Obi-Wan Kenobi interactions with Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones basically showed the saying “strict parents create sneaky children”

I know Shmi, unfortunately Watto, Qui-Gon and Padmé are canonically the only three to call Anakin “Ani” since they were the only ones who knew and heard Shmi call Anakin by that name. Like if Obi-Wan or, Ahsoka called Anakin “Ani”, like Anakin would be “who told you that nickname??”

I just know one day Anakin would be on a rant about the council after a very heated council meeting diagreement in front of little preschool age Leia and say some uh…not so nice things.
And the next day, the council members would be greeting Leia and Leia would just be repeating every thing Anakin said, thinking it was just conversation.
Like imagine the horror…
Mace Windu: Good morning young Leia
Leia: My father thinks that everything you said yesterday was a bunch of poodoo :-)
Mace Windu: *glares at Anakin* Oh is that true Leia?
Anakin, trying not to hide: Haha, you know kids with all these words 😅
Leia: What are you talking about daddy? You also called Master Kenobi a know it all nerfherder
Obi-Wan Kenobi, grabbing his tea: Interesting, tell more Leia
Anakin: Actually we need to get going…Luke and Padmé need us at um dinner
Leia, sitting down at the table, as Obi-Wan poured her some tea: Mommy and Luke are on Naboo right now, remember. Daddy also thinks that Ki Adi Mundi is a piece of-

Just thinking if Anakin never turned and was allowed to stay in the Order, he would not been like the stereotypical, refined Jedi Masters like Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luminara Unduli and even Dooku. Anakin would have been one of those old, eccentric masters like Qui-Gon and Yoda. Like he would have been whacking people with a cane, telling the most outrageous stories to younglings, and is just known as the master who deals with his droids more than people

I just know Anakin would call Luke and Leia simply “the twins”. Not because he didn’t care about their individuality , mostly because because dude would be too tired to think

Just thinking of Anakin and Luke would have an…interesting personality clash if Anakin were to raise Luke and Leia with Padmé. Yes they would both enjoy the same things like flying and stuff but like um, if Anakin were to train Luke and Leia like he did Ahsoka in Tales of the Jedi (or even more extreme as he especially wants his children to be able to defend themselves) Leia would be more receptive like Ahsoka because she is quite similar in personality with Ahsoka…but Luke probably wouldn’t enjoy that experience at all and won’t be receptive and would probably make him back off as a Jedi.
Not because Anakin would be a bad father or anything, or Luke a bad son. But Maybe they wouldn’t be the best master-apprentice bond because Anakin is more of the passionate, baptism by fire personality.
But Luke is more calm and peaceful and might respond more with gentle parenting. (And hell, who knows if Luke would be a Jedi at all if he was raised by Anakin and Padmé, he had the support system and the means to do whatever he wanted despite his Force abilities, which could lead to another clash between Anakin and Luke if Luke decided to go down a life path that didn’t involve using the Force with his potential.…
But alas, simply a thought.

Steve, getting everyone hyped for the rumble: Now there is one thing you learn before leaving this place is that we, even the WEAKEST among us *points at Ponyboy* are better than the best of them!

But Prince Harry saying to Meghan: “Fuck it, we’re outta here!” now sounds like the best decision a royal family person ever made since the Italian princess turned down King Henry VIII’s marriage proposal because he had beheaded his former wife.
When you are getting bad vibes.

Ranting time
So weird how Anakin is always seen as hating women in the fandom when literally the people he respects and love the most are all the women in his life: Shmi, Padmé and Ahsoka. Even with the other female Jedi, Anakin obviously respected them and never tried to cross them like look at his friendship with Aayla in legends, he was friendly with Adi Gallia and Shaak Ti. Even though he didn’t agreed with Luminara’s methods he never tried to put her down. With Yaddle’s death in legends he was heartbroken and guilt ridden. It’s obvious Shmi raised him to respect women.
But you could argue Anakin had his worst issues with the male figures in his life (besides the clones of course). But that is a topic for another post.

“I know I’ve told this story before, but my abusive ex refused to let me take birth control. I was on the pill until he found them in my purse. I went to the Student Health Center—they were completely unhelpful, choosing to lecture me about the importance of safe sex (recommending condoms) instead of actually listening to my problem. Then I went to Planned Parenthood. The Nurse Practitioner took one look at my fading bruises and stopped the exam. She called in the doctor. The doctor came in and simply asked me: “Are you ready to leave him?” When I denied that I was being abused, she didn’t argue with me. She just asked me what I needed. I said I need a birth control method that my boyfriend couldn’t detect. She recommended a few options and we decided on Depo. When I told her that my boyfriend read my emails and listened to my phone messages and was known to follow me, she suggested to do the Depo injections at off hours when the clinic was normally closed. She made a note in my chart and instructed the front desk never to leave messages for me—instead, she programmed her personal cell phone number into my phone under the name “Nora”. She told me she would call me to schedule my appointments; she wouldn’t leave a message, but I should call her back when I was able to. And that was it. No judgment. No lecture. She walked me to the door and told me to call her day or night if I needed anything. That she lived 5 blocks from campus and would come get me. That I wasn’t alone. That she just wanted me to be safe. I never called her to come to my rescue. But I have no doubt that she would have come if I had called. She kept me on Depo for a year, giving me those monthly injections in secret, helping me prevent a desperately unwanted pregnancy. I cannot thank Planned Parenthood enough for the work they do.”

I know I’ve reblogged this before, but it bears re-reblogging (?).  This is how you respond to abuse, this is how you give people control over their bodies/uteruses, this is how you act as a generally non-judgmental and compassionate person.  I love this story so fucking much.
