Photo-a-day November 12, 2020 Owls are known for their ability to hunt at night using their impressive hearing and sight, but none have quite the level of hearing that Barn Owls do. Barn Owls have successfully caught prey in pure darkness using their hearing alone! With his super-hearing in mind, Cosmo was given a shaker ball for enrichment and he was very interested by it! —photo by Tommy Butler

Photo-a-day November 10, 2020 Millipedes, like this one, have two sets of legs per body segment and their legs are positioned under their body. Centipedes on the other hand have only one pair of legs per segment and have their legs positioned on the sides of their body. Millipedes are also rounder than the flatter centipedes when viewed from the side! —photo by Tommy Butler
