It's gonna be such a funny mess when Donald Trump dies of a stroke on April 1st, 2024.

Naturally everybody will think it's fake because of the date only to lose their minds (both positively and negatively based on their opinion of trump) when realizing it's real

There will be massive celebrations in the streets and on social media and lots of predictable "don't speak ill of the dead" discourse about those celebrations

Weird evangelicals will pull some weird number trick talking about how Jesus was conceived on April 1st and that makes Trump a sort of messiah and people will make fun of that

The Republicans (after they're done with the faux-sadness and faux-outrage) will stomp over each other to be his successor but none of them will succeed. They'll tear each other apart and have no single nominee for the November elections.

There will be discourse about if Biden and the living former presidents should go to his funeral (they won't, he was a traitor insurrectionist)

The Ukraine-Russia War immediately goes in favor of Ukraine as morale in the Kremlin is reduced. China similarly backs off from its threats on Taiwan.

Ten thousand new memes are made, some sticking around for years to come.

Not a month later a bunch of unofficial biographies of Trump hit the bookshelves, many with new details about just how awful he was.

Alright, I should prolly clarify; this is all just my opinion and I just wanted to draw out my general reactions while we've been watching TYBW. They're mostly sentiments shared by my boyfriend, John, who's been watching it along with me and drawing these just made us laugh. So take it with a grain of salt. I'm not here to argue right now.

But if you're really curious about my actual opinion (and without going into too much detail): I just don't particularly like Yhwach as a villain and the motivation of the Quincies in general are mostly lost on me. Granted, I haven't read the manga for this and maybe it's better explained there, but that's why I'm talking about the anime and not that. In the anime, the villains suck in terms of motivation and literally only feel like they exist and are doing the things they're doing just so we can watch our favorite characters do really badass shit. Like, that's all I'm getting from them. I don't feel like our characters are really growing any more than they already had from previous arcs and it doesn't feel like there's any real point to all of this past 'look at how bloody and gorey we can get with this show. In't it cool?'

I'm pretty much at a point where I'm only still watching cuz I really love Urahara as a character and I really want to see his Bankai be animated. There are a few other things I've been enjoying, but that's the biggest reason I keep watching at this point. It's just nice to see him again.

But I'll leave it there. I am gonna give it the benefit of the doubt and wait till the anime has finished before coming to any final thoughts. This is just a very brief summary of how I've been viewing it so far and just something I did to make myself and my boyfriend laugh. I only share it because I like the lil doodles. I think they're cute.

Finally getting around to sharing my latest sewing project!

My boyfriend - John - and I started rewatching Bleach some and are in the middle of TYBW and, in doing so, I was reminded of just how much I love Urahara Kisuke as a character. It also made me remember how much I wanted that haori he wears, only to then realize I know how to sew now and have adult money with which to buy materials at the fabric store where I work and can find said materials I like best. So I did that! It was a lot of trial and error to learn how to make it cuz I hadn't made anything like it before, but it was so worth it! It's genuinely so warm, but not, like, super heavy. I really like just wearing it around the house and I've worn it out as well.

To be clear; I wasn't necessarily trying to make a cosplay. I jsut happened to have the cane (dressed as Kisuke for Halloween once over a decade ago and just still had it), I happened to have the hat, and I unironically use the fan at my Joann Fabrics job cuz air conditioning is for losers, apparently. Having that stuff was more of a bonus for when I shared some pictures. I also have a black cat, but she's being a brat and won't sit still for a picture.

Anyway, John has talked about possibly cosplaying Shinji and me as Urahara in the future, but I dunno. Guess we'll see. We do have a couples cosplay we're planning for Bleach, but I'mma hold onto that for a while. ;)

Galaxy Con 2023

I'm super bad with posting about events same day or...y'know...within a reasonable span of time after said event. Prolly an undiagnosed adhd or OCD thing or something, maybe? I dunno. Lots of overwhelming feelings that make the executive dysfunction skyrocket on top of working a couple full shifts that drain the fuck outta me. Not to mention, I hate looking at pictures of myself, so the anxiety of that makes me take even longer. TL;DR: I'm bad at the thing always. 😣

Anyway! I went to Galaxy Con Columbus this past weekend! Without a doubt, the best convention experience I've had in a hot minute. Amazing people, awesome cosplays, and crazy cool art and merch! I haven't left a con so bummed out by the sheer fact it was over in so long and I'm so going back next year. Going to try and do more cons again in the future. I miss that atmosphere and need to get back into it.

