My name. If I know yours, I figure it’s fair you call me by mine. Yeah?”
“Okay.” Din inhaled one long, slow breath. Tried to buy himself enough time to cool some of the heat that had risen to his face. Then, in as even a tone as he could manage, he added, “Cobb.”
The flush on Vanth’s — Cobb’s — cheeks was just barely visible under the night’s limited light. Din smirked at the sight. It was satisfying, somehow, to see him fluster, even if just in this small way. Cobb cleared his throat after a moment, ducking his head just a fraction before looking back up.
“I… did want to thank you, Din. Not just for the bounty, but for this. Today,” he said with a vague wave of his hand. “I know you wanted to get off this planet quick. Get us both back to our regular lives and all.” He chuckled. “Suns know I don’t care much for leaving Freetown for too long, and this was all more so for the little one’s sake, but—”
“It wasn’t.”
“What?”
Din hesitated. He felt the flush return to his face, but pressed on. If he took to fiddling with some blades of grass by his knee to distract himself, well. Cobb was smart enough not to comment on it.
“This,” Din said, forcing his shaky voice to even. “We didn’t stay just for Grogu. I—” he swallowed, mouth dry. “You looked curious, and I kind of know what it’s like to grow up on a planet with little more than dust or dirt. Or sand,” he added with a shrug and a nod towards Cobb. “I thought you’d like it. Seeing this.”
“I did.” Cobb grinned, one side of his mouth pulling a fraction higher than the other. “Thanks.”
Din nodded again. Hesitated. He pressed his lips into a thin line and worked his fingers back into the grass, soft and long and easily bent by the wind. It tickled his wrist, the same bare patch where his sleeve had ridden up earlier. The same place Cobb’s fingers had touched. Warmed his skin like the fire in the Armorer’s forge, hot enough it lingered hours later.
“You tried to apologize,” Din said, somehow managing not to stumble over the words. “Earlier.”
Cobb’s smile dimmed a fraction.
“I did.” Cobb scratched at the rough stubble on his face, sheepish. “And I am sorry for overstepping…” he started but didn’t finish.
Din shook his head, reaching out to bridge the gap between them and fell just shy of touching Cobb.
“Don’t be. I’m—” He stopped. Watched his fingers hover just above Cobb’s hand. “Fighting is easy. It’s always been easy. You know where you stand with your enemies or allies.” He looked up, eyes finding Cobb’s with ease even as it made his stomach flip. “But this? Being with you. With friends,” he amended quickly, “is less clear. I’ve never needed to spend much time with… others outside of my work.”
He’d had his covert, before, to fill the gap, and Grogu after…. after. Now though?
“But you want to,” Cobb said, leading when Din fell quiet.
Din huffed, the sound caught between laughter and exasperation. At himself. At Cobb. At the words that wouldn’t come out right. He’d never been much for words when action got the job done quicker.
He let his fingers fall, twisting his hand so they brushed Cobb’s palm with a feather-light touch. Gentle in a way he usually reserved only for Grogu.
“I want to,” he said, and didn’t pull away when Cobb carefully closed his fingers around Din’s hand, grazing the bare patch of burning skin on his wrist.
“Me too,” Cobb said, wearing Din’s favorite smile.
