After
Synopsis: You help Astarion wash off the blood after he kills Cazador. He doesnât say muchâbut you can tell he needs you now more than ever.
A/N: I thought of this the other day and I almost cried. So I wrote it so that you can almost cry as well.
Words: 897
Warnings: trauma responses, fluff
Astarion was being unusually quiet, his movements robotic and too automatic as if he was somewhere else entirely in his mind. And he was. You couldnât blame him. He had his own demons to deal with after what you had just witnessed.
His hand was still clutching the dagger so tightly his knuckles turned white. But not even the blood stains on his bare skin could manage to disfigure him. He was as beautiful as ever despite the streams of tears drying on his cheeks.
Youâd wrapped your cloak around him after he announced he wanted to get out of there, eager to respect his wish. There was nothing left for him here. It was over. Now all he had to do was to heal, slowly, from the trauma the past two hundred years had caused him.
Both Shadowheart and Gale had offered to help calm him down with magic but Astarion had been quick to decline. It was dark outside by the time you left the palaceâa welcome circumstance. Though it was not uncommon for citizens to roam the city drenched in blood every now and then, you were certain Astarion was grateful for the absence of curious and suspicious looks as you made your way back to the Elfsong Tavern.
It wasnât just Cazadorâs death of course. Heâd turned it all down. The ability to walk in the sun, the powers Ascension would have granted him⊠Now heâd return to the shadows. But he wouldnât do it alone, that you were going to make sure of. He had you.
He was still silent by the time you returned to your room upstairs. Whoever had decided to stay behind todayâLaeâzel, Wyll, Jaheira, Halsin and Minscâtheir eyes all went wide the moment they laid their eyes on the blood-drenched vampire spawn.
The questions were burning on their tongues, you could tell. But they held back. You cleared your throat.
âWould you guys mind⊠leaving us for a bit? Join the others downstairs for a drink maybe?â
âUnderstood,â Jaheira said. She waved her hand and nodded, compassion glistening in her wise eyes. âTake your time.â
âAstarionâŠâ Minsc pushed Jaheira out of the way, earning him a groan. âIs⊠is Cazador dead?â
âYes, heâs dead, Minsc,â you answered for him. Jaheira grabbed his arm and dragged him along with her before he could say something else. Wyll, Laeâzel and Halsin followed suit.
âLet me know if you need anything,â the latter announced. A few heartbeats later, you were alone.
âLetâs get you cleaned up, love.â Your voice was barely a whisper but Astarion heard you nonetheless. He nodded and finally allowed you to peel the dagger from his grasp. You set it aside on a table and lead him to the washtub in the corner of the room.
The cloak slipped from his shoulders, sailing to the wooden floor. He made no move to pick it up, no move to help you as you filled the tub with warm water. In fact, you werenât sure he even saw you do it. But when you moved away to get him a fresh towel for later, you heard him.
âDonât leave,â he said softly. Your eyes darted back to him, taking in the vulnerability and helplessness surrounding him like cold mist.
âI wonât. Ever. I was just gonna get you a towel.â
âDonât leave,â he repeated.
The chest with your things was just around the corner, still, you opted against it. You forced the corners of your lips up and nodded, returning back to his side.
He didnât protest when you removed his bloodied trousers and had him step out of them, didnât resist when you made him climb into the tub and eventually, undressed yourself and reached for a sponge and soap before joining him.
Silence filled the room, water dripping as you dunked the sponge in. His sigh the moment it touched his cool skin was heartbreaking.
Inch by inch, you washed off the blood, pressing feather-light kisses to his chest and his face every now and then. Once you were done and the very last traces of Cazador had vanished, you cupped his cheeks, gently forcing him to look you in the eye.
âAre you gonna be okay?â
Astarion nodded. âI just needâŠtime.â To process. To decompress, to let everything that happened today sink in.
You nodded. âIâll be here. Iâll always be here, Astarion. I am so proud of you. What you did todayâŠthat was the bravest thing I have ever witnessed. You didnât have to do it and it wouldnât have made you any less brave if you hadnât faced him. But you did. I love you. And I will do anything in my power to help you through this, whatever you might need.â
The vampire smiledâit was a weak smile, and it didnât quite reach his eyes. But it was sincere nonetheless.
âThank you, my love. Thank you.â
You remained in the bath until the water was cold. After tiptoeing over to the clothing chest naked to finally retrieve the towels to dry off, you cuddled up in bed together, your limbs entangled and his face pressed against your neck. His breath evened surprisingly fast as he slipped into trance and you too closed your eyes, holding on to him tightly until you were certain he had found peace for tonight.

Magic Hands
Synopsis: Astarion teaches you how to use a dagger in battle. The sweaty training calls for a bath in the nearby river afterward and you canât help but admire the vampire rogue in the pale moonlight, surrounded by the glistening water surface. He seems⊠tense. Perhaps you can repay him by giving him a gentle massage?
A/N: Why did this take me so long to write, oh my gods! :D
Words: 2038
Warnings: smut, mentions of sexual trauma
Your battle cry echoed across the entire campsite when you plunged your blade forward. Laeâzelâs makeshift mind flayer dummy was rendered with holes at this point, oozing hey from several rips in the old fabric she had used to craft it.
The impact had you sway to one side and you shifted your weight, your left arm flailing about clumsily.
âGood. Now try that again without losing your balance.â
You grunted, shooting him an angry glance. He had his sleeves rolled up, and his arms crossed before his chest. It was almost distracting. Almost.
You had been at it for hours. Granted, it had been your ideaâif you were going to survive this involuntary adventure, you might as well learn how to defend yourself. You were surprised youâd even made it this far. And, since attacking from the shadows was much more your cup of tea than storming headfirst into battle like Wyll or Laeâzel, youâd kindly asked Astarion to help you out.
He was a tough and strict teacher, you had to give him that. But you were making quick progress too. Before today, you hadnât even been able to hold a dagger properly.
You withdrew your weapon and returned to your original position.
âAh-ah-ah. No, darling. What did we just learn?â His teasing voice went down like butter. That was even more distracting.
Astarion pointed at your left foot. You shifted in the dirt, creating a grovelling noise.
âThere we go. Now try again.â
You did as you were told, lunging at the dummy once more. Astarion tutted at you when you lost your balance yet again.
âHey, donât tut me!â
âI see where the problem lies now. Go on. Get back in position.â
Grunting once more, you obeyed. What you were not prepared for, however, was that he would step right behind you and place his hands on your stomach and waist. You sucked in a deep breath, tensing up.
âKeep tension here. Youâll want to make sure that lovely core of yours keeps you on your feet.â
Memories from your night in the woods came flooding back, sending you down a spiral of pleasure and arousal. You cleared your throat.
âOkay. I got it. I think.â
The sensation of loss was nearly overwhelming when he let go again. You could have sworn you saw him smirk from the corner of your eye.
You got into position again, took a deep breath, and⊠struck.
âGood girl.â You would have dropped the dagger had it not been lodged deeply within the mindflayer dummy. âAgain.â
Again. Again and again and again until Astarion was certain you got the hang of it. Your arms were burning by the time he clapped and finally let you off the hook for the day.
âBe honest, youâre enjoying this a little.â
The vampire smirked. âMore than just a little, darling.â
Heat crept up your cheeks, forcing you to bite your lower lip. âWhatever. I should get washed.â
âHmm, so should I.â
You offered him a smile. Making your way toward the lake, you walked past Laeâzel who was sharpening her sword, Karlach who was dancing to a song only audible to her, and Gale practicing little magic tricks. Wyll and Halsin were with Shadowheart, talking and drinking by the fireplace.
You sighed. It could have been peaceful if it wasnât for the imminent threat of a tadpole turning you all into thralls.
Once you reached the shore, there was no hesitation in your movements. You stripped off your clothes, knowing the bushes would hide you from unwanted eyes. As for Astarion⊠well⊠there was nothing he hadnât seen before.
The vampire followed suit though you did notice that he avoided your gaze as he undressed. You couldnât help but watch him regardless as he waded into the water until he was submerged hip-deep.
âYou look really fine in the moonlight, you know that?â you said, joining him swiftly.
