i really wanna um actually some post i just saw confusing latin root words and derivatives (saying that temple has the latin root word temp meaning time. which means temple means time for some reason idk. but from my knowledge of latin. temple is actually a somewhat derivative of templum meaning in english: temple) but i don’t wanna be mean so instead i sent an entire rant to my discord server LMAO

(i know i have a few people on here who also study latin so please let me know if there are any flaws in my logic or you’d like me to explain myself more 😭)

Series 8 of doctor who is legit the most funny shit ever. Like, Clara is treating both a time lord and a solider like you treat the side piece. Missy is out here trying to plan the most elaborate "get your man back scheme" that verges into "planning a threesome". That Time Lord is acting like a jealous 17 year old who's listened to too Much Carrie Underwood and caught her bf making out with a teacher. And Danny just wants to date the pretty English teacher...

Polyamory would have made shit worse and better.

i’m not against vaping, but man, vaping two inches from my face on the subway is a ridiculous asshole kind of move. this dude was billowing like he was auditioning for the role of haunted house fog machine. the humidity in the whole car changed, he was ruining haircuts. just jump starting the water cycle. condensation was dripping down my glasses. people were slipping off poles, it was chaos. it was like watching one man try to terraform the moon. a planet with one dense, root beer scented atmosphere blocking out the sun and choking all life.

It’s so funny to me that when I first got into doctor who I thought I’d hate twelve because everyone said he’d be mean and boring, and then once I get to him he’s basically a manic pixie dream girl if she saw the horrors of war and was also an old man. My original characterization of him was SO off lmaooo
