Today is Armenian genocide remembrance day. On april 24, 1915 started mass deportations of hundreds of Armenian intelectuals and community leaders, who were (most of the time) eventually killed. Armenian women and children were systematically r//ed and forcibly converted into islam. There were more than 2 milion Armenians in ottoman empire prior to ww1, 1,5 milion of them were viciously killed. Three millennia of Armenian civilaziation in eastern Anatolis was fully destroyed. Turkey today refuses to acknowledge genocides of christian minorities in early 20th century.

Last year in september azerbaijan allied with turkey initiated a war against Armenia. More that 5000 Armenians were murdered, thousands of Armenia families had to live their ancestrial land to not get murdered. There are hundreds of vids on internet where armenian p.o.w.s are tortured. Recently azerbaijan opened a "museum" displayind dead or dying Armenians and kids were allowed to visit it.

god i love the blue catfish so much. kind of a terrifying superpredator honestly. they like living in muddy water so their eyesight is dogshit, but they've got these huge barbels around their face to feel around, and their whole body is covered in almost two hundred thousand tastebuds to figure out exactly where their prey is, and they've got a special adipose fin to be extra tuned-in to water currents/pressure, and they have super keen senses of hearing at really low AND high frequencies, and they ALSO have a deeply forked tail to decrease drag so they can just cruise around and gulp down literally whatever they want, including other catfish, even in like zero-visibility water where every other animal is basically blind. and they get so fucking stupid huge with this technique that nothing can grab them because they're as big as a person. and if an eagle or something does grab one before it's gotten big enough to be eagle-proof, the catfish has fucking POISON KNIVES on its fins to not only stab things but also envenomate them in the process

i think the worst thing about the whole “anti-woke” culture is how it’s not only dumbing down people (folks are literally forgetting pronouns are an actual word class, an inseperable part of grammar and everyday speech) but also praising meanness and insensibility above all. it has managed to make malice and unkindness synonymous with factfulness and reason as if intelligence didn’t stem from emotions. as if feelings weren’t the very core of human beings. as if knowledge wasn’t achieved through passion, sympathy, and open-mindedness. as if the whole crux of this entire anti-wokeness movement wasn’t rooted in pure unadulterated emotion of hatred and hostility.

my mum looks after Wiggle Bean once a week while his mum's at work, and she's brought out all of me and my sibs' toys from when we were kids and these MOTHERFUCKING ALPHABET BLOCKS

BANE OF MY GOD DAMN FIVE-YEAR-OLD EXISTENCE

I am the alphabetise and organise-by-colour flavour of autistic so there were very few ways for me to play with alphabet blocks, and it was a constant source of frustration that not only could these blocks not be alphabetised

(because they're double sided, not every letter has multiples, and you can't use E F and R S at the same time because they SHARE BLOCKS)

BUT THEY COULDN'T BE COLOUR COORDINATED EITHER WITHOUT MIXING THE LETTERS UP!

not to mention the pictures on the other sides of the blocks were inconsistent on every block! and would face different directions! on one block the side picture would be an upside down picture and on another it'll be a sideways number

and some of them even have extra LETTERS!! which is POINTLESS because they aren't COLOURED AND TEXTURED like the others so they DON'T COUNT

one block even has almost ALL extra letters on the sides and some don't have any!! THERE IS NO CONSISTENCY HERE

and it gets even worse! even the lineweight on the FONTS is inconsistent!!

fuck if someone put me and these blocks in a room with a doctor I would have been diagnosed decades ago jesus fucking christ