âOf course I do, Iâm a vampire, darling.â He swam closer to you, allowing you to wrap your entire body around him. Astarionâs hands found your behind, squeezing gently.
âThatâs not what I meant,â you whispered. His lips were cold when you met them with yours, a playful kiss soon turning into a passionate display of affection.
By the time you finally broke apart panting, Astarion rolled his shoulders with a groan.
âIs everything alright? You seem even tenser than me.â
âOh well, it canât be helped. Must be the weight of being a hero on my shoulders,â he spat with dismay. Oh yeah⊠heâd made it clear his interest in saving the refugees was ridiculously small. You had your theories on that⊠yet there was no way in the hells Astarion was a terrible person but rather⊠a person terrible things had happened to. The scars on his back spoke for themselves.
âI could help with that if you want,â you said before you could stop yourself.
âHelp? How?â
âThis is gonna sound silly but I used to work as a massage therapist for a few years, back in Baldurâs Gate, I mean. I have magic hands. I know a lot of techniques to relieve back pain and back tensionâŠâ You trailed off, studying his reaction.
âMagic hands?â
Astarion narrowed his eyes at you and somehow, you knew exactly what was going on in his mind. Relieving a different kind of tension at your celebration with the Tieflings was one thing⊠having someone work his back and stroke every inch of exposed skin with skilled hands, right over the scars that had brought him so much torment⊠that was another.
âYou want to⊠well⊠IâŠâ
âIf you want to?â
âWell⊠I supposeâŠâ
You tilted your head. He wanted to accept, you could tell. But was that⊠concern glistening in his red eyes?
âYou know, Iâm, uh⊠Iâm not offering this to have sex with you again. I mean⊠I really, really enjoyed myself, Astarion but⊠I honestly feel like thatâs the reason youâre being wary, isnât it? Along with me, um⊠touching your scars.â
His lips parted.
âI just want to help. And only if youâll let me.â
âAlright⊠fine.â
You nodded, the tension you didnât realise had been building up inside of you leaving your body.
âThen come find me in my tent later.â
You left him some privacy after your swim, returning to your makeshift home to find anything you could use as a massage oil. You settled for an ointment in the end, one that Halsin usually used to treat wounds. It would do. You could hardly use a bottle of grease after all.
You were rather certain Astarion waited until the others were asleep on purpose. When he parted the fabric of your makeshift door and crouched down a little to come inside, you patted your bedroll and smiled at him.
His coyness was adorable. While before his heart-breaking confession, every single word that had left his lips was a flirt, he was but a frightened young man now, intimidated by intimacy.
âLie down, my love. And⊠Astarion?â
His red eyes met yours as he followed your request and removed his shirt, once again revealing those horrifying scars to you.
âYou need to stop me if youâre feeling uncomfortable, alright?â
The vampire spawn smirked. âHow could I possibly feel uncomfortable with your skilled hands dancing over my body, pet?â
âYou know what I mean.â You grinned, relieved that his smarm was not lost on him.
âOf course.â
âNow lie down on your belly and close your eyes.â
Astarion sighed and did as he was told. You straddled him, trifling some of the oil on your hands and rubbing them together before eventually⊠placing your palms on his bare back.
Your fingers glided over the ridges of his scars, your thumbs digging into the muscles, looking for any tension. You found it all too quickly, working knot after knot out of his tormented back.
Soon enough, he relaxed. His sigh was so innocent you couldnât help but lean forward and place a gentle kiss between his shoulder blades.
You pampered him for a while, making sure to massage each and every spot on his back. You did not fail to miss the faint moan when you asked him to turn over so you could work on the rest of his body. Gods, you were enjoying this even more than he was.
Astarionâs gaze was filled with repose and⊠hunger. And when your eyes travelled further down, your lips parted and you realised why.
He was hard.
âDo you⊠do you want me to stop?â
âDonât⊠you⊠dareâŠâ he muttered, eyes half-closed still.
You bit your lower lip, oily hands gliding over his chest. It wasnât just him. You were as wet as the river youâd bathed in just a few hours back and now that you were aware just how much your sensual treatment affected him, the arousal was nearly unbearable.
Breathing heavily, you swallowed and paused.
âHow about⊠I have an idea.â
He sat up a little, propping himself on his elbows. âOh?â
His sly smirk caught you entirely off guard though you were unsure whether he was merely trying to hide his insecurity behind it. Heâd told you he didnât want you to think of him in terms of sex for now and you would respect that wish. There was no need for you to act on your own excitement even if it drove you insane. But if he let you⊠you wanted to make him feel good so badly that it almost caused you physical discomfort.
âI could⊠take care of⊠that,â you muttered, pointing at the growing bulge in his trousers.
Astarion raised his eyebrows, passion glistening in those red eyes.
âLet me pamper you. No sex. I might as well give you a⊠full body massage at this point. And if it gets too much, you stop me.â
âWe⊠we could try.â He nodded, lying back down but keeping his eyes wide open as you opened his trousers with gentle movements and pulled his erection free.
Astarion flinched when your oily hand wrapped around his hardening length, fingertips teasing him tenderly.
âOkay?â
He nodded.
âI need you to tell me with words, my love.â
Astarion cleared his throat. âOkay. That feels⊠nice.â
One thing you realised very quickly was that he had never experienced anything like this before. Someone who wished for nothing more than to bring him pleasure, to make him feel good, without expecting anything in return. To give him back his sensuality where only he and his well-being mattered without his body being sexualised or objectifiedâŠ
It must have been such a novel concept to him⊠biting your lower lip, you began to stroke him with firm yet tender touches, your thumb gliding over his slit and rubbing over his tip.
He squirmed, bucking his hips in response with a quiet moan. It was enough of a reaction to urge you on, your movements quickening and adapting to his rapid breathing.
You paused when he uttered your name with a start.
âNo⊠no, donât stop, my love⊠donât you dare stopâŠâ
So you kept going, driving him to the edge with hungry ferocity. Gods, he looked so delicious. So carefree and innocent all because of youâŠ
âI⊠I⊠I willâŠâ
Astarion thrust up into your hands, his eyes rolling to the back of his head. Pleasure flushed his entire face, his lips parting. He tensed up, his thighs shaking and his fingers clutching at the soft material of your bedroll. He came all over your hands and knuckles, ropes of seed clear evidence of his release. You helped him ride it out, squeezing every last drop from his pretty cock until he was spent and panting, his body relaxing again bit by bit.
âYou look so beautiful when you come undoneâŠâ you whispered, wiping your hands on some rags you kept nearby.
He chuckled. âAnd you do have magic hands. I might have to ask you to do that again soon.â
You smiled, cuddling up to him with a smile. Neither of you bothered to get undressed completely. You were perfectly fine with falling asleep like this.
âAnytime, Astarion. Always.â

A/N: What if you accidentally pickpocket the wrong person? What if that person⊠is a rogue vampire elf who will demand something in return? Something⊠red? (Astarion's not ascended in this one)
Words: 1180
Warnings: mentions of prostitution
Your stomach was rumbling. How many days had it been? Three? Four? Truly, it had never been this bad before. Ever since Gortash had become archduke, the city was drowning in chaos and misery. Benevolent and generous people whoâd usually slip you a coin or two walked on now, avoiding your quiet pleas to spare some change for a starving woman.
You didnât want to do it but what other choice did you have but to pickpocket people? In the dead of winter, merchants rarely left their food out for too long and the taverns were not busy enough to slip your hand into a bag or two.
The streets were your best bet now that the sun was retreating and lit torches threw their warm light on the cobblestones, creating eerie shadows wherever you looked. Your victim would have to be someone rich, someone who could afford to part with currency. Someone like⊠him. Heavens, he was gorgeous.
A noble, for sure. He was elegant. Full white hair, pointy ears indicating he was a high elf, no doubt⊠clean and sophisticated clothing. Surely his pockets would be full and he wouldnât miss a couple of gold coins disappearing to fill your belly with food tonight.
