she exhales only when he smiles, hoping that she'd proven a point by not letting the sparkle in her eyes shine too much or smile too brightly, to prove that she can be fearsome. and scary. and ruthless. is that too much to ask?? "that's all that i ask," she answers, tilting her head to move her hair away from her eyes. "you're going to be so surprised when i prove you wrong."

is she serious? she can't be. as he studies her face though he can't even see a crack of a smile on her face. his eyes move between her's and then he smiles, trying to not laugh at what she just said. he knew that women always got so defensive when they weren't taken seriously. even if they said something like she did just right now. they expected you to take every bloody thing serious. biting back on his laughter he responds. "i have yet to see you fearsome. but if you're determined to prove me wrong i'll be on the look out for it."

now that she knows that the earth is livable and survivable, rapunzel almost wishes she'd been earthborn to begin with. and now that she's felt the breeze of the trees and the warmth of the sun - possibly the single best thing she's ever felt in her entire life - she doesn't know if she would ever want to go back to space. she hopes that they could all find a way to coexist, and she hopes that they can learn from each other. "it was terrifying," she voices after a moment's thought, thinking back and remembering how she felt in the dropship. "it was shaky and bumpy and the landing hurt, we couldn't really see outside the dropship as it was happening. we didn't know what was going on until we landed," she tells. there's a twinkle in rapunzel's eyes, lips curling into a gentle smile. "really? you would let me come along? i would love to paint them."

truthfully, the commander isn't as hopeful for the future as she lets on. she and rapunzel may get along swimmingly now, but that alone can't possibly determine the outcome in the conflict between their respective people. they needed more time to address and heal the wounds inflicted upon one another. leksa is saddened that rapunzel and her people had only ever known the vastness of space. cold, sterile, distant. only very recently have they felt the warmth of the sun and the wind through their hair. she supposes she is FORTUNATE to have grown up with mother earth. she can only guess how rapunzel must have reacted upon reaching the ground. from an artist's perspective, the experience would be life changing. " i imagine leaving the atmosphere was quite perilous. " the warrior has little knowledge of g-force and zero-gravity, with no concept of what either feel like. in her mind, the dropship plummeted down to earth. " if you're ever looking for some inspiration, you should tag along when we train the nightbloods. they learn in the city as well, but they excel near the trees and by the water's edge. "

"let's hope it doesn't turn into a whole blackmail situation," she muses, though she can't help but wonder what kind of stuff she has. she imagines that whatever it is, it has to be at least a little comical, considering how long she's known the bunch. "it's going to be a blast, i can already feel myself laughing."

"oh absolutely." there was no doubt in her mind that in one way or another, she'd be able to make sure that their plans came to a fruition. "i think i can be pretty convincing when i want to be. and i have enough i can hold over them if they show any sign of not wanting to take part." she could be very persuasive when she wanted to be, if only because she might have things to hold against them. "no matter what, it'll be the best time."

she offers a quick nod and pulls the chair across from him out so she can sit, placing her pile of two textbooks, her notebook, and her sketchbook on the table in front of her. "no worries, i need to finish taking notes for this exam," she muses, opening one of the textbooks and her notebook. "---you look frustrated, are you sure it's okay i sit with you?"

"maybe not terrible at it, just that you haven't found the right name for things yet. you have endless possibilities, when you think about it," she offers. another brief silence, lips pursing together. "i'm not sure. maybe it's a past life thing. you think that might be possible?"