Okay, enough of my over-emotional nonsense. I'm gonna start posting some photos I have on my phone (a friend of mine has most of the pics taken this weekend cuz I'm the worst). If you see yourself, please tag yourself so I can give credit where it's due! ❤️

Galaxy Con Columbus Photos

We begin with the biggest reason for us going to this con: Marty Grabstein, voice of Courage the Cowardly Dog! We *had* to dress as Eustace and Muriel and were so thrilled by the reception! Thank you to everyone who got a photo of us!

Next are some cosplayers I got some photos of/with. Like I said, tag yourself if you're in any of these! I'mma start with pretty much the only Urahara *anything* I saw at the convention. Barely any merch of him either save for an absolutely precious keychain I managed to find, but hes my favorite character from Bleach, so seeing this lovely cosplayer was super rad!

Gotta love seeing some Donnie Darko representation, too.

And here are some photos from a Resident Evil photoshoot (I was entirely biased towards the Village group, sue me). Not a big group, but so much fun to chat with the Heisenberg after. Though I wasn't cosplaying anything for this, I did have my Heisenberg plushie and body pillow, which made for a couple of silly photos.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a ton of pictures on my phone past these. Muriel's apron doesn't have the deepest pockets and I was trying to have as little on me as possible for authenticity.

Anyway, I'mma close this out with what was - without question - the most surreal part of the weekend for me at least:

Was not at all expecting to see my favorite artist, Shawn Coss, just kinda hanging out at the con. The circumstances were kinda perfect, too. We chose not to cosplay for Sunday and just wore our chill out clothes for the drive home instead, and I just so happened to have worn one of my favorite SEETHER shirts. It was so cool and definitely made this con all the more memorable.

This was such a good time. Still reeling from a lot of it and definitely looking forward to my next day off so I can actually rest. lol I could probably post some pictures of our haul, but this took long enough to put together so...maybe later.

Day 17: Demon

This is the day I was most excited to do. I really wanted to draw a demon. Kinda ran out of time to actually brainstorm, but I like how he came out. Also...since I just saw the Ghoul Bois of @wearewatcher, I may or may not have felt the urge to add a bonus bit to this:

Oh c'mon, Ryan. He's a big fan. Can you blame him? I couldn't draw a demon and not involve the Ghoul Bois. Just couldn't be done.

Anyway, thanks for coming with me for a little over half the month this time. I may not have been able to complete the challenge, but today's, at least, was fun.

Day 15: Dagger

Just barely made it in time! (Posting just before midnight my time). Weekends are so rough when it comes to free time, but I'll digress.

Decided to use this more as an exercise and directly reference an illustration by Stephen Gammell. When I saw the prompt, I liked the idea of a dagger literally embedded in a decapitated head, and, since I've never really drawn anything like that, I turned to the master of creepy images.

Anyway, just 2 days left and then I'm done with this till at least next year. Thanks to those who've left kind words. It's been very appreciated. ^w^

Day 12: Spicey

So...couple things...1. I think it's technically supposed to be spelled without the 'e' (Spicy), but I'm writing it the way it's spelt on the prompt list.

2. I'm kinda not interested in doing this anymore. I don't want to just quit, but I'm getting so little out of this as an exercise that I just don't see any point in continuing. I do still have a few more prompts I did want to complete, but I can't do the full month. I'm feeling pretty intense burnout overall and I have a sewing project I really need to get to work on that I just haven't been able to get to because I'm more worried about getting these prompts done than anything else.

So, after the 17th, no more Inktober for me. Maybe I'll try again next year, but...we'll see.

Either way, here's today's. I wasn't sure how to convey 'spicy', so I decided to just...try my damnedest to draw a ghost pepper (cuz ghost and spoopy? I dunno). I don't know how to do that well, but I tried. Anyway, I like the sketch I've done for tomorrow, so I'm actually kinda looking forward to finishing it!

Day 9: Bounce

I'm not sure what to really say for this one. A little later than I might've wanted, but, honestly, I had the day off and was mostly using it to recover after seeing the Ghoul Bois, Ryan and Shane, last night. Fucking incredible show and the hardest I've laughed in a hot minute. Love those good Ghoul Bois and I hope to have the opportunity to see them live again in the future. Their show is more than worth it (even if we did get home around 2 am XP).

Also, frankly, I kinda needed a nice day off that was super chill and I was takin' advantage of that today!
