originally intended to draw this from the pov of the character whose tie he's pulling on but then I learnt I cannot fucking draw from that angle so here is this other sketch I made

Art tip for developing your own style: Reference your own favorite art pieces!
If you look at the parts you love about your own art, you’ll replicate them and your style will become stronger and more consistent!

Did you know? Or did you forget? You can do whatever you want with your art. Put random scribbles wherever. Horizontal lines over your character. Add dots everywhere and on everything. Draw eyes different than the rest of the face. Change art styles halfway through. Cut and glue paper cutouts. Use paints and markers together. Use all the filters. Use photos on top to add texture.
You can do what you want. Like literally literally literally.
Add a rubber ducky in the corner for no reason, put text in different languages on the background, leave your handprints or wipe your fingers on the paper.
Go have fun now this stuff isn't meant to be stressful for you

while we’re here, learn to draw realistic muscular people! all abs and veins visible is a body building, muscles tensed, aesthetic thing. for this i recommend looking at weight lifters and wrestlers and any kind of real athlete, who will have the right amount of body fat over their muscles. a big muscular guy when relaxed does not have visible abs.

all my advice about using real athletes to learn drawing bodies beyond hard abs, and my particular pref being wrestlers, also applies to women btw. you can draw women who r strong and not an hourglass shape. fucking do it.

kris statlander, rhea ripley (look at her SHAPE), willow nightingale, ruby soho, these r just four off the top of my head that have obvious musculature and different body types. skye blue and julia hart have more slim cheerleader style bodies as well, i REALLY wanted to put emi sakura who is fucking STOUT (adoring) in this post but i couldn't find a good demonstrative pic, the list goes on
DRAW DIFFERENT BODIESSSSSSSS

*firmly grabbing all beginner artists by the shoulders* you have to embrace inconsistency. inconsistency is good because it means you are learning. if you focus too hard on making all your art look the same you are really just holding yourself back and forcing yourself to make the same mistakes rather than develop and grow. style and consistency can come later on when your grasp on the fundamentals is stronger. now take this juice box and get out there and make some art.
