OH OH i saw that new nic cage horror movie Arcadian and ohhhh my god it was so good but i am DESPERATE to learn about the world and lore and the monsters but not much information was given, which i thought was a good choice to keep up the, uh i guess, mysterious vibes of the entire situation? like it added to the terror because What The Fuck Is Happening

sent my biology teacher a message yesterday to be like, hey, this is a lot of information to take in all at once and i am feeling nervous and a bit like a fish out of water, do you have any tips or resources that could help. because i haven't taken any sort of science class in damn near a decade and it is a little scary to be thrown right into biology!

and this motherfucker replied to me "welcome to my class! first of all, read things more than once." and then a couple more lines that weren't as outrageous but also were not helpful (he kinda ignored my whole question about tips or resources) but like...is it just me or is that really assuming/rude? to imply that i did not have the common sense to go over the learning materials more than once. i have been told that yes, that was rude, so i feel a little less crazy but man. it kinda put me off and made me feel like an idiot, and now i'm having a hard time getting started on schoolwork today because i am feeling sore over it.

#i am making an appt with my advisor just to tell her that i was unhappy with this response from him #i'm just flabbergasted because it almost felt like he was annoyed that i asked him to...do his job? #i'm sure he has a bunch of other students messaging him and whatnot which is fine but also i deserve his time too yknow?? #anyway. im just venting and trying to get over the whole thing #i am so so so easily discouraged #graveyard gab

Hell Month(tm) is over and my brain is starting to feel so much better already. i'm SO happy i took the march term off of school, i would not have been okay if i tried to do college while also dealing with all that mental shit. school just started back up today and i'm in a biology class that is very intensive and fast-paced for a 5-week course BUT! i am confident in myself and my ability to make it happen!
