So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

While it is true that bees are not as dependent on humans as some other domesticated animals like sheep, there is a symbiotic relationship there. Like there is a reason bees continue to live in those hives. I'm not sure if I would inherently call that exploitation, especially since removing some of the honey can actually be beneficial to the hive's health (and yes, I do know there are wild colonies, but they are domesticated animals).

But that's just me - to each their own! Thank you for the thoughtful convo though - sadly, you're the first vegan I've ever talked to about bees that had any real concern for the biodiversity aspect.

I'm a little concerned that a toddler is explaining skibidi toilet lore to me, but intrigued none the less. Nothing is more beautiful than someone talking about a thing they are passionate about.

people are way too comfortable being dismissive of children and teenagers. if a toddler comes up to you and starts explaining skibidi toilet lore or if a 13 year old asks you if you want to hear about their mha ocs you have to listen with utmost sincerity or at least pretend to. this is the only way you will get into heaven.
