Or, you know, a bat to the head, which I've also been advised against doing."

This note... Squeaks had a pretty good idea about who it was from. On one hand, if his hunch was correct, it was good to know that the feelings he had for her were mutual. But on the other...

He glanced over to the bag of chocolates. They didn't have the same "eating this will probably kill me" vibes her cooking usually had, but they still looked a bit off.

After a moment's consideration, he shrugged and plopped one of them in his mouth. His face instinctively scrunched up a little at the taste, but all things considered it could have been a lot worse.

"...Guess they're kinda edible..."
