PSA: if you absolutely must have children, please have more than one so they won't be alone when they get older. no one in their 30s should be having to ask their therapist to be their emergency contact.

long time since i've posted so i guess here's an update or something.
i'm doing very very badly. sorry to be a downer but that's just how it is. lithium has robbed me of the ability to feel any positive emotions whatsoever. i'm trying to get off of it, but it's taking longer than i would like. i can't remember the last time i laughed at anything, and smiling is a chore.
so right now my life is limited to: sleep, work, come home and make weird little guys out of beads.

(pictured: a weird little guy made out of beads.)
most verbal interactions, even with customers, lead to altercations so i just. don't talk to people.
in 2023 we nearly lost our home because a jackass wannabe developer did a hostile takeover of the condo association and started demanding enormous sums of money. i spent the entire year researching condo laws and corresponding with lawyers and regulatory agencies (spoiler: there are no regulatory agencies that protect homeowners from HOAs). it feels like i lost a year of my life. and even though the situation it stabilized for now,i'm still walking on eggshells because this asshole still has complete power to demand any amount of money from me for any reason.
so yeah. being alive sucks, being awake sucks, there does not seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel, but i'm still here.

one of the assholes currently working to force my husband and me out of our home is a big bernie sanders supporter. i can't even stick to the "they're misguided but ultimately have good progressive values" line with bernie brats anymore.

Vice President Kamala Harris announced this week that the Biden administration is looking to lessen the burden medical debt has on people by purging it from their credit report. This means that even if people have piles of medical debt — one in five Americans say they do — it’s not going to affect their ability to get a mortgage or a car loan. So they will at least have a place to rest their head and a car they can drive to work every day while paying off their medical bills.
Via AP:
Harris said that would make it easier for them to obtain an auto loan or a home mortgage. Roughly one in five people report having medical debt. The vice president said the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is beginning the rulemaking process to make the change. The agency said in a statement that including medical debt in credit scores is problematic because “mistakes and inaccuracies in medical billing are common.” “Access to health care should be a right and not a privilege,” Harris told reporters in call to preview the action. “These measures will improve the credit scores of millions of Americans so that they will better be able to invest in their future.”
It only seems fair that high medical bills for an emergency or serious illness shouldn’t affect one’s credit rating anyway. It’s not like we’re talking about someone irresponsibly dropping several grand at Versace and then never paying off the credit card bill. Fifty-seven percent of Americans could not afford a surprise $1000 emergency, so the inability to pay off massive amounts of medical debt is hardly a fair reflection of an inclination to default on normal payments — payments you can budget for — on something like a mortgage or auto loan. “Way to be irresponsible by getting cancer, lady! You should definitely be punished for that by not being able to find any place to live!” seems pretty harsh, no?

today i told him that someone made a 7-hour supercut of rich laughing (this is true) and he just said “no”.
whenever i watch red letter media videos, my husband puts on his headphones because he can’t stand rich’s laugh. he says it’s worse than ricky gervais.

here is the issue i have with a big-tent, anybody-can-join trans “umbrella”:
i have no way to explain to someone who lives and presents entirely as their assigned sex, but identifies as nonbinary, that my being misgendered endangers my physical safety in a way that it doesn’t for them. that being misgendered doesn’t just ruin my day because it’s disrespectful and embarassing, but also because it reminds me of how vulnerable i am to actual physical violence. and being thus reminded 5+ times a day eats away at your mental health.
because anything i try to bring up, this person can (and did) counter with “well i’m trans too, i get misgendered too, i know how much it sucks, but you’re still just gonna have to deal with it.”
also, they have no difficulty in being seen as gay! they can enter gay spaces and lean on the gay community and find support and friendship there. i look and sound straight. i’m always going to be met with suspicion. most gay men (that i’ve met) are trans inclusive and wouldn’t run me off after they learn that i identify as a man, but that initial suspicion is always going to be there and as socially r*tarded as i am, i can still pick up on it.
i’m not going to tell this nonbinary person that they’re actually cis or anything like that, because that’s shitty, but i wish it were permissable to acknowledge how incredibly different our experiences are.

Do you know how hard it is to live with a cat that has the intelligence level of literally like a 3 year old but the pure chaos of a high ranking demon?
He’s learned to open the lazy Susan and won’t stop clawing open the flour and rolling in it like a little chinchilla
