I just do not understand AT ALL how Sam is in any way morally responsible for the apocalypse. he's literally a victim and a pawn and was willing to damn himself to stop it. what did he do wrong? save lives with his mind? get tricked by someone he trusted who was using him? get addicted because of them? want to kill a demon who wanted to bring upon the apocalypse and be willing to die and go to hell for it? do NOT get it.
