These pants! I had to take the elastic out, the waistband off, and then re-cut the top of the pants to fit better. Then I had to recut the waistband because it no longer fit on the top of the pants.
I like how they fit better, but I need to take the elastic out and tighten it up a lot and probably add a drawstring on the inside for security.
I have plans to make a matching red top if I ever manage to finish these pants!

Working on some new linen pants. The pockets are a little crooked, but I am going to wait and see if it is noticeable once they are on. The pattern is a repeatedly hacked pair of pajama pants, so the pockets are my addition and I had to wing the placement on my own.
I need to hit the store tomorrow to buy some elastic for the waist!

This is good! I can work with this!
I ordered some red linen fabric online. Everyone cross your fingers that it isn’t too flimsy nor too orange!

These pillows were desperately in need of being recovered. The old pillow covers were torn and stained and soooo faded after more than ten years of daily use and many trips through the washing machine.
I found this cotton canvas on super sale for $4/yard at JoAnn’s. The fabric isn’t really the vibe I am going going for in this room, but I absolutely had to recover the pillows and the color is an excellent match.
I had been planning to go down to four pillows rather than the six I previously had, since we have a proper couch now rather than a futon, but my partner said he wanted to keep it at three on each side because he uses them all when he is reading his comics. I won’t deny him his ergonomic pillows, and it gives me a chance to introduce another color to break up all the blue and gold. We will have to wait and see what I can find!

It is taking a while but I am slowly but surely making my office/sewing room look how I imagine it in my head.
This little sliver is done!
it was more of an ordeal than it needed to be, but it is finished!

The quilt is done and shipped!
I like it all laid out flat, but I think it is even better crumpled into organic shapes or draped around the human body. The contrast between the rigidity of the squares and the soft shapes of the textile is very pleasing.

The binding is on! The last of the label is done!
I just need to take some photos and show it to a friend who wanted to see it finished and then I can get it in the mail!

I was getting a little frustrated with myself about how long it is taking me to bind this quilt when I realized this will be the largest quilt I have ever made, so of course it is taking a long time to bind!

I finished another one of these blocks today! Only thirteen more to go, plus some elaborate borders around each block.
I genuinely don’t know what I was thinking when I designed this quilt. My goal is to finish it in time for Christmas.

The curtain for my sewing room is nearly done!
I am going to tack some white pom pom fringe to the sides, which will be easy to take off if I ever get sick of it, but for now I want them to be a little extra.
I need to go buy some masonry bits for my drill to mount the curtain rod and tie back on the wall because it is plaster. In the meantime, wanted to see if I was satisfied with how the pleat tape was placed, so I threw the curtain up on one of the rods in my living room. I haven’t finessed the pleats since I think they will be slightly less gathered on my sewing room window, but I think it looks good. It will look even better once it is on a rod mounted at the right height.
