I don't know if I even have the muse to actually write Peter but I just thought of a verse where Tony was a baby when Howard and Maria were killed and Bucky snapped out of it after realizing he just killed his friend and now his infant child was crying in the backseat, went on to raised Tony, convinced Hydra it was all their idea and having Stark Industries under their thumb would be great, Fury helped him break free I'm hydro for good, Steve came back after being found and their in love, Peter as 2 super soldier grandpa's who get him & his power at least a little. Also, Tony got lots and lots of therapy growing up and him and Bucky definitely became a strange as adults but then eventually worked through it when he realized "oh mind control is a thing" and even though he doesn't totally forgive Bucky he understands and they still have a rocky relationship but it's not like I want to kill you rocky relationship and Peter loves his ancient grandpa that he constantly makes fun of for being old in a very joking way

The reaction could have been a lot worse, and John was glad that he seemed to be taking the information with stride. Or at least trying to. “Yeah, with the places that we kept just barely missing each other I figured keeping q secret wouldn't be to hard, top secret intergalactic space travel program and all that but... It's a lot to put on someone.”

He stood up as he spoke, turning towards the door to check that if there were any windows they were covered before looking back at him. “That's not the only secret though, have you heard of that New York City hero Spider-Man that showed up a few years before and for a bit after The Blip? The one who vanished when news broke of Tony Stark's son dying?”

He didn't exactly wait for an answer, hand reaching up over him as he made a jumping motion that seemed to small to do much but got him high enough that his finger tips managed to cling him to the ceiling. The very cold ceiling that was making him want a nice warm cup of coffee.

Rodney had been trying not to fret about that timer for his entire life, and through college and his first early jobs, he'd mostly managed that, given the incredible long time left on it. But when those numbers started to fluctuate, getting down into a matter of months, weeks, even days... He had a more difficult time keeping his nerves in check.

Obviously, he wanted to meet his soulmate, because who wouldn't? But after the first time it dipped down into hours and then soared back up, he couldn't help but wonder. After the fourth time, he started to take it personally. In Antarctica, with it approaching dangerously low numbers under his many layers of clothing, he considered finding a place to hide, just to give this person what they apparently wanted, which was a lifetime free of him, but there was work to do, and plenty of it, and he couldn't restrain his curiosity quite enough.

When that ridiculously beautiful man sat in the control chair, he would've been staring at him regardless, but the way he touched his wrist, just as his own twinged... Rodney hardly dared to blink. "I get the strangest feeling you've been avoiding me," he finally said. Then, "Do you have any idea what you've just done?"

“People took the shield thing way to literally.” His father had never meant for it to keep everyone out, it has been to keep people safe and nothing more. “Actually, it's more like they twisted his meaning intentionally like they did when they gave that jerk Uncle Steve's shield. It was people like Thanos he wanted to keep out.” Peter understood where he was coming from though, and he'd drop it.

He really didn't have any real reasoning other than 'I hang out with a bunch of non humans' for how he knew, he couldn't just say 'yeah, my Spidey Sense got that not human vibe from you'. “Thanks for letting me hide here though, some people would have made me leave or just told them I was in here.”

“No one is really close enough to overhear.” At least he was pretty sure, none that he could hear and he didn't feel the hairs sticking up on the back of his neck as warning. But it was always possible someone had a power that would help them eavesdrop.

At the question Peter shrugged, he supposed that was fair but still. “I mean, more like common decency? My Dad isn't exactly shy about his friendships with off world's, Thor and Nebula are just main examples.” There was a chance that he hadn't heard of Nebula, she tended to be less public then Thor when on Earth. But even people who didn't know much about the Avengers tended to have heard of Thor.
