I feel bad saying this, but the Loki series did not work for me. 😩

Which is quite sad, because the cast was fantastic, I love Loki, and I've always been a fan of Owen Wilson and I was also very excited to see what they were going to do with it. Sadly the only episode I enjoyed was episode 2. I'm looking forward to the other MCU shows though. 🙈

Not to discredit Tony’s or Steve’s Leadership during difficult times but Natasha was an important leader and part of the Avengers too no one can take that away from her.

Disrespecting Sebastian Stan

I'd hoped the next time I came back on Tumblr, it would be with a smile on my face, and maybe some good news.

Sadly, that's not the case.

I came here today, after weeks of being sad and disappointed in a part of the fandom, only to turn absolutely disgusted by that same part of the fandom. And let me tell you why that is.

Sebastian Stan's new movie "Monday" came out a few weeks ago. The man himself said how much he enjoyed the plot, and that it was something unique to him. The man himself said what big step it was for him to make that movie, and film certain parts of that movie nude.

And the first thing some do, isn't to watch the damn movie because they like the idea of it, but because they want to see Sebastian nude.

And you know what's the second thing people do? Fucking body shame him, disrespec him, hate him, and be all in all fucking disgusting.

I'm not even on Twitter, I haven't checked my Tumblr in months, and yet, Instagram is where I see fans having to defend Sebastian, because of how nasty some other so-called fans, are.

For a week or two the only thing I saw, were people's opinions on all the hate he's receiving. And today, this morning mind you, I stumbled upon a beautiful edit, with a caption that read something like "seb doesn't deserve the hate". The person that made the edit used a few hate tweets in the intro, to show how nasty some people are. The things said? The words used? I have never been more disgusted, mortified, and angry at how carelessly people use their words.

Sebastian himself has said, time and time again, how uncomfortable he is/has been in his body, how he has struggled with that all his life, how hard it is for him to accept himself. Recently, he mentioned he had body dysmorphia. But he went out and faced his fears. And this is some people's reaction to all of that? This is how they treat a person with Sebastian's struggles, a person who has been nothing short of kind and appreciative to everyone, ever since joining the MCU. This is how people pay him back?

Deciding to watch the movie because they'd get the chance to see him naked. Calling him ugly. Body shaming him. Pointing out his insecurities. Completely, carelessly, disregarding the fact he has body dysmorphia. Absolutely ruining how proud he is of himself.

I have no idea how dare those people be on the internet. How dare they call yourselves fans. Because that's not how a fan acts. That's not even how a decent human being acts.

This is the most disgusting thing I've seen in a very long time, and the fact that people feel the need to do that to another human being is even more disgusting. It's 2021, and some still feel the need to bring down other people.

It's an opinion, right? Well, an opinion that can hurt someone, is no longer an opinion, it's an insult. It's damn easy to hide behind an icon, and insult, hate, etc, other people, but let me ask. How would you feel is you were on the receiving end? And don't you dare bullshit me, because we all know you wouldn't feel okay.

The fact that in 2021 we cannot accept people in all of their different shapes, sizes, and with all of their different unique parts is absolutely devastating.

So to end all of this, please educate yourselves, start using your words and platform for good. Stop using your words carelessly. Because something that might not hurt you, can easily hurt a hundred others.

Let's support and appreciate out favorite actors/actresses, singers and as whole entertainers, for facing their fears and showing us we can do too.

The world is plenty dark, let's bring out lightness.💫

2020... oh boy

That up there is the first thing I think about when reviewing this year.

It’s been madness and I say that while I was one of the lucky ones - at least when it comes to my family and close friends, who either managed to avoid the damn virus entirely or didn’t have any severe complications.

My life, as all of ours, was upside down. School’s been kinda crap and sending me to borders of dangerous mental territories, staying in contact with offline friends was hard, doing things was hard and-… things were just crap. 

I don’t want to dive into ugly things, even if that doesn’t erase them and even if us handling them somehow and amazingly given the circumstances, makes us survivors.

I want to focus on the nice ones this day, because they were which pulled me through; I don’t share much personal details, but there were things in my offline life that would fall into the ‘nice’ category. And they deserve recognition; just not here.

Not on this blog where the main focus is writing and reading and well, Marvel stuff with a sprinkle of other fandoms.

I’m here to say ‘thank you’ to you.

We made it through the shitstorm that was 2020 and I wish 2021 to be a kinder year to us all.