You approached, snaking past a passer-by to wait for the right moment. The elf turned⊠giving you just enough movement to dip your fingers into the small pouch attached to his belt. One, two, three, four⊠five gold pieces should be enough to buy yourself a warm meal tonight and perhaps some bread to feed you for the days to come.
âWhy, you insolent littleâŠâ Panic washed over you when he spoke with a start. The elfâs gaze met yours as he flipped aroundâred orbs boring into your own, anger flickering in his. His hand snatched your wrist in a tight grip before you could yank it back and flee.
âYou have picked the wrong target, darling.â
âIâm sorry⊠s-sorry, donât⊠donât tell the Steel Watch, please! Iâll leave.â
But it was a different kind of hazard this stunningly beautiful elf was radiating. Red-eyed elves were rare in itself but there was something elseâsomething that told you that you had just made a very grave mistake in provoking this particular stranger before you.
âThe Steel Watch?â The elf laughed. âI have no interest in reporting you to the Steel Watch. But in all honesty⊠you could help me out with something else.â
He was charmingâmore than you would have liked to admit. There was a sweet tone of seduction in his voice that went down like honey, so much so that you almost wanted to agree with him. But if there was one thing you had sworn to yourself, it was that you would never sell your body to ensure your survival.
âI⊠no. I donât do⊠that.â
âWhat?â Anger appeared on the elfâs face. No, you realised⊠it was actual appalment. âI didnât mean⊠I am talking about your blood, dear. You smell delicious.â
The thought of him being a vicious murderer on the hunt for the next thrill crossed your mind like a slap in the faceâbut your theory was rapidly disproved when he flashed you a disarming smile. Fangs. He was a vampire.
Your eyes widened, fear now fuelling your body more than the adrenaline ever could. You twisted your wrist, desperate to break free from him. But the relentless hunger had made you weak.
âNow, now, darling, no need to be scared. I am very, very⊠nice,â he said slowly, purring each and every word.
Dragging you after him before you could utter another word of protest, he slipped into the shadows and a dark side alley. A rat fled as you stumbled against the wall, abandoning the rotten carrot it had been gnawing on.
âI told you, Iâm sorry. Please⊠donât kill me,â you breathed out.
âKill you? Iâm not going to kill you. I just need a little taste. I was going make do with a drunk tonight but this⊠this is much better.â
He sighed when you squirmed, resulting in his large body pressing you even further against the brick wall. Your dirty dress scraped against the rough material. You lifted your head, biting your lower lip.
âHow about this? You let me have a little nibble and in exchange, Iâll let you have the gold pieces you were going to steal from me. Iâm not much for charity but I can work with a little⊠transaction.â
He would⊠was he serious? You blinked at him, surprised at yourself for even considering his words. If you accepted, would this truly be any different from selling your body in more intimate ways?
âI promise Iâll be gentle. You wonât feel a thing.â
âYou know, most vampires would have ripped my throat out already,â you said. Your voice was a little shaky but you stood your ground. You had no choice, after all.
The stranger smiled. âIâm not most vampires, darling. Besides, Iâm only a spawn, so you should consider yourself lucky. So? What do you say to my little proposition?â
âIâŠâ Your stomach growled again, making the decision for you. âF-fine.â
âExcellent. My name is Astarion.â
You told him your name with a stutter following his seductive smile. Each and every muscle in your body tensed when he leaned forward, brushing your hair out of the way to reveal your neck to him.
One moment you could feel his hot breath against your skin, in the next you felt his sharp canines breaking it to draw blood. Heâd held his promise. The initial pain subsided so fast that you questioned whether itâd been there to begin with. His mouth closed around the wound he caused, sucking your life essence out of you sip after sip after sip.
It felt⊠good. Youâd expected it to be uncomfortable, to be dancing on the edge of unconsciousness or even death but this⊠perhaps heâd been just as hungry as you. Perhaps heâd been just as desperate as you. Perhaps, perhaps, perhapsâŠ
Your eyes fell shut as you gave in to the soothing sensation. Astarion moaned against your neck, a wordless sound of approval of your taste. You couldnât help but feel flattered when he finally pulled away and licked his lips, a small trickle of blood staining the right corner of his mouth.
âHmm⊠thank you, darling. That wasâŠâ
âAstarion! Astarion! Where the hells did he run off to now? I swear if heâs stealing scrolls from Rolan again, I willâŠâ
The vampire rolled his eyes all the while you kept catching your breath from this unusual and strangely⊠erotic experience.
âIâm coming, Gale. Gods, the man is a nuisance.â He paused. âI shall hope to see you again, darling. You were delightful.â
Astarion slipped away gracefully, leaving you to sink down against the wall but before he did, he gently placed the entire gold pouch heâd been carrying in your palm with a sly smile.
Against all reason⊠you were hoping to see him again too.

A/N: Iâve been meaning to write this for so long. If youâre in the mood for some angst, youâre in the right place!
Words: 1743
Warnings: angst, poisoning
You didnât know what hurt more. Was it the fact that the manâgodâyou had fallen for was on the brink of death, taking his last breaths? Or was it the very circumstance that no one but you cared?
Tony Stark had been very clear about it. He tolerated Loki only per Thorâs humble request. The God of Thunder himself was less than pleased that the Trickster was to serve his sentence on Earth of all places. It was Odinâs magic that restricted him, keeping him from causing even more mayhem after the chaos he unleashed in New York City.
They were even less delighted about him joining their self-proclaimed superhero group on missions even though Thor himself claimed that Lokiâs wit and skills could prove useful.
You had nothing to say in the matter of course. If anything, you were declared crazy because you had expressed your affinity for the God of Mischief and that included Loki himself.
You couldnât help it. The way he smirked, the way he talked, the way he sat in the corner buried in a bookâone of the very few instances you ever saw him relaxed, not to mention the occurrence with the cat⊠oh, the cat. A strayâblack and white, young, purring and dancing around Lokiâs feet, desperate for his attention. And when heâd bent down to pet it and even conjured some food for it, it was the last piece of evidence you had needed to conclude that this man was not evil. Misguided, betrayed, hurt? Yes, all of those things and more. But not evil.
It was the latter. The very circumstance that no one but you cared hurt more.
Thor had left for Asgard already, seeking the advice of their healers. It was ridiculous, truly. In a life-threatening emergency like this, how could his banishment still hold any weight? He needed help.
Your enemy had been thorough, researching each and everyoneâs greatest weakness. And Lokiâs had proved the most fatal. Whatever the extra-terrestrial had coated their weapon in before it fired its arrow at the God of Mischief, it prevented him from healing, had him break out in a sweat and slowly lose a battle against the poison now spreading in his body.
âLoki? Can you hear me? Please stay with me. You got to stay awake, alright?â He was on the sofa, with his head placed in your lap. You stroked his forehead in an attempt to soothe him. Blue eyes found yours and you were unsure whether he wanted to tell you to stay with him or let him die in peace. Youâd been singing to him too. Trying to keep him in the present, in the now.
By the time Thor finally burst back into the room, Lokiâs breathing had become dangerously shallow.
âDid you tell them about the symptoms? What did they say? Whatâs wrong with him? How are we gonna heal him?â The questions gushed out of you like a waterfall before heâd even set his hammer down.
Thor, however, grew silent for a moment. âThere⊠Loki was poisoned. The rat knew what he was doing. The arrow was likely infused with blood from a Memphis of Muspelheim mixed with a deadly dose of mistletoe essence.â
You put one and one together immediately. âSo⊠youâre saying this poison was specifically made to kill a Frost Giant?â
Thor looked down. âYes.â
âWell, did you bring the antidote then?â
âThere⊠there is no antidote. Not on Asgard. And I fear⊠there is no time to search the realms. The Jötuns have spent millennia destroying every last drop of this poison. There is hardly any antidote left.â
Your heart sank. No⊠no! You were not going to let Loki die!
âThere has to be a way. Somewhere we canâŠâ Your lips parted. âThere is somebody. Someone who has everything. You mentioned him before, you said you brought the Aether to him!â
âThe Collector?â
âHe has it. He must have it.â
âWhat, and you think he will give it to you without anything in return?â Tony said.
