I think one thing i haven鈥檛 seen people talk about is this scene, and how Korra is bending the metal. She isn鈥檛 Metalbending like an Earthbender would. She is doing it like a Waterbender. This may seem a bit obvious but like, it鈥檚 just amazing how she is taking things she earned as a Waterbender from Katara and using it in a way that gives her an advantage over Kuvira. Kuvira just moves it like an Earthbender would. She keeps her defense up and keeps a steady stance. Korra is changing the metals form and changing it from defensive to offensive. That鈥檚 what waterbending鈥檚 all about, pushing and pull, not forcing it, but guiding it. She is just amazing.
i don't like to yuck people's yum but i have to say that my least favorite thing to come from the current state of Artists on the Internet is the idea of a sketchbook as something nice and pretty and shareable. like i love me a notebook full of gorgeous art don't get me wrong but that is NOT what a sketchbook is. a sketchbook is my friend who i carry around everywhere like a purse chihuahua. it is the physical manifestation of my notes app. it is the container into which i wring my brain out. it is my therapist. and most of all it is filled with absolutely terrible sketches that should never see the light of day.
i feel like the boeing whistleblower case should radicalize more people. a major airline company is producing planes with less and less regard for safety and it's starting to get noticeable. man takes them to court, which would reduce profit at the cost of public safety. he fucking dies the night that boeings legal team asks him to stay an extra day. if nothing happens about this, i hope it gets through to people that america would literally kill you for a few extra cents
