I haven’t finished yet but I just read Bluebell and oh my gosh, what a beautifully crafted story so far and especially that scene with Sam in the gardens. When I say I was bawling but it was in such a cathartic way. There’s something so beautiful in forgiveness and in apologies where there’s no expectation of forgiveness and yet getting it anyway. I cannot wait to devour the rest of this story wow

A darkly funny moment in The Winter Prince was when Medraut accused Morgause of poisoning the king’s heir, and all the Orkney boys basically went “Yeah, that sounds like mom.”  (Gareth burst out crying “Mother, how could you?” which was heartbreaking.)

In further research into Yiddish collections of Arthuriana, my father found a story of Gawain. You'll never guess what it is, I guarantee. Go on, guess. You're wrong.

It's a Yiddish story about Sir Gawain becoming Emperor of China.

I have my ranger assignment for the summer! I'm going back to Old Faithful wooo!

I've been thinking about Yellowstone for months now, and I'm excited to be returning to a park where I've already spent two seasons, because there's such a learning curve when starting a new park. Of course, my last summer in uniform there was 2019, so I can't wait to see what the supervolcano has been getting up to in the meantime.