âI didnât say that. Iâm sure we can offer him something in return to make it worth his while.â You turned back to Thor. âHeimdall can take us there. Please, Thor. This might be our only chance.â
Perhaps you should have been surprised that the God of Thunder relented. There was no doubt he too wanted his brother to survive. The entire time youâd been preparing to leave, Thor was brooding and lost in thought. He wasnât one for big wordsâbut he cared and for the moment, that was good enough for you.
The Collectorâs place was dimly lit, eerily quiet and⊠it smelled awful. You took a deep breath regardless and gave a nod to Thor to venture forth.
âAn Asgardian. And⊠a human?â The Collector tilted his head when you stepped into view. âWhat an⊠honour. What brings you to my humble domain?â
âWe need your help. Weâre looking for something rare. Thorâs brother Loki is Jötun and heâs been shot with an arrow drenched in a rare poison.â
âHmm⊠yes, Iâm familiar.â
âThere is no antidote. If⊠if anyone has any left, it must be you.â
âSo it must be⊠I do indeed have this antidote you speak of.â Your face lit up but judging by the Collectorâs body languageâa smug and repulsive expression, trulyâhe was not going to give it up easily.
âSurely, your Asgardian friend has told you of how the Jötuns have ensured every last drop of this poison gets destroyed. There was a need for an antidote no longer. The bottle that I have in my collection is⊠an antique, almost.â
âFine,â you spat. âWhat do you want in return?â
âYou see⊠Iâve never had a human in my collection.â
Your eyes widened, lips parting to respond.
âNo!â Thor roared.
âThen I am afraid we have reached a dead end.â
âSheâs not an object to be collected, sheâs a person!â
âThor!â Gnashing your teeth, you turned to him and took a deep breath. âItâs fine. Just take the antidote to Loki, alright?â
âNo. There has to be another way.â
âTake the damn antidote to him, Thor!â
âI cannot let you do this.â
âYou can and you will. Heâs your brother, Thor! And IâmâŠâ Iâm in love with him. Heavens, was that stupid? Loki didnât even know. It was absurd, wasnât it? To sacrifice your own life in this way to see the God of Mischief live another day?
Yes. It was. But it⊠it felt like the right thing to do. Loki deserved another shot. A chance to redeem himself, to show the world that he was more than he let on. And a chance to have the damn world apologise to him, too.
âTell him⊠tell him to live his best life, okay? Tell him⊠tell him not to be too harsh on himself. To⊠to love himself.â
âTo love himself?â Thor frowned.
âShut up and listen. Loki hates himself, donât you see that? He hates what he is, he hates what heâs become. He hates himself. And you all played a part in that.â
âWhy would you do this⊠for him?â
Your lips parted. âTell him⊠tell him I fell for him.â There. Youâd said it. But it didnât matter anymore whether heâd reject you, right? Youâd be here, wherever here was and Loki would be back on Earth, recovering. Youâd never have to face his reaction after your confession and yet, he could live with the knowledge that he was not, in fact, so terrible, that no one could love him beyond a family bond like the one he shared with Thor.
âI⊠fine. I will. Mark my words, I will come back for you,â he added quietly.
You nodded. Was there hope? Possibly. Possibly not. But you did not doubt for a second that your sacrifice was worth it.
You didnât know how many days had gone by since Thorâs departure. One? Three? Ten? There was no sunlight in this place, no clocks. One of the Collectorâs lackeys made sure to feed you regularly at least, other than that⊠you were on your own, caged in a pretty glass box until he figured out what to do with you. Unless of course⊠he was just going to keep you on display like this like the maniac he was.
If you didnât know better, you would have asked him for a book. Surely he had some in his collection. It was boredom and solitude that would drive you mad sooner or later, that much you were sure of.
Every sound nearby became more interesting than the next. The cracking of the metal tiles, the flapping of wings of the caged bird opposite your own stupid box, the ruffling of clothing whenever you moved⊠a massive explosion forcing everything in its vicinity several feet into the air. Wait, what?
Your eyes widened and you stood. Were you under attack? Oh heavens, no, you didnât want to be killed inside of a glass box! Would there be another explosion? What if the cage broke and you bled to death because of the shards piercing your body?
Chaos erupted, yet the Collector was nowhere to be seen. A scream escaped your lips when with a start, a figure appeared right before your cage, remnants of green shimmering light enveloping them whole. It took you a moment to realise that it was Loki.
âMy⊠that is quite the predicament you have landed yourself in, pet.â
âI⊠w-what? Loki⊠youâre alive, youâre fine. What are you doing here?â Unable to process what was happening, you inched back when the God of Mischief broke the lock and opened the cage for you to climb out. Electricity rippled through you when he took your hand in his.
âRescuing you, of course.â His sly smirk had you gasping for air as you leaned against him. Your knees and legs hurt from having to sit for so long.
âThor told me what you did.â
âDid he also tell youâŠâ
Loki nodded. Without another word, he leaned forward and stole a chaste kiss, leaving you breathless and wanting more.
âCome. The others are waiting on the ship. And then, my dear, I shall show you the proper Asgardian way of courting a woman.â
You smiled, relief flooding your entire body as he picked you up and carried you home.

My little assassin
You share the bed with Gortash after you rejected Bhaal, and the Chosen of Bane makes the mistake of making it known to you that he is rather disappointed in your decision. Perhaps he needs to be reminded of his place...
A/N: Iâve done it. Itâs too late now. Gortash wrapped me around his finger. Oh well. Enjoy this little piece. Itâs literally based on a dream I had and when I woke up, I was like⊠đČ I have to write this!
Words: 710
Warnings: implied smut, mentions of death, blood, murder, decapitation and necrophilia, evil Durge!Tav/Reader (duh)
It was strange, the concept of freedom. Considering all your sins, it was a feeling soaked in both relief and uncertainty to know that the next time your weapon struck, it would be because you willed it soânot because the God of Murder urged you to carry out his bloodthirsty message to the world. But for the first time in too long⊠you felt at peace, bathing in the silence this new-found freedom brought.
With an audible sigh, you stretched your naked body in the soft satin sheets. Dusk was near, you could see the last sunrays retreating and slowly drowning Gortashâs chambers in comfortable and soothing darkness.
For just a moment, everything felt right. Like youâd never been gone, never been backstabbed by Orin, never been abducted⊠never ended up with a damn tadpole in your head⊠never suffered from amnesia.
Your memories were taking their sweet time to come back to you still. But you were getting there. Bits and pieces, crumbs of information your own brain was withholding from you began to form a bigger picture.
If there was one puzzle piece, however, that had already fallen back in place, it was that Enver Gortash and you shared a history that went well beyond an amenable alliance. You were rather unfamiliar with the concept of love and so was he. What you had was a filthy connection made of lust, greed, and lechery. But you liked himâmore than you wished to admit. There was no doubt you would viciously slaughter anyone who dared to touch him. Only one person was allowed to kill or fuck himâand that person was you.
âTell me, what are you thinking about, my little assassin?â His raspy voice was accompanied by the faint rustling of the bed sheets as he turned to face you.
âYou. Me. My past. The life that lies ahead of me now that Iâm free to do what I wish.â
âIs that soâŠâ he responded with slight dismay, âIn all honesty, my dear, itâs a shame you rejected the God of Murder. To be Bhaalâs Chosen⊠an honour and a responsibility that would have kept you invincible⊠and more powerful than ever, fit to rule by my side.â
The sudden anger surging within you felt like daggers made of ice boring into your chest. Enver was many things but he was no fighter. He was a cunning politician with a hand for charming people into what he wanted. Before he even had a chance to react, you had already pinned him down on the mattress, straddling him. Your hand closed around his throat, squeezing just hard enough to cut off his air supply but not hard enough to keep him from speaking.
