so i got a new job!

I am excited for the next step in my career but I am so sad to be leaving my current position. I love my clients and even more so my colleagues.

whiskey & writing this thesis bc the introduction chapter is taking more linguistical creativity than what I have with just caffeine (idk what to write in this without it sounding like a 3rd grader’s essay yikes)

update: boy howdy did i fumble that! but who knows, all the other interviews I thought i did well and didn't get the job. maybe ill have better luck this time

got a call from a mental health department in my area regarding an application. I couldn't find ANY of my applications for that department (there were a few I think) and it turns out they updated their website so I have no record of what i applied to.

But, they are calling me back to set up a time for an interview, so wish me luck!

going home and making dinner and as you're sitting down to eat you hear you remember your client sharing a trauma with you.

This stuff sticks with you. Social workers, mental health providers, health providers, teachers, anyone in a social or human services field, seek counseling and take care of yourselves.

I genuinely adore how Jurassic Park movie handles Dr. Satler and Dr. Grant's romantic relationship. It's all in the minor details. It's about the way they talk to each other, how close they stand together, how they touch each other even briefly. They don't kiss a single time. They don't say I love you. But damn, the chemistry is enough to sell it.
