VOICES | PROLOGUE

📍MOSCOW, RUSSIA

[1999]

A RED HAIR SLIPPED through the dark night to meet a man. A man with a metal arm. The 15-year-old girl entered the bar to sit at the bar right next to the aforementioned boy.

━ Did they follow you? ━ the boy asked in a monotonous voice.

━ They don't even know that I ran away. ━ says the girl in the same way.

━ If they find out .. They will they will murder. ━ reminds you of the guy with a hint of concern in his voice.

━ I don't care. ━ says the girl making eye contact. The two merge into a desperate kiss full of love. They had met before. But whenever they wanted to see each other, they had to spend months before their next meeting. This was the first love of the redhead and it could be said that she was capable of running away without even caring about the consequences that the Red Room would bring her. And although that was the desire of both, they both knew that it was nothing more than a dream. HYDRA and the Red Room would find them sooner or later. That loving kiss became desperate. And although the meeting started in a bar, it ended in a seedy motel.

The boy wanted to make his girlfriend feel special, but he knew that if they went to an extravagant place they would find them faster.

━ I love you, Natalia. ━ He confessed to his girlfriend while hugging her.

━ I love you too, James. ━ and they kissed again.

📍SOKOVIA

[2010]

A dark HAIR sat at the foot of a tree with her book in her hands, while the nun looked at her with a look full of pride and a smile plastered on her face. While the eleven-year-old girl read, the other children ran nonstop.

While the eleven-year-old girl painted the other children played hopscotch. It could be said that the girl was reserved, did not speak to almost anyone, did not get into trouble and always respected the elders.

Alena was a pure and happy girl. But that purity and that happiness were eclipsed when missiles attacked the orphanage and thus, leaving hundreds of orphaned children dead, including the poor nuns.

Those who survived were forced to live on the streets. Including Alena. A year after roaming the streets, one day officers in armored vests approached the little girl and put her in the truck. Obviously the little girl kept screaming to be released while crying.

The men had no choice but to inject her with midazolam and within minutes the girl's body was in an unconscious state. Five hours later the girl's eyes opened to find a man in her field of vision.

━ Who are you? ━ Alena asked with a small voice. Suddenly the urge to cry came back. Noticing that, the man smiled.

━ Don't be afraid. We are not going to hurt you. ━ Two children of the same age as Alena appeared through the door.

»━ They are Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. ━ the twins greeted her, however Alena did not return the greeting as she was terrified.

━ You have not responded to me question. ━ Alena fought so that her voice did not come out weak.

The man laughed. ━ I see you brought out the personality of your mother. ━ the guards laughed in amusement. More however Alena only frowned in confusion. And unconsciously he put a hand to the chain that he had as a souvenir of his mother.

━ My mother? My mother died when I was born.

━ Did you really believe what those stupid nuns told you? ━ The man slowly approached the girl, but she did not dare to give him the luxury of looking like a scared rabbit so he remained in his place with his head held high.

»━ Your mother is a murderer who abandoned you after a night of adventure with our best soldier. ━ the man spat. Alena's face broke.

━ I don't believe you.

━ Everyone turned their back on you, Alena, everyone made fun of you. But that doesn't mean that you can't do something to change the disgusting world we exist in.

the girl knew what she was trying to do.

»━ They are capable of doing everything as long as Sokovia stops being the most denigrated place that it is. ━ the twins looked at the girl curiously.

»━ Ты к нам присоединишься, паук? ━ Struker asked him (So are you joining us?).

The girl's face showed fear and nerves. However, when he said his answer, he did not leave a doubt to those present.

━ Безумно первым! ━ Alena yelled at him (crazy first!). Stuker's wicked smile faded and his face was pissed off.

━ Tie her to the stretcher! ━ Struker said angrily. ━ You already know what to do.

Struker led the twins into another room, but Wanda could swear that Alena's heartrending screams would never come out in her head.

Struker would enforce Alena's request.