âDo you think I turned good? That I want to become a hero now? That I rejected Bhaal because I could no longer bear the thought of my sins? Oh no,â you spat, âFrom now on forth, my sins are my own, not Bhaalâs. Youâd do well to remember that and respect my decision, Chosen of Bane because as much as I enjoy the idea of your warm corpse drenching the sheets in blood, Iâm not much for necrophilia.â
Enver swallowed, and you could feel his Adamâs apple dance beneath your palm. There was a sliver of panic in his dark eyesâit was one thing you liked about him. Heâd never underestimate you or what you were capable of. âOf course. You can⊠let go now, my little assassin.â
You obeyedâfor it would indeed be a pity if your renewed companion withered away so quickly. You had no intention whatsoever to kill him just yet, if ever. Still, when you voiced your threat to give your hazardous anger a vent, you knew deep down that you were not lying. âDo not question me again or I will start questioning whether your head should remain attached to your body.â
Gortash laughed, a sound you enjoyed for it usually expressed his admiration for your ruthlessness; and just like that, another snippet of information dripped into your mind. You remembered. You used to enjoy him praising your cruel savagery. You made a good team, you and him. You wouldnât have it any other way.

Words: 2556
Warnings: smut, SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2
Where is that damn bathing suit? Youâd packed it, right? You knew youâd packed it. It was on top of your suitcase so you wouldnât forget. With a sigh, you rummaged through the clothes youâd brought, creating an utter mess in the process.
Holidays with the Avengers. Hallelujah. No wonder you were so worked up. It certainly wasnât every day you unwrapped a neatly folded plane ticket to the freaking Bahamas on Christmas morning, a âlittleâ treat from Tony Stark who had flipped the ice-cold temperatures in New York City the bird and booked you all a trip to the other end of the world.
Seeing both Steve Rogers and Thor topless was a delectable sightânot to mention how absolutely gorgeous Natasha looked in her black bikini. You felt self-conscious about yourself, to say the least, but the hilarious part was that it wasnât because of a bunch of shredded superheroes; it was because of a very mischievous prince who had the very essence of the multiverse coursing through his veins.
The kiss had been⊠incidental. Rules were rules and Tony had been very clear about all the damn mistletoes heâd hidden across the tower and it was Thor who had not let either of you leave until you fulfilled the silly tradition. Ironically, it had been Loki himself whoâd caused all that attention around the mistletoe all those years ago. He only had to blame himself but heavens⊠he sure knew how to kiss.
And just like that⊠there you had it. After spending Christmas, or Yule, as he liked to call it, Loki hadâunbeknownst to himâmanaged to make you fall for him. He, who just so happened to have become the most powerful being in the entire universe; or multiverse, in this case.
There it is. The black bathing suit you pulled from the pile of clothes, at last, was your favourite, complimenting your body shape in just the right places. Youâd already caught yourself wondering on the plane what Loki would think when he saw you in it. After all, he was a god. Heâd met a number of goddesses and princesses, not to mention a stunning female version of himself. How could you, a mere mortal woman, possibly impress him? Hell, you didnât even have superpowers. Nothing that would grab his attention. Perhaps you should have brought the mistletoe and steal another kiss. Perhaps you could get him drunk so he wouldnât remember your heartfelt confession if he didnât reciprocate it. Or maybe you shouldnât say anything at all and keep the cheeky God of Mischief an exciting fantasy in your head. Youâd totally not named the green and gold vibrator you had bought as a Christmas present for yourself after him⊠you would never do thatâŠ
Despite the fact that the Avengers were slowlyâreally slowlyâwarming up to the idea of him being around, Loki was alone when you joined the others at the beach. Heâd conjured a green blanket with a gold rim to sit on in the blazing sun, his dark green trunks leaving nothing to fantasy. Although he wasnât nearly as shredded as Thor was, godly strength aside, you were certain he could haul you into the air and one-handedly fling you across the ocean if he wanted to. Or maybe do push-ups while you were sitting on himâŠ
âHey.â You sat down next to him without waiting for an invitation, your gaze flicking over to the gang playing volleyball in the sand. âI donât understandâŠâ
âThey hit the ball with their bare hands and fling it across the net. If it lands on the ground on the opposite end of the field, their team scores,â Loki said matter-of-factly.
You chuckled. âNot the game. Why are you not playing?â
âPlease. This is hardly the most enjoyable place for a Frost Giant,â he replied. His voice was just as icy as the tale he was telling.
âI see⊠Iâm sure no one would mind if you returned to the hotel until itâs dark. Itâs gonna be a long time until midnight still.â
Loki scoffed. âOf course, they wouldnât mind. In fact, they are likely hoping for it.â
âWell, maybe you can tell Thorââ
âThor is making things worse. My brother has always had quite the talent for ignoring me when heâs with his friends. I am not going anywhere.â You could practically hear the unspoken words: Iâll stay out of spite and sulk.
âOkay then. But maybe you should wear sunscreen. The sunâs pretty aggressive in these parts of Earth.â
âI am a god. I donât get sunburned.â Indignity swung in his smooth voice as he lifted his chin in defiance.
âAre you sure? At least sit in the shade then. If youâre uncomfortable, Iâm sure we can find you some ice.â
âNoâ, Loki spat, earning him a frown.
âHey, whatâs with the attitude, Trickster?â
âThis is ridiculous. I have a multiverse to look out for and Stark had nothing better to do than reduce me to⊠toâŠâ
ââŠsomeone heâd trust enough to bring on holiday with him?â you offered.
Loki glared at you.
âYou still feel like you donât belong?â
Another glare.
âI donât. Not with them. The only reason I am here is because of Thor who has conveniently forgotten I am even here.â
Your glance found his pale back as he spoke. Loki sighed.
âWould you feel better if I put this⊠sunscreen on?â
âI would, actually. You donât wanna start the New Year as red as a crab. You should be blue,â you said, chuckling at your own joke.
âMy true form might scare away the other hotel guests.â
âO-oh. No, I meant⊠blue as in drunk. Wait, so your Frost Giant form is⊠you have blue skin?â
Loki nodded. âAnd red eyes.â
âDamn⊠can you willingly control that? How you look?â You grabbed the sunscreen bottle from your beach bag and squirted a small amount in your palm. It caught fire the very moment it connected with Lokiâs bare skin. Heavens⊠had he just⊠flinched?
âOdin put an enchantment on me when I was an infant. I could turn if I wished but it mainly triggers if I touch Jötun artefacts.â He didnât seem all too delighted by the idea.
âI see.â
Quickly, to not get carried away by your fantasies, you rubbed the sunscreen on his back and shoulders and then offered him some more for his face which of course, he declined.
âWell⊠Itâs gonna be a long evening. As soon as Tony brings out the schnapps, you can forget about reasonable conversations.â
Loki smirked. âThor brought Asgardian ale. They will be unreasonable long before that.â
âAnd you?â
âWhat about me?â
You shuffled a little closer, careful not to sit in an awkward position and look at least a little sexy. âDo you plan on getting drunk?â
âItâs the beginning of a new year. Hardly a reason to celebrate.â
âHmm⊠probably not if you turn thousands of years old. Still, living the life we do, we should be grateful for every year weâre still alive.â
Loki scoffed. It was easy for you to say, of course. You didnât carry the entire multiverse on your back.
âIâm going for a swim. Itâs getting a little too warm for my taste,â he announced.
You nodded, watching how Loki stood, strolled across the beach, and all but jumped into the ocean. You had to close your mouth to make sure you didnât start drooling over him. Unfortunately for you, Tony sauntered over the very moment you picked up your jaw from the floor.
âYou have a thing going on, donât you?â the billionaire said. It wasnât a question. In fact, you were quite certain he didnât even expect a response.
âExcuse me?â
âIâve seen the way you look at him. Iâve had dozens of women look at me like that. You want my advice? Stay away from him. Loki is trouble. I donât care if heâs the harbinger of the multiverse now.â
âDonât worry, Tony. I can take care of myself,â you replied with a flat voice. âYou could ask him to join you guys, you know. He was sitting here like a pile of misery.â
âHe is a pile of misery. And how is this my fault? He could have asked to join too.â
âHe shouldnât have to,â you shot back. Checkmate. Tony sighed, shook his head and, after taking a huge gulp from his water bottle, returned to the volleyball field.
Alright then⊠if they were not going to celebrate New Yearâs with Loki, then you would. You didnât like beach volleyball anyway.
