i'm sure people have sent you the answer 293 times already too but just in case, the water texture is a default photo filter on the tumblr photo editor!
I mean, you can’t miss it. You see it every single day. You hear it on the news every single day. It’s hard to believe that we’re living in a time like this. It almost seems like as humanity we have not learnt from the past. But just to know that children and women, particularly children, are being killed every day, and our leaders are not really doing anything about it. It’s just… I just can’t compute it.
It’s not been an easy time to utilise your platform. If you post something that’s not going to change the way governments go about their business. I don’t know, I just really felt compelled to do something. It’s a conversation that we continuously need to be having. Why is there not a ceasefire? We need a ceasefire now. This cannot continue on. But the powers that be obviously don’t want that to happen.
There is a lack of taking responsibility within this sport, within the FIA. A lot of things happen behind closed doors, there is no transparency and no accountability, while we all need it. Also the fans. How can you trust the sport like this? Hopefully the stand she is taking now will bring about a change and a positive impact, especially for women. This sport is still dominated by men. We live in a time when, as a woman, you file a complaint and you are fired. That is a terrible story to project to the world, especially when we talk about inclusivity in sports.
Something so sinister and harrowing to me about the only black man in F1 bearing the weight of activism and morality for the entirety of the sport. that when it becomes institutionally acceptable to call for a fucking ceasefire F1 will point to Lewis and parade his bravery as though it was a joint enterprise and say "WE did that months ago".
The indignity about the way he gets maligned then co-opted is more harrowing to me than the overt shit they do to him somehow.
Toto being asked if it's time to abandon this car concept and replying "at this point, we just have to believe this is the right choice" my brother in christ that's not how engineering works im begging you, please, the power of belief will not fix this please speak to the engineers ask them about aero and rear stability, this isn't a church belief isn't enough
