look this blog is HELLA dead but this one shocked me a bit so I feel the need to answer it- I NEVER moved to Twitter, that's just where the acc for the (NOW CANCELED AND IT'S BEEN CANCELED FOR LIKE A YEAR OR MORE NOW) mod based on this AU was. as for me the author, I have no Twitter accs anymore, deleted em soon as the whole Elon Musk situation reared its head. the rewritten belial one stays up for archival more than anything. same as this entire blog, unless I get some unholy compulsion to reboot it at some point, which I likely never will. the story is done, I'm happy with what I did with it, and unless I get rly good at art I don't plan to adapt it to any other medium.

As for the happenings of the mod; almost everything remains the same, with the very obvious exception of dialogue changing to suit eden and lilith's personalities, ending with the two being genuinely concerned about ruv but having to leave him behind before sarvente wakes up and promising to come back for him someday. The mod was basically never intended to include Selever since they're really just a bonus character made mostly for laughs and for when I wanted a break from writing the main characters.

Sooo alright the biggest thing i kept on teasing yall about when it came to the mod; these two fuckers

Eden, on the left, and Lilith, on the right. (NOTE: THIS ART AND ANY OF THE CONCEPT ART THAT WILL BE SHOWN REGARDING THE MOD ARE BY @shimmyshoshammy) As if their stature didn't make it apparent, these two were meant to replace BF and GF. Main reason? BF and GF look ABSURDLY out of place next to sarvente and ruv. seeing them side to side makes you go ''ok what the fuck kinda species are these two then'' since you have regular ass humans next to these color ball faced lookin asses. so to solve that two new characters were thought up; eden, a regular ol mortal very cowardish and bashful in nature who would replace bf, and lilith, the daughter of lucifer (aka satan's sister, in this universe) who is way more confident, smug and overall sassy, but can be genuinely scary if the situation gets dire enough for her to be serious. note that lilith is the voice you hear on the other side during Communion! the first side is demon sarv these two are in fact dating and are both trans!! i was really excited to explore these two some more and give them their time in the spotlight but alas that never really came to be

one the story is basically long over and ruv and sarvente are now part of @ask-belial-ruv and @ask-taki-of-fevertown respectively two and actually kinda crushing thing is uh the mod is dead. some unfortunate mishaps happened with the development team, mostly the mod going cold after being unable to get permission from literally any of the devs (lack of response; mikegeno is the only one with social media still available) aaand there's basically no way out. i was very passionate to see this whole thing realized into a mod but unfortunately that won't come into fruition because no matter WHAT approach the team takes there's always gonna be some sort of crack that makes the whole thing questionable on some sort of moral level so. whoops ... so hey actually if anyone has questions abt what we had planned for the mod, who the hell eden and lilith are and how far into concepts and such we got, i could totally spill some beans

oh yeah and when i say beast, i mean BEAST. this mod reuses 0 assets; designs, animations, backgrounds, music, noteskins, charts, everything, and i mean EVERYTHING is made from scratch. originally the first 3 tracks were intended to be no more than vocal covers; but now they're going to be remixes. so like. built from the ground up!!! BIG mod! not as big as some others sure but i hope it'll be to y'all's liking

I know you said you don't want to respect the creator's wishes but like.... isn't this a bit too far?

. bwuh huh???? i ain't intendin to promote this as a mod that's just better than mid-fight masses; yes, that was the original purpose, but here's the thing. it's grown. on a personal level yes it'll get the weight of being so disappointed over mfm out of my shoulders, but also, this is a mod with passion put into it, it's promoted as a reimagining, not a remake. i've been very careful NOT to call it a remake or better than mfm in any way; rewritten belial plus is its own beast

And here I was thinking demon sarv's design was just gonna be a one off thing that never got anywhere, or that the rewrite was never gonna grow past a fun little sort of mini-fic. and now, that exact character is gonna have her own bangin ass theme. in fact she already does it just needs some touchups and when the mod is done it'll go public and the idea of it being remixed which isn't unlikely is so so so wild to me. every problem i've ever had with the original mfm is gonna be fixed in this mod, something i've wished would be done by someone for so, so long. this is all so wild to me. again i can't stress this enough, thank you, every single one of you. those who just watched, those who asked and participated, those who saw this through to the end, those who helped the blog grow, everyone is responsible for this.