Loki had been right about the Asgardian ale. Youâd been curious to try it and mesmerised by the taste. By dusk and only one small cup later, you were drunk. Well, sort of. You were present enough to form functioning sentences and sensible thoughts but you would be lying if you claimed that Loki hadnât noticed your predicament.
Torches, driven into the sand, illuminated your unconventional party location, throwing dancing shadows on the ground and the palm trees around you. Music was blaring out from the speakers behind the bar where an employee, bless his soul, was preparing one alcoholic drink after the next. At some point, you had grabbed Lokiâs hand and dragged him away from the centre of attention, somewhere you could talk in peace. You had so many questionsâabout him, about his thoughts, about his life. And the more questions you asked, the more you realised that apart from Mobius, perhaps, no one had ever taken such interest in himâover Thor, anyways.
You must have been talking for hours at this point.
âLoki? Can I ask you something⊠personal?â
âTwelve minus twenty-five!â Tony yelled. Right. Twenty-five minutes until the New Year.
The God of Mischief quirked an eyebrow. You took that as a yes and to be fair, he looked adorable holding a cocktail glass with a little paper parasol in his left hand.
âYouâre a prince⊠and youâre a literal century older than me. You must have⊠lots of experience?â
âExperience withâŠâ
âYou know⊠intimacy. You, umâŠâ You took a sip of your own cocktail. It was a Long Island Ice Tea, one of those you knew got you drunk even quicker than you intended. But you needed the liquid courage. It was the last day of the year, you might as well be daring. âYouâre a really good kisser is what Iâm trying to say.â
âAhâŠâ he teased. âYouâre still thinking about our kiss, dear?â
âItâs hard not to. You wanna know the truth? I have the biggest crush on you. Not sure whatâs stopping me from ripping your clothes off your body right now. Probably the fact that weâre not alone.â
Loki smirked. Then, with a start, he stood up and put both your and his cocktail glass on the little coffee table next to you both. Your heart skipped a beat when he offered you his hand. âCome with me.â
âW-where?â
âSomewhere we are⊠alone.â
Your eyes widened. The way he purred the words you were all but putty in his hands when you allowed him to pull you with him, back into his hotel room. They were big, massive suites all on the ground floor, actual cottages with straw roofs, a minibar, and king-size beds.
âItâs almost midnight. Whatever your plan is, we should probablyââ You didnât get any further. As soon as the door fell shut and the room was drowned in darkness, Lokiâs lips were on yours, his hands exploring your body and tugging on what little clothing you were wearing in this warm climate.
They were gone before you could blink, your legs wrapped around his middle, his hands on your butt, carrying you to bed. A moan escaped your lips when he broke his passionate kiss to get rid of his own clothes. He was wearing a white unbuttoned shirt, one thatâd already had you drooling all over him, combined with another pair of dark green trunks.
You were about to comment how hot you thought he was when he kissed you again. You moaned again, felt his hard length pressing against your inner thigh. Instinctively, you spread your legs further, inviting him in. Still, he took his time.
One of his hands cupped your face, the other disappeared down to where you were already throbbing for him. Loki found you wet and eager, your back arching when he began to pamper your clit with gentle pressure, massaging the sensitive little nub until you went absolutely feral for him.
He was proving it, you realised. Proving a point. Answering your question. Yes, he had experience. And he was about to show you just how he could make his partners feel in bed. FuckâŠ
You whined when he pulled away but before you could complain, he pulled your legs apart even further and sank his length into you. He slid in meeting no resistance, filling you to the brim. For a moment, you both froze.
âYou⊠feel like youâve been made for meâŠâ you heard him growl against your ear.
âLokiâŠâ It was all you were able to respond when he began to fuck you, stroke after stroke after stroke. He was right. It felt so good you feared youâd pass out and miss out on the fun and you realised soon enough that you didnât need his hands to give you bliss.
Loki buried himself even deeper inside of you, his forehead resting against yours; grinding so closely against you he created friction where you needed him the most. Slow and deep thrusts made you throw your head back. And then, all of a sudden, you could hear everyone outside count down from ten.
You came the very moment you heard the Avengersâ scream âHappy New Yearâ, followed by fireworks illuminating the night sky. Flickering, colourful lights fell through the gap of Lokiâs curtains, reflecting the firework inside of you.
Pulsing around him, he kept pounding into you until he too reached his peak, his face buried in your neck.
The fireworks were still going by the time you were able to grasp a proper thought again, a whimper escaping your lips as you relished the feeling of Loki jerking against your walls and filling you with his seed.
âHappy New Year, Loki.â
âHappy New Year, dear.â
The God of Mischief smiledâit was quite possibly the most genuine expression you had ever seen on him. He pulled out and you rolled over so you came to lie on top of him. He was even more comfortable than the king-size bed. But when you tried to sit up and climb out of bed, he wrapped his arms around you, holding you captive.
âWhere do you think youâre going? Weâve only just started.â
âOh f-fuck⊠that sounds tempting but we should⊠probably wish everyone a happy New Year?â Loki quirked an eyebrow yet again. âOr maybe notâŠâ
He smirked and allowed you both to sit up. With a simple snap of his fingers, he produced two glasses of champagne and handed you one. âPerhaps⊠I will start celebrating New Yearâs after all.â
You grinned as you clinked your glasses. âBut only if we do it exactly how we just did it.â
A/N: Happy New Year everyone! â„

After Christmas
âThis wasn't the first time you ran from the police, was it?â
Eddie grinned. âNah.â
Words: 1452
Warnings: fluff and⊠running from the police I guess?
âWhat do I do?â Flabbergasted, you stared at the game board before you, blinking as if their position would change on their own accord.
Your party had packed up and left about ten minutes ago and while Eddie was gathering his super-secret DM notes, you made no move to get going as well.
âTheyâre gonna save you,â Eddie replied matter-of-factly. âThey have to. If you die, theyâll never be able to infiltrate the castle.â
Your character had been abducted by an NPC today, one you had thought you could trust because damn, Eddie was the best Dungeon Master you had ever played D&D with. The way he told the stories, described what was happening, set the scene and acted out the non-player characters⊠he was incredible, and it was hardly short of a miracle youâd quicklyâsecretlyâdeveloped a crush on him.
And now, one of the sexiest NPCs he had made up for your character to unintentionally drool over had kidnapped them and dragged them to their secret lair. A vampire⊠eager to turn you into their obedient and pretty little spawn.
âSheâs gonna turn into what she hates the most!â
âShe might not if your party saves her in time.â
âEddie, what am I supposed to do in the next session? Whatâs gonna happen to her?â
âDonât worry, sweetheart. Sheâs not lost yet. Strahdâs obsessed with her. Heâs not gonna hurt her, he wonât let her die. He might, uhâŠâ Eddie paused and gave you a timid glance. âHe might take her for dinner and then hang out with her at Loverâs Lake, trying to win her over?â
âAre you asking me out right now?â
âMaybe?â
Your heart jumped. âJesus, Iâve been waiting for you to do that since we first met! I was too shy to ask youâŠâ
Eddieâs eyes widened. âSeriously?â
You chuckled. âYes.â
âA-alright thenâŠâ he laughed, cheeks turning red. âWhat do you fancy?â
âIâm happy with a burger and fries. And then a beer after?â
Eddie nodded. âSure. Letâs go.â He was beaming. And all of a sudden, his super-secret DM notes were all but forgotten. You were rather proud of that, truth be told.
Heavens, the boy was nervous. Gone was the dominant and confident dungeon master giving your characters a hard timeâinstead, Eddie tried his utmost best to be a gentleman. He opened the car door for you, insisted on paying for your burger and fries, and Jesus, the little touches he stole had you melt.
âLook what I got,â he said once youâd both finished your meal at Bennyâs. He pulled out a small and crumbled plastic bag filled with two pre-rolled cigarettes.
âIs that what I think it is?â you asked, lowering your voice.
âYep. That shitâs strong as fuck. Rick let me keep two for myself, for a special occasion.â
You smiled, tilting your head at him. âOh? Am I the special occasion?â
âYes. You are.â He called you by your character name, putting on his Strahd voice in the process. You giggled as if you were drunk. Drunk on him. God, you probably were.
