on a serious note about this “ALT” feature,  tumblr working to create a built in “alt text” function is incredibly wonderful as most of the time basic accessibility is ignored by many websites.  users on this app have been taking it upon themselves for years to add image descriptions for those with visual impairments who rely on screen readers.  rather than getting angry about it,  i’d suggest taking a minute or two to use the feedback option in the contact support tab to politely let them know we would like it to be a feature we can turn off on our own dashes if we don’t need it.  

this really is a good thing they are trying to do,  the execution is just lacking and hearing some feedback could get them to work out the issues.