âHey, Eddie? What would happen if my character did end up turning into a spawn?â you asked as you walked back to his van and made your way toward Loverâs Lake. It was pitch-black outside by now, the street lanterns doing little to illuminate anything but the road ahead of you which made driving directly into the woods almost a little scary, especially with all the snow around you.
âWell⊠Iâd be able to control her. Sheâd be bound to obey Strahd which means he could order her to turn on her own friends if he wanted to.â
âItâs starting to sound a little like Beauty and the Beast though. If Strahd takes her out for burgers and then a romantic get-together by the lake, I donât think sheâd mind being his spawn.â
âOh, you say that now.â Eddie grinned as if heâd already planned the most evil campaign he could possibly think of. âIâll keep her⊠I mean he⊠heâll keep her all to himself.â
Blushing, you looked out of the window in an attempt to calm your rapid heartbeat. Mere moments later and before you could drown yourselves in silence, the car came to a stop. Eddie parked only a few yards away from the lake and shut off the engine before helping you climb out and then retrieved a picnic blanket from the boot.
âYou came prepared.â
âA DM has to be ready for all eventualities.â
âLike kidnapping an elf princess?â
âLike kidnapping an elf princess and seducing her to stay with him until she falls in love with him.â
Soon enough, you were smoking together, cuddling, and watching the surface of the quiet lake glisten under the stars. You talked about D&D, music, dreams, love, and life⊠until you were pretty certain that you had found the one.
âHey, Eddie?â
âYes, sweetheart?â
âI never thanked you. When I moved here, I expected to be an outsider all over again. Letâs face it, society doesnât like people like us. I donât know what I would have done without you. Thank you. Youâre a hero, you know. A rockstar.â
Eddie smiled, his cheeks reddening. He looked absolutely adorable in the pale moonlight. What if you simply⊠leaned forward and kissed him? It would be so easy⊠youâd been wanting to do it for so long, and now that you were here, by the lake, in the dark, just the two of us⊠there was nothing stopping anymore, now was there?
âMunson? Is that you, kid?â Hopper. In other wordsâpolice. Damn it. Panicked, you scrambled back to your feet in an attempt to destroy the evidence of weed. But there was no way of course youâd be able to get rid of the smell before he reached you.
âShit. Come with me. Run.â
Eddie grabbed your hand and pulled you along with him through the forest before you had properly processed his sudden flight instinct. But then again, it probably wasnât the first time he got in trouble with the chiefâŠ
Through the trees you went, running until you were out of breath and giggling all the way until the sweet metalhead beckoned you into what you could only describe as a boathouse. Empty beer cans and tools were lying around, a couple of fishing rods along the side.
âIn here, quick!â He pointed at the boat and pulled the tarp back so you could hide inside. You climbed in and watched how he all but jumped into the boat himself and then drew the plastic cover over the both of you.
Silence, heavy breathing. The scent of weed, cigarette smoke, and his leather jacket filling your nostrilsâŠ
It was a lot more comfortable than youâd expected. Someoneâeither Rick or Eddie himselfâhad loaded a shit ton of blankets in the boat, presumably to hang out in⊠or to do other activities. Either way, you werenât going to complain. It was cosy. Cheeky.
âThis wasn't the first time you ran from the police, was it?â You shuffled closer, smirking at him.
Eddie grinned. âNah.â
âHeâs gonna find your car eventually.â
âYeah. Iâll deal with that tomorrow. Rick wonât mind if we hide out here until itâs clear.â
His grin turned downright mischievousâyou couldnât see it properly, of course. But you could certainly feel it instead, especially when he pulled out a green plant-looking object out of the inner pocket of his battle jacket.
âWhatâs that? More weed? Itâs too dark, I canât tell.â
âItâs a mistletoe. Stole it from our neighbour when she threw out her Christmas tree.â
âWait⊠how long has that been in your pocket?â
âA few days. Guess I was, uh⊠waiting for the right moment.â He didnât have to say it. That moment was now.
Smiling, you cupped his face in your hands and pulled him close for a kiss. His soft lips moved against yours almost timidly even though it became clear fast he had experience. You wrapped your leg around his hips, a sigh escaping you when he got a little braver and deepened the kiss by teasingly sliding his tongue across your lower lip.
âDamnâŠâ Eddie whispered when you both broke away for air.
âDo you think he gave up?â You whispered. Your lips grazed his, his taste lingering in your mouth.
âProbably. But we should probably stay here⊠for a while⊠you know⊠just to be sure.â
You grinned. âI can think of a few things to pass the time. I hope you brought condoms too.â
âDamnâŠâ Eddie said again. It was the last word either of you spoke for the next hours.
A/N: Damn, how is the year almost over?! Oh well! I've got one last New Year's Imagine planned to post on the 31st, you can vote which character I should write it for if you like! â„

There was only one piece of decoration left in the box nowâit was a dew-fresh mistletoe complete with a red ribbon. And you knew just where to put it.
With a smile, you danced over to Astarion and held the green plant above your head. The vampire spawn looked up, confused and flustered both at the same time.
âWanna know what my favourite Yule tradition is?â
âIâm sure youâre about to tell me,â he purred.
âWhenever two souls are caught under the mistletoe, they have to kiss.â
A/N: Iâm not sure if Christmas/Yule is a thing in FaerĂ»n but if it wasnât⊠I sure made it a thing now! Worked in some of his actual quotes for it to be even more relatable because we're all simps, lol. Also using Yule and Christmas interchangeably here because I can. Merry Christmas to you all! â„

âJingle Bells, jingle bells, jingle all the wayâŠâ Humming to yourself, you rummaged through your bag to take a closer look at the items you had snatched on your journey today. A bag full of peanuts, perfect to still your hunger on the road, a new dagger you had taken from a corpse, for your old one was falling apart at the hilt, a letter from an Iron Fist written to Lord Enver Gortash himself, andâperhaps most importantlyâa little snow globe you had found in an abandoned cottage. It wasnât much but it was better than nothing and had definitely been worth Laeâzelâs eye roll.
You were headed towards Baldurâs Gate and decided to rest in the Elfsong Tavern where Gale, Wyll, and Halsin were currently discussing the price of a room to stay in for the next couple of days. The air smelled like mulled wine and pine cones, and the tables in the tavern were decorated with tree branches, candles and sliced oranges and cinnamon sticks. The atmosphere was lovelyâfestive. You leaned against Astarion with your cheek against his chest, a sigh escaping your lips.
The pale elf was quite used to yourâat least by his standardsâunusual behaviour by now. Well⊠sort of. Heâd expected more hostility toward him after the night he tried to bite you, that much you knew. Instead, youâd offered to help and⊠huh, secretly drooled all over him.
He certainly knew what he was doing and you hated that it worked. You didnât want to turn into a giggling and blushing mess in his presence and yet⊠that was exactly what happened. Every. Single. Day. You tried to hide it as best as you could but at this point, you were pretty certain that he knew you were a hopeless case whenever he was near. And once youâd started sleeping with each other⊠you had become putty in his hands entirely, desperate for his touch even when it wasnât sexual.
You offered him a cuddling dose daily now and you never let go until he did.
âAll right, everyone. Weâre settled. The owner has agreed to give us one of the suites upstairs. It has thirteen beds, its own washing area, and a fireplace. I donât know about you but I am knackered,â Wyll announced as he cracked his bones.
âYou go ahead without me. Iâd like to take care of something real quick. I wonât be long,â you said, the idea thundering through your head with a start having you beam from the inside out.
Gale lifted a hand as if to raise everyoneâs attention before speaking. âI hope so! I have a perfectly hearty rabbit stew planned for supper.â
It had taken the inn owner ten gold pieces and a lot of convincing to get you a Yule Tree. Was it important in midst of everything that was happening? Possibly not. Were you still humming Christmas songs yet again as you carried a small box full of ornaments and decorations up the wooden stairs to your room? Absolutely.
Gale was already cooking. They all knew the very moment you entered the room with it that the tree someone had brought up in the meantime was your doing. And now, while the others were getting ready to rest for the day, you began decorating the room as if you didnât have a care in the world. And for just a moment, you pretended you didnât.
You spotted Astarion glancing at you from the corners of your eye. Heâd crossed his arms before his chest, looking as handsome as ever and even more so now with his hair still a little damp from getting the dust of the road off of him.
âNeed something?â You smiled, noticing how he admired the pine cones dipped in molten silver and the delicious-smelling orange slices on the tree for just a second too long. The straw stars you were specifically proud of as you stood on your tiptoes and stretched to put the biggest one on the tip of the tree, completing your masterwork.
âOh, donât mind me⊠Iâm just enjoying the show.â
You blinked at him, gnashing your teeth as you felt a treacherous heat creeping up your cheeks, for his gaze was by no means fixed on the tree anymore but your behind. At times it was still hard to believe this incredible elf was attracted to you of all people.
âIs this really necessary? I mean, really? Youâre wasting our time and energy on decorating a tree?â
âHey⊠we wonât know yet if thatâs our last Christmas. I donât mean to be pessimistic but you know just as well as I do that there is a good chance we wonât make it out of this alive. I might as well enjoy the little things until⊠I canât. You never know. Besides, this is the first time in weeks weâre sleeping with a roof over our heads. We have beds and a fireplace. I would be silly not to decorate a little, especially with a recent murder right next door.â
âWell⊠I suppose⊠but donât expect me to help you.â
âI wouldnât dream of it, oh fangy one! Iâm actually done and it looks absolutely amazing, if I may say so.â
Astarion scoffedâplayfully so. It was then Halsin joined, admiring your tree up close with a second portion of stew in his hands.
âWell, I think it looks beautiful. Thereâs no better way to get into the festive spirit than with a little bit of nature in oneâs home.â
You fought hard to hide the chuckle bubbling up your throat when Astarion rolled his eyes as soon as the druid turned away again.
âThe man really canât shut up about enjoying the freedom of natureâs gifts.â
You couldnât help it. You burst out laughing. Needless to say, your companionsâ shocked expressions made you cackle even more but perhaps the surprise on Astarionâs face was what brought you even more joy than the way he had mimicked Halsin.
âIn the end, it wonât be the mind flayers who kill me. Itâll be you,â you choked out, wiping your eyes with the ball of your thumb. Gods, you were actually crying from laughter.
There was only one piece of decoration left in the box nowâit was a dew-fresh mistletoe complete with a red ribbon. And you knew just where to put it.
With a smile, you danced over to Astarion and held the green plant above your head. The vampire spawn looked up, confused and flustered both at the same time.
âWanna know what my favourite Yule tradition is?â
âIâm sure youâre about to tell me,â he purred.
âWhenever two souls are caught under the mistletoe, they have to kiss.â
âDo they now?â
You grinned.
âWell⊠in that case, we better not risk the wrath of whatever god came up with it.â
âThat would be Frigg, wife of Odin and mother of Baldur who never wanted the mistletoe to be forgotten again after Lokiââ You didnât manage to finish your sentence for in the next moment, Astarion pulled you close and pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was a promise and a reward, a display of affection⊠and a small gesture of care warming your heart.
âHow do you always do that?â you murmured against his mouth, breaking the kiss just long enough to draw a deep breath. âLeave me wanting for more? Tempting me?â
âTempting you, hmm? Well⊠You know what they say⊠the only way to cure a temptation⊠is to give in to it.â
A little squeak escaped your lips before you could stop yourself. You pressed your lips together to a thin line, eyes wide as your hand flew up to your mouth to cover it. But of course, Astarion had heard you. Amused, he quirked an eyebrow.
âWhat was that?â
âN-nothing.â
âReally? Because I think I heard quite the delectable little noise coming from your lips just now.â
âN-no. Oh gods, you have to stop this. I will melt, Astarion. I will literally melt and then you can go get a mop and wipe me up!â
Astarion laughed, surprise mixing with delight. âOh, darling, I could go all night⊠as you well know,â he purred.
Another squeak. Heâd caught on to it now, of courseâthat the reason for those inhumane sounds escaping your body was all his doing. Oh, for fuckâs sakeâŠ
âOkay, thatâs it.â Arms akimbo, you narrowed your eyes at him. You were all but flustered when you grabbed the collar of his shirt with such vigour, the tiniest hint of surprise and hesitation flittered across his face before his smug smirk returned and you kissed him yet again, longer and more passionately this time.
âYou really will be the death of meâ you breathed against his lips. âItâs a nice way to go though, I wonât complain.â The urge to rip off his clothes there and then grew stronger with every passing second. You knew he wasnât ready yet, despite his relentless teasing and youâd be the last person to push him but⊠judging by how he wrapped his arms around your waist yet again and pressed you closer to his body yet again, a heartfelt kiss was never off limits.
You sighed against his lips, the mistletoe dropping to the ground. Only the gods knew what would have happened if you had not been interrupted despite your fellow companions still in the room but alas, the door burst open with a bang so loud you both flinched.
âThis⊠is⊠AWESOME!â When Karlach entered the room, she was wearing the ugliest Yule sweater you had ever seen. Tinsel and two baubles were hanging from her horn and in her hands, she held a massive candy cane and a mug of what you assumed was eggnog. âI LOVE Christmas! Oh, you got us a tree! We should go and buy presents for each other to unwrap tomorrow!â
âKarlach, please, itâs late and Iâm tired,â Astarion complained.
âFiiiine, tomorrow morning then. A kid downstairs just told me about this fat guy called Santa who climbs through the chimney and puts gifts under the tree if you leave him cookies and milk. Do we have cookies and milk? We have to get cookies and milk!â
You laughed. In that case⊠you certainly had a long night ahead of you before you could get a good nightâs sleep.
Everyone was fast asleep by the time you got up and tiptoed across the cool floorboards on naked feet in the dark, past the crackling fire in the centre of the warm and cosy room, and toward Astarionâs bed. You could hear the wind blowing outside the tavern in the dead of night as you climbed under the covers and cuddled up to your lover who had, without a doubt, been expecting you. Astarion wrapped you in his arms, his lips grazing your bare neck ever so slightly.
âHello, darling.â
At peace and content, you both listened to the instruments Gale enchanted to play quiet music to lull you all to sleep.
âWell, arenât you brave, revealing your lovely neck to a vampire like that?â
You chuckled into his pillow, stretching even more.
âYou know⊠I think weâre past the point now where I have to tell you each night that you can⊠I mean⊠if youâre hungry just⊠feed on me, alright?â
âR-Right.â For a moment, a both vulnerable and surprised expression washed over his handsome faceâbut it was gone before your memory could properly capture it, not to mention the darkness around you made that very difficult. He was so incredibly good at masking his feelings, that you longed to cuddle the shit out of him and tell him that it was all going to be okay. âWell⊠Iâve only just learned how wonderful it feels to have a choice and have your boundaries respected, all thanks to you. Iâd actually prefer if you asked.â
So instead, you settled for wriggling yourself under the covers until he stirred.
âThatâs⊠thatâs good. Thatâs very good,â you whispered as you cuddled up to him even more.
âSo? Canât you sleep or are you just too excited until morning to see me again, love?â
You chuckled. âYour bed is more comfortable than mine.â
In the dark, it was hard to tell whether Astarionâs confusion was real or feigned. It was amusing nonetheless. âYou will find that all the beds in this room are the same, pet.â
âNo. No they arenât. Mine doesnât have you in it.â
âOh⊠my cheeky little pup.â
Your chuckle turned into a childish giggle as a jolt of electricity rippled through you as if Gale had hit you with a lightning blast.
âYou know exactly what youâre doing to me, donât you?â you whispered.
Astarion hummed in response. âWell⊠yes. Though I have to admit I have never met anyone displaying their excitement as openly as you, darling.â
âIâll make sure to never stop. Merry Christmas, Astarion.â
The vampire spawn sighed when you shuffled even closer and pressed a gentle kiss to his cheek.
âMerry Christmas, love.â
A/N: And Merry Christmas to you all as well! â„ I had to dedicate this year's Christmas Imagine to Astarion. I fell so hard for him thanks to Neil, it's insane. I hope you'll spend some lovely days with your loved ones! â„
